In love with my ring and the whole experience! We did the jewellery making workshop at Olive Yu. Mira went out of her way for us making sure we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The whole team were so helpful, kind and patient!! Mira made sure each of us walked away with a piece we truly loved. They also have a lovely shop upstairs so we bought some clothing from local brands to take back home. Can’t wait to visit again next time I’m in Ahangama!! Thank you Mira and team 🫶🏼

Yesterday, I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a workshop at Olive Yu Studio, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was inspiring, and the space felt both welcoming and creative. The team was incredibly supportive and professional, guiding us step by step with patience and passion. I learned so much, not only about the craft itself but also about the beauty of taking time to create something meaningful with your own hands. Thank you, Olive Yu Studio, for such a memorable day. I left feeling inspired, confident, and excited to keep learning. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in discovering or deepening their love for handmade artistry.

The workshop was a really nice experience! I enjoyed very much. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the price for the class and also for the stones was really fair. I’m very satisfied with my ring and with the experience.

I went to get a gemstone I had purchased set into a pendant. The sales assistant, Mira, acted quickly and with expertise, providing me with options and tried to meet my needs. The high service offering was appreciated, as I was only in the area a few days. I was extremely happy with both the turnaround and the result. Thanks Mira! and Olive Yu store.

We had the most amazing experience making our rings. This was a treat for my daughter and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were fantastic and patient and allowed us to take our time in creating our personal style. We were also offered the opportunity to add precious or semi precious stones to our rings and choose the setting. This took a full three hours plus, but worth every minute. Don’t worry…. If things go wrong at any point they are quick to offer support and remedy any mistakes, so that you are guaranteed an amazing piece of jewellery. It was a fascinating and fulfilling experience, creating the wax ring, to making the mould, melting the silver and pouring it…. filing it down, sanding and polishing the end product. I would thoroughly recommend heading to Olive Yu to create your own special handcrafted masterpiece.

I quite like the ring I ended up with but I wasn’t happy with how the workshop was run. It’s a great souvenir but it wasn’t a calm environment to learn something new. We started an hour late and didn’t get any information while we were waiting and at the start the previous class was still working around us so it was loud and busy despite the fact there was only meant to be 9 in our class. There are also a lot of extra costs so it ends up being quite expensive in the end and we didn’t get a briefing on these extra costs at the start due to how busy it was in the room. We weren’t able to pick out gemstones at the start and design around them. Instead you design the ring and while it’s setting, you pick the gemstones. This meant I ended up with a design that didn’t fit the gemstones I chose and had to go through a few loops before we found anything remotely similar. A few of us had to leave the rings at the shop for the gemstones to be placed and collect them the next day which we weren’t warned about and when I collected mine, the gemstones weren’t arranged as I had asked them to be. It still looked okay but ultimately wasn’t the design I asked for. Overall the staff are super knowledgeable and some really try to help where they can but the workshop is just too badly organised and not enough attention was paid to the designs we made at the start of the class. There wasn’t enough one to one help and I often couldn’t find someone to ask for help when I needed it - there was a lot of winging it involved. I think a few of us walked away a bit disappointed at the end of it.

I want to thank the team for this amazing experience! It was not difficult for me to create the jewelry at all. The staff is very friendly and supportive throughout the process. I really liked both the result and the process itself. Thanks again 😍❤️
