We’ve visited this place several times and generally enjoy the atmosphere. After dinner, we visited and ordered some drinks and dessert here. While paying at the counter, the staff member asked if everything was fine. I mentioned that everything was good except for the whiskey on the rocks—it was served with small ice cubes, whereas a single large cube would have been better.
He responded, “A big ice cube costs three dollars. That’s for premium whiskey.”
I asked, “How premium? How much is it?”
“Forty-five dollars,” he said.
O, ok. I ordered 25 dollars whiskey. Funny.
When I was speaking about the quality of the product, and the experience, he chose to speak about cost. In that moment, the service felt diminished—reduced to being as “premium” as a $45 whiskey.
No good experience, won’t go anymore.
