Olive Tree Hotel

This hotel deserves milion stars because everything was amazing. My stay was welcomed by two wonderful ladies with good energy. My room has two amazing views: in the left I saw the mountains and in the right I saw the sea. The breakfast was home made and there I ate the most delicious pancakes in my life. The hotel is situated close to the beach and to restaurants and bars, but in a very quiet location, in nature with amazing flowers and smells. Also, the hotel is situated in the best village of Lefkada. Thank you very much, I will sure come back and recommend this hotel to all of my friends.

We stayed here in early May when Agios Nikitas was blissfully quiet. This hotel is only a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. It could be difficult to access for guests who are not very mobile. Everywhere is kept spotlessly clean, the staff are very welcoming and at breakfast we had homemade cakes by mum & aunty! It is however quite basic and our towels were very worn and the most uncomfortable lumpy pillow! We didn’t see anyone at reception during our stay but staff were very helpful when asked. Although very simple it was still a pleasant stay.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, only that. Very expensive comparing with the conditions they offer. The hotel is very old, old appliances, the bathroom is full of water after you make a shower and is too small for 2 persons to fit in, the room is very small. About breakfast, don' t even bother. Very poor, you don't have much choices and the food is not good. It's cheaper if you go 2 streets away and buy something (we ate every time to Han's and Berries, very good quality). Besides all this impresions, we also had a bad exeperience with one of the receptionist. We booked one double room and we received a twin room. When we noticed this, they told us if we want to move to another hotel for one night and come back next day because they will give us a double one. Next day, surprise, that room don't even exist, she told us that there is no room available, the only available was the twin room. The girl was very rude and was always with an ironic smile on her face. This was the first bad experience we had since we are comming to Greece. Not all the time the conditions were ok, but at least the people was always very polite. Other than that, search in another place.

We have stayed in this hotel twice this summer. The location is amazing, just a minute to the city centre and still located in a very quiet part of Agios Nikitas. ||We enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and excellent food prepared by the cook, Lina. She was happy to adjust the menu for our small daughter whenever we asked for it. We felt pampered during our stays. There were tiny things like the hotel was borrowing sun umbrellas so we didn't have to buy our own and could simply borrow one during our stay.

The good points. Hotel is close to the beach, about couple of minutes of walking. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores around. Ioanna and Demi (apologies if I wrote the names incorrectly), the young staff ladies are friendly and helpful. Rooms are fairly clean and have fridge. Balcony size is good enough. I really think they all are trying to be better.||||Bad sides. Very low quality of hotel. Looks significantly nicer on photos. Especially valid for rooms that as the other parts of the hotel require extensive renovations. Check in problem. Our room was not ready, but that was on us since we arrived too early. However, we were told which room we will be in and when we got back keys of that room were taken. There was nobody on the reception to talk to, and in the end other guests called the receptionist on the phone and gave us keys of the free room. Sound insulation like it does not exist. Electricity went out two times. Poor and not enough secure WIFI. Dog barking in the hotel in the middle of the night. Uncomfortable pillows. Forget the bathroom.

We were here for the second time, we returned after 4 years. Our stay here was even better than the first time. We stayed in an apartment, with two rooms, one with a double bed, the other one with a couch and two single beds. We had a terrace, very private, surrounded by a lot of vegetation. They payed a lot of attention to hygiene, related to the Covid 19 situation. At arrival they checked our temperature, and the covid tests we had taken. The breakfast was not a buffet anymore, we were served at the table. We had to announce the preferred time to have breakfast, and this way it was not too crowded, maximum 3-4 tables at a time. The food was delicious , different each day. Everything was clean, the personnel wore masks and gloves all the time and they were very nice. ||The best place to be in Agios Nikitas, in my opinion, very close to the beach.

Staff is nice, great breakfasts, beautiful location. But... We supposed to have 2 bedrooms + kitchen for 4. They gave us apartment with one bedroom for 3, no kitchen. Promised to give us the room after 4 day, but it didn't happened. Air conditioner didn't work. There are 4 parking spots - 10€ per day, but you don't have any assurance that someone else don't park here. The manager has obviously chaos in work because other customers had problems too.

The staff was kind and always helpful. Rooms are clean and they are cleaning them every day, following all protocols due to Covid situation. Breakfast is very nice, every day is different, you feel like you are at home. Location is also perfect. This hotel deserves better reviews, I really can not understand those spoiled people giving bad rating. It is excellent for a 2 star hotel, we were suprised. Good value for your money and I would like to come back again.
