This hotel is nice, rooms are cozy but do not have microwave or fridge so if you eat downstairs you will not be able to bring leftovers. The Black Swan club in the hotel was so fun, they had a DJ he was great very versatile. The staff at this hotel was very nice. You will have to ask for towels our room had 2 beds for 4 but room had enough towels for only 2 people. Overall nice hotel and the pool is immaculate it has real black SWANS in the pond next to the pool was awesome.

We always enjoy our stay at the Omni Houston! The rooms are consistently spotless and well-maintained, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The pool area is absolutely amazing—relaxing, clean, and a great place to unwind. One of the highlights of our visit was the staff at the pool bar who happily made us custom drinks that weren’t even on the menu. That kind of service really sets them apart. Highly recommend for a relaxing, upscale stay in Houston!

The good:||- Staff was great -- checking in, changing reservation details, etc. were all very easy|- Blackout curtains pretty effective at keeping light out of the bedroom (4.5/5!) but it helped that we had a suite with a bedroom separate from the main room windows|- Above-average A/C -- cooled the room effectively and no shenanigans with the thermostat changing the set point on us|- Room was adequately ventilated|- Conventional bathroom setup -- shower, tub where you'd expect (you'd be amazed how many hotels try to be "fancy" here and create an unusable but cool-looking bathroom)|- TV had an easily-accessible HDMI port|- Good workspaces|- Elevators were pretty quick||The bad:||- Toilet was a lazy flusher -- needed 3, 4, even 5 flushes to ... get everything down (to their credit the staff offered to change our room but given we only had one more night there we opted to stay put and the toilet mostly behaved)|- WiFi was reliable but slow, measuring 10 Mbps up/down|- No Ethernet in the room|- Housekeeping was lackluster -- room service tray sat outside our door for nearly 24 hours before being picked up (and only because we called about it); trash wasn't collected from the room|- Room was a little musty||The meh:||- Overall aesthetic and room decor is quite dated, but the lobby is beautiful|- Bed was fine; pillows were rather soft|- Breakfast and room service were fine, nothing to write home about|- Parking was about standard for Texas

I love Omni hotels but this hotel needs a remodel. I booked in an executive suite and everything was fine but immediately upon entering the room I could here the Air conditioner running full but the room didn't seem cool. Upon first glance the room seemed dingy and used. Decor was fresh from 1996. I had to take a shower to get ready for a business engagement and immediately noticed how nasty the shower seemed with mold and cracking caulk and grout.(Pictures included). After a long night of no air conditioning I went to the front desk and the gentleman said they didn't have any more executive suites available but the hotel was almost empty. I told him I would not sweat out another night in that room so he can figure something out. Amazingly another suite became available... Upon checking into the second room it was a near mirror of the previous room but the air conditioning did seem a bit cooler. At least bareable.. Staff was mostly very hospitable other than the guy that had to find me a new room. I did enjoy their pool but the tower next door does hide the evening sun. Overall this hotel Needs A Makeover sooner than later. I give it three stars for the staff that are trained and hospitable. Hotel itself is a two star hotel at the most

From the moment we arrived at the Omni starting with the valet and bell hop teams, we were treated with superb attention. Check in was smooth and personable and our rooms were wonderful. The entire Guest Services team upon arrival and during our time there were pleasant and super responsive to our needs. Everyone we encountered greeted us with smiles and a welcoming spirit. At the coffee bar and cocktail bars, we felt like celebrities. I slept peacefully during my 3-night stay and looked forward to the complimentary coffee and goodies that were provided in the lobby each morning during the Memorial Day weekend. We missed out on pool time so we'll have to go back and relax at the very inviting pool.

At a chain hotel, memorable staff are rare, but Ms. Melanie stood out!! I was worried I’d forgotten her name and searched for confirmation. On a July 4th holiday, I encountered technical issues in my room. When I called, she was patient, kind, and eager to help!! Even if she couldn’t resolve my problem, I sensed her genuine desire to go above and beyond, which is all a customer can ask for. However, she quickly solved my issue with the assistance of Mauro, Engineer.|As a customer, I’m quick to bring forward complaints, but staff deserves recognition for their exceptional service. Thank you, Melanie, for saving my night with your quick thinking! Management, this is precisely the kind of service we want! ||Let me clarify, this hotel offers wonderful service from check-in with Raquel and the bellman Alex to the valet representatives (Kaylan at the pool check-in) and the dedicated server TY…a young woman who works tirelessly in the Texas heat with the most upbeat attitude). The hotel far exceeded my expectations, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Houston!!

Wonderful staff and hotel. It was exceptionally clean, and the rooms were very comfortable and a great size. The shuttle was a plus to get back-and-forth from shopping. Also, they serve free amenities in the lobby every evening, which was fantastic upon arrival in the evening. Fresh cold water, champagne, pretzels, and lemonade, etc. It was a pleasant day and I look forward to returning to stay there for future Many vacations

Jennifer was the best bar tender you guys have. She was attentive, made our drinks correctly, and was basically running around to make sure our entire team was taken care of. We had about 30ish employees show up at the same time near closing so Jennifer had her work cut out for her. Next time we’re at the Omni I hope she’s going to be the one helping us!

Yelp
I truly enjoyed the redfish at the Cafe. The presentation was the perfect welcome to a well-seasoned fish fillet paired with pickled veggies and stone-ground grits. On their own, I would have found the grits quite bland, but it was lovely together with the fish and vegetables. The light sauce was a nice compliment for the fish without competing for the spotlight. The cafe was perfect for dinner. The ambiance was elevated, and the prices were reasonable for a company travel dinner. The staff were professional and polished, which tends to match the Omni's operations. Overall, it was a nice evening experience.

Yelp
I had an opportunity to come stay at Omni Hotel for one night a week ago. Staying at a luxury hotel was my restful day after a hectic travel weekend. Getting here was not a big deal since I live in town. But driving around during weekday commute hours was no fun. Check-in process was fairly simple. They held $100 from my credit card for incidental cost, which I charged $9.95 for the WIFI service on one device, only. Speaking of technology, there is no USB charging at the desk's power strip. Hotel is luxury but amenities were lacking. I brought my own phone charger. So, it was not a big deal either. The building is fairly solid and rooms are sound proof. I couldn't hear anyone walking or using water. The rooms are on both sides of building, one facing the pool and one facing the city. My room had a pool view on a high floor. I could see the sunset, which was nice. My room was equipped with Keurig coffee machine with few coffee cups. I brought my own tea bags and I was happy. I didn't get to use the resort-style swimming pool and the 24-hour fitness center. Because I was there to unwind. I wish I stayed during weekend because there are more activities at Black Swan Night Club, Mokara Spa and Moonshot Waterside Lounge. The self-parking fee is covered during my stay. Just use the key card to enter and exit the garage. There was a drop box for me to drop off the card after I checked out. I like the minimum human interaction. p.s. I uploaded over 40 photos at https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/omni-houston-hotel-houston-2?userid=jwPVqdHpVHCBfAe4pZBbgA

Yelp
I love this place! Definitely changed after the hurricane but i think the renovations are nice. They have a nice large pool to relax by and the poolside drinks are good! i like the bar that's there it's a little small but have enjoyed drinking there . Price wise not too bad. The room was comfortable and you get free water with your room. It's close by restaurants too and walking trails which is nice!

Yelp
We recently stayed here after the hurricane. Great place and staff was amazing. Our room was clean and service was top notch.

Yelp
Disclaimer up front: I stayed here with my wife for a conference she was attending, and largely spend my time working from the room or the lobby, so this review will focus mainly on the common spaces, room, parking etc. We didn't dine in the hotel, aside from some sundries at Birdie's Cafe and Bar. The property is located in the back of an office complex, accessed by a winding road. The arrival/valet area is a fairly good size, and easily accessible. The parking situation is a multi-level garage with card access via room key, or can be paid by time via a ticket. There's ample accessible parking on the first level. It's a bit of a hike, but one can take luggage carts to and from the lot, as I did upon checkout. The lobby area is cozy, with one large table that seats about 8 to 10, with power available for laptops. The remainder of the seating is in pairs or groups of four around smaller tables designed more for cocktails and casual visiting. It's not brightly lit, but not dark, either. Checkin is easy, with the desk located right as you come into the front door. Elevators are nearby as well. Moving into our room, a two queen bed arrangement, we had a view of the pool area and an adjacent office building and parking garage. The room is spacious, with a "coffee bar" in the form of a built in nook featuring a Keurig machine (I travel with a whole setup, so I just moved it over and placed my own gear there). The bathroom is large but not well lit; it could benefit from more lighting. A tub/shower combo gets the job done, with substantial water pressure (so much so that one might have to modulate the pressure with the tub/shower slider) and plenty of hot water. A large entertainment piece features a newer model large screen tv (probably a 65") on top, and a fridge and safe underneath, along with drawers for storage. A comfortable desk is also present, and the TV can be repositioned to be viewable from the desk or either bed The beds themselves were firm at first, but my wife and I both slept comfortably, leading me to believe that there's a foam topper or something else involved, because we're usually uncomfortable on harder beds. We didn't interact with the staff very much, but when we did, they were all friendly and greeted us with a smile. Overall, it was a nice stay, and I'd visit again.

Yelp
The BEST vegetarian conference food! Attended for a conference and was pleasantly surprised at the food served. I ate vegetarian for this conference and it, hands down, went above and beyond to make sure the food options were plentiful for all the dietary restrictions in our group. Some highlights: Breakfast veggie egg bites, the Mexican salad bar and tortilla soup, the cauliflower quinoa platter lunch (the star, spicy and sweet). Note: This hotel donates all the untouched leftovers to a local pantry. Your food does not go to waste. Service: This hotel takes safety and security very seriously and made us all feel very comfortable.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience there. Rooms are super old and, some times, dirty. I even hurt my foot in their bathtub because it had a completely outdated style. This place is highly unrecommended and overpriced.

Yelp
I love the Omni hotel chain. I always try to stay with them due to the outstanding service I get. The Houston location lives up to the Omni standard. Staff is amazing and will help you any way they can. The pool and gym are great! The valet for your car is quick and they are funny. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Stayed there multiple times when it was still the Four Seasons, probably my best hotel experience ever next to Wynn Las Vegas

Yelp
HOTEL CLEANING STAFF STOLE MY TIFFANY NECKLACE that I had for over 15 years and the security team really couldn't care less. They told me they me they would send me a follow up email by end of day and I didn't receive anything and this was "The Director of security" who I was speaking with. I was told housekeeping didn't see my necklace but they moved the cheap jewelry I had that was on the same desk and placed it all together on a towel near the tv in my room. This is a necklace I can no longer purchase the necklace because it's so old Tiffany doesn't even sell it anymore. I am mad at myself for leaving it in the room. I looked at it before I walked out and started to take it with me and then I thought it should be fine. I've never had anything come up missing from a hotel and I am so sad this is what gets taken.
google avatar

Yelp
Well, this is a cool old fashioned hotel. There's a great bar and the swimming pool is huge. I would stay there again for sure.

Lilian L.

Yelp
This hotel needs to be remodeled. It is very clean, rooms are nice and big, but has not been updated for a loooonnnggg time... If you plan on charging your phone bring a wall charger, there are absolutely no usb chargers. And the outlets are behind the nightstand, so you'll have to work for it. I mean there is an Ethernet connection in the room in case you brought your Y2K computer with you... For the price of the rooms I think this is unacceptable.
google avatar

Rex H.

Yelp
Rooms are old with few outlets for devices. The food is expensive and not very good. I attended a conference here and there was not enough food for all participants when food was provided. The conference room was always too cold. The speaker system was lousy and it was hard to understand many of the speakers. Other than that the staff was usually very nice.
google avatar

Kiki E.

Yelp
The place was decorated nicely, with lots of lights in the front when you come in. The service was polite especially in the Birdie cafe they have there. The beds were so soft it made me want to take it home. And it was clean.

Ahmed N.

Yelp
Avoid the day pass at all costs. We booked the Cabana and were told we'd have access to the spa to shower and change. We confirmed this upon check in. Our reservation was from 3-7PM. We went to the spa at 6:20PM and it was closed. The receptionist couldn't do anything for us and we ended up changing in the hotel lobby with chlorine and pool water in our hair.

Kim D.

Yelp
This hotel was exceptional! The service was amazing! Everyone was kind and very accommodating. Cannot say enough about the entire staff - from the valet to the front desk to the servers in the restaurant and bar, to housekeeping. Well done!!!

Alison D.

Yelp
The hotel is nice overall, but the front desk/check in people are surprisingly unfriendly. Given the quality of everything else, you'd expect better customer service.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
So my company booked this hotel for me. The staff seemed "nice", but a bit standoffish. Maybe because of COVID, but I think that excuse is getting old. A few more smiles and friendliness goes a long way. I got up the room and I notice 1. A lightbulb out in the bath room, 2. The door on the TV hutch was loose and hanging down.. The room seems a but dated and in need of a few minor repairs. (caulk in the bathroom, a lash of paint on some of the walls and bathroom door. Early in the morning, i hear the house keeping repeatedly slamming the door on the room next door she was cleaning. For f**ks sake, prop the fricken door open! It's not that hard; a little common sense goes a long way. The food was mediocre at best, honestly, for the price it should have been better. Lastly, why am I paying 9.95 for internet when I'm already paying $230 for a room? I can't say I could recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Stayed here a few nights to attend a conference and it was really okay. Upon arrival, my key was already ready as I did a web check in, it was nice as I didn't have to stand in line at the front desk. I assumed they already have water bottles in my room but I had to come to the front desk to pick one up. My room smelled a bit funny. I think perhaps someone smoked there once and slight smell left? They have a complimentary shuttle to within 3 miles but during a peak time, wait could be closer to an hour and I ended up using Uber to get around. Conference catering staff wasn't that professional. I've been to many conferences and I thought they were slow and unprepared and understaffed. Nice size gym on site. Outdoor pool looked nice. One morning their hot water heater broke and we had to take a cold shower. Next day, I noticed shower pressure wasn't consistent. I am not sure if this hotel will be my first choice if my travel brings back to the area but front desk staff really tried and apologetic about issues.

Yelp
We went to the pool today and had the most amazing experience. But that it doesn't end there. The best part was Seyara in the Omni bar who was amazing. She made the best bloody Mary I've ever had in my life!!!!!!!!!! She made our whole night so much better. A true gem and a beautiful presence.
google avatar

Yelp
Easy check in and check. The pool bartender was super nice, and we had a good experience with him. The pool was kind of dirty and cloudy. There was there was there that was smoking cigars the whole time and threw his empty drink cups in the pool. We tried to order room service, but were told we had to go pick up the food ourselves. Birdie's Breakfast food and coffee was really good, and the bed was really comfortable. Also, I enjoyed seeing the Black Swans.

Yelp
This is for anyone that is seeking employment at this facility! I drove out to this facility the other day left my home at 11:20 to make sure I arrived by 1 o'clock interview from the Clearlake area. Had a hard time finding this place as the sign is out in the street and the hotel is set way in the back. Called at five till one. No one answered to let them know I was having a hard time finding the place not realizing the spa is closed on Tuesdays.. I find it Arrive at 1:13. The interviewer Emma Lopez comes down at 1:30 and tells me she marked me as a no call no-show. I told her I called she says no I marked you as a no call no show. Very rude! Never in all the years have I dealt with this for an interview! I thought to myself if this is the way they treat their people they're going to interview I hate to work for this company! I take it she's never been late for anything in her life!

Yelp
They take a $200 deposit when you check in, make sure you get it back when you check out. The lobby was nice, but the rooms are very outdated, furniture was funky looking. Our toilet wasn't even connected to the wall. No microwave either. We got food from the birdies cafe & it was mid & expensive.
google avatar

Yelp
Omni Hotel in Houston has a good first impression with its spacious and minimalist chic lobby. The room I stayed in was fine. Clean and everything a standard hotel room should have. It lacks in wall outlets so charging several electronics at the same time could be a challenge. Bathroom has a shower/tub combo. Restaurant is nice but WAY overpriced. Guest service was up to par. Pool area was nice. There is no retail/guest shop for essentials and no vending machines anywhere on the property. And the location being remote to anything is kind of a big downer. There's is PLENTY of room at the lobby level to add a guest shop somewhere. It probably will never happen so plan ahead if you stay there and bring whatever you think you may want/need. There's a refrigerator in the room.

Yelp
I am staying here for a couple of nights for a conference hand have had nothing but a positive experience so far. The check-in process was a breeze, the staff is friendly and helpful,y room is spacious and clean, and the bed is quite comfortable. I haven't tried the pool, as it's a bit chilly outside, but I've enjoyed using the expansive exercise room. Also, while the food and drinks are a bit pricey, everything has been tasty and the pours are generous. The location, while not very walkable, is within close driving distance to many nice restaurants. As stated, I've enjoyed my time here and haven't had any less than stellar experiences during my stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Yelp
I have stayed at Omni's religiously wherever I travel and have never had an issue until now - this was my first time at the Houston Omni and I will not be returning. The interior looks nicely renovated and new when you walk in and though the staff at the desk were kind, they share mis information. I will say - the bar and coffee staff was phenomenal. A woman from oregon specifically! As a black member I typically check in at 9-10am for business travel and I had called the night before to confirm this. After arriving at 9am promptly, I was again told my room was being cleaned and that I was first in queue and it would be ready within an hour or less. I waited for two full hours before finally having to find a quieter space to work and am currently going on hour 5 with no room. I called the manager to check in and told her the circumstances and all she had to say was that check in is at 3 (I have never checked in at 3 and I can see online there are tons of available rooms). absolutely terrible service and for black members nonetheless. Very disappointing.

Yelp
You could get a better night at a dive hotel out by Hobby. This place is extremely dated. In the past I've found branding from other hotel brands that once occupied the space. It sets the tone. "Pay a lot, we don't care". The wifi is bloody awful. After taking 27 steps of trying to sign into my Omni account I give up and using hot spot. For something that is free at 99% of hotels I have to pay $8-14/day. Kiss my a**. Parking is $34 for valet, $24 for self-parking. Again, I'm paying double to sleep here, and you need to rob me for parking and wifi??? The rooms are dated, not enough plugs, coffee maker is hidden away and I had to set it up and plug it in (on a night stand). There are no robes or bottles of water. Hard pass next time on this place. I'd rather stay in a dive out by Hobby.

Yelp
Was here for a work event and stayed for 5 nights. The lobby was very glamorous when walking in, I wish the rooms were modernized as much as the lobby. When checking in, I received 5 drink vouchers that could be redeemed for coffee delivery in room, or coffee and wine at the bar. I also had a bottle of wine in my suite because I was a VIP for our hotel block. The staff was okay, we had a few issues event wise but I'll use this space to speak about my personal experience. The coffee at the the bar is okay, I wish they had better options. On my last night was when I had the most inconvenient experience. Since I was there for work, I was out of the room from 7am to 7pm. I never placed a privacy door tag and assumed the staff would come each day to refresh the room. When I got to my room at 7pm, the room was not refreshed and a note was left saying to please call housekeeping and we will come at a better time.... I was gone for 12 hours, that was more than enough time. I called the lobby and mentioned the inconvenience and simply asked to just send fresh towels at this point. 30 minutes later, house keeping comes with 2 bottles of water.... not what I asked and no one ever followed up. Not sure if the staff is new or if the hotel just doesn't have high standards for service.

Regina L.

Yelp
THIS RATING IS FOR SIDRA...I usually don't review but because she was so helpful I decided to leave one. My husband accidentally booked with this hotel and was told by another staffer he could not get out of the reservation. So I called back and spoke with Sidra. She said because she saw that the reservation had just been made, she would cancel and reverse the charges. We were able to book where I originally wanted to stay. I WAS ELATED ...the other guest services guy was really giving us a hard time. 5 stars for Sidra. These are the kind of employees that make establishments great and create rep-or for returning customers. Great customer service Sidra.

Yelp
Since I absolutely HATE H-town traffic, and am again a nominee of Houston Business Journal's Top 25 Residential Real Estate Agents, I opted to stay at the host hotel, the Omni, since the breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. LOL. Valet was a breeze and check in was really easy. I was on the fence about going to the bar or just ordering room service wine. Well, when I noticed the mini bar had half bottles of cabernet, that solved my dilemma!! However, you have to request the mini bar key upfront or it will take about 20 minutes for it to be delivered to you. The rooms are dated, like 1960's-Brady-Bunch-style dated. I get it, I'm not moving in but I love a hotel that takes the time to get a facelift every now and then. My room did overlook the pool which is pretty at night, so that is nice. The mini bar is well stocked with liquor & wine, and they do offer a good selection of snacks and Aqua Panna water. The bathroom towels are soft, so that is nice! My big complaint is that they do not have shower gel. I have grown so accustomed to having that offered in every room at EVERY hotel and resort I have stayed at for the last several years, that I did not bring my own. Well that was a mistake, because now I have to use bar soap. Gross. I know, first world problems, right? The water in the sink also didn't get hot at all ... lukewarm at best and that was after running it for a while. The bed was ok but the pillows were foam and I had requested feather. I know, boo hoo ... Overall, a nice stay and I think they could get an extra star if they would renovate.

Do not stay in room 645. It sounded like a phone was vibrating all night long and now I'm more tired than when I arrived

Yelp
From what I understand this hotel recently underwent renovations. I stayed here for a convention taking place at the Omni. The lobby and decor was lovely but as soon as I entered a floor with carpet there was an off putting smell, like mildew. One colleague said she thought it was dog urine and another said his floor smelled the same way. Short of replacing the carpet, which looked fairly new, perhaps a deep clean or even piping in fragrance like the Westin or hotels in Vegas would help with the odor. My allergies really acted up during the stay and I'm certain it was due to something in the hotel. They seemed to be short staffed, as are many service industry businesses during the pandemic. I didn't understand how valet worked this time since there was no usual stand outside the entrance but later I saw that there was an indoor booth but it was unoccupied when I arrived. I received a discount for self parking. Bell hops and luggage carts were not readily available and had to be requested. Most staff were very friendly and I'm sure they felt overworked. The swimming pools looked as though they hadn't been skimmed in a while. The black swans behind the pools were fun to visit though. Food at Birdies and La Reserve (same menu as Birdies) was decent.

Yelp
I'm a frequent traveler and top tier elite with IHG (Spire/Ambassador) and Hilton (Diamond), but ended up at this Omni for a friend's wedding weekend. I joined the loyalty program and also booked my stay through American Express Platinum's Hotel Collection to see what sort of benefits I could score. Obviously your mileage may vary as this is always subject to availability and at the hotel's direction, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the degree to which Omni's staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We were upgraded to a Galleria Suite, which is a fairly large 2-room arrangement with a living area and separate bedroom, thanks to purchasing via AmEx Hotel Collection. The suites are very nicely appointed, but I was surprised that the doors that separate the bedroom from the living area have windowless windows covered only by mesh curtains with no class/plastic. One person can't watch TV in the living room without disturbing someone sleeping in the bedroom! But they're still phenomenal. Be warned, however, that the rooms ending in 19 are directly adjacent to an elevator shaft, which we found to be too noisy for us. We were graciously accommodated when we asked to switch to another suite far away from the elevators. Booking through AmEx Hotel Collection also provides a $100 hotel credit good toward your incidentals, which is a great way to sample some of the various on-property amenities. We applied 1/2 of it to self-parking fees, and the rest to a few small orders from Birdie's (one of their bar/cafes). As a Select Guest member -- even Gold, which is their lowest tier -- I received two drink vouchers at check-in which we used for a couple wines at the bar. The pool is heated and open year round. We didn't get to swim, but loved having the option. Gym is very, very nicely appointed, including Peloton bikes! TVs in the rooms are EXCELLENT and have built-in Chromecast so you can BYOD and watch whatever you want, which I love. It drives me crazy when hotels lock the TVs down so you can't use the HDMI input or get your own media onto them. I didn't test the HDMI here so I don't know if you could actually plug into it, but it wouldn't surprise me. I am always baffled that hotels think the presumably small amount of revenue that may come from paid TV media is worth the terribly frustrating experience customers have of trying to jack around with a TV that has had its basic functionality altered for the sole purpose of preventing us from doing what we want to do. Ugh... Anyway, THANK YOU Omni for being awesome in that regard. One thing that was important to us in the Galleria Suite was having enough space for our 3-year old. The rollaway beds Omni provides fit, albeit snugly, into the bedroom side of the suite, meaning the living room is available for adults to hang out in after a kid has been put to bed. Again, real doors separating the rooms would be awesome, but at the end of the day just having a nice upgrade was clutch. Props to Tomas for help getting the suite sorted and to Missy for helping to answer all my questions, and also for the chocolate strawberries and the cheese plate after we had to change rooms. Oh, someone also left us a cookie and a little carton of whole milk for our kid the night before when they brought in the rollaway bed, which was a delightful touch. Overall, very impressed with the Omni. These little touches go a long freaking way, and I'm definitely going to start looking for Omnis more on my non-wedding travel now that I see the quality of the experience. Just top-notch here, very impressed all around, and even with 6 weddings happening here this weekend somehow everything was managed without any noticeable issues. Just....awesome.

Yelp
For as much as this place costs, you would think the rooms and hallways would be updated to a more modern look. As I walked through the floor level to access my room, I felt like I was in the Shining movie. It smelled old. The room I stayed in didn't have a working fridge so they had to bring me a separate one which took up space. The lobby is very misleading because once you enter the floors, it's a different story. The parking is an issue for me because I feel that should be included with the room stay. Wrong, that's an extra $24.00 per key card, which you get to keep (yay)! Not only do you have the parking fee but you also have a parking tax!! The only good thing I will say about this place is the customer service. Other than that, it was over priced for what I was expecting. I'm pretty reasonable and others may disagree but if you don't believe me, go check it out for one night to see for yourself and formulate your own conclusion. I'm not able to post my bill on here so everyone can see all the taxes that are charged. The least they could do is make the parking part of the stay like most other hotels. The bed was so uncomfortable that both of my hips hurt to the point I couldn't get out of bed to go to the bathroom. I thought I was starting to develop arthritis in my hips but when I got back home and slept in my own bed, my hips were better the following morning. Last time I will ever stay here! Fix the parking for others. It's ridiculous we're already getting the hell taxed out of us, then to add insult to injury, they add a "parking fee". NO GOOD!! They don't even have a ventilation fan in the bathroom. My wife stunk up the whole room and even the hallway. Some of the other guest's came out to see if something doed, so needless to say, a fan would've been nice. I had to light candles and when we blew them out, the smoke alarm went off. At least we knew they worked.

Yelp
We stayed at the Omni in the kids suite and it was great! They called prior to our arrival to ask what the kids favorite colors were and if we had any special request. When we arrived , check-in was a breeze. The representative informed me that I was pre-checked and handed me my keys. When the kids saw the room, they were beyond excited. There were balloons, video games, books, movies , and complementary snacks! The large chalk board had all of the kids names drawn on it and a welcome message. Room service , although a little pricey, was delicious and prompt. My husband and I stayed in the connecting room and it was probably one of the most comfortable stays we've experienced , traveling with children. We've always liked the Omni but this experience has sealed the deal!

Yelp
I was in the area for work and chose this hotel due to its affordable weekday pricing, and it's convenient location. There was a fee to valet park overnight, but it was pretty inexpensive. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. My room was really nice- big, comfy, and just gorgeous. The lobby was beautiful as well- tons of seating with a beautiful fireplace too. There is a restaurant and shops in the hotel as well. The outdoor grounds are absolutely stunning and what drew me to this hotel in the 1st place. I took a really nice walk around everything and really enjoyed it. There are also ACTUAL BLACK SWANS on the grounds which was pretty amazing. They were beautiful. The pool is also incredibly nice- there's a ton of outdoor seating and lounging areas. The fitness room is also incredibly nice for a hotel. Overall, this place was just beautiful and I hope to stay here again.

Yelp
I come here for brunch Easter yearly. It has a nice atmosphere and and their Service is usually good, but this year was subpar. Our server was ok but his helper who spoke no English couldn't understand anything I ask him. Why would they employ people at a high end places like this to be a helper, and have helpers who can't understand simple request. It was such a disappointment when they ran out of crab fingers and oysters. OMNI hotel brunch this year was a big disappointment and spending over a 1000 bucks wasn't worth it.

Yelp
This was not a good experience. While we were staying there, a pipe burst and flooded our entire floor. Even as we had to walk through ankle deep water and dodge industrial sized floor fans on the floor to get back to our room, the Omni did not address the issue at all, nor offer any sort of concession at checkout besides a small food and beverage credit that we did not use. Disappointing.

Yelp
The Newly 30 million Dollar renovated Omni hotel is a must to checkout if you plan on traveling to Houston or a nice staycation !!! This hotel has everything you can think of from a whiskey bar, restaurant with tasty food, luxury shopping, spa treatments, pool, gym and one of the hottest clubs in Houston located in the basement of the hotel.

Yelp
Second stay at this Omni and cant really complain. We were there for the New Years party at the Black Swann. The room was nice and comfortable. The view of 610 and memorial from the 11th floor was really nice. The party was ok, the guy at the door was pretty annoying checking IDs every single time! After midnight we enjoyed the DJ in the lobby, much better music than at the swann at that point. Valet was $32 for the night and you could leave the hotel and revalet without a problem. Overall a good experience. They also brought prosseco and cookies to the room before midnight, we thought that was a nice detail. I'm a member with their hotel group and will definitely stay at their hotels again (free WiFi for members!).

Yelp
Staying here right now. Whole place smells like mold and mildew like the majority of people have mentioned in their reviews. Place is disgusting. No problem with the 60's rooms it adds a "vibe" you don't normally get, but the smell is unbearable. Needs to be torn down to the studs and rebuilt. The "renovation" where they put new paint and carpet doesn't cut it

Yelp
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the services that I received with my recent stay at this hotel. I purchased the executive suite with the escape to romance package (romantic turndown service, $100 food voucher and pre-call assistance for additional services) through the main Omni website. Upon my arrival to the hotel at 2:30pm (with a 3pm check-in) I still had not received a pre-call to make arrangements for my room for after my wedding. During check-in the staff apologized as this should have occurred. While speaking with the staff they too appeared to be clueless about the services associated with the package. I had to show my reservation receipt with the details to begin to establish the accommodations and setup the turndown service. Upon return to the hotel after my wedding, my partner and I entered the room to see "U I" spelled out on the bed in stead of "I U". Thankfully my other half did not take offense and laughed it off; I however did not find it amusing in the slightest. After this, I called guest services to setup breakfast arrangements and verified that I had $100 credit; this was verbally confirmed and I was reassured it would be taken care of. When the food arrived I received a bill without the credit and was told to contact guest services with any questions. When I called I was told that yes the credit was to be applied upon check-out. At check-out l received the bill and immediately noticed two charges: 1) I WAS billed for the full room service and 2) our complimentary beverages (we selected coffee) was charged to us. While I am not overly concerned about the charge for the coffee, I do want to address it as it is further insult to injury in this situation when it was explained that it was to be complimentary. Additionally, upon letting the front desk staff know about the turndown service with pictures, they laughed and explained that the Nigerian staff were not too fluent in English and that this was a learning moment. I chose the Omni because of its reputation and unfortunately it did not live up to the standard that was expected! Again this was my wedding night and nearly everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. This should have been the least of my worries and instead it caused me a great deal of burden and inconvenience! I later spoke with an Assistant Manager via phone call and he agreed that these were severe issues that should not have occurred, and he did agree that the front desk staff blaming the Nigerian staff was crude and uncalled for. He explained that arrangements could be made to recreate the package on New Year's Eve for us as this was a moment that would be forever tarnished. Unfortunately, when I received his email communication the agreement from the phone call, the New Years Eve accommodations were taken off the table. I immediately replied back for a refund for the stay and have yet to hear back 24 hours later.

Yelp
I'm staying here this week on a work trip. The staff has been so nice and helpful. I've stayed in some super upscale places all over the world and some dilapides one- offs where perhaps a suit of human skin was made, or lives have truly been ruined. I digress. Any way, this is a lovely place and the staff is so nice. Rooms are clean, the coffee good. Def stay here if You're in town.

Yelp
This hotel is great for business travel. Away from the noisy freeway and the food is good. The people at this hotel are so accommodating and professional. My truck was stolen while I was in the city and they helped with rental car referrals and adjusting my reservations. My go to hotel in Houston from now on.

Yelp
Recently hung out at the Omni for the holiday weekend. The first 2 floors have been newly renovated since hurricane Harvey. Although I enjoyed the lobby the way it was previously, it is open and modern. Food was really good in the restaurant and poolside. They are heavy handed with salt though, like everything we ordered over the 3-4 days we were there. We mostly enjoyed our time poolside and our server Lo was exceptional, friend and attentive. They played fun music all day. Kept the area spiffy and even played a movie under the stars to entertain the kids. We live locally, but couldn't get away for the weekend and this was the perfect "staycation". They also have a shuttle service to take you to many of the fine restaurants within a 3 mile radius and they are timely. Thanks for a relaxing and enjoyable get away.

Yelp
Such a disappointment. Spent $200 to come here for New Year's Eve, paid extra for "vip" to ensure a good night, assuming less lines, premium liquor, etc. this was not the case. We literally got a total of 3 drinks the whole evening and the 3rd was only because I got two at a time on the 2nd go round to the bar after waiting 45 minutes if not longer. Then once we got there they didn't even have what we requested (tequila) and couldn't make a dirty martini. Then they lost my jacket in the coat check on the way out. Unbelievable! No apology or anything! I have a hospitality background. I've worked many events on New Years bartending, serving, and managing. I could go on for days of what went wrong this night but I will spare you. Moral of the story don't come here for any big events! Unacceptable service and not to mention pure robbery! Reply: I understand it may of been an outside company who created the event but didn't your staff run it? Who decided how many associates would be working and how many bars? Typically it's the hotel staff. Also, I spoke to a manager from the outside company that night when my jacket was lost in coat check and he said that unfortunately they couldn't do anything because it was the Omni running it.

Yelp
I stayed here for a conference and found it very difficult to find my way around. There were not any signs to maneuver around the hotel and although the hotel was beautiful, they were in need of better user friendly guides. The first morning there was no hot water for a shower, I heard several other attendees from the conference complain of that as well and the next day I got up extra early so I could enjoy a hot shower and the fire alarm went off in my room. I heard the hotel was newly remodeled so maybe they are still working out the kinks but that was not a pleasant experience. I am still rating the hotel three stars mostly because the staff were accommodating and friendly, it is located in a nice area and the grounds are beautiful. Only an outdoor pool though and too cold to be out in February
