The staff and accommodations at Ololo are beyond 5 STARS!! The lodge is so welcoming and community focused, we really felt a part of the family by the time we left. The food was delicious and the rooms were cozy and comfortable. Our server, James, was top tier - but that was to be expected based on how amazing the whole staff was. Our safari guide, Steve, was a consummate professional and had AMAZING eyes. He got us sightings of all the animals we were hoping for and he is such a joy to be with on the game drives. 10/10 would recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ololo Lodge. While the morning and afternoon game drives are great, it’s the Lodge that makes it truly special. Rooms are very comfortable and stylish (loved the interior design of the whole place), the food is delicious and comes from the attached organic farm (ask for a farm tour), and the staff are just lovely. Ololo Safaris organised our whole trip to the Masai Mara and Lamu and all travel, activities and accommodation along the way was fantastic. Highly recommend talking to Ololo to arrange your African adventure.

I had a weekend at the end of a work trip and I booked two nights at Ololo. The grounds are stunning, the accommodations plush, the food impeccable. I had 4 game drives with guide Washington and he was incredibly knowledgeable and delighted to share information. My group and I enjoyed him tremendously. I was surprised and delighted to see such a large assortment of animals so close to the city -- hippos, rhinos, giraffes, zebras and even LIONS. It was a magical stay and I recommend it highly.

We had a fantastic time on our visit to Ololo Lodge at the beginning of December. The lodge is in a brilliant setting at the edge of Nairobi NP with great views out into the park.||Game drives in the park are excellent, with so many animal sightings. Our guide was really knowledgeable and brilliant at making sure we had the best experience.||The food at Ololo is absolutely amazing with the freshest ingredients. It was great to see a vegetarian dish available for each meal as someone who often prefers this option. They were also kind enough to make a cake for my husbands 60th birthday.||What really makes Ololo special though are all the people that work there. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful and what meant the most to us was how brilliant they were at going above and beyond to look after my 91 year old mother in law.

Coming to this lodge felt like coming home, the people are so warm and loving. Our guide was very competent, and we learnt a lot from him. All about this place felt like being welcomed to a family||The view, the lodge and their farm is amazing, and I have been served the most superb food here. If I come around nairobi again I will most definitely come back to this place.

We arrived at Ololo Lodge at 9am and we were straight away invited to have breakfast. Many places I know would not treat you like a family member in this way, but Ololo does. Understated but to a very high standard.||I cook a lot at home, and the one thing I look forward to in restaurants is fresh preparation from scratch. Ololo’s food is wonderful in this regard, and not only the cooking, but the fact that many of the principal ingredients come from their own farm. ||The staff are charming, the big five obliging and we have so loved our stay for a few days at Ololo.

My wife and I stayed at Ololo Safari Lodge for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible. The cottages were beautiful, cozy, and perfect for a couple. Our server, Gems, was amazing — he always made sure we had everything we needed at all times of the day. The food was outstanding and so fresh, with everything grown right on their own farm. All the staff were wonderful, and even the owner took the time to talk with us — such a genuine guy (and his dog Fred was a favorite around the lodge!). We also had a personal driver, Soi, who was fantastic — friendly, helpful, and made sure we were always safe and taken care of. The lodge itself is stunning, surrounded by wildlife. We had monkeys hanging out on our porch and could enjoy breakfast while watching animals walk by. Truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed — Ololo Safari Lodge is a must-visit!

Ololo Safari Lodge is one of those rare places that becomes part of your life. I’ve been coming here for many years, originally on the recommendation of close friends. Before moving to Nairobi, we would always try to stay at Ololo to extend a business trip or sneak in an extra day or two of holiday. Its proximity to the airport makes it unbelievably convenient—but convenience is honestly the least of its charms.|Now that we’re resident in Nairobi, we come as often as we can. A perfect day in the park usually ends with lunch at Ololo: beautiful food, a calm and effortless vibe, and those sweeping views that make you slow down and breathe. The staff are consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—there’s a familiarity to the service that feels like coming home.|One of my absolute favourite things is the coffee. The family who own Ololo have created a social venture where the proceeds fund education in Kibera, Africa’s second-largest informal settlement. Even if that weren’t motivation enough to stock up, it also happens to be the most delicious coffee I’ve ever tasted. If you’re anywhere near Ololo, do yourself a favour and buy a bag (or three).|Beautiful location, thoughtful people, great food, and a place that gives back—Ololo is truly special. Highly recommend.
