6 Olive-Themed Things to Do in Shōdoshima Chō, Japan - AFAR

"A low-key, olive-focused park modeled on an ancient Greek village, featuring a replica Parthenon, amphitheater, and a statue of Athena alongside rows of silvery-green olive trees — including one planted by Emperor Hirohito in 1950. Visitors can learn about the island’s olive history through multimedia exhibits and information points scattered around the gardens, and there’s a highly 'grammable' photo opportunity recreating a broomstick scene from a famous animated film. The site emphasizes the island’s cultural link to Mediterranean olive tradition rather than offering amusement rides." - Laura Martin

Its decent to use the restroom. Locals hang out . No one seems like trouble. It does get dark . I wouldn't want to be around to see what happens though

Clean and free of riff raff. But then again, im usually here when the hoodlums are still sleeping. 2 new buildings going up. Says selling units. Look like they should be apartments. But go figure.

I live near Olive Park. The reviews are deceiving. They are often vagabonds outside the park. And there’s some trash. I could see how it’s appealing for those that have their children in baseball. But otherwise there’s not much going on here. There are no trails.

Enjoy the games and the playground with my family. Highly recommended for families and Excellent fields for baseball games ⚾️

Came here on a weekday afternoon and there was no one here, for a summer day I was impressed. We drove by another park that was really busy. This park has two structures, younger kid and older kid and one regular swing and baby bucket swing. There is plenty of parking and restrooms close by. My favorite part was the shade! Both play areas were completely shaded (the swings are not though).

I was walking by when I seen this park. I wasn't sure if I would like it but the playground is really nice. My son loved it. The bathrooms are open and clean for a park bathroom. There is a baseball field. There is a place to sit and eat if you want. The only concern is that the playground is a bit too close to the street so it's scary when you have a toddler.

Yelp
Here is an idea let's build a park with a bunch of baseball fields for little league and no parking.

Yelp
FIX the parking situation for Orange Olive pony baseball. I've never seen such a terrible choice for baseball fields to be at. Tear down the building that has been vacant for years and make more parking.

Yelp
Lets go out the Ball game! Yeah baby, that is why, I came out. My nephew is a rock star when it comes to baseball! I found the actual grounds of the park. Safe+clean+and full of kids ready to play baseball! Thanks to all the parent(s) volunteers that wake up early to show your kids. How much you love, and to show support for baseball! Impressive if you ask me! The baseball league in OC is by far impressive! Parking needs work as in none exciting or maybe a parking structure would greatly help. I can dream right?! Over all the park is safe and clean. The bathrooms? I have no idea I never went to check those out. Otherwise this is a family oriented baseball + safe + clean park.

Yelp
I come to watch my nephew play Pony Baseball. My 4yo also loves the playground here. It's very clean and they even have a clubhouse you can rent for special occasions that is right next to the playground. When it's baseball season, parking can be difficult on the weekends. There's a limited parking lot and a ton of street parking but it fills up quickly so you might find yourself parking in a neighborhood further down depending on the time of day.

Yelp
If you are in little league at Olive Park then you know that the fields are fantastic and the playground is great for the kids to run around after they finish up their games. But how about that parking on game days huh? Man can it get brutal here, be warned that you will have to park pretty fair if you don't get lucky. Don't even try going into the parking lot, you are best to pull up and drop off and then head and find a spot on the street or in the neighborhoods. The fields are very well kept, my son currently plays tee ball and the field is nice for the kids. They even did a special treat of shamrocks painted on the field for St. Pattys day. How cool is that? The league is a great one and the price is super fair for kids to play a season. If you are looking to get your kid into baseball look into the Olive League. CHEERS!!

Yelp
My son has been playing baseball at this park for a few years and it is a great well kept park. It has about 5 to 6 different fields for different levels. They are all well kept and have seating. There is a snack bar and restrooms available during all games. It's not just all about baseball because it has a playground for the kids and a recreation room as well. I see that room being used for parties, exercise classes and meetings. There is also a shaded table area with many tables which is great for a birthday party. The parking is the only downside when games are going. It's not a big lot but there is lots of street parking available. You just have to walk!

Yelp
This park has many functions including the notable little league baseball games. They have an area for children to play and benches for adults to relax. The park has at times people visiting to walk or hang out with loved ones. I have come by before work or during lunch and relax while watching the birds or ducks at times. The park is small but very well kept, I applaud the maintenance staff. right off of Glassel st which leads to the 91, makes this park very convenient.

Yelp
Quiet park but since close to the Riverbed there are people sleeping in their cars and riding their bikes to use the restroom. It made me a little uncomfortable. No sand at the park so that was nice.

Yelp
Olive Park is a great park for those that just want to relax and enjoy the sunshine. It is small and great for jogging, walking and playing with your dog. This park is mainly designed for playing baseball/softball and the fields can not be used by adults. (The fields are only for kids). There is also one picnic area, a few water fountains, a play area and a recreational room. This park is not far from the 57 freeway. It is ok for what it is but there are other parks in Orange that offer more amenities.

Yelp
Small quiet park with playground, picnic area, baseball field and tracks. Has clean public restrooms.

Yelp
I never knew this park existed until my friend's family held a gathering at the facility inside the building at the park. It was a pretty clean and well-kept parked. There were a ton of trashcans at the park, so littering shouldn't be an option. My friend's surprise engagement party turned out to be a fun-filled event. We ate Mexican food buffet style, met more of her family, and we took a bunch of pictures. We even made use of the empty mini donkey pinatas hecho en Mexico. If only those pinatas can talk. We abused them in our pictures ahaha (It was rated R).

Yelp
A great park for little league. Clean, and with great facilities, there is a nice snack bar, a play area for younger kids, and parking is not too difficult (you may need to wait a minute or so). During hot days, there isn't much shade for the bleachers/grandstands, so bring a hat or umbrella.

Yelp
Great place for baseball games or even if you just want to play at the park :-)
