Attention: Check in only after 4pm 😡 Lowest quality rooms. Toilet stinks, toilet door did not close. Very thin walls. An old appartement building that was low-cost transformed to a "Hotel". I think there are better alternatives, also for that price range.

Stayed there for three nights in July 2025. For the price, it was good. Close to the city center, a small convenience store right on the other side of the street, it was perfectly suited to my needs. I had no issues with the cleanliness of the room, and the bed was comfortable enough. Only downsides I woud list is that the shower was only overhead and static, and there was no mobile one available ; as well that the YouTube app would not open nor work on the TV, but neither of those factors truly worsened my stay.

This place is terrible. Yes, it's cheap, but, in this case, you really do get what you pay for. I will start with something positive: the location is good. To be extra nice, the bed was pretty comfortable. The less good parts: customer service is so bad that I don't even know where to begin. The short version - if something goes wrong, there is a huge chance that you will be on your own and perhaps even have to pay - yes, pay - to get help. They have a customer service phone in the lobby which is free to use, but what good is that if it doesn't work (which was the case when I was there)? If you use your own phone, which I had to do three times because of different issues for a total of nearly half an hour, much of which was spent waiting and waiting, you have to pay nearly one euro per minute. When I tried to address this afterwards with their customer service people via email, the response I got was cold and unhelpful, and it seemed like the person who replied hadn't even read my mail. Folks - save yourself the hassle. There are far better, cleaner and safer (I might add - unless you enjoy competing for an elevator with a bunch of rowdy drunks) places to stay that would probably not cost that much more. Helsinki is full of hotels, even some cheap ones. This place does not deserve your business; once they have your money, the extent to which they care about you diminishes by 95%.

When I arrived at the hotel room I was very disappointed. So much that I didn’t stay the night. As I entered the external structure, the conditions and smell were indicent. In the room we found the additional bed to make broken, in awful conditions too. On the towel in the bathroom, together with dirty, some strands of hair over there. The intire room was not clean at all. It has been a lack of professionality also because the room did not match what I bought, looking on booking photos and descriptions. Adding to that, I immediately called the 24/7 number of the hotel (there is no reception) and nobody answered. I strongly reccommend you to find for other hotels as this one is in pritty bad conditions, awful smell, terrible cleaning. It will ruin your vacations for sure.

Horrible. Ceiling came loose in the middle of the night from a door closing in the hallway. Toilet filling system was leaking and dripping for hours. Had to use own tools to shut off the water to the bathroom in the middle of the night to stop the dripping. No response on the booking.com contact with hotel. White stains on wall next to bed, hair on walls in bathroom. Putrid stench in the hallway in the morning. Disgusting.

Check in was a nightmare! I never received any emails or text messages verifying the codes to enter the door. The codes operate the main door as well as your room and the elevators. Being that there is no front desk service you can call the customer service phone number for 79 cents a minute or you can gain access to the building as someone is leaving and dial from the house phone to get any kind of issues resolved. The problem then became check in time. I arrived when I told them I would be there between 11:00 and 12:00 only to find out that the rooms aren't typically available until 16:00. If I wanted to get in early, it would be an EXTRA €5/per hour early. Upon arriving to my room I realized that the queen bed that I reserved and paid for had been downgraded to two twin size beds in the process of getting me in quicker. Very very aggravated and not happy whatsoever. I will NEVER stay here again.

Omena Hotel got EVERYTHING you need: perfect location (from airport and city center), 24/7 check in, a bed, water boiler, coffee, tea, private bathroom, towels, AC, mini fridge (not stocked but to store your own items). It is not a 5 star hotel which is obvious on (lack of) services provided but you'll have all the amenities you could possibly need for a short stay and a clean room to stay in and absolutely perfect quality-price ratio.

The room is spacious and clean. A convenience store is just across the street, and the city center is only a short distance away.

Yelp
Pros: -Large building, small rooms, affordable -15 mins walk to central station -everything is through email: no check in and check our process. Entrance code is emailed to you. -Clean rooms -Clean bathroom -Heated towel racks -free wifi Cons: -Shower drain was a bit slow which made the floor a little more wet then i like it to be

Yelp
The locks to the rooms were broken, and just to get in the room it took like 30 minutes already because WE had to call theur customer service, they had to call the security guy right in front of us, and then he could let us in. Instead of offering us other rooms for the inconvenience we just had to deal with all that shit after a long and tiring travel, and now we can not get out without having to deal with this shit again.

Yelp
I stayed here for a month. The hotel is minimal. Be warned there are two Omena hotels near each other make sure you go to the right one. There is NOT conditioner provided. The blackout curtains are not the best, but they block most of the light. For European standards the rooms are big. The mini fridge does not have a freezer and is extremely small. You get a microwave and a teapot but no other ways to cook food. It isn't the best, but it isn't the worst either.

Yelp
Horrible experience at this hotel! Booked through Expedia same-day after a 30+ hours of travel. Upon arrival it was not clear where the entrance to the hotel was, only provided with a door code in confirmation email, no reception or check in desk. Room provided was absolutely disgusting. It had not been cleaned from previous guest. Dirty sheets, dirty towels all over the floor, urine on the bathroom floor, beer cans and bottles in the hallway and in the room. After informing the property we were told they had not been contacted soon enough and were "unable to help". However there was no reception area, no phones in the room and no room service available; and within minutes of entering the room a complaint was sent via the Expedia booking link and a response email was sent to me from the hotel group 12 hours later. Very disappointed and disgusted with the treatment by this company. Do not waste your money.
