We ended up at Bingin Ombak because the rest of the beach was extremely crowded. We were hoping for a more relaxed spot by the sea. This place was quiet, so we gave it a try. Unfortunately, we didn’t have internet down at the beach to check reviews beforehand. Otherwise, we probably wouldn’t have stayed.
The service was a bit slow, which would have been fine, but the food was really disappointing. I ordered the vegetarian tacos but didn’t eat them: cold, soggy tortillas with tired-looking vegetables (no tomatoes, just old onions and canned mushrooms, no cheese). My partner had the burger, which he forced down just to have something in his stomach, but also removed the veggies because they looked off.
The staff did remove the tacos from the bill after I mentioned it, which we appreciated. But overall, it was a bad experience.
We also noticed that most of the recent 5-star reviews are in Indonesian and written by users with only one review in total. This strongly suggests they might be fake or paid reviews. That is exactly why I am leaving this 1-star rating: to give a more honest reflection of what this place actually is.
