Top wineries in Perth for oenophiles - SilverKris

"Established in 1829 and cared for by four generations of the Yurisich family, this historic winery—one of Western Australia's oldest—offers a modern cellar door with attractive views of the property. Tastings cover a wide range, with the Durif and Rosé singled out as standouts, and an on-site café provides a large cheese selection ideal for pairing with the wines." - SilverKris

Oldest established winery in Perth, apparently! They have a surprisingly extensive range of wine varietals for all tastes and palates, all grown on site! Lovely staff, and generous tastings at competitive prices. Time permitting I would also recommend checking out their tapas bar next door! (Get the calamari – best I've ever had)

Don’t miss this winery ! Superb wines and wine tasting .. This winery has an amazing collection of wines , all are off a high quality , interesting varietals and really nice tasting experience . In all of the wineries visited I’ve not seen such an interesting collection of red and whites . The staff have great knowledge and above all they have “Frank the Tank” ! Call in for a tasting and you’ll understand about Frank The Tank !

Big shoutout to Mel! 🙌🍷 She was an absolutely amazing host, super bubbly, kind, and made the whole experience so much fun 😊 For just $15, you get to try 8 different wines 🍾 from a really extensive list: sparkling, whites, rosé, reds, and even fortified! 🍇 And the best part? If you buy a bottle, your tasting is FREE! 🥳 Incredible quality wines and such great value, definitely coming back! 🍷💯

— This was our first time doing a wine-tasting experience at Olive Farm Wines up in Swan Valley, and we couldn’t have asked for a better one. Melissa guided us through the many varieties and options on their wine list, and since we are not particular about types of wine etc, she made sure we had an all-rounded tasting experience from their list and also introduced new ones we weren’t familiar with. This vineyard is also accessible via public transportation system, we don’t drive so we took the train from Perth station and before hopping onto a bus to OFW. (Photos by @annopano)

What an excellent experience! Small batch and experimental winery bringing the widest range of wine experiences of anywhere in the Swan Valley. Truly unique! Ana, our host, was absolutely superb; charismatic, knowledgeable, and outrageously passionate about both wine and the mission of Olive Farm. It is totally worth the visit, my pick is the Mencia and Durif.

I recently visited Oliver Farm Wine in Swan Valley for a wine tasting, and I was thoroughly impressed. The standout feature was their modern tasting vending machine style, which offers a unique and efficient way to sample their exquisite wines. The selection was diverse, and each wine I tasted showcased the high quality and craftsmanship of Oliver Farm Wine. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend visiting Oliver Farm Wine for a delightful and innovative wine tasting experience.

Fun place! The wine tasting is fun with the wine dispersing machine. First time seeing it! Do visit to have wine tasting. We had Anna during our visit, it was wonderful. She gave a nice explanation that was easy to digest for non-industry people.

Yelp
Amazing winery in the Swan Valley (actually the oldest in WA). Have never tried a bad wine here and staff are friendly and helpful. Tasting list is extensive and if there's anything else you want to taste, staff are usually happy to allow that. Wines are reasonably priced at around $25 a bottle.

Yelp
Wonderful family-run vineyard, and who doesn't love wine tasting. Hadn't planned on buying anything as we just stopped in after eating at the Cheese Barrel next door, but after sampling ended up leaving with a bottle of Traminer. Also fell in love with the muscat so will pick up next time. Luckily, it is close enough to home to drive up and get some wine and cheese to bring home for a lovely evening.
