Olive Young Myeongdong Town

Well organized. Clean. Has a lot of stuff. Drinks. Feminine hygiene. Face masks. It was cute but it actually didn’t have any of the items I was looking for. I wanted a thin liquid eyeliner and a compact powder blush with an applicator in it and hand masks that are unscented. They didn’t have any of those. I had to go to another store still but I still bought things here

It’s much much cheaper to buy products here than it is in the US, even if you use the Olive Young app or Sephora app in the United States. I’m talking about half the price, which is fantastic! Bring your passport to instantly get tax-free on your purchase as well. There is a bit of a language barrier if you ask for help from an employee, which is understandable. I had one employee tell me to use a conditioner after I use the deep conditioner pictured. It’s a great place to buy skin care, but not as good for makeup, especially foundation. The cons: this store is packed with people and super crowded. This is a super crowded area of town known for shopping though, so lots of people is to be expected. OY used to give out tons of free samples, but I was disappointed that I was given zero freebies when I purchased all of this.

what a local korean makeups shop and so many cosmetic choices that you may be dazzling to pick up thooooo! but it’s really plenty of options for girls and all makeups are amazing and fantastic’ just like a heaven for girls!! 🤭

Huge but a lot of people, long lines. If you want to test products, you have to squeeze with others or wait aside for a while. Eventho it's big, some items were still sold out.

Having spent over $700+ on this visit, I was surprised by how much the Olive Young experience has declined. In the past, they were known for their generosity with samples/free gifts and events, a customer-first atmosphere. This time, it felt rushed and impersonal. If you’re looking for a more premium, relaxed shopping experience with better service, I’d recommend heading to Chicor instead. It's a shame to see a former favorite prioritize volume over customer appreciation.

They’re currently doing a collaboration with Sanrio, and there were so many cute items. I bought a bunch as souvenirs. Sanrio really is popular everywhere! The store is always crowded, and depending on the time, it can be hard to even walk around, but checkout is smooth and efficient. They also handle tax refunds, which is really helpful.
