My husband and I stayed here for a nice Valentine's weekend. I knew the place was nice based on photos online. The photos do no justice. This hotel is right out of the Gilded Age with a lot of the original art. Please read the history of the hotel and you will get a better understanding and insight on why this hotel is special. It is very obvious that this hotel is loved by the staff that work there as well as the ones who own it. I plan on going back this summer and if any time I am in Pittsburgh it will be here that I stay.

The lobby is absolutely breathtaking, both visually & aromatically. I can’t say enough about it, you have to experience it. Check in process took less than 5 minutes, though they didn’t originally have us in the room type I reserved. It was quickly switched, no problem. The fruit infused water was yummy…we both went back for numerous cups, as well as several bottles of water. Loved the safety feature that requires you to use your room key to have access to the elevators. Very surprised to find out we were put in a corner room (#1036) facing the park. So cool! The curtains were a little tough to maneuver, but we managed. The plaster above the curtains looked a little worse for wear. The room itself was a nice size, however the bathroom had to be the smallest bathroom I’ve ever experienced in a hotel, which made us feel uncomfortable to go inside it. I wish the room had less room to then accommodate a larger bathroom. While the room was very clean, you can tell the tile, carpet, doors, etc all need to be refreshed. The beds & pillows were not at all comfortable so we didn’t really sleep for the 2 nights we were there. We absolutely loved the coffee shop…from the food/drinks, to the decor, to the staff! The Terrace room accommodated a breakfast to go at 7am & it was delicious. We had issues with the pub & the small souvenir shop. While we would’ve ordered the pretzels w/beer cheese, we were stunned at the $22 price. It would help if there was a kid’s menu to order something small & simple. We then looked in the souvenir shop & only found bagged junk food. It would’ve been awesome if there had been a cooler with fresh or frozen options. Overall, we were hoping for a luxurious weekend as this stay was a splurge for us, but it was lacking in several areas & we left disappointed (and sleep deprived). We would definitely visit the lobby & coffee shop again, but I don’t think we’d stay overnight.

I've photographed weddings here and was obsessed with the entire location from the rooms and lobby to the ceremony and reception location. Absolutely unbelievable. With that said we went for their Cupid's corner that was super nicely and festively decorated but the staff was not welcoming. We were third in line but there was an error with making our drinks so we had to get in the back of the long line so left without trying anything. We thought you paid when you got your drink like anywhere else but was told your drink doesn't exist until payment. But they also didn't take money when standing there to wait so sat down until they made them.

This actually may be the first review I’ve ever written, but I felt the need. Booked a “Premiere King” for date night downtown. When we pulled up the valet seemed almost annoyed from me asking if they offered that service. My girlfriend and I stumbled up stairs will all of our luggage passing multiple employees with no offers of assistance. After a wait at the desk we were directed to our room again being passed by multiple baggage holders with no offer of assistance. Rooms are very outdated and not ever CLOSE to worth the price. The Hampton downtown has way nicer rooms. My girlfriend then tried to iron her dress which revealed the iron was rusted, stained, dirty I’m not really sure, but it stained and ruined her new dress. Just simply felt this place didn’t live up to anything they show. Definitely not worth the price.

My husband and I stayed at the Omni to attend the Steelers game on Christmas day. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays, great place for Christmas photos. The food in the Terrace Room was delicious and the service is great, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (when they are under staffed). The room had his and her bathrooms and closets, which was very nice! The only downside was the shower, which was set in a tub and too small. This needs to be renovated into a walk-in shower. Also, one of the toilet seats was broken upon our arrival. However, the staff quickly addressed this matter and replaced the seat once we reported the issue.||||Overall, a great experience.

My family and I love the Omni. Each year, we spend the weekend there and engage in fun city activities. The restaurant is conveniently located to major highways, restaurants, cultural district and public transportation. It’s an elegant historical hotel and we enjoy sitting in the lobby, sipping on some hot chocolate while admiring the intricate architecture. Staff members are professional and friendly. They go above and beyond to make your experience magical.

Google
Positive: Beds were comfortable Negative: Beds were super small for 2 people. Couldn?t find thermostat. Easy to get lost in the hotel - so many different lobbies/levels to choose from in the elevator. Valet was backed up terribly - had to park at a nearby garage - but at least it was only $10!

Excellent staff from time of check in to check out. Perfect location within walking distance to theater district and other restaurants. Beautiful historic hotel with opulent atmosphere. Terrace Room was open for breakfast and were privileged to see the Speakeasy by the Manager which was closed New Year's Day.

Yelp
We stopped by their Blitzens holiday pop up on a Saturday night around 10pm. It was pretty crowded but slowly started to empty over the next couple of hours and we were able to snag a little lounge area for our bit group. The cocktails were decent but the real star was the adorable cups they all came in. They had some snacks but we didn't partake because we just had dinner. The inside is beautifully decorated and was giving Pinkmas which I loved.

Yelp
I really enjoy the Omni in San Francisco, so while visiting Pittsburgh I booked this Omni Hotel. When I walked in, it was quite grand. High ceilings, beautiful lighting fixtures. The front desk staff was very friendly, or at least the gentleman that checked me in.  I was upgraded to a suite, which was very nice. The rooms are a bit dated, but you expect that with an Omni. They were very clean, cozy and comfortable bed. I like the old world feel, so I don't mind its lack of modernes.  Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. After dinner, I returned to the lobby bar - it's called the Terrace Room I believe. There was one bartender. I don't want to exaggerate, but there were roughly 50 people hanging out, some drinking, some not. I quickly noticed the bartender was simply overwhelmed.  I saw a manager walking around, so I asked her why there was only one bartender. Her response was very odd, and I quote, "We know, but we are a union hotel so we can't offer him help unless he asks for it". Now I am realizing everyone is walking on eggshells around this bartender. Customers are not happy, staff isn't happy and apparently there is nothing they can do. He controls it. His pride, the desire to make all the money, trumps the customer. 45 minutes later, I received a drink. Yes, I know both their names, but left them out.  After one drink, I went down to the Speakeasy. It's pretty cool, but good grief, the bartenders there were not friendly at all. I get the feeling the employee morale at this hotel is very low. Very odd vibe.

Yelp
The Candlelight Quartet via Queen- stunning visuals, great sound and sensory surroundings. If you are going there to drink at there stations you get whet you get from most hotels, however, the star of the show is the star of the show. The Music, if you pick what you want, who needs voice or introduction because the music is imbedded in time. Transport your self to a place of sensory brilliance and enjoy the wonders of sight and sound. Planning on another concert for the holidays.

Kyle C.

Yelp
Beautiful building overflowing with history. We were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The lobby was beautifully designed, creating an inviting and upscale atmosphere. Check-in was seamless, and Candace went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was spacious the bed was extremely comfortable. The pop-up bar attached is bustling with energy. Rudolph's this Christmas and Cupid's now are well decorated and fun. The downside are the drinks. Not very good as evident by all the half finished drinks on the tables but that doesn't keep the places from being packed and fun. We look forward to return trips.

Jessica S.

Yelp
They did a Valentines pop up bar and it was awesome! There was a bit of a line to get in but then once we did we were able to get a table. Drinks were strong but still tasty and the snacks we got really hit the spot. Not to mention - they have great ranch!! Super cute decorations & vibe inside.

Olivia O.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous hotel. So much character and such great staff. I love coming here around Christmas gives you the plaza hotel vibes.

Maansi S.

Yelp
Came here for the Valentines pop-up bar, Cupid's Corner, inside Mellon Square Coffee. The drinks, for the price, were slightly disappointing. To pay $14, I would expect some more decoration to complement the drink, but instead, there was just a simple fruit garnish on the drinks ordered by myself and my friends. The place was well decorated and the employees were nice, but I don't think I would come back to this pop-up bar for the drinks.

Julie Anna E.

Yelp
Stunning and luxurious hotel!! So historic. Probably one of my favorite hotels in Pittsburgh. Beautiful. Definitely worth to stay a night or just to visit. They have wonderful bars too and currently have a Christmas pop up bar

Kathryn F.

Yelp
Candlelight concerts - Queen They offered candlelight, string quartet, & Queen. That is exactly what we got. Two of the quartet's English was so heavily accented, I had no idea what they were saying. An hour was more than enough. It left a sour taste in my mouth that the musicians had a tip jar outside the performance area. Two tickets were at least $80 - $176. The hotel's performance bar had Diet Coke for $5 in a glass tumbler, not a bottle. Beer was being sold in a bottle. Water was free by the cup.

Ellen M.

Yelp
Pros: Amber was very efficient and professional when she checked me in Ample meeting spaces and comfortable guest rooms Enjoyed reading about the history of this hotel Liked the light at the base of the nightstand that had a sensor Friendly, efficient staff Great downtown location Cons: Hotel fees are outrageous, but they have a captive audience $45 for valet parking $75 early check in fee Pro tip: Great location if walkability is important. Many restaurants are nearby.

Shannah H.

Yelp
Lovely stay in an older hotel. Updates have been made and we found ample power outlets, good water pressure and comfortable mattresses. I didn't like the pillows but those are a hard thing to get right. We'd definitely stay here again to have a stay in such a historic property. (Ps - every staff member we encountered was fantastic - friendly and helpful.)

Lynn S.

Yelp
Hotel is stunning. Rooms are immaculate. Tavern is fun, bartender great! Bellman are fun and wonderful. The valet staff run by Don are amazing! Wow! However in main lobby and restaurant the bar is too small it's ridiculous and the bartenders are stuffy, not friendly, and slow as Moses. Such a shame.

Ken H.

Yelp
Locations, Locations, Locations. This hotel is probably one of the most affordable hotel in the downtown area because it is so dated so the rates are usually reasonable. I liked the fact that the rooms have many power adaptors but the weirdest thing about this hotel is the bathroom set up, the room lacks of natural lighting and no window sheer which gives an very unease feeling (google this property and you will know why). Decent night of sleep but its one of the few hotels that I have stayed at that I want to have some sort of lights on when I sleep. For hotel this size, I am surprised they did not have any complimentary water nor coffee at the lobby for the guest in the morning. It feels like this property is tired even with all the history in it.

Nancie M.

Yelp
Very pleasant stay. Came in late check in and staff was available for immediate check in. The rooms are cozy clean and quiet with amble heat, robes supplied and bath products that are higher quality. The bar was open until 2am and staff very helpful. All in all a pleasant experience.

Kristen K.

Yelp
I'm sitting in a $300 room that is outdated, uncomfortable, thin walls, a rattling window with a view of other buildings and to top it off..... NO WIFI! Called "ideal services" for help and this broad tells me she'll put me through to WiFi support. I asked where my responsibility is in calling customer service for what I'm assuming I'm paying for, and she says they might have to reboot my rooms WiFi. Ive been ripped off before, but never by a supposed classy place like this. lesson learned. Also, don't go to the gift shop for anything. Walk to the closest convenience store instead.

Molly M.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Definitely hope to return sooner rather than later. We unfortunately arrived too late to be served in the speakeasy but were fortunately able to receive wonderful service in Palm Court for evening drinks and in the Terrace Room for breakfast the following morning.

Bennett F.

Yelp
This review is for the bartenders at the Terrace restaurant. Stopped into the Omni to reminisce about long ago when I used to work there Drinks were awesome and bartenders were wonderful! Stop in and get a cocktail Enjoy!!

Anthony W.

Yelp
I stayed here for five nights to go to Tekko 2024, and the price for just one person at this time was ridiculous. To access the elevator, there's a "security measure" in place in which you need to scan your card inside the elevator and wait for the card scanner to make up its mind, and after it does, thats when you press the button to go to your destination. For the entire time I was staying here, the AC in the room barely worked to regulate the temperature. I decided to doordash a $20 box fan, because the air conditioning was so poor. Also, good luck trying to get any work done online, because 90% of the time, the internet refuses to connect and doesn't work. Although the room itself is nice enough, and the walkability to several locations are primarily good, it is not worth the price it states for just one person, along with the AC and internet problems. The valet parking service is about $42 a night, so make sure to plan that out before your stay. The Mellon Square Parking Garage is just right across the street where you can split that cost in half, although you dont have in and out privileges. Also, make sure to keep a 'do not disturb' door hanger on your door if you come here for a convention, because housekeeping likes to come in unannounced and move your stuff around. They ended up throwing away a piece of my friends cosplay because apparently it didn't look important enough to keep. My overall experience at this hotel was not proficient enough to garner a positive review. If you're coming to this hotel to split the hotel room bill two, three, or four ways, that would be a much better option.

Yelp
We loved our stay at the William Penn. It's elegant, friendly, beautifully appointed, and in a terrific location. (We were in town to see concerts at PPG and it was an easy walk, as were a number of nice restaurants.) Guest rooms are small but extremely comfortable, with attention to details like convenient usb and electric charging ports, in room coffee service, complimentary bottled water, and so forth. Staff were universally cordial and accommodating, offering helpful concierge services and coupons for nearby restaurants, and swift and easy valet parking. The restaurants on site offer a good range of options, well prepared; the weekend brunch in the Terrace Room was a favorite, as were the fish and chips in the Tap Room. The lobby bar stays open until 1 and is a serene and inviting place for a late cocktail. Highly recommended. If we return to Pittsburgh, we'll absolutely return to the William Penn.

Zach S.

Yelp
Outdated room but it was clean. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were TERRIBLE. Like, I think they were the original feather-filled pillows from when the room was last updated in 1956 and they're down to four feathers each. Not being able to log-in to Amazon or Netflix or Max on the TV was disappointing. No, I won't spend $19.99 to watch "Elemental." Hotel lobby was very nice. All the staff was excellent, from the front desk to the bar to the valet to the housekeeping. Speaking of the bar, when I hear "tap room," I think a huge bar with 30 taps. This bar had 6 seats, possibly less. They're connected to a bagel place that is TERRIBLE, and while they'll tell you that they aren't related, they do have a door that goes right into it, so they have to accept some responsibility. You might not own the bagel place, but you associate with them, and they people who charge $2.19 for a brutal, soggy bagel is not who you should associate with. Gym was decent. Small, very clean, and the ellipticals have TVs on them (even if 2 of the 3 didn't work). Very well-stocked with towels. Overall, might stay there again if I was going to another Penguins game because it's a quick walk to the PPG Paints Arena.

Yelp
Nice hotel that skimps on the small things. I stayed here for about a week for a conference, which was in the hotel itself. I stayed in a king size room on the 7th floor. The room itself was a good size. You're not tripping over the dresser in here! I had an armchair, desk, and full dresser in the room plus a good sized closet. The water pressure was good but not high. The temperature was always great no matter when I used it. They also have a gym in site but I never made it. The worst part of the bathroom though was the toilet paper. There is one-ply tp and there is this stuff. I practically had to use 2 rolls while I was there; it was like whispers of tp! The other thing that I didn't like was the lighting in the conference rooms. Very yellow and dull that make you want to sleep even as a presenter. Some of the channels did not work randomly like CNN or their other upper channels. The curtains do block out the light but you have to pin them shut. The staff at check in and throughout the week were nice and friendly, but it was not until I checked out that I found out I could have been getting a free coffee downstairs at the takeaway Cafe. The perks of being a rewards member was never explained to me but I heard a couple talking about it literally in the elevator as I was leaving. I did ask for extra hangers and a microwave. Both were there plus an extra fridge since they already had one there (‍). Other rooms had one fridge and water bottles (which I never got).

Rich M.

Yelp
A really nice place to stay in the hert of Pittsburgh. Rooms are very spacious and the staff is second to none. The Sunday brunch is an excellent way to start your adventure into the 'Burgh. Within walking distance to PNC Park and the Steelers stadium.

Les R.

Yelp
This is absolutely a four star, full service, luxury hotel. Such a nice place and it was fun staying here. The Omni William Penn is a beautiful with ornate ceilings, spacious rooms, a maze of hallways and amazing detail in general...with excellent guest service. Upon arrival I checked into Valet (parking is $38.00 a night) and the bellman took my bags to the front desk where I checked in. After checkin I followed the bellman to the room and was taken back at the size of the room. It was an awesome room (room 1425). I stayed in a double room at the conference rate of $225.00 a night. I was so busy with work I didn't eat or drink at the hotel or check out another other amenities. The hotel does show it's age a bit but it adds to the charm and is overwhelming breathtaking. Overall the 4 days/ 3 nights with valet was a total of $883.50. I would add that the Key Card needed for floor access in elevators. Not needed for "L" if you would happen to lock yourself out. Not my preferred hotel brand, but an excellent stay and service.

Amanda N.

Yelp
Wanted to enjoy a cool hotel room, but that didn't happen due to the air conditioner in the room being broken. We waited and waited for the air conditioner to be fixed. It was uncomfortable sleeping in a hot humid room with no air conditioner. They didn't even give a partial refund. Worst service!

Michael P.

Yelp
Great location and employees are outstanding . Beautiful historic hotel Parking expensive but that is everywhere

Rita P.

Yelp
I flew in to see the color purple. I Stayed here for 2 nights. Room a little smaller than the average hotel room. Friendly staff and awesome customer service experience. Not enough electrical outlets in the room. Overall, a pretty pleasant experience.

Jane S.

Yelp
Book wedding parties on the floors near the venue. Got a room right underneath a wedding. The music shook the entire floor for hours. We were not there for the wedding. Was told multiple times the music would end at 10pm. Called the front desk multiple times. My call was ignored or responded to in less than professional ways. Was told they'd ask the party to turn it down. They turned it up! Absolutely miserable stay. Cannot believe we paid money for this regrettable experience. It is like a hotel nightmare.

Nephthalie E.

Yelp
So this was my first time ever visiting Pittsburg and on my quest to find a hotel Omni kept on popping up. Despite it not really being the type of hotel I'm typically attracted too, I thought I would give something new a try. Given it's rich and long history (which I barely knew anything about honestly lol), I said why not! The lobby is the most magnificent and grand thing I've ever seen. Felt like I was in the home alone movie. When I arrived to valet, i was encouraged to park in the garage right around the corner because it was cheaper. Really appreciated the staffs honesty about that. Check in was smooth and quick. I had limited contact with staff because I was only there for a night but the interactions I did have with staff were friendly. I stayed on the 7th floor during my stay and I immediately noticed the smell of smoke and smelly carpet. You could visibly see the stains which was off putting. The room itself was spacious but very illustrated. I get that they're trying to keep the hotels original charm and elegance but c'mon. At least update the carpet or shower curtains, something. The side tables were a bit dusty and the room was just blah-- boring. Didn't get a chance to see the fitness room or visit the coffee shop but made sure I made it to the speakeasy. Easily one of my favorite parts of my stay. The drinks were STRONG and the ambiance was very romantic. Thoroughly enjoyed my night out/in. I wouldn't stay here again but I'm glad I got to experience this historic place.

Jeff S.

Yelp
Charming. Fantastic location-- walkable to PPG Place, lots of restaurants nearby. Cool speakeasy bar. Room was definitely dated, but comfortable, and came stocked with an awesome bath robe. I could live in that thing.

S J.

Yelp
We went to the Candlelight Concert at this hotel and stayed overnight. Wow, wow, beautiful atmosphere and renovation of this hotel. Old World Charm. If you want to experience a nite out, highly recommend this hotel. Rooms, food, employees serve you beyond what you expect. Can't wait to return.

Michael Q.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel , good drinks at the bar. I ordered a old fashion and it was good. Definitely recommend visiting the bar here

Sherry M.

Yelp
William Penn is a beautiful old hotel. The lobby is striking. Very convenient location staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms need a refresh. The curtains in our room are so dirty they could probably stand on their own. Makes me wonder how clean the rest of the room is.

Sandy R.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing! Needs major updates. NOT handicap friendly at all. all housekeeping does is remake your bed and give fresh towels. Carpets never vacuumed, ice buckets not emptied. Smells old and musty. The lock on the door is the old-fashioned knob on a chain. TV sucks, half the channels do not have volume, or do not come in clearly. No room service except for the lousy breakfast menu. the gentleman that checked me in was very rude and condescending. Would never recommend this to anyone. Even heard other guests complaining about the rooms. Would have been much more comfortable at Holiday Inn.

Alexander P.

Yelp
Home Alone 2 Plaza Hotel vibes! For the Christmas holidays I can't imagine a nicer location in downtown Pittsburgh... Magical Christmas ambiance checklist: - gingerbread replica of hotel upon entry - oversized Christmas tree in lobby - attached room with wet bar for outrageous Kevin-McCallister-esque room service requests - close proximity to ice skating rink and obligatory downtown 'Weihnachtsmarkt' To be serious, I guess I got a deal because (rightfully) no one is traveling due to what later became full-blown COVID-Omicron this holiday season across the nation... Here's to a 2022 with **much** less COVID.

Karley C.

Yelp
This is a beautiful historic hotel! The staff was also incredibly welcoming. Beautiful ball room and lobby area. I was surprised by the modern day additions to the historic rooms (like automatic lights in the closet and by the night stands). Why I would say 3-stars: 1. My card stopped working 3 times and I needed to get it replaced all three times during my 2 night stay. 2. The breakout conference rooms were SO WARM! I'm used to conference rooms being chilly, so I dressed in warm clothes which I regretted. On the other hand, the guest rooms were freezing. 3. The elevator traffic was awful. We were a conference of 700+ people and session start times were significantly delayed due to people trying to get from the 17th floor to the Conference Levels and vice versa. 4. The gym was pretty grimey as well as the stairwells. I saw lots of black rings around the returns for the air. 5. The hotel is incredibly confusing -- not every elevator goes to every floor you need to access. It was quite "maze-like". Tip: Some of the main conference rooms are on the 17th floor. I would have NEVER guessed that floor!

Michael M.

Yelp
Updating my review. The room, while on the pricier side, was gorgeous and the place seems like a gem of downtown Pittsburgh. We'll be back!

April S.

Yelp
This was my second Christmas staying in this hotel. After last year, I vowed I would never stay anywhere else in Pittsburgh again. I checked in on December 23rd and within 15 minutes of arriving to my room, there was a lovely handwritten Christmas card under my door, telling me to enjoy my stay. I find the "dated" comments from other reviewers to be downright comical. What an odd thing to be concerned about when the rooms are so CLEAN (!!!) and the front desk/valet/bellmen treat you like royalty. The hotel is beautiful. Water pressure/temperature is amazing. I'm even impressed by the lighting in the room. (Why is it so dim everywhere these days??? I like light!) 12 elevators ensure that you'll never have to wait long to get to your room. Easily 5 out of 5 stars. (I'm a bit embarrassed it took me over a year to post this, but better late than never, I suppose!)

Tim S.

Yelp
Turn back the clock with this historic landmark. Grand entrance with ornamental sconces and draperies. Room was clean and comfortable. The service was very good. Several small restaurants/ bars and a coffee shop. This place is pricey. $340 Saturday night inclusive of taxes. $5 black coffee. The killer was $29.50 glass of Meomi Pinot! If was 9 oz, but again I ordered it.

Maliyka M.

Yelp
I just want you all you know that this "upscale" hotel as it was categorized to me by a front desk attendant is in the middle of the city and surrounded by a lot of shenanigans. It is so upscale but outdated. The toilets are so low. The shower heads are not adjustable. The water pressure was so hard and could not be fixed. They came and cleaned the room but didn't vaccum. The same piece of tissue was in my floor from the time I checked in until check outI would go back to Pittsburg but probably wouldn't stay here.

Pat L.

Yelp
Was there on Easter for the buffet. Had a large group and the buffet was not very good! And especially at $75 a person. Food was very bland. No flavor! Ham was dry. Lamb had flavor! Side dishes were nothing special, same as any other restaurant. The smoked salmon, lobster bisque and desserts were the tastiest! Would not recommend! Very disappointing for such a prominent hotel in Pittsburgh.

Brogan M.

Yelp
It's never a bad idea stopping into the first hotel in Pittbsurgh for a moment where you feel like you are making American history just by showing up. Highly recommend a classic cocktail and appetizer to share. Take a friend and enjoy the cultural scenes french colonial american architecture. Cheers!

Tyron C.

Yelp
This hotel used to cater to a lot of the older elites, from former Presidents to Heads of States and movie stars. Awesome location. Rooms could use a little bit of an upgrade.

John G.

Yelp
my wife came down with covid and I tried to reschedule, take credit or pay a moderate penalty if I had too, they billed me 349.59 penalty for a cancel of a two-night stay that was a total bill of 560.00. they were uncompromising and implied use t or pay. So, our options are waste 350.00 or come sick and risk exposing others what a rip off.

Kristen H.

Yelp
Very good experience. This luxury hotel was delightful to visit. Located in a very accessible and walking-friendly area of Pittsburgh. Small dog friendly (25 lbs or less) as well, we saw a lot of dogs on our weekend there. Very friendly employees. The hotel is huge, lots of rooms. Our room featured a bathtub with a wide side shelf for all your shower items. The bathroom also has a lighted magnifying mirror (thank you Omni!) and a comfy robe. Huge walk in lighted closet. The only thing it lacked was good lighting in the bedroom. The hotel was generally rather dark, even in the lounge/bar. Our room needed another table lamp by the tv. Hotel toiletries are by NEST. Keurig and coffee offered in room along with two bottled waters. $140 per night.

Audrey S.

Yelp
mantell and tyrell doormen were amazing on our way out from the speakeasy which was also amazing. love this place 10/10

Tiffany R.

Yelp
BYOP. I'm going to start with the good so not to put people off. The hotel is gorgeous, the architecture amazing, the staff friendly and attentive. The water pressure was in one word, outstanding. We will be back for that alone, if you are a female that needs to wash your hair finding adequate water pressure in hotels can be difficult . We went to the bar on the first floor, both our drinks were average. I started this with BYOP because the pillows are horrendous. Feather pillows that were as flat as just laying on the mattress. The restrooms on the main level need a key. We had checked out and returned our keys and the lobby was very busy and I found it impossible to get a new key to use the facilities while waiting for our ride to the airport. The location is great although in the city and you do hear the trucks making early morning deliveries. The walls in the rooms are thin so be prepared to bring ear plugs or sleep through it. Overall we had a great time and will be back with pillows in tow.

Yelp
Built in 1916, this grand old dame is coming back to life after more than a year of a pandemic closure. She is spectacular with her old world charm, opulence, and Pittsburgh history. The room was spacious, had motion sensitive nightstands that lit up your path as your feet touched the floor, felt like we were sleeping on a cloud, typical amenities but you'll need to request a microwave if that's your jam. Only Palm Court is open but there is a wide range of hours to allow for takeout; replacing the not yet restored room service. Although it was still a skeletal staff, they were top notch in every capacity and we wanted for nothing. Truly a credit to their professionalism and obvious love for the hotel. There is a very convenient parking garage across the street, plenty of sights within walking distance, keyed security in elevators, and let's not forget the chandeliers and other architectural details. If you are looking for new and shiny, look up the Kimpton... but truly, you don't know what you'd be missing! What are you waiting for??

Yelp
Had brunch at the Terrance room looking forward to their terrific eggs benedict. Really disappointed this time. I went as a solo diner and the wait was 50 minutes, eggs very undercooked and meal was cold, I didn't complain because nobody asked me how everything was so i left paid the bill and did not leave a tip, but instead a note praying for forgiveness for he did not know what he did. I've always had a great breakfast in the past, but now looking forward to trying other places.

Yelp
History wasn't enough to make me thrilled with this hotel. Positives: comfy beds, nice toiletries, great wings at the Tap Room, and a truly magnificent lobby. Negatives: really bad experience the first two days trying to get our room cleaned and fresh towels, along with sub-par restaurant choices and hours. I'm wondering how a hotel that nice has such limited dining choices. We'll return to Pittsburgh, but not to this hotel.
