Olive Tree Apartments

What a perfect holiday apartment. Absolutely everything we needed. Spotlessly clean. Lovely pool. Wonderful host, couldn’t have been more accommodating. Would definitely recommend Olive Tree Apartments.

We loved the friendly and homey atmosphere in the hotel. The staff is very helpful and makes a stay here very easy with lots of advice for your trips (both booked or self-organized) and suggestions for beaches and restaurants. The well equipped rooms are very clean and spacious with a balcony to the ocean and a sitting area with view to the mountains as well. There are lots of books in different languages that one can read. The pool is nice and it is cozy to lie in the pool area. Children are very welcome and can enjoy the clean pool whenever they like. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. One only hears the crickets. We recommend it highly. Thank you very much.

The owner Mr Kostas was very easy to communicate with and always available for anything. I arrived after hours and my check-in was very well organized and professional. Ms. Eleni was so sweet and helpful and genuinely invested in each and every guests experience, not just at the property, but in Kissamos overall. She is very knowledgeable about the area and had great recommendations and suggestions. I also just genuinely enjoyed our chats and spending time with her. She works very hard and you can easily see that, as the rooms and the property are literally spotless. I will return to Crete, just to stay here again. It was so peaceful, fantastic views, huge accommodation, easy parking and great location for activities on the West Side of the island. 10/10 - 5 stars - Perfection!

Private and quiet location for a perfect family getaway. You need a car to get around, easy to reach several beac hes and Kissamos town for shops etc. We stayed with my wife and 3 kids aged 2, 8, 10. The pool was perfect for us, it is cleaned daily and has enough size and depth for proper swimming and diving. Room was clean and good quality for the money, nothing fancy but usual Greek style. Nice view to the sea and surrounding farmland with olive trees all around.

We stayed here for 10 days and were really happy. Their was a nice welcome when we arrived late in the evening and during the whole stay the staff there could not have been more helpful. Linda keeps the place spotless. The pool is very well maintained. The apartments are only a short walk (less than 10 mins) to kaliviani village where there is a nice selection of restaurants. Prices at time of writing reasonable.

We stayed here the first week of May. Really quiet place off the beaten track but easily assessable to tavernas, supermarkets and beaches. We loved our stay. The room was great, clean and tidy and beautiful views of the mountains and sea. Couldn't fault any of it. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in May/June 2019 for a week - 2 adults and 3 children in a 2 bedroom duplex apartment. We found the apartment itself pleasant and it was kept very clean. The thing that let it down was the cooking facilities (2 ring camping stove that took an age to heat up, a very old sandwich toaster and a severe lack of suitable pans/utensils/worktop space to really cook very much). Also, the pool was freezing and seemed to be on the wrong side of the building to benefit from sun all day. ||||The nearby village of Kaliviani is walkable and has some really lovely restaurants however, there is not much around the apartments so I would say hiring a car is essential to get about. The supermarket is a 15 minute drive away as are Balos and Falassarna beaches (both beautiful).||||The owners of the apartments are lovely and made us feel welcome.||||If you want somewhere off the beaten track then this is your place but it was a little bit too remote for us.

The apartment was big, airy and had a balcony that was super, as you could have your breakfast outside. The pool was very clean and the whole 5 days that we were there, we didn't have to share it with anyone, as most people use the apartments as a base to visit the surrounding area. ||The one draw back was the kitchen facilities, which didn't really live up to our expectations, a 2 ring oven that had seen much better days and the choice of an enormous saucepan to feed the 5,000 or a tiny saucepan, made cooking even pasta difficult. The apartment could benefit from a toaster, as the toast took almost 15 minutes to grill and breakfast time was nearly over. A proper cooker, new microwave and toaster and this apartment would be just perfect.||However, we had a wonderful time and it was a good excuse to eat out instead at the local tavernas, which were within walking distance.
