This hotel is an absolute scam. The worst experience I had throughout the many years of travelling.
On our check out day, we woke up a little later and we were rushing to finish packing and there comes a door bell at around 11am, I’m expecting the front desk to come inform us to check out and I apologized to her and mention that we will be down shortly.
When we went down around 11:30am and returned our keys, we were told that we have to pay 5,500 yen for late checkout. We apologized and was thinking that they could probably waive this off because it should still be within the grace period plus which hotel charges late check out fees for 30 minutes late. Will understand if we overslept and return the key that would disrupt the next guest’s check in time.
The attitude of the front desk wasn’t great, feels more like she can speak English but refuses to, she mentioned rules are rules, please pay up. I told her, if this is rules, why didn’t you mention it to me upon check in if it’s such an important rules. Plus we booked in over Agoda.
There comes her manager Ru Li, which was extremely rude and arrogant. So not helpful and not compassionate towards the guest that has been staying with them for 3 nights straight.
This is a hotel not a train services or flight services. My reasoning is that it didn’t cause disruption to the next check in on a merely 30 mins late check out. If it’s just a vital rules, tell us upon check in.
A hotel experience is suppose to be relaxing and not rushing, plus you don’t compensate us for late check in too? 2,200 yen is not a lot of money but no hotel has ever charged us when we check out late hence it feels really bad.
I will never stay with OMO3 again and will definitely not recommend any services by them.
