11 Things to Do in Koreatown, Los Angeles: The Neighborhood Guide | Condé Nast Traveler

"If you're into experiencing onsens or ritual spas when you travel, this women-only Korean spa in the heart of L.A. will be ideal for you. While it's far from fancy, the no-frills facility offers some of the best scrubs in town. Like many K-spas, there are plenty of treatment areas, including hot and cold baths, saunas, and relaxation rooms; there's also tasty Korean food and fresh juices that you can enjoy in their cafe post-treatment." - Krista Simmons

Been to several spas big and small always looking for comfort and new services Olympic checks the mark. Loved the ice sauna, snack bar, and shower area all very nice. Didn't like that massage services are in the same general area as hot tubs so not as quiet or private but no deal breakers. The staff was nice and all facilities were clean.

Best experience from beginning to end. This was a Christmas present in 2024. This Korean Spa is for women only. You are greeted with a valet to park your car, the cost is $3.00. You register, then they give you a quick tour. You will get a “watch” to open and lock your locker and appropriate size slippers. In the spa area, everyone is naked, getting in an out of the pools. The pools are small with a capacity for 4-6 people. There is a cold pool, a sea water and another hot like a jacuzzi. Then, there are the different saunas, the herbal one, hot stone and cold room. Immediately next to this is the area for the treatments and showers. Walking around, people wear robes the spa provide. You can bring snacks or order in and eat in the patio. They provide light snacks, hot drinks like tea and flavored water. I had the Goddess treatment. It lasted about 75 minutes. You lay down on a massage table like surface. A woman scrubs and rubs your entire body with extreme force, then rinses with water by throwing it at you, applies creams and oils, you rinse in the shower, return, scrubs some more, washes your hair and it ends with a magical face mask that leaves your face smooth and super clear. They also have individual massage rooms and a warm floor where you can lay down to take a nap. I believe you can stay in the spa for as long as you want. They provide some toiletries, but you can bring your own too.

Google
Olympic Spa is a high quality, high standard Korean spa. From checking in to services they have strict protocols which made me feel safe. Staff are kind and nice. 🤍 Scrubbing, massages, facials are exemplary. For scrubbing, I recommend Goddess, Milk and Honey Smoothie, Pure Bliss or KPOP but if I just want the scub I love the Glass Skin Akasuri. For Massage, I like the Fusion and for facial I love Deep Sea Firming Facial, Gua Sha, Brightening and most of all BUCCAL!!! Once you try Olympic Spa, you will definitely keep coming back!!!!!! Enjoyed every moment, every service always!!! Highly recommend this place! It's definitely worth it!

I’ve been here 3-4 times and have loved every other experience. This time around, I felt the price was not worth the low quality environment. This K Spa is 2x the price of every other one in the area, and while it does offer some nice extras like snacks, the ambiance has lost all quality. The staff does not properly educate guests on spa etiquette or enforce it, resulting in disgusting habits. I watched a bunch of people get into the shared tubs without showering first, wearing their outdoor shoes inside the wet room, and wearing their spa slippers inside the pools. I watched one woman put her feet/shoes all over the bar that guides guests into the pool. I watched another eat snacks inside of the red oxygen room. The guests are noisy, and have 0 consideration for the fact that the wet room is made of tile so the acoustics make everything extra loud. When I told staff about this, they had nothing to say except ‘sorry’. Why would anyone spend twice the price on an experience that is lower quality than the KSpa that’s 100ft down the road and has more spa-tivities? Overall, I’m disappointed and will not be coming back. This used to be the best KSpa, now is the most over priced.

Google
This is honestly one of the best experiences of my life. It is the cleanest most organized spa that I’ve ever been to. The technicians are wonderful and I always find myself fully present and relaxed. 100% get the bliss… Don’t miss out on the reflexology and if you’re really looking to relax the facial is the way to go.

I have been meaning to come here for years and not sure why I never made it. I think it is because I am used to traditional spas and was turned off once by another Korean spa. The place is clean which and the parking feels safe which are the most important things for me. I had a private room massage and the therapist was very nice and did a good job. The only criticism, is that I paid for CBD oil (an add on) and occasionally the massage felt a bit dry which can actually feel uncomfortable at times but this was only for a short time and she was very open for feedback. The one suggestion I would give is to give new clients or have signs with etiquette rules. Unfortunately some things that seem like common sense to some are not at all for others. A woman was blowing her nose in the steam room into the washcloths the spa provides. There are many treatment rooms and you could easily enjoy an entire day here for sure. If they bring back the restaurant that would be a huge bonus! Right now they provide a variety of snacks, coffee, tea and of course water.

Google
My girlfriend and I treated ourselves to the goddess treatment yesterday and I cannot think of anything they need to improve. We were there for a total of three hours, having arrived an hour before treatment to prepare our minds, nervous system, and bodies to make the most of the treatment. The goddess starts off with a thorough scrub, then oil massage head to toe including hair and scalp treatment, completed with extra moisturizing on your face.

Google
What a fantastic and relaxing experience at Olympic Spa in Koreatown! Everything was clean, professional and peaceful. Absolutely loved the five hours I spent here, which came out to about $12 per hour. The red clay sauna, cold plunge and hot tub were amazing. Highly recommend booking the Mini Scrub service with Yu! Spending an afternoon at Olympic Spa is an awesome shared experience with a sister, mom or close friend. Pro Tips: - Bring $3 cash for parking valet. Easy parking lot in the back. - If you're going to order food, check what's nearby on Google Maps before you get delivery! We ordered from their recommended Natalee Thai, but it took more than an hour to arrive. - There is complimentary infused fruit beverages, snacks, coffee and tea.

Yelp
One of the best massages I've had in LA. And that's saying a lot, because I'm a serious massage lover. The salt sauna is incredibly calming - like a form of meditation. The scent in the room is so pure and natural, it's hard to put into words. I just wish it were possible to capture a scent or a feeling in a photo. I went with my mom, and it was such a beautiful experience to share together - perfect for a Mother's Day treat or just a relaxing mother-daughter day out. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I called ahead to see if they would discriminate against my wife because she is trans. Woefully, I was told that my wife would only be welcome in this space if she had a F on her drivers license and a sex change. I do not intend to recommend this spa to anyone I know. It is obviously not safe for gay and trans people, period. They policed my wife's anatomy from the outset so it definitely is cisgender only.

Yelp
Love this Gem. Always a great experience. Great Scrubs and Massages! Love to nude sunbathe!

Yelp
I had a half day to kill in LA before flying back home to SF so I figured I'd try out one of the Korean spas! I've been to Korean spas in Korea but never in the US but have heard lots of good reviews about the ones in LA. I chose this location as it seemed small enough that I could check out the whole spa in the time that I had and also liked that it was women only. I booked the Glass Skin Akasuri because you obviously have to get scrubbed down if you're going to a Korean spa!!! I entered the spa quite a bit before my appointment to check out all the amenities including the sauna, steam room, salt room, lounges, veranda, and the various pools. The hot pools were amazing because they were SO HOT. American spas do not make them that hot LOL but the Korean ones are so much hotter it was amazing. Loved alternating that with the cold plunge and ice room. The salt room was also great for a little nap. They also had cold towels and cucumbers and beverages all over the spa as well. They ask that you sit in one of the hot tubs for about 10min before your scrub to prep the skin. The scrub was amazing! Typical Korean style scrub where ajumas are scrubbing you down, pouring water on you, telling you when to turn and move your arms/legs. Chaotic but in the best way possible! Skin felt baby soft afterwards! Took a shower, used the lounge to get ready afterwards, and then headed to LAX to go home!

Yelp
This was my first time at a spa! Newby here but loved every minute of it. My daughter selected this for my birthday gift, it was a special treat from her which I appreciate. We each got a deep tissue massage, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I was amazed and wowed! This is a Korean spa with lovely Korean ladies who pamper you completely head to toe. My skin feels great, my entire body feels relaxed and I feel wonderful and soft. I did try the various spas, they had so many to choose from. One of my favorite was the ice spa. But there were many, the relaxation room was great too. They do offer lots of spa packages, facials and treatments. I will come back to try one of the scrubs and a facial next time. Highly recommend! Valet parking offered Lastly, there is water, coffee, tea and snacks offered. Wonderful experience for sure!

Yelp
This place was so clean and had all the amenities you would want. What I loved the most is they had dividers which made the scrub a little more private than at other places. I will definitely come back.

Yelp
Not sure why there's so many bad reviews about this place. I find it funny that people are complaining about the 20% tip when this spa is literally located in LA, what do you expect? Also, the staff here are also very hardworking and deserve it 100%! I booked the pure bliss treatment not having an idea of what I was getting myself into, since I've never been to a korean spa nevertheless a nude one! Although I've heard nothing but positive feedback so that's why I still gave it a try. The place itself is very nice and spacious. I had an appointment first thing in the morning on saturday but the place gets pretty packed! If you prefer less crowds it's probably best to go during the weekday at off hours. For the pure bliss treatment, you first start off by taking a shower. Remember to tie up your hair! I didn't know until a staff member told me after it had gotten wet. After that you need to either go in the sauna or hot tub for 15 mins. Try not to go over 15 mins unless you can handle it! I stayed a little after 15 mins and started to feel nauseous and light headed. There are many water stations for you to access to stay hydrated as well. After that one of the staff members will call your number and begin the treatment. It's a bit awkward at first since being nude around strangers isn't really a thing for me, but there's some privacy walls in the area where they scrub you down. She first scrubs my whole body to get all the dead skin off. After that they use body wash and ask that you use the shower again to wash off your body. Once that's finished, you come back and get your body oiled accompanied by a massage. A face mask is also included with a head wash (shampoo/conditioner). After she was done, she wrapped up my hair and body into a towel and I was ready to enjoy the rest of the amenities. There are many rooms here such as the salt room, ice room, sauna and so much more. For those worried about being nude; you only have to be nude in the treatment rooms/ hot tub. You are able to walk around the whole spa with a robe on. However some people did walk around the whole spa nude (which is ok too, whatever you're comfortable with). Also, it's not like you're the ONLY one nude, everyone else is there for the same reason so just let loose and relax! Overall I loved it, I had a great experience. I honestly thought I wasn't going to like it but I can't wait to come back! My skin felt so soft and squeaky clean afterwards. There's also an area where you can blow dry your hair and get ready for your day. This was perfect since I was going out for some tea time afterwards with some friends. Just remember to bring your makeup/ other necessities as they only provide minimal toiletries.

Yelp
This place was not for me. The service was not great and neither was the massage. They mistakenly called me back for a second service and came in the middle of it to say they made a mistake. I didn't know what was booked because it was a gift. No real apology. Super tacky.

Yelp
Awesome birthday celebration with my daughter and a friend of mine. I can't wait to go again.

Yelp
Service was excellent quick and prompt. This place is so calm, clean - so relaxing . I loved it so much I rebooked myself, wife and cousin.

Angela G.

Yelp
I love this place!! So clean and the services are amazing the goddess is my favorite i highly recommend it

Jessee F.

Yelp
Clean, peaceful, women only spa with all the sauna/steam/pool options you need. Also my masseuse, Julie, put her whole body into releasing the unforgiving knots in my shoulders. She seemed to know exactly where to press and attack to chip away at them. Literally went from hard rock knots to kneaded bread. I think if I went back to her once a month I'd be a new person-- unfortunately that would get a little expensive for me but if you can afford it, do it. Only downside is unlike other korean spas there is no restaurant, though I was told by a regular that you can order delivery from nearby restaurants at the front desk.

Yelp
I was referred by a friend, who has been to many Korean spas around the world. I booked the Goddess Treatment. I had no idea of what to expect so I read a lot of reviews and got to know spa etiquette. The whole experience was phenomenal. You enter and are given a brief introduction. You are given a key fob with a locker, robe and slippers. I arrived an hour early, even though 15 minutes early to soak is all that's required to soak and soften before your scrub. I suggest going early and enjoying all of the amenities. I happily went between the different pools, steams and saunas. The treatment was amazing. After stripping down and soaking to soften your skin, a staff member will call your number (from your key fob), take you back and begin your scrub treatment. You are told to lay on a table and drenched with warm water and the scrubbed from head to toe. It's not at all uncomfortable, like I'd read on a few reviews. After your body is scrubbed, you are oiled, massaged (this was one of the best massages I've ever had) and given several other treatments, including a wonderful hair treatment. The whole process was phenomenal. A few things to know beforehand: - leave your insecurities at the door. Although you're given a robe, everyone is naked in the spa area. No swimsuits allowed. No one is looking at you and it's very freeing to be naked in a safe place. -bring a water bottle. Infused water is provided and this is very dehydrating work. -be prepared for your practitioner to scrub and massage every inch of you. If You aren't comfortable with your butt and boobs rubbed down, don't come, but it is very professional and you get over your shyness really fast. -this is a serene place. Leave your phone behind. I can't give this place and experience enough praise. I will be back! The staff is also incredibly wonderful.
google avatar

Nichole K.

Yelp
My friend and I had a great time. Facilities are clean and well stocked. The person who conducted the services was impressive. 80 minutes of practically nonstop movement. I wish some people were quieter during their visit. I think staff did their best to encourage them to be quiet, short of kicking them out.
google avatar

Jamilee A.

Yelp
L-O-L at customers complaining that for leaving a 20% tip for a lady who is literally scrubbing and bathing them for damn near two hours??????! LIKE GET OVER YOURSELF! Don't come here if you can't afford it, point blank period. That is so disrespectful to think they don't deserve 20% of your service price. I've been coming here for 7 years and going to Korean spas for over 10 years. Out of all the the Korean spas I've been to in LA and OC, Olympic Spa is by far my favorite, literally a piece of paradise in the middle of Los Angeles. The quality of their services are top notch and well worth the money. I love the post-pandemic remodel! The outdoor space is so cute and serene. 10/10 will forever recommend. My favorite services are-- Milk & Honey or Goddess treatment!

Yelp
I have been going to Olympic Spa for some time and it's better after their reopening after Covid service is always great and when you live you feel fabulous l have taken my sister there for a couple of her birthday in the past and this year she took me it was awesome

Tiger S.

Yelp
I love Olympic Spa, and I am truly heartbroken to leave this review, but they cannot be trusted. In January, while visiting the spa, their valet driver hit my vehicle and tore my bumper off. He backed straight into me, he was driving recklessly in the parking lot, and was not looking where he was going. The valet was unable to produce a driver's license on site, and in the (almost 2 months) since the accident, has still been unable to produce one, leading me to believe that the valet company (Majestic Parking) hired an unlicensed driver. Representatives from the valet company have been similarly unable to produce an accident report, leading me to believe that the valet company itself is uninsured. Since the accident, the company's manager has made false promises about paying to have my car fixed, bullied me, threatened me, attempted to intimidate me, and is now evading my insurance agency. I have continually reached out to Olympic Spa for any support in this matter, and they have been equally unresponsive. I call and email, and I am told the manager will reach out to me, but she never does. This leads me to believe that Olympic Spa has knowingly hired an uninsured valet company in order to cut costs, and wants to keep it quiet. Again, I am so sad to be unable to give Olympic Spa my business. But I just cannot trust them with my safety or belongings now that this has happened, and would caution others against doing so.

Yelp
Love love love this place with the pools, dry and wet saunas, salt and charcoal rooms. Can't beat getting your skin scrubbed to the nub. The restaurant is decent. Prices too.
google avatar

Kim G.

Yelp
We did a girls afternoon at this Korean spa and it did not disappoint!! The spa was clean and the rooms well kept. Since Covid they have made some changes and no longer serve food. You can order and have it delivered to the front desk and go to their sitting area to eat!! The staff were great and going in the late afternoon was less crowded! Would come back again. No photos taken as this is a nude spa for women only
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
I had the full body scrub and if you are not bashful it is worth going 3-6 times a year to shed dead skin cells. My skin looks 15 years younger. Very nice and clean. Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Ani C.

Yelp
Worst customer service and prices !!! They are so ignorant and careless. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go.
google avatar

Rox ..

Yelp
It is calm, awesome body scrubs and my favorite the mug root pool and the cold plunge. It truly has so much at an affordable price. Most spas just keep raising prices making it hard to budget in.
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
I used to LOVE this place. It was by far my favorite spa in LA. They have completely changed since COVID and I do not plan on returning. First off the prices have gone way up. It's $60 just to enter. If it was the same spa I went to in 2019 I would happily pay that but now it's totally different so the price just adds insult to injury. It's also become weirdly corporate. We went for my friends birthday and they wouldn't let us in saying we had to book online and we had to book an hour ahead of time. So instead of just being decent and letting us in we literally had to go book appointments on our phone and then sit in our cars for an hour while we waited for our appointment. The got rid of all the things that made this place special and unique... not more mugwort baths. And they got rid of the wonderful restaurant. Now there is just this sad outdoor area with Astro turf. Plus it seems they chlorinated the pool. I didn't get a service so I cannot speak to the quality but the prices are outrageous. An hour massage is 4xs what I pay at my local massage place. It's like 4 Seasons Hotel Spa prices. Anyways sad to see one of my favorite LA institutions ruined. Will not return.

Heavyn K.

Yelp
This is the best self care I've ever done in my life. It's so clean, I felt fresh, Taken care of, vulnerable & so happy. My body is smoother then it's ever been & I feel like a new woman. It's all woman's spa, I was comfortable naked lol & all of everyone was so friendly!

Meagan P.

Yelp
I had to cancel my appointment on principle. They now charge for valet parking. I parked my own car and they wanted me to pay 3$ anyway. I did not have my car key for the man to park my car and I don't understand why everyone has to do valet. I already was going to pay 220$ to be at the spa and receive services. While it's 3$, it's the principal. If I'm parking my car I should not have to pay for valet. I'm paying for something I'm not receiving. I don't understand why they don't include parking in their "service fee" which I don't even know actually goes to the masseuse. Not worth it. Go to Wii spa. Cheaper services and they charge the same price for parking. They also have a restaurant and a much larger facility. Update: for less than I would have spent at Olympic Spa I went to Wii spa and got the same services plus a pedicure and lunch for under 220$ (I used to do pure bliss at Olympic.. but is 220$ with gratuity and now they are forcing their customers to pay 3$ for valet parking even if they don't park your car...) Needless to say, Olympic spa has lost a customer and any referrals I was making to other nurses and patients...

Ashton A.

Yelp
They're charging high end spa prices now. Cheaper than 5 star hotels but come on, this place was gem because of their wet room services at an affordable price. Its still not super private or any super luxury setting just because they made some upgrades. I get it, inflation. But this was a place people that couldn't afford high end spa prices could come & relax & get something that felt luxurious. That was what was special. You didnt need to pay an arm & a leg to get a treatment & be able to unwind. It was $120, now $190. I'd get $150 maybe, but this is an extreme hike up.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
Such a lovely spa experience, always so clean and quiet and feels luxurious. They do a good job of ensuring they never get crowded or too busy so it always feels serene in each of the saunas and hot tubs. I highly recommend Hannah, she is an amazing masseuse, you can tell she really understands anatomy and every massage with her is the best massage. My favorite Korean spa in LA by far.

D G.

Yelp
Love this spa! Never had an issue. Very clean. Services are always great. My go to Spa in LA!
google avatar

Kity F.

Yelp
BUYER BEWARE! WOW. I'm appalled. This place has gone downhill like an avalanche. When I first started going here it was $30-35 for entrance to the facilities (you could optionally get a scrub or massage for more) and there was a kitchen with pretty good Korean food. NOW HOWEVER. They informed me at the desk that it's a subscription service that costs $1000 for 3MONTHS. And you're required to get a service. The cheapest one was a 25 min shoulder massage for $100 (still highway robbery). But I immediately came back for a refund when I saw they suggested DoorDash instead of having a real kitchen anymore. All other facilities have remained the exact same with no significant upgrades. I've been to KSpas in multiple states and countries and none of them have policies as egregious as this. The only thing they massage from you is money from your wallet. This is not the definition of a KSpa.
google avatar

Kathy Z.

Yelp
5 out of 5 stars for this amazing spa and the Goddess treatment! All in, an amazing 3-5 hours of bliss will run you ~$250 and it's worth every penny. There's two private parking lots. I highly recommend parking there and not on the street. This is not the best part of town. Be prepared to be nude, as this is a womens only sanctuary spa and you can't wear undergarments or swimming attire in the pool area or while getting a treatment done. Be secure and respectful. The Goddess treatment consists of a full-body scrub, several focused aromatherapy massages, oil, facial, hair scrub, and a few other things. Expect to be there for a couple of hours, and you'll need to come early to soak in the pool or sit in the sauna room beforehand. Lockers, robe, towels, slippers provided. Leave jewelry and valuables at home. Amazing place, amazing concept, and amazing people.

Baylee B.

Yelp
I went to book an appointment for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. I was directed from a Reddit thread where I was looking up quality spas in LA so I never saw their main page. When booking, they had me put in guest information including our genders. They had the option for BOTH male and female. When we arrived the valet told us it was an all women's spa. No where during the check out process or even booking did it say all women's spa. Why would you have the option to select male as a gender if you don't accept males? Such a disappointment and waste of time.

Izzy B.

Yelp
I'm just so sad this place has turned from a community space for women to retreat and recover from the stresses of life , to an exclusive, over-priced mechanism for the kind of corporate greed that is consuming every last breath of such places in America. The people who work here as as good as ever, but seriously, shame on the management for destroying a place that was part of the fabric of what made living in the area something that offered somewhere to be for hard working people. Now, almost everyone that goes there is a wealthy white woman. I am white myself, but I remember, when I started going in 1998, when it was mostly older Korean ladies and then, over the years, a nice place to be with a diverse community of women. I wish that was still what it was, not just another Beverly Hills boutique to service a faction of society that doesn't need more. I never go there anymore since the last time I went cost over $200 to just get in the door -- granted, it makes sense it would be more over time, but it use to be $15, then $25 for the day...I'd pay more than that, but it's become unreasonable.

Ren V.

Yelp
Disappointing experience :( Unfortunately, they forgot about the service I booked. When I brought this to the attention of a staff member, they were able to fit me in at a later time, but for a random downgraded service instead of what I had originally picked. Kind of disappointing for the price plus mandatory 20% tip on a service I did not get to choose. I also wish the rules were enforced more. Lots of people talking loudly, leaving behind trash, and on their phones in areas where people had no clothing. Maybe I was just here on a bad day. The staff were all very kind and the establishment was nice, but I didn't have the best experience.

Samantha L.

Yelp
A place where there is no inhibitions to worry about and you can rest, relax, and enjoy time for you. There are multiple spa areas/saunas so there is something for everyone. If it's your first time, don't be shy the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

SantaMonica G.

Yelp
Yesterday was the last time I will visit your spa. I had to ask my masseuse during a Goddess Scrub and Massage to signal the front desk it was extremely loud in jacuzzi area. She pressed the buzzer and told them. Nothing changed - it was so loud it ruined the massage. I then told her to go get the Manager. She walked thru the loud area to get to me. She did nothing. She failed at her job to ensure that I had a great relaxing massage. At the front desk when I checked out, all 3 women at the front desk said they tried and there is nothing they can do if guests are loud. I asked them "was it very loud" and all 3 said yes it was but they can do nothing to quiet them down. So it appears that your staff failed to ensure that I had a wonderful day at the spa and it will happen again and again.

Yelp
I received the gift of self-care for my birthday and wow, this place did not disappoint. First time visitor and enjoyed my time here thoroughly. The entrance is not on Olympic but through the parking lot in the back. There are at least two parking areas, but there's also free street parking if those are full. The neighborhood itself is urban, aka loud, so I wasn't sure what to expect going in as far as tranquility. Let me assure you, this is an oasis in the middle of LA! Although the lot was full, I felt like I mostly had the place to myself. There were a mix of dry (oxygen, clay, salt, relaxation, outdoor) and wet (steam, ice, tubs) rooms. I underestimated the spa's offerings and wish I had allowed for more time, although I allotted 3 hours in addition to my treatment. I'd recommend bringing music, some earbuds, and a good book to lounge around all day. There's a cafe area and they offer plenty of water, infused water and barley water to hydrate. A few snacks too. But the main event was the Goddess treatment with Han, starting with a Korean scrub as you lie nude on a table. Every part - except your face and privates (but close) - gets exposed and scrubbed. Followed by oils, then a light massage, then more oils, massage, a facial, hair treatment, more massage. Holy crap, where has this been all my life? It was a sensual and intoxicating experience. My skin was so smooth and soft. I loved it! Only gripe... the massage was more like a nice rub on the skin. I even requested for much harder pressure because I have a lot of knots, but it wasn't going to happen. Keep in mind... you are nude, and with this treatment, you will have to rinse off by walking across a common area in this state. I am a very reserved person in this respect, but I was comfortable enough to strut my stuff without worry. Other women are doing the same. And if you're still on the fence, go solo for your first time. Also I have very sensitive skin, more so on my face. If you have issues, let the front desk know. They altered my facial treatment to pure cucumber and it worked out great. As for cost, it's a great deal. I've been to a couple of day spas in the area - including Glen Ivy in Corona, and Spa le Merigot in Santa Monica. I would have paid a fortune for an almost 2 hour treatment + spa access. Highly, highly recommended!

Yelp
There have been a lot of changes to Olympic Spa since I used to go pre-pandemic. The biggest concern is that there are no longer day passes for the spa (I think they stopped that in either late 2021 or 2022) which means you must book a service or be a member. I booked a shiatsu massage and for the cost, I would rather pay the same amount and be at a fancy place like Burke Williams. The cafe is also no longer, so you can't enjoy delicious Korean food during your stay. All that being said, I had a lovely time with my friends when we went because the tubs, saunas, jade rooms are all nice. I was just unhappily surprised with the changes that decreased the value along with huge uptick in price and in the future will select other K Spas.

Yelp
This place pales in comparison to what it once was. I'm so disappointed by its current state. :( I've been coming here since 2009, and this was always one of my favorite spots in LA. You can no longer do a drop in pass here to use the tubs and saunas and instead must book a service to enter. I miss the flexibility of being able to pop in and there are many fewer people here now as a result and for such a big place to be so empty (at least on a weekday) honestly feels a little creepy. I've received many scrubs and massages here over the years but the one I had this month (Jan 2024) is the only instance where the person providing the service was rude. She got upset at me for not understanding that tapping on my head vigorously (and not using any words) was a signal to sit up. After I finally realized what she wanted, she then started using words and just kept saying "no good" to me over and over, which is really what one wants to hear when trying to have a relaxing experience! She also was upset with me because I didn't have space slippers with me, but a pair was not left in my shoe locker and I didn't realize this was now a thing there as slippers were never given out in the past. To add insult to injury, the spa now adds on a mandatory 20% gratuity (not mentioned on their website, you learn this at checkout). You can no longer order from the kitchen here, but they do have nasty cup of noodles, M&Ms and pretzels available for self service which aren't really snacks that match the price tag of the experience here. I miss the days of the old Olympic Spa. I'll be taking my business to Hugh Spa and some of the other smaller spas that still have some soul to them and don't rob you blind.

Yelp
I have to say it wasn't totally bad, but also not totally good either. I really enjoyed the pools, ice room, and salt rooms. Lots of common areas to hang out were a plus. I think it's silly that you have to book a service in order to go to this spa. I ended up booking a foot massage that was nothing to write home about. It was average at best. Plus the prices for services at this place are higher than others and they have a mandatory 20% tipping policy. I usually tip very well for great service, but I think it's less than ideal to make people pay 20% if their services are not 20% quality. It's also misleading that they no longer have a cafe. Welp. It was fun to catch up with one of my good friends, but I probably would opt for another spa next time.

Yelp
This place is a dream. Every woman should experience at least one time in their lives. Very clean. The staff is professional. It's quiet for the most part. Although they have robes, most women feel so free they're nude which wasn't uncomfortable at all. The massage was amazing!!! I will make this a bi monthly ritual for sure.

Yelp
I heard amazing things about this place and me and a friend decided to check it out, especially with the new year coming in we wanted to take some time to relax. Straight off the bat, I notice how welcoming everyone is. This is my first experience with a spa, and all I have to say is great things. If you're looking for a place to get a nice body scrub, this is the one! I got the pure bliss treatment, and I feel like that name is super fitting. The scrub is pretty intense, they do scrub pretty hard because they are after all, exfoliating your body, but after that I felt like I was in heaven. The lady doing my massage was super friendly, overall my experience here was amazing. Not to mention there are various rooms to check out, there is a iced sauna, a traditional sauna, a clay room, a cold plunge, of course a jacuzzi, and many more things. There's even a designated place to snack (they provide the snacks). 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Parking: They have two lots, free and with security. The security guard stays in lot number one and has eyes on both lots. Which I do appreciate especially in Koreatown We booked the Pure Bliss treatment. I'd recommend doing all the wet stuff like the pools beforehand because you're not allowed to do them after your treatment which I wish we knew because we didn't experience half the spot because no one told us. The Pure Bliss treatment involves official which is really just a face mask and a quick massage. It all occurs in a little station for the bath area, so your butt naked in front of the other people. Definitely like the facilities but wish they had food and for the price of $204 which includes the 20% gratuity I wish they actually did a proper facial and use one of the private massage rooms.

Yelp
I came here on 2/9 for the Goddess service. Wow! This place is so clean, organized and relaxing. The woman who did my treatment was so professional. I walked away feeling like a Goddess!

Yelp
In my history of spas, Olympic Spa is by far the "nitty gritty". I was scrubbed, massaged, and treated with grit and love at the same time. I received The Goddess, which involved a lot of everything. I'm a bit overwhelmed but in a good way. It's very clean, quiet enough, but the spas were a little over crowded. A few friends that made it a spa day which made things a bit not spa -ish, so I felt limited to the eminities. However, I left feeling(and looking)like a brand new shiny penny. Please go. You'll understand what I'm trying to say.

Yelp
So this was my second time going to a Korean spa. The first time I didn't really do anything out of fear (thanks Conan O'Brien). But I decided to go for it this time. This spa was super nice, way nicer than the first one I had been to. It was like the Burke Williams of Korean spas based on the ambiance and amenities. What I mean to say is it felt like an upscale fancy spa. Now if for some reason you haven't read any of the other reviews yet or don't know what I means to go to a Korean spa, yes you're going to have to get completely naked to use the tubs and you'll be naked for your wet room services. But you can wear your robe for the saunas, steam rooms and other rooms. I know some folks are complaining that they don't serve food here like they had in the past. But they have some pretty good snacks, particularly in the back lounge room. Cup noodles??? Done. You get maybe a piece of fruit at most at other spas. I enjoyed my experience there. If you're getting a wet room service, just be careful not to slip off the table like a wet fish when turning over.
