Visited Olive Bistro casually for brunch, and the ambience is absolutely stunning. The café is surrounded by greenery, with a pathway covered in trees, making the walk inside feel very calming and close to nature. The experience itself feels refreshing.
Olive Bistro and Hoppery are side by side and interconnected, and the view of Durgam Cheruvu Lake is beautiful—especially in February. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, and both are well designed. We chose outdoor seating, which was peaceful and very pleasant. Honestly, I didn’t feel like leaving the place.
Food & drinks:
Started with an orange mocktail with sparkling water — very refreshing and soothing. I loved it and felt like ordering it again.
Tried the mustard grilled fish starter, recommended by the staff. Unfortunately, this was not good at all. It felt overpriced and unsatisfactory. I wouldn’t recommend this dish, especially for first-time visitors.
Chicken Alfredo Pasta tasted really good, but the quantity was very less, which was disappointing.
Chicken Lasagna was not satisfying. It felt overloaded with tomatoes, to the point where it tasted more like tomato curry than lasagna. Reducing the tomato content would really improve this dish.
Moroccan lamb rice had decent quantity and good mutton pieces, but the taste didn’t meet expectations.
Final thoughts:
The ambience is the biggest highlight—beautiful, calm, and perfect for relaxing. However, the food quality does not fully justify the pricing. When paying premium prices, the food should feel satisfying, and that was missing for me.
That said, I would still recommend visiting at least once for the ambience and view alone—it truly makes your day. With some improvements in taste and menu balance, this place can be excellent.
