"Old World Charm, New World Style Confusion. I think that’s what some people feel when they first lay eyes on the Montelucia Resort & Spa. With its ornate entryways and floral squares, the resort looks more like a charming European village than an Arizona resort. But, you know what? It works. Montelucia is downright enchanting. And in case you find yourself slipping and forgetting just where you are, simply look the south for the best possible reminder – Scottsdale’s iconic Camelback Mountain. There’s plenty to keep you busy on property, including five dining spots, but the very best way to pass the time is at Joya Spa. Inspired by the Moroccan desert and Spain’s Andalusian region, Joya is 32,000 square feet of total relaxation. Lavish lounge areas, a rooftop pool and terrace, and a detoxifying hammam are all a part of the experience. The latter improves circulation and balance using time-tested rituals from Northern Africa."

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia

"While other recent Scottsdale-area hotels aspire to urban cool, the 293-room Montelucia will appeal to fans of the classic desert resort, where every turn brings another pool (five in this case) and every employee demonstrates an eagerness to please. Designed with clusters of rooms meant to represent small villages, the resort has Moorish touches that blend well with the desert landscape. The Moroccan-inspired spa, perhaps the only one in Arizona with services that include a hammam ritual, is at the heart of things, but guests must go off-site for tennis and golf. The main restaurant, Prado—popular with locals—follows chef Claudio Urciuoli’s slow-food, everything-local philosophy, with many dishes grilled on a wood fire."

Everything was fantastic from the check-in staff to the beautiful room we got with the red rock view. The pools were open early in the morning and we swam twice to start our day. Lovely breakfast and staff. Had lovely dinner at Prado complete with prosecco my favorite. We stayed here because the 90-day cast. I believe our experience was much better than theirs ever was lol. Thank you so much We just loved our stay and will be back when we visit from Idaho

I went here for the first time for a wedding. It was absolutely five star.. The property is beautiful, the grounds, the views all stunning it really is a must see if you’re coming to visit here in the Phoenix area. It only got better as the night went on. The food was absolutely wonderful. Steak melted in my mouth 👄 fantastic. Well done! the staff was superb. Highly recommend you check this place out. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit.

We traveled from Idaho and stayed here because of the 90-day crew program. We got a room in the back next to the red mountain omg how beautiful it was and quiet and serene. We parked the car left it there for 2 days. We had prosecco and a great dinner next morning had a real nice breakfast. And went swimming twice the pools were so refreshing and clean and there are three pools. Jasmine at the front desk was very very nice as we were newly married and she made sure that we had a nice day. We will definitely be back again. Thank you

Cannot recommend this resort enough when you’re traveling to the Scottsdale area! The location is convenient and has incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The grounds are stunning, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and comfortable (highly recommend a camelback view room), the on-site amenities great! Don’t miss out on dinner at Prado! The fitness center is great and offers several classes, the spa is amazing, there is an adults only pool with food and bar service as well as complimentary water. Shoutout to Gina at the front desk and Ollie our server at Prado- but honestly I wish I could remember all the staff’s name that we came into contact with bc they were all wonderful! The gentleman working at Crave took the time to recommend some fun stuff for us to do ( visiting old town scottsdale to shop and eat) - seriously the staff here is outstanding! Even tho the resort was fully booked and had a couple of private events going on, it never felt overly crowded or loud! There are several fire pits around the resort to sit by which we loved for the cool evenings.

We went for Valentine’s Day, my wife and I had a great time and loved all the amenities and food choices. The resort was immaculate, green grass everywhere, several pools and hot tubs, even one that doesn’t allow children. The resort was so big that we got our walking goals in daily just by walking around the grounds. Omni does a great job making you feel welcome and keeping the resort in perfect condition, great place for a weekend getaway.

Went for a business trip. This may have been my favorite business trip to date. Amenities were great and it was very easy to relax and slow down. I will consider this place again for future trips to PHX. February was the perfect temperature. May have been too hot in middle of summer to fully enjoy all the outdoors.

This is our fourth year staying at the Omni for our anniversary, and it just keeps getting better! The views of Camelback Mountain are unparalleled, and the property is absolutely gorgeous. We prefer to stay at the back of the property which have rooms with patios facing the mountain and they have always gone out of their way to accommodate our request. Victor, who works in the bar at Prado, is so great and we always make a point of having at least a drink or two to visit with him. The grounds are so well kept and the property never feels crowded. I'm hopeful to come back when it's warmer to enjoy the beautiful pools!

Yelp
I just came back from a mini-break with my sister after the hectic holiday season. We checked in when everyone was checking out at the end of the New Year's weekend so it wasn't as crowded as it would have been during peak season or weekends which is exactly what we needed. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Special shout out to Jerry - he could not have been any nicer, made us feel so welcomed, had so many helpful suggestions and made sure we had everything we needed. The grounds at this resort are beautiful, nicely landscaped with water fountains throughout the property. The weather was perfect, our room was spacious and centrally located to the pools, gym and restaurants. The gym had everything you need (loved the Pelotons). The bed was so comfortable - I slept 12 hours one night (which I never do). There are plenty of lounge chairs and I loved the outdoor fireplaces as they made for a nice place to curl up and catch up on some reading. The pools were heated which was nice way to unwind after a lazy day of doing nothing. The resort itself was close to Camelback Mountain which was convenient for hiking and old town Scottsdale which was really nice to check out. The vibe and environment of the resort made it great to reconnect and have really, deep meaningful conversations with my sister, chart our course for 2025 and make sure we're on the same page with respect to our family. I'm grateful to have had this time with her and to start my 2025 in special way and place. I would highly recommend Omni to everyone.

Yelp
We stayed here for 6 nights during our honeymoon and we absolutely loved every minute spent there. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with almost anything. They have everything you need in one spot, which made relaxing very easy for us. Their pool is so clean and a beautiful place to hang out. The suite we had was stunning. Prado, the restaurant on the premises has amazing food. The little cafe there has great coffee and gelato too. We would absolutely go back here in the future, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Jane at the front desk was extremely sweet and helpful. Thank you for everything Jane!!

Yelp
I really wanted to be "Wowed" but it was just "ok". I will say the service from the pool, spa and wait staff was amazing. I enjoyed my interactions with them personally. As for the resort itself, it was well kept but the rooms seemed outdated. Our AC never really felt like it was on full blast but we came when it wasn't 100 degrees so not that big of deal. Our patio chaise lounge had a huge stain on it and we tipped the bellman to replace it but that never happened. Food was good but we found better options in town. I also received a spa service, the signature pedicure. I wanted my nails but they only did manicures and I was interested in a gel builder fill. The service itself wasn't as grand as I wanted it to be but the girl was very friendly and nice to speak too. All in all, not a bad choice for a casual stay. It looked like they were a big wedding venue/event hotel so maybe that's something to consider if you aren't looking to be around all the chaos but we were ok with it.

Yelp
Amazing amazing resort. The only concern is the price but even then if you can spend the money, it's worth it. The staff was kind, even when they aren't "on the clock". I was lost my first time in the self-parking garage and someone who was clearly off the clock inquired if they could help me. The property is gorgeous. I was here for a wedding welcome reception and a wedding. There are cute little shops on property and the pool is beautiful and big. You can spend the entire, relaxing week here and not need to go off property. The backdrop is Camelback Mountain, which is mesmerizing. The wedding was held in a garden that had Camelback Mountain in the back. It was chilly so they had heaters out - enough for everyone if needed. There were sushi and salad at the reception - good. The wedding was beautiful and there were enough staff there to help if you needed anything. The reception after the wedding was beautiful - centerpieces to decorations to music to food! My boyfriend and I had the filet. Mine was made medium rare and his was made well done, we were a bit disappointed at his well done filet. Otherwise it was a great experience. I visited my friend (another wedding guest) in her hotel room and it was gorgeous and comfortable. Bathroom was fancy and nice and spacious. Overall, great property!

Yelp
Got treated by my bestie for a Birthday Gift. We booked signature pedicures and got to spend the rest of the day enjoying the different amenities, such as pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and more. The pedicure in my opinion wasn't what I was expecting nor the money. However, the rest of the experience was great! We enjoyed our lunch relaxing by one of the rooftop pools which had such a nice view. We were even given a complimentary refresher drink. Overall it's a very nice relaxing resort for the whole family. I would visit again minus the pedicure.

Yelp
WOW, is all I can say about this Omni property. From arrival to departure my stay was nothing short of excellent and this was for a work trip. Every single staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful from the time I dropped off my car, to grabbing a coffee in Crave, and everything in between. My room was in building 11 and I absolutely loved how spacious it was (the bathroom was fantastic!) Sleep quality was great, tons of outlets in the room along with robes/iron/hair dryer (no slippers though?) We ate all our meals here given it was a work function and I was really impressed with the quality of the banquet food. The entire property felt incredibly serene, despite being in the middle of a big giant concrete city.

Yelp
My family and I decided to do a day pass at the resort on Sunday, which was the memorial day weekend. Parking was a little confusing, but we figured it out because we had to go underground to park and can get our ticket valid for free since we had the day pass. We had to ask some assistance to get to the front desk to receive our wristbands and be directed to the pool for our cabana we rented. They were a little unorganized once we arrived at the pool for the family area and had to wait a little over 10 minutes for them to get the list and figure out where everyone was assigned. The hours for the cabana was from 11 AM to 5 PM so you would think that someone would be ready & available for all customers who purchased a day pass and reserved cabanas. The regular seating area only sits comfortably five people and the other two chairs are for to lay out in the sun. We wish this seating comfortably inside the cabana was sick or more people and the more comfortable seats so you do not have to use the beach chairs. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The service we received were friendly, and as time went on, more customers came in it was very busy. We ordered some food and drinks and noticed the food was very pricey and we think there will be specials offered for the memorial day weekend and include sides especially for our price of $22 or more. So if you order a sandwich and or wings, you had to add fries on the side for eight dollars, but the burger did come with chips. The drinks we ordered were good. We were a little disappointed with our mimosa orders came w/ a small cups of orange juice and pineapple juice and did not come in a large container like the water. For the price of $46 or more we should have received a large orange juice and pineapple juice for that price. Lemon pepper wings were over seasoned but cooked to perfection. Our burger taste good and was glad chips was offered with the burger instead of paying extra. We love that the staff was offering visitors to wear visors to shed the sun and also frozen grapes as well when we were at the pool area, which were nice perks. We were revised that the pool area for adults were dirty and was glad we did not book that area for our past. Also not sure why they charge a surcharge of 22% for renting a cabana when guests ready pay a fee of $300 or more to rent the space out for the day that fee should not charged when renting the cabana spaces because of the price that was paid already. Overall, we did have a good experience and would like to come again and hope it's more organized and hope meals include sides for the price and the quantity of beverages for drinks ordered for it to come in a large container for the price thats charged to the guests.

Yelp
What a beautiful resort! You feel like you have been whisked away to the Spanish countryside! Camelback Mtn is the back drop. The pools are beautiful! Many dining and bar options. Amazing stand up showers and soaker tubs in every room. The spa is complete zen so spoil yourself with a treatment. The staff is great (Jerry the bellman) and friendly. Excited to return!

Yelp
This is a beautiful resort for sure. The heated pool is nice and there is an adults only section which is a draw for me since I don't enjoy being splashed by kids cannonballing. The fitness center is nice and has a lot of machines, weights, classes, including pelotons. The reason this is a 3 star for me is the room. The bathroom was beautiful and had an amazingly deep soaking bathtub which I loved but the shower was quite mediocre, and a puddle of water collected (and cooled) and did not drain after first use. The bed was not particularly comfortable, a little too firm I think for my liking. The first bothersome aspect was that the smoke detector flashed a light about every 2 seconds that was quite bright in the otherwise dark room. I'm not sure why they placed it so it was facing you in the bed but it was so bad I had to drag a chair across the room and cover it with a dark shirt in order to be able to sleep. The second bothersome aspect was that the room had a sort of musty smell if I didn't keep the balcony door open. Lastly, there was a low frequency mechanical hum that was intermittently present that was very disruptive as it would come and go. I never figured out where it came from. If you are someone who is not sensitive to light sound or smell these things would probably be less bothersome to you but it certainly detracted from the room for me.

Yelp
The resort is as beautiful as the pictures The staff is amazing especially the valet service. The pool service is really really amazing. They come by and drop off waters without you even saying anything. The only issue I have is the pillows In the room. No feather pillows. The pillows in the rooms are very thick and firm. It's like sticking your chin to your chest the entire night. Hopefully management sees this because it wasn't just me who thought that. Thank you Omni for such a beautiful stay.

Yelp
I would give this place a million stars. And that's with two rooms AC breaking. The staff is TRULY incredible. They gave us the best experience possible. The food...so good!!! We went out to dinner one night and it was nowhere close to as good as this place. It was our anniversary and I can't tell you how sweet it was that you all showered us with gifts and kindness and we truly cannot wait to come back. Just to name a few incredible people there...Andrew and his incredible Prado staff, Javier, Chris, Gina, Scott, Joe, Jerry, Patty. We can't wait to come back!!! Thank you so much for the best time!! Try the paella!! Chris forced it on me and he was spot on! Sooo good.

Yelp
I have only stayed here once, and through some turn of events we had this private villa(literally a house standing by itself in the resort) instead of a traditional room and it still stands out as one of my favorite hotel stays! Absolutely beautiful grounds, sparkling pools, stellar service from the moment you get there and just a total oasis in the heat of Phoenix. Gorgeous rooms, huge showers , nice tubs and I slept like a princess in the big fluffy bed! Tons of photo op's. Definitely worth it! Hope to come back someday!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to stay while in Arizona! So many amenities to choose from and one of my favorite spas. Lots of great restaurants on site to choose from. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Without a doubt one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. Customer service was an all around 10/10 from the front desk staff, the restaurant staff, and the cafe staff everyone was beyond amazing and truly exceeded expectations. Trey at the front desk was someone we interacted with regularly and he was always polite and offered us an amazing customer service experience. Every server and bartender we interacted with on the property, even the pool service, was exceptional. The valet is generous and kind, we enjoyed every interaction we had with each and every one of them. The food we had in the restaurants and poolside was all fantastic. The coconut shrimp tacos will be in my dreams for months and don't even get me started on the churros. Yummmm. Carne Asada fries and strawberry daiquiris by the pool are a MUST and created an elevated experience. Water and menus are brought out immediately by the attentive staff and they are always checking in to make sure you're content. Pool and pool deck are clean and well kept all the way around. The property itself is something of an Italian dream. Very well kept grounds and beautiful views from every angle. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We stayed in a beautiful second floor suite style room with a pool and camelback view. The room itself was amazing and the lounge chair on the patio was my favorite spot to watch the sunset and eat gelato from the Cafe. The bathroom was spacious and we were extremely impressed by the water pressure in the shower which is something we always struggle with in hotels. The room was sparkling and very clean in every way. If we have even the slightest complaint it has to be the quality of the bed. What felt like a 10 year old spring mattress was extremely disappointing. Since we were here for our baby moon the comfortability of the bed was very important to me and that was quite a shock in a room that was so expensive and such a high quality resort. My husband and I were able to get comfortable for our 4 night stay but it was a struggle. We likely could have switched rooms had we reported the issue however we were so happy with our room location we just managed the best we could. We also had an amazing experience at the Joya Spa and my massage therapist, Ashley, was a true gem. I had the expectant mother's massage and she was very kind and patient with me and explained many ways I could have the best experience in my condition. The spa pool was a fantastic way to end after our massages and I wish we could have spent more time there. We will absolutely be returning to the Omni Montelucia in the near future and will recommend it to everyone we know traveling to the area.

Yelp
Solid four stars. Very nice facility at the base of Camelback with numerous different buildings, separate room units, intertwined restaurants, pools, conference rooms. Large patio at the entrance which we used for our outdoor reception before moving inside for sit down dinner. Rooms come with separate little patios, are reasonably spacious. The service was overall friendly. What we missed was attention to details such as restocking of coffee capsules in the room. The food offered was good, not spectacular, good.

Yelp
The food here is REALLY amazing and I felt affordable for being at a resort. Wish I had taken pictures but I was in a large group in a cabana! Great day

Yelp
My husband and I opted for a staycation for our wedding anniversary at the Omni Montelucia in Scottsdale! We booked a regular king room, request an upgrade if available (for an additional fee), and we honestly aren't sure if we got it or not because the pictures on the website for the rooms are vague, nor did reception let me know at check in. Regardless, the room was beautiful, impeccably clean, and spacious. We loved the space! The bed was super soft and comfy too. Our favorite spot was the balcony! The chairs were comfortable and the weather was perfect for our stay Memorial Day weekend. There are a wide range of room packages to choose from - regular rate, AAA, breakfast credit, spa credit, etc. We opted for the breakfast rate, so we could enjoy Prado on the resort site the next day. I reviewed that experience separately. We hung out at the Oasis Pool, which is for 18+ yo hotel guests. It was pretty packed on Saturday - we actually had to use one of the cabana's chairs to lay out. We did ask the cabana renters if we could use a chair! Other guests also disrespectfully put their chairs right in front of the stairs and ladders to enter the pool, then glared at us as we walked through the chairs to enter the pool. The next morning, the chairs were back to their original orientation, that's how we knew guests moved them. The chairs were also blocking the ADA pool lift!?? How rude. The pool should be accessible to everyone. The parking situation was also poorly explained to us. The valet guys said because we were hotel guests, we'd have in/out privileges from the garage. Not true. We left the hotel for dinner and to grab some bottled water from the grocery store (we thought bottled water would be more accessible at the hotel), and had to pay for parking both times we left, despite swiping our room key. While our room was 5 stars, there were some aspects of our stay that made this experience not reach 5/5 stars.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful experience at the Omni. Our stay was lovely, the property is extremely beautiful and the staff were absolutely amazing. I would recommend visiting during Christmas time, they did an excellent job decorating and it put us the perfect spirit for the holidays!
google avatar

Robbin B.

Yelp
Peace & Tranquility absolutely come to mind when thinking of our stay @Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa. Our stay of one week included Christmas Day 2022. Our Christmas Eve and Day consisted of beautiful weather including poolside food & drink. All the resort restaurants/stores remained open. The rooms have a rustic charm with comfy beds, large oversized soaking tubs and walk-in shower. Our room also offered a lovely patio with lounge & table seating including great views! This Spanish inspired hotel offers immaculate grounds, walking paths, camel mountain views and epic citrus trees throughout. Don't skip Joya Spa! A truly tranquil experience with excellent treatment options. This was our first Christmas away from home. We left The Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa refreshed, with zero stress equaling Christmas perfection! Friendly staff, great service, prompt valet. I look forward to our next stay. **If you feel the need to leave the resort, excellent shopping/dining options within 20 minute drive.

Yelp
We had out Leadership Retreat at the OMNI the week of 10/20/2024. First off, the handling of the event during the run-up and planning was fantastic. Stephanie B. did a fantastic job with bringing in our business (zero buyers remorse). I felt like my vision was heard and accommodated for, as well as made to feel that our business was important to them. Amye W. did an amazing job with coordinating the details and being accommodating and patient of changes. I felt that I was in good hands all the way. All promises were delivered upon and communications/correspondence was timely and punctual. The event space itself was immaculate. Their resort is equipped to handle a large variety of group sizes - ours was (35). Their meeting space (Castillo Lucena) was incredible - the entrance was beautiful, the interior was beautiful, and the acoustics of the room were outstanding. Our breakout spaces completely met our needs and each offered some uniqueness. The grounds of the resort are epic. The pools a great, the gym is great, the spa is great, the restaurants are great, the rooms are great, the scenery of Camelback Mountain in the back drop is breathtaking. Add to it, we did a hike up Camelback which is only a 0.5mi walk away, so the location was perfect. Service was top-notch. The best way to say it is someone was always available for a conversation, communication was rampant, needs were heard and acted upon, and our business mattered to them. With that attitude and approach, you're going to create repeat business.

Yelp
SERVICE, that's the problem. Not attitude or friendliness, but timeliness is a persistent problem. We came for a weekend in July; it was moderately busy, but not full capacity. The property is beautiful with a majestic view of Camelback mountains (we had a second-story room with a commanding view). The room was spectacular, with a large, fluffy bed, plenty of space and a very comfortable balcony. So why can't they get their service act together? When we arrived, two couples ahead of us checking in were having room-readiness problems (their rooms were not ready yet) and staff clearly had no idea of when the rooms might be ready (why can't they contact housekeeping? It's 4pm and check-out was 11am, so why are the rooms not ready?). We got lucky: our room was ready. The Kasbah pool is excellent for wading and kid-friendly; but it takes about 30 minutes to get a drink (from placing order-to-delivery, and I'm talking about a drink in a can, not a specialty cocktail). We ordered twice, and it was a 30-minute wait each time for no apparent reason (it wasn't that busy). Staff were very friendly, but they seemed oblivious to the issue of TIME. We met a nice couple at the pool who were having the same issue. I made a comment after waiting forever for my second drink order, and the server apologized, saying they too are disappointed when service takes too long. Nice, but confusing and not helpful. We left to get food (please see my review for CASA CORAZON -- ah-MAAAAAZING!!!!), so I cannot comment on the food, but it looked good. The next morning, my wife got us coffee at the resort coffee shop (good coffee; and there are Keurigs in the room as well). In the room, she decided she wanted to ice it. I called the front desk just to find out where the ice machine was. Couldn't get through. Called room service; they told us it was in the next building but said "No problem, we can just bring you some right now." We waited about 20 minutes, looked at each other and realized that I just should have gone to the ice machine. So I got dressed, got a little lost but eventually found the ice machine (which was, ironically, below our balcony and across the walkway). I returned, my wife iced her drink, and 10 minutes later (about 40 minutes after my call), guess who was at the door with a giant bucket of ice? I thanked him but noted that I already got the ice because, well, it was taking a long time. I'm not going to complain about prices: it's a resort, so things are going to be expensive, and I fully understand that. And, as I mentioned, staff are very friendly! They just, apparently, have zero concept of timeliness.

Yelp
While visiting Phoenix for a business event we were lucky to get to stay at the Omni. To say the property surpassed my expectations is not something that comes often. As I travel for work weekly and help properties renovate to meet today's expectations it is a great feel to visit a property that focuses on making its guests feel welcome. Upon arrival I was welcomed by the valet and escorted to the check in desk. They quickly checked me in and then walked me to the cart attendant that took me to my unit. The room was ever nice and had a great view. The property has great ballrooms and private rooms for all your event needs. The food and beverage team never left our team hungry or requesting a change in menu. Adam "out" bartender was fantastic. He made sure all the guests were happy and glasses full. This was the same for all the staff that helped. Can't wait to return soon to relax and refresh.

Yelp
outrageously expensive at the spa. let me start by saying they do a perfectly lovely job. We were getting manicures and pedicures for four people. By the way it's not a fancy place kind of like a regular salon. I want to mention that I have had manicures and pedicures all over the world. I was a little stunned that it was $1000 for four people. Certainly I could've asked in advance but I have never had anything like that happen and it wasn't like it was some ultra regal amazing place that you know is going to be charging extra... I think if you're going charge that much you should definitely mention it to people in advance. We were grateful for the services and we tipped well but I will not be returning.

Yelp
Amazing stay! The people were so friendly! They are very kind to kids. We stays in the one bedroom suite. The bedroom has doors separate between living room and bathroom. Lots activities to do in the resort. The water of swimming pool is so clean. They offered kids meals for all their restaurants, even ordering food at the pool! We stayed for 2 nights and did not even leave the resort. They also offered free water and the front desk saw me with my kids. She gave my kids color books and a very nice bag to hold their color books! Their guests can get s'mores kit at the resort's restaurant, which is appx $21. The parking per day is $25. It's about 20 mins from the airport.

Yelp
The resort is spectacular with exceptional guest-services. It has an elegant Old World, Spanish Villa feel with beautiful sky-high Italian Cypress trees & ivy on stone walls as well as palm trees. There's a central courtyard (surrounded by the restaurants, spa, & main pool) with "fire pit tables" & fountains, couches, outdoor dining, ping pong table, etc., and they have special activities on weekends. The rooms have dark-wood Spanish furniture and large balconies or patios. The bathrooms are fabulous, and I loved the "Devine" bedding. The resort is surrounded by the mountains with a close-up, picture-perfect view from everywhere, and Camelback mountain seems like a stone's throw away from the Adults-Only Pool. My favorite was the beautiful main pool area (by all of the restaurants). The lighting is magical at night. The pool servers are excellent & prompt, the craft cocktails are really "cool," and the pool menu had two of my favorite choices: the PRADO burger & CENTRO's Tuna Avocado salad. I had the salad twice at CENTRO. The food (everywhere) is truly AMAZING, and the service is exceptional. CENTRO is casual & modern, in the "centro" courtyard & then the adjacent PRADO has exquisite fine dining & tapas. Its bar & lounge, M BAR stays open until midnight. CRAVE (coffee & gelato shop) sells bottled wine, daily-made pastries, grab & go sandwiches, souvenirs, sundries & much more. I've also been to formal charity events in one of their main ballrooms which is stunning and so was the food presentation! Their JOYA SPA is so unique & special with relaxing beds in the whisper room and an amazing view of the mountains from the pool. The Omni Montelucia is a 5 Star resort!

Yelp
I've lived in Scottsdale my whole life and have many good memories of this place, even before it became the Montelucia (it was renovated and rebranded). It's always been known as a luxury resort experience, and many Phoenicians have staycations here and utilize spa services, etc. So, when I decided to treat myself to a staycation this weekend I was expecting the same services and beautiful amenities I'd always experienced. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Although gorgeously decorated for Christmas, during the day you really can see that it's starting to fall apart a bit, things are showing age and wear and tear, including the rooms. The food and service was great in the restaurant (Cade is awesome!) but otherwise my stay was kind of just... eh. Little details that you would expect at a five-star resort with five star prices were "off," for instance, I asked housekeeping to come back later in the day to clean one morning and they were nice and said fine but just didn't come back. There was a low-level electrical hum coming from behind the TV that sounded really odd, almost like the wall was breathing (I know that sounds strange but it's the best way to describe it). None of this was a big deal and I could have overlooked it, except my stay culminated in a much anticipated spa visit--a VERY expensive spa visit. From the minute I walked upstairs and through the really beautiful hallway that leads to the spa I could tell things were "off." They had run out of the various kinds of stones that you are to select and place next to a crystal to state your intentions before entering, usually a really neat and special experience but it was obvious that no one is paying attention to replenishing the stones so there's just one type of stone instead of the 8 or so that are usually offered. Again, not a big deal, but it's a small touch that I've always looked forward to there. Then, no one met me when I walked through the door to show me to my locker. I had to hunt someone down, which is strange. When I finally got my locker I heard a woman complain that she and her friend were made to share a locker and why could they have their own since they were each paying for a full service? Again, no big deal, just odd for a "luxury" spa. When I went to get a couple of snacks the jars of snacks were very close to being gone and the candied mango I usually look forward to was stuck to the bottom of the jar, old, and smelled a little like alcohol (it had started fermenting), yuck. Then I went to the "whisper" room and groups of girls were laughing hysterically and talking loud, I think it was a wedding party...why go to the quiet room and ruin it for others? The staff did not check in. My massage therapist came to get me a few minutes late which is very unusual for a nice spa. She was really sweet, and I feel bad saying this but I have to honestly say that it was the worst massage I've ever had. The front desk staff gave me 30% off when I complained, which was very nice, but at over $300 (with the discount included) and the rest of my experience I felt like I'd totally wasted my money. Like I'd takenn$300 and burned it. My take is that they are simply too busy and not able to keep up with the quality they've provided in the past. And again, you get what you pay for which is the point here: I paid a LOT for my stay. Very disappointing. The Montelucia is slipping.

Yelp
Attended a fundraiser in which, half of the proceeds are going to St Mary's food shelf to feed humans, in which,I'm glad that I was able to give back. Although flattered, I was a little shocked that I was carded and no one else was upon enty. They were still setting up at start time but that's what I get for arriving early but always on time. I was able to get a table upfront outside... great view of the dance floor and band. Special thanks to the employee who seen me dancing to stay warm as the event was partially outdoors and this employee brung a huge heater over to me.( I wasn't able to get his name sorry Sir) Everyone asked me what I did to get that to happen. I too was surprised Thanks Sir Shout out to my other 2 favorite staff members Jonathan and Ray! Due to it being colder outside,I was able to create my own VIP SECTION inside of the party room area which still allowed for me to have a great view of the band, and in doing so, most of the wait staff kept coming by telling me " that's a good idea, you have a great spot". These 3 Fellas treated me like ROYALTY honestly!!! Give these fellas a raise effective IMMEDIATELY!!! Johnathan often checked up on me making sure that I was hydrated and kept asking if there was anything that he could get me... this dude is a ROCK STAR MANAGER IN THE MAKING! It started getting really crowded inside and out The band did a great job as I danced getting into the tune of things!!! This event was nice! I'm looking forward to it again next year!

Yelp
Short visit to Phx - beautiful resort, pool and amenities. The valet were outstanding! Enjoyed it.

Yelp
My fiancé proposed to me here and the staff was so awesome and accommodating and helped him pull off the perfect surprise. Beautiful location for pictures and the property is huge with multiple cafes and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
I don't know where to begin for this review because it was honestly SHOCKING to experience such a terrible massage at an OMNI resort. My boyfriend and I went for two days and he surprised me with a couples suite massage. We got the spa early so we could "enjoy" the amenities they rave about. When we first checked into our massage early the staff were so new or not comprehensive of how to make sure it was a couples massage my boyfriend booked. Then we were told to go up the stairs to enjoy the amenities. First and foremost for what they CHARGE for the massages let alone the one he booked they should have staff WALK you to the LONG hallways and SHOW you the amenities you are paying for. We wandered to where we thought it was and found a lady standing and I said, hey we are here early and want to lay out by the pool before massage but not sure where to check in for massage once it's our time. She goes oh you can just lay by the pool and your masseuses will come get you once your app time is ready. We had such a great time by the pool relaxing and ordering delicious drinks. The sad part is they only had 1 girl for an entirely Full deck of people on every chair. Once our time was getting close I noticed nobody had come to let us know our lockers or robes to change into for our insanely over priced couples massage...I got up and said to my boyfriend let's sit by the door that "looks" like people would come out to grab their clients. How sad it is to feel this way at a luxury resort spa. Finally at the exact time of our massage they came out and I said are you looking for us? And they said yes and it was the most awkward experience after that. We were led into the couples suite without fresh robes or anything. It was super dark and hard to see and I said is there is a restroom I need to go before bc I was waiting for you guys to let us know like your staff said they would. Once the massages started it was the most awkward massage of my life. The massage tables are FAR apart from eachother in the couples massage suite ...WEIRD. And this is the worst part , massage felt like a student had no idea what she was doing and when I said MORE PRESSURE bc it felt like I was being rubbed and rushed. She did not change pressure and didn't ask ONCE if the pressure was good. My boyfriend and I left terribly DISAPPOINTED in the non OMNI experience. Literally we were shocked bc his massage was just as bad as mine. I would NEVER RECOMMEND the massages or place to stay. Everything is OUTDATED , the rooms etc. We let the staff know once we went downstairs and the manager took care of the situation by discounting which still came out to $680 massages after discount. Do not recommend to anyone. Much other amazing places like the sanctuary to stay at and have amazing masseuses !

Yelp
This resort exceeded all expectations. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept. The food was delicious. The staff members were friendly and attentive. All in all, this stay was nothing short of amazing.

This was an amazing resort with nice amenities, fantastic service and beautiful grounds. Brandon at the Front Desk was especially helpful. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Yelp
We came here for our "babymoon" over a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The resort was relaxing and was quiet while we were here. There are two pools: one for families and one for just adults. We spent time at both and since they weren't many kids when we were there so both were peaceful. I took advantage of Joya Spa and did the "mom-to-be" special which was an amazing way to spend the day. I would recommend a rental car when staying at this property though since we quickly tired of the food options at the resort and they don't do room service for lunch/dinner.

Yelp
Stayed here for a conference and really enjoyed it. The conference rooms and the food they had for the conference was actually really good. Good refreshments. Clean bathrooms. Little chilly with the AC but I guess AZ is plenty hot. The resort itself is lovely with beautiful grounds and buildings. Well maintained from the outside. Lovely spa and restaurants. Stayed in a suite on the ground floor by the casbah pool. Nice lanai and big room. The room itself ok the inside little older than the outside looks. Bathroom was HUGE and liked that the toilet is in its own room. Plenty of hot water. The only thing was that it was too dark inside the room and not enough lighting. And too many different lamps to have to turn on and off and still dark.

Yelp
Pool Day Staycations used to be my favorite way to relax in Scottsdale but it seems like parents of young children are starting to take over the resorts. I wish parents would keep their kids at child friendly venues like the Princess, Phoenician or Great Wolf Lodge. Or ...if all resorts would offer adult only pool options because children splashing and screaming ruins a relaxing pool day. The Omni has an adult pool option but the view is not as nice and the spa pool is fantastic but you need to purchase a day pass for the spa.

Yelp
We had a delicious Thanksgiving Brunch at PRADO. While the food was exceptionally fresh and artfully prepared, it is for a more discriminating palate. This is not your typical Thanksgiving fare and certainly not the best option for a traditional Holiday meal.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem! I stayed here with a girlfriend for a few nights to get away from work and responsibilities and it absolutely delivered the peace and relaxation we wanted - the Oasis pool was so quiet and peaceful, the room was stunning, the staff was so kind and welcoming, the short walk to the restaurant Prado is like a stroll through a gorgeous small Spanish town and the sunset views were the cherry on top. Shout out to Ryan H. for accommodating us and making our stay even better than we could hope for!

Yelp
Ani at the saloon is AMAZING! I have been going to her for years there, and she never fails to leave me walking out of her chair feeling like a supermodel!

Yelp
Walked out of the spa today, after being presented with a two-page, single-spaced, small font "release" that required the customer to waive all potential claims of negligence or gross negligence for injuries incurred from a massage or spa treatment - to include claims for any "disease or infection" received from a treatment. Just imagine what those diseases could be at a spa: MRSA, for starters. I struck those portions out and they refused to provide any service without the full waiver. The kid at the front desk kept saying, "it's just in case you fall while in the spa." I told him that is not correct - or encouraging. They have a high trend duty as a business to provide a safe environment. I underlined the "all claims" phrases - to include all claims for "any disease or infection" language. They then said that if I didn't sign the release and receive the service, they would charge me a cancellation fee. After further discussion, they waived the fee. I've been to this spa several times before and was looking forward to the appointment. This was the first time I looked carefully at the release. I won't return to a business that attempts to side-step its legally mandated requirements to provide a safe, clean environment, by forcing its customers to waive any recourse - any legal accountability - if the they fail to follow important safety laws.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful day spent at the Joya Spa. We had lunch by the pool with beautiful views of Canelback Mountain and the frozen mangos were very refreshing. Followed by an 80 minute deep tissue massage... it was a perfect day. Although, they have raised the prices considerably. I was shocked my massage after tip was around $400 plus. Also I my therapist asked me what flavor oils I preferred like any other place and asked if I would like to add cbd. I said yes and picked the lavender. I had no idea that would tack on an extra $50 and they added a "suggested" $75 tip! I thought that was a bit outrageous but all in all it's a beautiful spa and a great place to relax.

Yelp
I have stayed at the resort several times. This past weekend was the worst experience. From check in to check out it was a mess. Our rooms were not ready, we had to wait an additional 45 minutes (even though we were there at 4:00 p.m., check in time). The rooms were supposed to be adjoining, and they had nothing available for us. There was supposed to be champagne in the room upon arrival as well as birthday cakes for my daughters - and neither were there. We rented a cabana at the pool and the misters were not working. We were told they were "trouble shooting" the problem. Okay fine, we'll wait until the misters are up and running. We were then told the misters were not going to work and they would credit us $100 for the cabana. We only rented it because it was 110 outside and we wanted to cool off. The misters were never working - there was no trouble shooting. The cabana was old, rundown and messy. We had to tell the waitress (and then manager) that the cabana was not up to par and we spent no time in it, so we would gladly pay our bill but the charge for the cabana was unreasonable. They agreed, we paid our bill ($300) and tipped $150. A little while later the waitress chased down my daughter with a different bill and said we failed to leave her a tip. We had to go back down with that incorrect bill and let her know we had in fact tipped her and that she sent my kid with the WRONG invoice back to my room to ASK for additional gratuity. This sort of thing has never happened to me before - and I was completely shocked someone in the hospitality industry would do such a thing. She not only was incorrect but she harassed my child (an adult child, but still) about a tip. We were told this would be "made right" by the manager. Nothing was done. When we checked out it took 45 minutes because the staff is incompetent. I was told a manager would call me - and I haven't heard a thing. Needless today, we will not be back. Rooms are outdated, pool is run down. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful (except for Jerry the bellhop). I've spent thousands of dollars at this resort and it is unfortunate this experience was so awful.

Yelp
We tried this resort out as a staycation during 118 days and we definitely will try again in the fall. The grounds are gorgeous and you forget you're in Phoenix. Rooms are dated but our bellman said they are slowly updating them which is much needed. We had a poolside room and it was so nice walking out our patio door right into the pool. Staff is absolutely wonderful! Great valet service and Chloe at the pool was the shining star during our stay. Thank you for a great few days!

Yelp
I was visiting the property to see if I wanted to book a night here. I decided to go into the spa to see how their spa compares to other fine hotels. We asked if we could get a 5 min tour and didn't receive a straight answer, so I bought a Voluspa candle from the spa and it was the only candle that melted in my car and when I picked it up, the oily melted wax spilt all over my car and wireless charger. I spent hours cleaning it up. I called the spa and spoke with the manager, Jenna, and asked her if she could inform guests in the future that the Voluspa candle melts quickly and spills and her response was "I'm sorry you were not aware of that." She didn't even know what candle I was talking about. I had to spell it out for her. You'd think the manager of the spa would at least know what products they carry and be knowledgeable about them, or at the very least, curious. I wonder where she went to school. I wasn't looking for any money, but I found her response condescending and subtly and indirectly like saying I'm sorry you were too stupid to know the candle melts. I've bought hundreds of candles in my life. None have melted in less than 100 degrees. There was no way for me to know and maybe nobody in that spa knew, but customers would appreciate it if you informed them so what happened to me doesn't happen to others. I'm on vacation and I drove to Arizona with my new car. The wax spilt in my wireless charging hole which is hard to clean up. Wax got all over my clothes and the small items in the back seat. I took the items to my hotel room and cleaned them with soap and water and still couldn't get all the wax out. This ruined my day as I was on my way to see a friend and I was so angry that I had to turn around and start cleaning my car again. If I was the manager, I would've responded differently than Jenna. I won't spend another dollar at the OMNI. It's not what happens that determines one's character, but HOW ONE RESPONDS, and Jenna couldn't have cared less. Perhaps she should seek employment elsewhere since she dismissed me, told me to pour ice on the wax in this Arizona heat which isn't a practical recommendation and said "is there anything else I can help you with?" Which is a polite way of saying "go away." Very unprofessional, dismissive, and condescending manager at the spa.

Yelp
Carlos Jiménez is the reason for this five star review. As we were walking to find the adult pool he was pushing a laundry cart and instead of pointing us to the pool he led us. It's that extra step to make our experience exceptional. Then as we were sitting at our cabana we watched him running to deliver food and pick up towels in 115 degrees ALWAYS with a smile on his face. He is the example for every employee- here is how to make your customers have a memorable experience- sometimes a lost art in the service industry. Congratulations to the management at Omni for recognizing talent - we will return to catch up with Carlos!!

Yelp
My girlfriends and I had a really good time at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia this past weekend. Our overall experience was very very close to 5 star, but there was a few consistent things lacking that just couldn't allow us to give it 5 stars. Service was consistently slow everywhere we went (minus the bar on Saturday night), staffing felt short across the board, and some employees gave off the feeling that they did not want to be there. Casual staff responses of "yep" instead of "you're welcome" did not reflect the setting of the property. Our first day at the pool we were skipped over for service so many times (while people sitting in chairs directly next to us were being helped) that we had to flag down a server from another section just to get drinks. The following day we decided to get a cabana and our experience that day was again slow and inconsistent; we did not feel valued for paying $300 + 22%. There should be dedicated cabana servers who are focused on the guests paying extra for that elevated experience. On check out day we found our keys deactivated at 11:20am when normal check out is 12pm and we were told the night before we could have 2pm, so I had to interrupt our last few moments of relaxation at the pool to meet my friend at the front desk to get a key to access the room. Then when we needed help with our bags we tried calling the bell, front desk and concierge for 20 minutes and never got ahold of anyone. All of these things mentioned aren't dealbreakers prohibiting a return trip, but tweaking a few things here and there could take guests' experiences from 4.5 to 5 star. Overall we still deeply enjoyed our vacation here and hope to return one day. Hopefully these small issues can be resolved with time to bring this beautiful resort to the 5 star level it's so close to achieving.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and great service. However this is coupled with a Very limited menu that super expensive for what you receive. For example ordered the cheese platter that had a few cheese's that were very basic: manchego, blue cheese, cheddar with olives marcona almonds, pickled vegetables marmalade with bread that was not toasted. The sea bass for $45 and it was very small with a few veggies. Granted I had asked to leave off the quinoa. And a Caesar salad with one cherry tomato cut in half. The food was perfectly fine just not exceptional for the price. The place was empty, but we did come at 5:30. There was a wonderful guitar player that made the ambience very special. Honestly we live down the street in Paradise Valley. We want this place to be amazing. The view is so beautiful! But they just need to update their menu with some real innovative food because they have a lots of competition with the restaurants and hotels down the road just a few meters away. For example, El Churro, and Mountain shadows are both competing with this place.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of staying at the Omni in Scottsdale for four days in March, 2022 and were incredibly impressed. First of all, the grounds are immaculately kept. When we rolled in, they were exactly the same as the photos on-line which was incredibly impressive. We got there an hour early (check-in at 4 pm) and had no issues getting to our room early. We did self parking which was 25 dollars a day (no hidden fees), unlimited in and out access. The receptionists also gave us 2 free water bottles and a map at check in. They also honored our request of a king bed room instead of 2 queens. Now for the pools! There are two main pools, one is adult only and the other for everyone. Both had music, free towels, plenty of seating, a hot tub, and staff bringing you water and asking if you wanted any food/drinks. We went every afternoon to the pool and were checked in on by the staff at least 7-8 times each day. Regarding our rooms, they were very clean. The Jacuzzi was amazing and the showers were huge. We had no issues with room service and our room was very well kept. The robes they provide were also very comfortable. All the rooms also have an outdoor space with a couch which was great. We did not get any food at Prado or any of the restaurants but they were very popular with the other hotel guests. We were a big fan of Crave (the cafe shop). Hotel guests included families with kids, business retreats, and couples like us. Overall, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay welcome. The valet staff was SPRINTING to get cars at all hours of the day and night. We requested a microwave to heat up some leftovers which was delivered to our room within 10 min. I got multiple texts a day from the hotel asking if we needed anything. Other points - the Omni is located in the heart of Scottsdale, in a really unbeatable location. We did the Echo canyon hike (2 min drive to the trail head) and Sumomaya (a 7 min drive) from the hotel. Overall, the resort is expensive but well worth the price tag for incredible staff, cleanliness, a great location, and amazing pools. We will be going back!
