What a find! I'd go to Tulbagh just to eat here again. All three our meals were top quality and very tasty. The decor is modern and smart and we loved the large fireplace heating us on a cold Winter's day. Staff are friendly and we appreciated the unexpected little mahala starter with butternut dip - such gestures always work! If I had to find something that could improve, it would be that the ladies' room in the hotel really smelled of damp and mold, but that was far from the stunning restaurant. I can't wait to return to try other dishes on this menu too.

The outdoor seating at the front of this establishment appears very relaxed and comfortable but we found the rear smoking section to be very charming and secluded lending itself to a long, relaxing and inspiring dining experience.
The waitress was very friendly but somewhat unprepared and uninformed about the menu. The menu and cocktail options were not quite what we had hoped for and we felt that the options were too expensive to gamble on should you not like what you get.
The mussel starter was however an absolute delight and we recommend it wholeheartedly!

2nd time visiting the restaurant as we were sure to be guaranteed a great meal.
Fish and chips were really good and generous portions IMO (hand in the pic for scale) fish was fresh and the beer batter was delicious and crispy.
We turned down 2 other restaurants in the area as we didn't want to take a gamble.

We had a good experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I ordered the Asian Pork belly and it was a huge portion with roast potatoes. The meat was soft and tender. The service was good. I definitely recommend this eatery.
