A peaceful, unique stay on the edge of the park We spent one night at Ololo Farm and Lodge and absolutely loved the experience. It’s right on the edge of Nairobi National Park, so you get that safari feel, but with the comforts of a cozy, well-run lodge. We stayed in the Terrace Room and did the Game Package, which included meals, a game drive, and a tour of their regenerative farm. The farm visit was honestly one of the highlights—super informative and hands-on. We even got to collect fresh eggs from under the chickens and ducks! They also have a black soldier fly project that’s been recognised by the UN, which was really impressive. Ololo is run by Craig and Joanne, who moved from Australia and built something really special here. Craig’s background in regenerative farming clearly influences everything—from the way the food is grown to how the place is run. Speaking of food, everything was fresh and full of flavour. We had tilapia tacos with slaw and lime crema, made from fish raised right there on the farm, and a really good mushroom soup made with mushrooms grown onsite. There’s a kids' menu too if you're travelling with little ones. The lodge itself is calm and beautifully done, with great views and a really nice pool area. It’s close to JKIA, so you do hear some planes, but the sounds of wildlife were much more noticeable (and enjoyable!). Definitely recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, sustainable, and unique place to stay near Nairobi or a staycation.

We planned our honeymoon with Jim from Ololo and had the most amazing time. We started and ended our journey at the Ololo Lodge and Jim helped arrange two other stops for us. Everything was so easy in terms of the booking process and all the pre-arranged transportation. I was impressed by how smoothly everything ran and how familiar the staff was with our itinerary. They were always one step ahead and making sure we knew when we needed to depart etc. our first couple of days at Ololo were so amazing that we decided to extend our trip by two days. In addition to the twice daily game drives there are a lot of activities to take advantage of for kids and adults. We highly recommend Steve and Lein for the drives!||The food and wait staff were also great. The food tasted very fresh and healthy and the portions were large. Lemmy, Susan, Brian, and Emmanuel were so kind, cheerful, and attentive. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be working there which made us happy about our choice to stay at Ololo.||We started in two different room types (stable and tented cottage) and both were fantastic. There was also plenty of drinking water provided in our rooms.||If you are looking for a special place to experience Nairobi, we couldn’t recommend Ololo more.

Ololo Lodge is truly one of the most special and remarkable lodges in all of Kenya!!! This is my second time staying here and the fact that the staff members remembered me after 1.5 years, it goes to show that this place is really one of a kind! Everyone you meet here is so welcoming and friendly that it’s hard not to leave feeling like family. Of all the lodges I’ve stayed in throughout Kenya, TZ, Botswana and SA, Ololo Lodge remains my favorite and it’s the people behind it that make it so special. Plus, there is so much to do at the lodge and even nearby - there’s something for everyone whether your solo, a couple, with friends or family!

Wow. Just wow. This really was a resort disguised as a lodge and farm. The rooms were gorgeous, super clean, and welcoming. The food was unbelievable. The safari … spectacular. The guides knew the best places for us to see all the animals in the park. And I still haven’t mentioned the most incredible part. The Staff. The staff was exceptional. Over and above doesn’t describe it well enough. From the owner to the table servers to the gardeners, there was a clear sense of how can we make your experience better. Highly recommend! And it was a short ride from the airport.

Ololo Lodge is a magical place. Beautifully situated in Nairobi National Park, with all the wildlife within easy reach, yet at a safe distance. The iconic access bridge makes your arrival a real experience. The lodge itself is stunning, the buildings are magnificent, and game viewing begins right from the terrace. The friendly staff, who cater to your every need, is the icing on the cake. You simply must experience the magic of this place; highly recommended!! 💯👌🏻✨️

We recently visited Ololo Safari Lodge as part of a trip to Kenya and Tanzania. We used the lodge as base for our travels which included a safari organised by Ololo Safaris. Ololo Lodge is the perfect location for this and we felt so at home that we were sad to leave at the end of our trip after our third stay.|The lodge has a range of accomodation and we stayed in a Tented Cottage and, the amazing Tower Room with its balcony and rooftop viewing deck that was perfect for a relaxing sundowner. Both rooms were luxurious and very well appointed with the owners attention to detail surpassing that of all other lodges and camps we stayed in during our month long trip.|The highlight of our stays at Ololo were many with the wonderful staff and the amazing food being at the top of the list. The staff were incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their roles. This was in all areas and included drivers, safari guides, security, hospitality and farm workers. The relaxed but professional nature displayed by staff during our interactions with them set them apart from many other others we encountered at other lodges.|The dining experience was amazing with a range of options on a varying menu each night, including vegetarian. Diet preferences are enquired about during booking or on arrival and are well accomodated. We did not encounter any dining that was of as high a standard during the rest of our whole trip in Africa over a whole month. The majority of the ingredients are sourced directly from the Ololo Farm and are of the highest quality.|The other main highlight of Ololo is its location on the edge of the Nairobi National Park which contains for the big five but not elephants. The game drives provided as an inclusion at Ololo were amazing given its lacation on the edge of Nairobi City. The ease with which we could see Rhinos was better than any other location in the several African countries we have visited to date.|We hope we can return to Ololo in the future and enjoy all that this lodge has to offer.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Ololo Safari Lodge. Ololo is a very special lodge owned by the Chapman family located on the edge of the Nairobi National Park. The family and staff made us feel very welcome. It was wonderful to see so many family groups using Ololo. The farm that provides much of the food to the kitchen was a hit with the children. The accommodation facilities provided for a very comfortable stay. The food from the kitchen was delicious with a full range of dietary options. The game drives were astounding especially with our personal guide Washington. Our stay was the final leg in a 30 day trip through Kenya and Tanzania which was managed by their son Jim. |I recommend Ololo as a destination in Kenya if it is your first or your hundredth trip.

We arrived at Ololo Safari Lodge for a 2 night stay before flying home. |From the minutes we met our transfer driver at at Wilson Airport until be were dropped at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport the welcome couldn't have been warmer but we'd like to say at special thank you to Susan. She couldn't have done any more to make us feel welcomed and at home; her smile is infectious and she even helped us with species identification during breakfast and lunch. A real credit to Ololo.
