Olive Green Hotel

To be fair, the hotel isn't a 5 star hotel, so don't expect that. However for the location, service, food, comfort, I rate this highly at 5 stars. The room is a little different from what I am used to, whereby there isn't a separate bathroom. The toilet is separate, but the shower is in the room, and the sink is next to the pantry/closet area.||The location is fantastic. Walking distance to everything at the centre of Hereklion, and just 10 mins from the pier where you can take the ferry. The service is excellent and the staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The food in their cafe is nice, I had a superb dessert. The breakfast is so very good and we never have to eat lunch. The rooms are kept excellently clean. The bed is very comfy. I've stayed at many places in my travels and this hotel stands out for overall experience. ||I am very happy with my Crete holiday with Olive Green Hotel and I recommend it.

My husband and I chose the Olive Green Hotel based on other guest reviews and location within Heraklion. It did not disappoint. We were upgraded from a simple room to a room with a balcony which was very comfortable. Once I worked out the controls we were able to achieve a suitable temperature in the room. The shower is a unique design, being within a separate cubicle in the bedroom itself but definitely works. The beds were ideally comfortable. |The reception staff were always very polite, friendly and helpful.|The breakfast was ample with a great choice ranging from various cereals, dried fruit and nuts, hot choices with bacon, eggs etc, breads, Cretan rusks, marmalades, jams etc, juices and a decent tasting coffee.|We used the restaurant/cafe a couple of times. Very good value for money, well presented and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.|All in all I would recommend this hotel and if I have opportunity to visit Heraklion again I will choose to stay at the Olive Green Hotel.

I was hosted there two days (16-17/11/2024) and my experience was fantastic. It is settled in a good place to reach quickly the airport, the port, the bus station and the archeological museum. Room - It's different. Bath, shower and sink separated. I liked it because you do not disturb the other person. Moreover, there was a tablet, free use and some amenities: coffee, tea, water... Staff - The receptionist in the afternoon (Saturday) and morning (Sunday) was very, very kind. He helped me with each doubt I had. And the receptionist on Monday morning,very kind as well. I could not interact too much with him, but fantastic. I apologize for not remembering your names. Cleaning - Very good too. Even, I would like to apologize to the cleaning staff. I did not realise to push the "not disturb" bottom to avoid they to clean the room on Sunday. When I returned, everything was fantastic again. Sorry, I did not want you to lose your time 😕 Breakfast - Very similar to others. I recommend this hotel

This hotel was a disappointment. | It is located on a tree filled square with many restaurants nearby. It is a short walk to the harbor. |The front desk staff was businesslike and remote.|The room was adequate. They do not supply hair conditioner --A fact that seems to be different from all other hotels.|Although there were one or two staff present in the breakfast room, they did not engage at all with the guests even to greet them. When I asked for decaf coffee, they said there would be an additional charge. Really??

This is a a very well situated, modern hotel in central Heraklion, with friendly and helpful staff. It is close to the Archaeological Museum, the bus station and a host of excellent restaurants. There is a very good breakfast buffet as noted by other reviewers. My only quibble is that I wish there was more room to store clothes in the bedrooms: it is not always convenient to live out of a suitcase.

This hotel is in the middle of the city with problematic traffic near by although a paid in parking house is 2 blocks down the street (at €8.50 per day). I recommend to book it through one of many online booking websites as the walk in price is about €20 higher than elsewhere online. A restaurant and bar is adjacent to the check in desk on ground level. Parking is not available there but a paid parking house is 2 blocks away at € 8.50 per day. No street parking is ever available nearby. Port of Heraklion is within walking distance with various ferries docked here daily. Breakfast is included in the basement well stocked with variety of local food. Rooms are super clean with rather odd setting (shower stall is in the middle of the room).

The hotel was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Staff was exceptionally professional , friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious - a wonderful assortment of hot and cold items. Location is great- close to many things but quiet. Will definitely stay here again if I get a chance to return to Herakleon!

Loved this hotel. Super spacious and modern. After so many hotel with tiny showers, this offers a full room just for the shower!||Olive Green is about a 10 minute walk from the Venetian Port. There’s a bunch of stuff to see and do there as well as shopping and restaurants.||Our room overlooked a little courtyard, and there was a coffee shop restaurant right next to the hotel.|The breakfast buffet in the morning was on the ground floor and the food was really good. It was also on longer than most other places breakfast buffets.||It was really easy to get a taxi from the hotel and the airport and ferry port are about a 10 minute drive away.||Would definitely stay in this hotel again!
