Such a lovely spot! The staff was super kind and attentive, and the cozy vibe made it even better. As the name suggests, they specialize in egg dishes, but there’s plenty of variety. I had the sucuk, my friend chose a chicken dish, and both were delicious with huge portions. Prices are fair for the serving size. The fresh orange juice was great, and the music added to the nice atmosphere. A perfect place to start the day I’d definitely recommend it!

Google
A great way to start your day. A cozy wood interior that gives the place this warmth vibe to it. Food is freshly prepped, delicious, well presented, and hearty portions! Service is great, polite, not overly attentive, but spot on. Would recommend to stop in and have a filling meal!

On a rainy Sunday we walked in here as 4 friends and we were lucky enough to find a table right away. I had the chorizo omelette with mushrooms and onions, served with salad and a slice of whole grain bread & butter. The omelette was very tasty and filling. I wish they used a sourdough bread but the bread did its job as well. I loved the fact that they had fresh juices. The service was quick and good. Recommend for egg lovers!

Google
Overall, it didn’t disappoint us, but I have a few things to point out. To summarize, it didn’t feel very clean, especially the kitchen and the floors, which is an open kitchen by the way. While I was trying to take some photos, someone told me I couldn’t take pictures of the kitchen. Having an open kitchen and then telling customers not to photograph it is a big contradiction in my opinion, and a bit absurd. But of course, it’s the establishment’s rule, so I respect that. I’m not a fan of mixed omelets, so I played it safe and ordered scrambled eggs with sausages. However, plain scrambled eggs came with mushrooms in them. Considering mushrooms are highly allergenic for some people, I believe this deserves more attention.

I had to wait outside for 5 minutes in the cold because the staff said they can not let me in until my other 3 friends came. I also asked them if I can wait inside due to cold weather but they rejected due to “security reasons”…Once one of my friends arrived, we really had to convince them to have us seated by saying other friend will come in 2 mins. This whole waiting queue experience was quite annoying…Also, once we were in, service was not very fast/we had to order some things twice as a reminder. Besides that, the food is quite okay and filling, but the inside of my omelette was quite juicy (not very well cooked). Lastly, the atmosphere is nice & cozy but the poor experience with service affected our general experience in a bad way..

Excellent place to have brunch. Bear body section of the city. Very crowded around noontime. Saw a very capable chef. One guy is taking care of all orders. He took his time and did an excellent job. He's not slow. Definitely a place to stop by and grab a hearty meal.

Google
Absolutely incredible omelettes, everything I’ve had here has been perfectly cooked. Big portions and the excellent value for money, this is the only place I’ve found in Amsterdam that has American diner style build your own omelettes. Regrettably the coffee is only okay, but the coffee cups are very large! Also, the staff is very nice!

Lottie

Google
They cook the “omeleggs” at the moment so that’s why you need to wait a bit for your orders but the food was good (about the croissant, I think it’s not made by them cause it arrived already cold and not so great). The service was lovely. The restaurant has different tables and it seems clean, also toilets.

Yelp
Eggs eggsactly to perfection! Gezellig! Charming snug breakfast place with wood booths and homey style -- even wood menus. I selected the scrambilicious --. Cheesy scrambled eggs on a croissant with avocado -- they sold it exactly! I loved the soft, scrambled eggs -- and the flaky croissant. My companion had a halloumi scrambled eggs with a thick brown bread -- also eggcellent! Cards only.

Yelp
I came here to enjoy a traditional Dutch breakfast. My plate was called the Big Ben and it was hefty. The freshly squeezed OJ was the best I've had, ever. Staff had advised that their center location, serves a menu a little different in case I wanted to try them out as well. Attentive staff and fast pace service. Def recommend coming here if you want a hearty breakfast and not the sweets bakeries sell.

Kimberly M.

Yelp
This is an adorable breakfast spot that has a line out the door every morning! It's located right outside the Central Station and easy to find. Omelettes are the big attraction here. And they are BIG. They have combinations I've never seen before- just about any meat/sauce combination you can think of. We came right when they opened and were seated within 15 minutes. Our food was hot and delicious. I would probably split food next time since the portions were so large.

Rose K.

Yelp
Charming and bustling on the weekends! We were lucky enough to get a booth right away. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions (lactose intolerance) and the portions were very generous. Good chill casual vibes if you're looking for brunch with friends!

Yelp
Food 3.5/5.0 Service 3.5/5.0 Value 3.5/5.0 Decor 3.0/5.0 Overall 3.5/5.0 Decent omelettes. Decent coffee. Quiet on an early weekday morning.

Caity C.

Yelp
One of our favorite breakfast spots in De Pijp! They open early on weekdays (7am) which was really nice - most of the other restaurants in the area didn't open until 8:30/9ish. My fiance and I shared an omelet with bacon and farmer's cheese. It came with a side salad and bread and butter. We also had their croissant and jam, fresh-squeezed OJ, and mimosas. The food is pictured below. Everything was great and extremely well-priced, especially for the area. The inside was very cozy, cute, and authentically Dutch-feeling. Everything seems to be delivered fresh daily. The service was fantastic - quick and attentive! Overall, it's a great classic breakfast spot and a must-visit if traveling to Amsterdam for the first time.

Andrew T.

Yelp
Quaint place with an open kitchen to watch your food being cooked. Menu is simple with plenty of options. Quality of food was excellent, portions are good and food well seasoned and cooked. Don't add any salt until you taste first! I think the cheese they use already provides the needed salt.

Jess A.

Yelp
Super charming place with an old world feel. The mochachinos were delicious. The omelettes were massive and the accompanying side salad was great to have to break up the meal. The dressing was great as well. We had the Pastrami Avocado & Suçuk omelette. Both were packed with meat, cheese and veg. Definitely a great breakfast spot!

Joie R.

Yelp
Good place for visitors who have been on travel for a bit and looking for a traditional breakfast. They're known for their Omelettes which were made to perfection and tasty. The plates presented well and they did not overload you with tons of food or potatoes as many restaurants do. I ordered the cheese and bacon omelette and it was very good. The server was timely and attentive. The ambiance was cute and reflected a farm style decor with an open kitchen concept so you can see the chef preparing your meal.

Maggie T.

Yelp
Omelegg was a nice and cozy spot to grab brunch! I opted for the salmon omelet and it was really good. I loved how many different types of omelets they offer on their menu (it was hard to choose!) Overall a solid brunch option if you're in the neighborhood.

Devin F.

Yelp
Omelegg De Pijp is an excellent option for breakfast when visiting Amsterdam. They were one of the few breakfast places open early. Food is delicious, staff is fantastic, and interior is Dutch themed.

Annie A.

Yelp
Awesome spot for a nice breakfast or lunch. The place does get very busy. The food was made to order and the service was prompt.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Large omelettes. Good for a large breakfast to keep you full until late afternoon. Fast service. Fresh orange juice was good too.

Shirley B.

Yelp
Reduced hours so make sure you check ahead of showing up. But love eggs? Then this is the spot for you! Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Takes cards.

Todd S.

Yelp
Breakfast restaurant specializing in egg dishes. I was visiting Amsterdam and stopped in to try Omelegg. I ordered the Shakshuka which was very good, although a bit runnier than I normally like it. My girlfriend ordered an omelette with "Dutch bacon" which was unfortunately more similar to Canadian bacon than typical American bacon. The interior is somewhat small but cozy. The service was quick and friendly. Pricing was pretty reasonable. If you're in the mood for eggs, this place is worth a visit!

Vy B.

Yelp
Staff is so friendly! I was mesmerized by the decor. One of the reviews said the decor was cozy, they were 150% right. Food was also delicious and large portion, so come hungry.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Freshly squeezed orange juice was the only thing I enjoyed. The eggs were a bit overcooked and not really special. The side salad that came with the omelette contained spoiled bits of lettuce. Coffee was fair. I think the restaurant is overrated.

Tim G.

Yelp
traditional breakfast in town, this is the spot to be at. Their omelets are next level as well.

Jennifer O.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place, but I ended up thinking it was just ok. I had one of their omelettes, and it was good, but nothing super special. When we went, there wasn't a wait to sit down. If you're passing by, this isn't a bad place to get breakfast, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

Bea B.

Yelp
Be hungry, The decor is not my taste at all, the staff some eye candies, but fun, they made it worthwhile by making the last cup of their delicious apple juice for us. The point is, if you are hungry and want some gooood eggs and not care for the decor details, this is the place. Best hangover spot on Sunday morning. Before Covid there used to be long lines. If you are like me who waited for the lines to slow down to get in, do get it. Recommend!

Alison K.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning and there was a short wait for a table. We tried the Viking Fisherman omelet, the Farm Boy omelet, and the Dutchie omelet along with coffee and fresh orange juice. All of them were really good and come served with bread and salad. Definitely a great place for a simple breakfast or brunch, and they do breakfast all day.

Trina F.

Yelp
Amazing group of guys working there. My egg white omelet and oat milk cappuccino were very delightful. Cozy restaurant. Highly recommended.

Mark S.

Yelp
Probably the best omelette I have EVER had and that is saying a lot because I LOVE omelettes. It was so good the first time I came that I made sure I went again before I left Amsterdam. I had the Farm Boy omelette with extra bacon and everything about it was amazing. The ingredients taste fresh, the omelette is cooked perfectly,it's a big portion size, and it so so tasty. And their bread is to die for. If you are in the area then this is a place you must go to. I just wish they had a restaurant in America because I would literally be there every single day!

Dave W.

Yelp
Our first breakfast in Amsterdam. Good eggs, great toast. I'd eat there again. So would my wife.

Alekhya M.

Yelp
If you're in De Pijp area, don't miss Omelegg. My husband's halloumi cheese pesto Omelegg was better than mine. Usually there's always a line but we got in without a line on a Saturday. I'd call it luck! The Omeleggs come with salad and bread. Only wish they toast the bread and serve it some butter! A perfect place for a nice brunch that's also not too bad on the pocket for Amsterdam.

Caroline S.

Yelp
We found this place on Yelp and saw the good reviews. We decided to try it out! It was very delicious. Good serving sizes. We also were able to sit down immediately and were served promptly! Good experience.

Elkhyn R.

Yelp
Bottom line: Should you find yourself in Amsterdam looking for breakfast or brunch (or with just some time to kill in the morning hours), this is the first place you have to visit--best omelette I've ever had. We came to Omelegg on our last morning in Amsterdam. They don't take reservations, and there was a small crowd outside the whole morning, but the service and meal are skippy enough to ensure people cycle in and out enough to get everyone seated within a reasonable amount of time. Service: Polite and expedient, they had us in and out within 45 minutes. Food: We ordered three kinds of omelettes (the funky chicken, the pesto chicken, and the farm boy (x2)). Everyone walked away feeling incredibly satisfied. I opted for the farm boy, and boy was it delicious. There was not a single ingredient that did not taste good, and some (the sweet tomatoes, the juicy sausage, the exquisitely salty farmer's cheese) were just top-notch.

Alicia L.

Yelp
I am not really a fan of omelettes but Omelegg was actually delicious! Theres a huge square community table in the back of the restaurant and my friend and I were seated there. Although I was afraid of feeling claustrophobic or of it being a loud dining experience, the community table actually worked just fine for me. My favorite part about Omelegg was their wooden carved menu board! I'd never seen anything like it and loved it! The restaurant decorations were also really cool and gave it a very trendy, outdoors in feel. I ordered the viking fisherman which was an omelette with smoked salmon while my friend ordered the farmboy-- two options recommended to us by our server. My omelette was a great size and they gave us hot sauce and ketchup for it. I had a few bites of the farmboy and it was packed with a bit of everything in every bite from meats to veggies. We also ordered a latte and it came with the cutest little biscuit. Left here with a very happy tummy! I would definitely recommend Omelegg. It looks like theres a bit of a wait most of the time so be prepared for that!

Hugo B.

Yelp
Lovely brunch place! All sorts of of omelette. You can pick from a menu of existing mixes, or pick your own mix of ingredients. Everything is delicious and clearly fresh. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Ryan P.

Yelp
Going to Omelegg was one of my best dining decisions in Amsterdam, and it was also the first time I let Yelp direct me to a restaurant on my honeymoon, which was a great call. The place is cozy - not too huge but also big enough to have an area for groups in the back and a healthy amount of tables up front. The menu is pretty big, too, with a huge variety of omelets offered. One of the coolest parts of the place is the kitchen that's right alongside some of the tables. The staff is super hard working and you can tell they care a lot about the food they're putting out. It was great getting the chance to see so many tasty meals get made and also watching the team help each other out each step of the way was really neat too. Oh yeah - the food was pretty amazing too. I had one of the more standard options and my wife had the one with smoked salmon in it. Hers was a little salty but still good, and mine disappeared pretty quickly so I know it must have been good. The simple salad they serve with the omelets was great, too. I definitely recommend this place for couples or double dates.

Yelp
This branch of Omelegg is classed as their De Pijp store, located just a short way from the metro station, I had good hopes for this store, especially with it having great reviews, a cool name and with myself being an egg-lover. This branch is located on Ferdinand Bolstraat and is definitely the better of the Omelegg branches in the city, after an experience at the city centre branch where everything seemed to get wrong. If you're going to be coming here, it's worth being prepared for a wait, after going inside to check-in, I had a wait of around ten minutes, the staff here seemed really friendly, we even talked about City beating Arsenal. The omelette selection was great, this is mainly an omelette place so sadly I couldn't get other options such as a potato dish/fries I would have liked with it, but they did have beans to go with it, quite reasonably priced at one euro, however like most beans I've tried in The Netherlands, they had a funny and unusual taste and weren't used to what I'm used to back home in the UK. Most of the menu was reasonably priced, and then, of course, there's the Yelp offer, where you can get 10% off for checking in. I decided to order the Chorizo omelette, the omelette its-self was nice, good quality and seasoned well in the open kitchen, where you could see everything being made fresh and seasoned to order, however the biggest problem with my order was how the toppings were put in, I found there to be too many toppings to the point it become slightly messy, and with big thick lumps of meat (chorizo), I can't help but notice that chopping it finely into the omelette would make it slightly thinner, and overall tastier in every bite, rather than messier which seemed to ruin it slightly. The free wifi here was also decent, it was probably faster than my Hilton wifi at times, with the Hilton wifi sometimes at a standstill at peak times. Overall, this is the better Omelegg branch in the city, and a great place to enjoy a good breakfast, despite some drawbacks discussed, I feel this slightly above average place deserves a solid three-star rating!

Emma S.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast/brunch! Perfect omelettes, delicious fresh juice (had two cups!) and the servers are super friendly!

Othman A.

Yelp
A must for omelette lovers, always go for the farmers cheese which is added on most of the menu items

Jay L.

Yelp
Hello Salmon! Some of the best salmon I've had. Not too salty or smoky. Add the fresh bread with just the right amount of cream cheese and some dill, oh and those eggs! One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. Coffee is fresh and delicious. Starting your day here will make you happy.

Teri H.

Yelp
Impressive and large menu. Food is fresh and flavorful. The bread was thick and soft. So glad I finally stopped here! Loved every bite! Great food paired with speedy and friendly service.

Angel S.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast spot in Amsterdam. We enjoyed our omelettes, all of which were fresh and made to order. It has a charming feel with few tables and a nice assortment of egg dishes. This is probably home to the best butter soaked croissant I've ever had. The service was very much on point. I recommend this as a prime breakfast spot in your trip to Amsterdam.

Arthur G.

Yelp
Where do I even begin? This place is an incredible gem. The menu items here are so original, I had a tough time deciding which to try for the first time. I went for the Viking and it was insanely delicious! Super cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in a cabin deep in the woods. Music is perfectly on-point with rustic jazz, sort of like something you'd hear at Splash Mountain if you've ever been to Disneyland in LA. HIGHLY recommended and 100% a place I would frequent if I lived here.

Gabriela H.

Yelp
The queue is worth the wait! I stood in the rain waiting to get into this place, and the patience paid off. I had a lovely meal and never felt rushed to leave even though there was still a long line of customers in line to be seated after others left. Quality food and friendly staff. Definitely recommend!

Fate O.

Yelp
By far the BEST breakfast I've ever had in my entire life. Can I move to Amsterdam? The salmon omelette was perfectly made. Wasn't too crazy about the kale salad (a tad bit too much salt) but the omelette will make you forget about it. Five stars!

Alex S.

Yelp
I arrived around 11:40am and sat down straight away after being greeted by a kind man. I ordered a drink and a Greek Wedding omelette (with added Chorizo) and it arrived within 5 minutes. Staff were brilliant and the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place :)

Katty L.

Yelp
Great splendid breakfast choices and delicious gourmet made from seasonal fresh ingredients Definitely will go again!

Shafeena K.

Yelp
This was a really cute place to stop in and have breakfast. The decor was down to earth, the menu had great variety, and the people were friendly. It was our first stop in Amsterdam and such a warm welcome!

One S.

Yelp
Delicious and great service. Unique omelettes make a fantastic start to any ordinary day. Sit, eat, enjoy.

Kaja C.

Yelp
This place was awesome!! We stopped here for breakfast before going to the Heineken experience. I had the scrambilicious with mushrooms and my husband the Italian Job. Both were so delicious! I'd give this 5 stars, but they forgot to bring us our coffees and orange juice until after our meal arrived. We also asked for butter, but that also didn't come. The place was packed and honestly the atmosphere and food were so good that it didn't matter to us. Don't come here if you're in a huge rush. We waited for 10 minutes but by the time we left, the line was around the building!

Amanda N.

Yelp
In Amsterdam... a must try. Good service, good food, and tea! I swear I love mint tea after Amsterdam. I think I got the farm boy. It didn't disappoint! Love the location it was at & super close to my Airbnb.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
My husbands favorite food of the day is breakfasts...so when we were visiting Amsterdam I wanted to find a spot he would like. I am so happy we found this place through yelp because he said this was one of his favorite meals. I ordered my omelette with cheese but my husband costumbre made his and pretty much added everything possible. He loved his meal and I also liked mine. Service was good too!

Bradley M.

Yelp
The food was bland. The customer service was slow and non existent. Somehow they were clueless enough to ask for a tip despite doing nothing to earn it.

Lisa T.

Yelp
I was in such of a breakfast spot while in Amsterdam and this was the winner. It's a cute place with lots of omelette's to choose from and loved the open kitchen. My omelette was fluffy and filling. This a definitely a place you should go visit and very affordable!
