I have visited this 100 year old restaurant several times. But this time, it was turned out to be a total disaster. Most of the dishes were uniformly bland, devoid of salt or any flavour. Stick to the breakfast schedule if you are visiting this restaurant. Otherwise simply avoid.

The upper deck is an AC room and is quite spacious. The food is simply fantastic. I've visited the place multiple times at this point. The chicken masala fry and fish fry are amazing, to say the least. Biryani or Biryani Rice with some chicken gravy and a fry item will leave your taste buds wanting more. Sadly, the stomach has its capacity 😅

A friend took me to this place for breakfast. Lively place, quick service. Tried mutton kheema, mutton harira (greenish mutton gravy prepared with palak) and omlet. Kheema is cooked with coriander, onion, peas so it looks green. The portion size of kheema is too small to eat with 2 chapattis which was little disappointing. Palak mutton was ok. I wanted to try other dishes but they had limited options early in the morning. I'll have to try other dishes to give justice to this place. Will definitely visit again! Plz note that this place is cash only!

*Olympia Coffee House: A Timeless Legacy* Rating: 3.5/5 Located in the heart of Mumbai, Olympia Coffee House has been a culinary institution since 1918. Founded by Syed Mohammed Merab, an Irani businessman, this iconic eatery has been run by the same families for generations. *A Taste of Tradition* On my recent visit, I ordered the Mutton Magaj Gurda Fry and Chicken Seekh Biryani. The dishes did not disappoint. The mutton fry was tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, while the biryani was aromatic, with succulent chicken and a delightful balance of spices. Although statutory warning for those Lucknow and Kolkata biryani fans, this Irani biryani is a whole lot different despite having the name biryani, it has a sour and spicy taste which might not relate to the biryani you know or love. *Service and Ambiance* The service was warm and attentive, reflecting the family-run establishment's personal touch. The ambiance, though nostalgic, could benefit from a refresh to attract newer patrons. *Legacy Lives On* Idris Choudhary and Ilyas Saji, sons of the original stakeholders, continue to uphold the Olympia legacy. Their dedication to traditional recipes and quality ingredients ensures an authentic experience. *Recommendation* Must-try dishes: Mutton Magaj Gurda Fry( a piece of utopia served on a plate) and Chicken Seekh Biryani or Mutton Biryani. *Verdict* Olympia Coffee House remains a must-visit for its rich history, mouthwatering cuisine, and nostalgic charm. Experience the timeless flavors of Mumbai's culinary heritage.

Visited Olympia early morning that too before 8 and it was full, we got seat as we were early and it was full may be because of Sunday but who get up early on Sunday and go to restaurant. Nevertheless we had keema with bread and it was good, also half fry sunny and toasted on both side with tea and coffee, food was amazing, service was quick and price super 👌. I give 100 out of 100 to Olympia only problem is carrying cash but they take UPI as well on request.

Rating - 9/10 TASTE - "We ordered chicken biryani and paneer rice, and they were both very tasty. They weren’t too spicy or heavy; in fact, they were light and simple in taste, not overly filled with masalas. It was very comforting and felt like real food to me. This place is mostly famous for its chicken biryani, but it’s also good for vegetarians because I had paneer tikka, and it was really delicious. I felt satisfied and full. Then we ordered a few drinks, and all of them were very nice. They served us chutney with onions, and that was actually my favorite. I loved it. This place is a must-visit if you’re thinking of going." AMBIENCE- The ambience is also good. The seating area was fine, with a vintage and old-fashioned charm. It was quite clean, and the service was very fast. It was a good experience, and the staff were very helpful. It’s perfect for family lunches." Hygiene - It was also quite hygienic because I didn’t find anything that seemed unhygienic. I didn’t use the washroom, so I can’t comment on that, but everything was clean when I entered, and everything was served perfectly.

First stop of the day for breakfast was the legendary Olympia Coffee House & Stores, a space operating since 1918. I sat down requesting a menu at a community table, and placed my order of butter bun, with some mutton kheema and pav maska and a bread slice. My order arrived swiftly and wonderfully flavoursome kheema was something that I indulged with the sliced and buttered pav and also the soft bread. The kheema was a fantastic, beautiful meaty flavour with green peas, and a hint of green chillies, it was a flavour bomb, and not too spicy for my liking, in a good way. They do have a spicy keema version, if you prefer one, but all are served with some fresh green chillies, lemon and pepper if you like to add some more spice to your life or the dish. I ordered a coffee, which was decent, but nothing beats a good filter coffee though. The staff were extremely friendly and very courteous, I paid the bill and left and just then I realised that I missed having their signature caramel custard, and mawa cake. so I had to rush back and ask for one, thankfully the custard was available, while the cake wasn't. The caramel custard was nicely bitter on top with a sweet creamy pudding to balance, it was pure decadence, and now I understand why the custard here is legendary, a must try. Olympia comes highly recommended for the fantastic food, the courteous service, and a fair bit of nostalgia.
