I don't even know where to start! Such a great hotel, best locating ever, close to everything you could imagine, the hotel itself is super! They thought about everything you might need the staff are so nice, they have us great recommendations for restaurants , bakeries the best of the best and everything with a huge smile. Pablo from the reception was the best of the best. You feel that they do they job from a very happy place. The room was clean with everything we needed, nice window, nice city very, good shower, café, tea, we didn't need anything else. The rooftop was spactacular, great space, beautiful pool that we didn't enter since it was too cold. And i almost forgot the room cleaning was super, they organized everything so nice and left little chocolate. I think that when you go to this hotel you can't get wrong, i hope more buisness will do what they do.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, cozy, and very comfortable, and the entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. A special thanks to Mr. Rafał, who took great care of us, his professionalism, kindness, and personal attention made our stay truly exceptional. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back

Google
I stayed three days at Olivia Balmes Hotel, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, taking care of everything I needed with a smile. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of space for my belongings. It’s not a “top-design” kind of room, but it feels warm, clean, and welcoming, and the price definitely matches the quality. I stayed alone, but the room can easily accommodate two people comfortably. The lobby isn’t particularly modern or fancy, and the Wi-Fi there was a bit unstable, so it wasn’t ideal for working. However, it’s still a nice spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee and relax. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-priced stay with excellent service in Barcelona.

Google
This was truly the best hotel we’ve stayed at across Europe. The location was perfect, the service was exceptional, and the rooms were beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable. Every detail from check-in to daily touches showed how committed the staff is to creating a flawless guest experience. Our stay couldn’t have been better. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Olivia Balmes Hotel for three nights and four days, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. First of all, the location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, close to shops, restaurants, and just about everything you’d want to explore in Barcelona. It’s such a convenient and strategic spot. The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and great quality. But what really made our stay special was the staff, every single one of them was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We arrived close to midnight, and the gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond to help us with our luggage and make sure we were comfortable. Even the cleaning staff were lovely. The management even surprised us with a small sweet treat, which was such a thoughtful gesture and really made our day. Overall, it was a wonderful stay for our family, and we’ll definitely come back next time we visit Barcelona. Highly recommended!

We stayed here from October 11-14 and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very nice - rooms are just right, nice and clean bathrooms, and very quiet room. The location is perfect - it’s in the center of everything. We walked everywhere from the hotel - Gràcia, Sagrada Família, L’Illa, Las Ramblas, and Gothic Quarter to name a few. So many restaurants within the 3 mile radius and such a wonderful area. The big plus is it’s only 2 blocks away from Baluard, my favorite coffee and bakery.||The staff were fantastic - so helpful, courteous, friendly, and accommodating. A big shout out to Zakarias (I hope spelled his name correctly), Godson, Margarita, and everyone who was there during our stay.||I highly recommend this hotel and I can’t wait to be back. Thank Olivia Balmes Hotel staff for making our first visit in Barcelona an amazing one.

I stayed here for 6 nights in march and had a good experience. WiFi is good and reliable. Room is sound proof enough. Shower is in the middle of the room, which is kinda odd. Room is a bit dated and wear and tear can been seen in many places. The front desk staff are helpful. The drawbacks : 1. Cleanness is not up to par. I see stains on the wall and curtains 2. Shower is in the middle of the room, very weird 3. The sink does not drain very well 4. The rooms are very dated. I dined at restaurant many times and there were holes in the booth seats

Google
Our stay at the Olivia Balmes Hotel in Barcelona was genuinely the best hotel experience we've ever had. The true standout was the service, particularly from Margarita, who started our trip perfectly by graciously arranging both an early check-in and a complimentary room upgrade. Margarita went absolutely above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. Our upgraded room itself was fantastic, offering a spacious and beautifully designed space. We especially loved the luxurious waterfall shower, which was a wonderful touch. The inclusion of a private terrace was also a great addition.

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The hospitality and warmth of this hotel is unrivaled. Our room was clean, spacious, and had all we needed for our four night stay. The parking garage was secure and cost $22/night. The breakfast had many hot and cold options and made starting the day easy. There were a lot of restaurants and shops nearby and we walked to manu points of interest from the hotel. It was the perfect stay for our time in Barcelona!

Yelp
Stayed at the Balmes after a last minute air bnb emergency & we were so grateful to have them squeeze us in a short moments notice. Amazing service, from the front desk to the delicious restaurant, comfortable accommodations.. great location! I will be coming back.

Yelp
Our stay at the Olivia Balmes Hotel in Barcelona was perfect. We were upgraded to a bigger room upon arrival from a long flight from Northern California, USA. The entire staff, ESPECIALLY RAFAL, was courteous and friendly. They answered all our questions with patience. The hotel is perfectly located just off of busy shops and restaurants. Price was very competitive among numerous hotels in the area. We would definitely stay there again!

Yelp
We recently stayed at this hotel and must say it was an exceptional experience! The staff, particularly Godson, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. His professionalism and attention to detail truly stood out, making our visit memorable. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful, quick and offered excellent service! Hotel itself was great too with a central location! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding service and a comfortable stay in Barcelona.

Yelp
My son and I stayed for a weekend to see Casa Mila and Basilica of Sagrada Familia and a few other places. The hotel seemed new and modern and they were quick to accommodate my request to be in a quiet room on a high floor. We like the room very much and our stay was very pleasant. I'd choose to stay here next time we are in Barcelona.

Yelp
Perfect Location. Incredibly Stylish. Service Exceeds Expectations. I just returned from a stay at this fantastic hotel last night after a week's cruise. The decor is contemporary and elegant. My room was not supposed to be available until 3, but one became available and we got upgraded *sweet* to a superior room on a high floor overlooking the courtyard. I loved the dark wood and minimal styling of the place. The chic rooftop pool was perfect for a white sangria in the afternoon basking in the warm Barcelona sun. The bartender took care of everything. Wireless was free. We got a complimentary glass of their house cava when we arrived and our room was available earlier than I expected. The service, however, is off the charts here. EVERYONE was accommodating and anticipated my needs, from getting boarding passes printed, to recommending a place down the street for a coffee or an ATM, to giving us a walking map with recommended places to see, to ordering my cab for the morning and even asking me how I wanted my coffee to go when I had to leave for the airport. I loved this place. I would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! Room Tip: High floor courtyard was perfect.

Yelp
I am giving 5 stars for service, 4 stars as it is not a posh, expensive luxury hotel. The staff and comfort and service were truly exceptional. Great value for a very modern and lovely hotel. Location was great. Walkable to many attractions, shopping and food. Convenient to metro.

Yelp
4.7 stars. The room we stayed in is the interior balcony, which was very clean and well kept. There's a minibar, kettle for tea and coffee, and the room itself has a very modern feel. The room opens to the bathroom which seemed odd at first, but it grew on me. Once you enter you put your keycard into a slot which turns on all the electronics in the room. The toilet has its own space, minimalist The shower has an option of either a wand or rain shower head. I personally only used the rain. All the doors are very modern contemporary. The shower and closet doors were barn door style, and a unique feature to the room was a three panel glass door that separates the bathroom to the living area. The hotel staff were very welcoming, especially since my wife and I are primarily English speaking, they were more than willing to guide us in language and culture. They're not very attentive at the restaurant/bar, but it's made up with friendliness and willingness to accommodate. I, definitely, would come back, and I recommend to all travelers and friends.

Yelp
This hotel is going to get a pretty mixed review from me: very strong positive and very low negatives. Overall, that makes for a 2! The positives: great location, touristy enough that you could get what you needed fast (like 24 hour convenience stores), and walk to what you need, but without the congestion of the Rambla. The staff were overall very nice. I would 100% recommend this hotel for a single traveler, maybe a business person - the wifi was the strongest and best I've had in the world, including in my own home! The negatives : the room was designed to basically be my idea of a torture chamber. There were a couple of major missteps. Firstly, the bathroom and shower were not in a separate room, but they were part of the main bedroom. Which could be fine except they had see through doors and the doors didn't close either (no locks and no genuine seal). Thus if you were on the toilet your traveling company could see and hear you! Awful! This is definitely a room for people who are super comfortable with each other as the vanity was also in the main room (it was all one room), so go with someone who has seen you without make up! The second awful part was the automatic light sensors and the key controlled electricity. You had to keep your key in a slot near the front door to have electricity in the room. This meant you couldn't charge your phones while you went out and about, since you take the electricity with you. So annoying - but what was worse was that there were two bright lights in the room controlled by movement (the slightest movement, and one night even no movement they just kept turning off and on!) AND ALSO THE BATHROOM LIGHT. So remember how the door is see through? If you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, All three of these sensors would go on, and the whole room was illuminated for at least 5 minutes. The only way to rectify the insanity was to take the key out of the electricity slot, which meant no heat or a/c and no charging your phones yet again. So so dumb. One day it was going to rain and so we asked for umbrellas and were told one umbrella per room. Also so dumb. The bed was a spring bed that shook with every movement, the pillows were too soft and the sheets felt like stiff starchy bleach. The final comment id like to make is that I had to go to the emergency room in the night for what turned out to be a corneal inflammation in my eye and the front desk guy sent us to the wrong hospital.

Yelp
Stayed here for our honeymoon. Five stars for the room, the staff, and the proximity to sights and shops.

Yelp
Excellent location, all the best restaurants around. Service from the beginnings was very nice. We had reserved a room for 2 because was a little confusing the website where we booked the hotel but we brought our little 5 y old daughter, the person at the check in was very polite to say we needed a room for 3, not a problem they charged us a little difference and put us in a room with a sofa cama for her. Room was extremely clean and nit. Spacious por Europe. Price was fair for all the amenities and great location.

Yelp
Recommend to anyone who would like to save time and enjoy their stay in Barcelona. It's a three minute walk to Casa Mila, and 10 mins to Casa Batllo. Staff are extremely helpful when it comes to booking tickets in advance to tourist sites and also restaurant recommendation! I love this hotel and would come back if I have the opportunity to visit this lovely city again.

Yelp
A contemporary hotel decorated in a very modern decor. All though surrounded by very old buildings, it offers a friendly modern safe environment. Loved the roof top pool and bar, and the service was above average. Will not be back since room was too hot and AC would not work. Called front desk and asked about getting it cooler, they tried to adjust thermostat with no luck, so decided too ride it out till next day. The 2nd night got upgraded to a large suite, so appreciate the effort Bring bottle water because the tap water is terrible?

Yelp
The room we stayed was really funky, I especially liked that it was possible to tuck away the TV, so you don't have that big black square in the room. At the same time there are these little things that bugged me. For example, the smoke alarm is right over the bed and has a flashing red light on it. Veeeery difficult to ignore when you are trying to sleep. I really don't understand why it has to be flashing. And there is a pull out shelf thing with a light that comes on when you open it. But then you have to close it every time you want that light to go off. Tedious. All in all a nice enough hotel, little pool on the roof and quiet enough around.

Yelp
Sleek, sexy hotel in the Eixample area of Spain. Enormous shopping options available from Jimmy Choo to Mango. Plenty of restaurants too. A 20 minute walk and tennis shoes will get you to the city center and La Boqueria. Metro train station is directly outside hotel-yet hotel was pretty quiet. Rooms are nicely designed, however I was expecting more. I didn't care for the set-up of the mini-bar area in the room and there were a couple of areas in the room that needed some minor touching up (a couple of scuff marks on wall and chair). I found the rate to be on the high for what you received in a room (I had standard double). The bed however was extremely comfy and Wi-Fi worked amazingly well! Staff was warm, welcoming and willing to help with any questions we had.

Yelp
This hotel was cute. Very modern and sleek. The staff was so friendly. When we arrived and had welcome drinks, one of the guys brought us a city map and highlighted the best things to see, recs on where to eat, transportation options and everything. The room itself had a small balcony and a strange bathroom setup- you slide glass doors to separate the room- but it doesn't really do much to contain the humidity from the shower. The TV is hidden in a wall panel which was nice. There's no plugs beside so to charge anything you have to use the desk.

Yelp
This was our first stop on our honeymoon. From the beginning, the service was been top notch. Our 8hr overnight flight had us arrive around 10am, many hours before check in. Josep quickly offered us a welcome drink, while they got our room ready. We had cava in the lounge. The lounge is chic and beautiful. I loved the white leather chairs. After 20 or so min, Josep had our luggage in our room waiting for us. The room was beautiful as Josep upgraded our room to a room with a view and terrace. The terrace had a nice view where one could see the church on the hill. It was so beautiful. The room was very contemporary. The bed was very comfortable and allowed us to take a nap before our busy schedule of tours. The welcome box was a nice touch. I have a large shoe collection and the addition of a shoe horn and polish was a nice touch. House keeping had little snacks waiting for us each day. We had chocolates and cookies - they were nice surprises after each day of sight seeing. The hotel has easy access to everything. It is a 10 min walk to the city center and had bus and metro stops across the street. Josep made the trip memorable. He recommended and made reservations for us at great restaurants (not tourist traps). All the restaurant recommendations were excellent. My wife and I are foodies from New Orleans and thought his recommendations were great! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, as the service and great rooms were well worth it.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's not a decadent, over the top luxury hotel but it's wonderful. The location is fantastic and I walked almost everywhere I needed to go. The rooms are sleek and clean but it's the service that really shines. The staff were amazing and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
Fantastic place to stay in barcelona. I had a wonderful time here. It is in a great location (about 5-10 minute walk from the CasaMila area; 10-15 minute cab go park güell, 20 minute ride to barceloneta; and a 20-25 minute walk to sagrada familia). The hotel is sleek and modern and the service is fantastic. Everyone was very accommodating and kind and I felt like every need I had was met. The rooftop has a pool and a gym. The gym is rather small but it has all of the necessities. There is also a very nice sitting area on the top floor that has a beautiful view and it is nice to sit there and have a drink. My room was clean and stylish. The bed was vet comfortable and I had the absolutely best shower, with three different heads- my favorite was the rain shower. Overall I had a great stay and I would definitely recommend as a place to stay in Barcelona

Yelp
We will definitely be back soon. The staff and hotel were quite exceptional. Abel at the front desk was the best! He made our stay seamless with suggestions on where to go and visit. Booking segrada familia with him was so easy. He is such an asset to the hotel. The location was perfect walking distance to the main streets filled with restaurants and shopping. Our favorites were mauri and ciudad condal nearby. We felt the safest in this area compared to the others. It was close enough to the action but far enough to relax and still enjoy Barcelona culture. My boyfriend and i cannot say enough about our wonderful stay here. See you soon!

Yelp
This is probably the most modern building on the block. The rooms were chic and upscale. The staff is friendly. The hotel restaurant was lacking in flavors and most of the time empty. When we first checked in, the room was not fully cleaned.
google avatar

Kelly Y.

Yelp
Great spacious rooms, amazing location, super polite and attentive staff and all very clean. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay here. The hotel is located just 2 blocks from La Pederera and all of the best shopping. It's about a 5-7 euro can ride away from Las Ramblas, Sagrada Familia, Parc Guel, and most restaurants. Stay here if you want to be centrally located.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow, super sexy modern hotel in Barcelona! I loved this hotel. Great location and super nice hotel. Excellent service by the staff!

Yelp
Spent 3 days in this hotel. The staff was fantastic. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning department were outstanding. We came in a couple of hours before check in and while the front desk checked to see if our room was available, they sat us down for a complimentary cafe con leche. Rooms were just right. Very cozy. Within walking distance to Passeig de Gracia, La Sagrada Familia and also the metro since a few of the sites in Barcelona are spread throughout the city. Would definitely recommend this place to people. Honestly, the only thing that was keeping this review from being 5 stars is the internet tend to be slow at times especially when it came to their computers downstairs. But all you have to do is ask the staff and they're more than willing to assist you and go the extra mile to fix any problems.

Yelp
The warm, friendly service, the impeccable and modern room, the delicious breakfast (make sure you opt for breakfast included) are just the basic reasons why you'd want to stay here. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. From check-in with Lenin to welcome drink with Alberto, to an escort and room tutorial with Godson, the overwhelming feeling of gracious service is really the foundation of the Olivia. Truly, this is hospitality with a capital H. The room itself is small but very smart. We got floor to ceiling windows facing the street but never once heard a noise inside the room. The bathroom is unorthodox by U.S. standards but once you get used to it, fantastic. I don't think I can carry on at home without a glass-enclosed rain shower, can't do it. Thanks to Alberto for all the great city tips, and to Xavi for the morning Cava. There's more, such as the very cold a/c, and the rooftop pool, which should be mentioned, but without going on and on, we wholeheartedly recommend the Olivia Balmes for your stay in Barcelona.

Yelp
LOVED this hotel! The location is perfect to hop on the metro or train. 5 stars for the amazing staff for being so kind and knowledge about where to go and what to see. And a special thank you to Josep and Alexi.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is wonderful and very willing to help you no matter what it takes. Super modern rooms with great modern features. We booked this last minute and they totally took care of us. We will back at the end of our trip and they are going out of there way to match the price we got the first night.

Jason D.

Yelp
Spent 12 days across Spain and France. Last hotel before going home was this one and I'm upset I didn't stay here the entire trip. We arrived early and were given drinks in the lobby as our room was "prepared" but really it was only them taking up all of our luggage. The room has been the cleanest and largest. Also make sure you get breakfast include!!! It's an entire buffet of hot, cold, pastries

Yelp
I can't wait to come back to this beautiful city and I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else other than this hotel. They provided the friendliest, most helpful and amazing service I have ever experienced. The hotel itself is gorgeous, clean, centrally located, safe area, and close to all the major shops. Worth every penny. They had a great breakfast buffet in the lobby every morning along with all the tourist guidance you need. Thank you Olivia Balmes for making our trip so memorable! We look forward to coming back soon!.

Yelp
We stayed for 4 nights, room was very clean and super modern. Seems they just remodeled it. All hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We truly enjoyed our stay at Olivia Balmes hotel. It's perfectly located in a safe and quiet neighborhood with only a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Piazza Catalunya which is the heart of Barcelona. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the second we arrived to the hotel. The room itself was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The shower was amazing. Our room had free wifi which with a very fast speed. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar which offers great views, a lovely swimming pool, and a nice bar. I would definitely go back to this hotel on my next trip to Barcelona.
