Omphalos Restaurant Vegetariano -Vegano

Arequipa has quite a few choices when it comes to vegetarian/vegan food and this gem of a restaurant is situated close to Plaza de Armas. Lovely interiors, wonderful service and delicious vegetarian bowls and desserts that would make you want to return to this restaurant. Happy to recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner.

The food looked very appealing and it tasted good as well. It was a fully vegan and vegetarian menu, which was a nice touch. Overall, the experience was quite enjoyable, though nothing was extraordinary. The flavors were pleasant, the presentation was nice, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was comfortable. A solid choice if you’re looking for a decent plant-based meal!

Honestly being a vegetarian, this place was just what we were looking for. Perfect mix of all the goodness. We came here on a Saturday for the bowls 25 soles each and on Sunday, we tried their Vegan menu which was lovely and fulfilling for just 15 soles (A flower infused drink (Hibiscus), Salad, Soup, you can pick one from their mains (options available) and then a dessert (we had brown rice pudding)). Worth every penny as the quality was amazing! Definitely going back for dinner!

Love the food here especially the carrot cake!!!! We came here twice in 3 days. I got the15 soles set menu the first time and the stuffed pepper the second time. Both were great. The service here is a bit slow. If you have somewhere to be in the afternoon this is not a quick lunch spot.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants we’ve been to, where every item is vegan friendly, but vegetarians can add cheese and every dish is loaded with protein. Their house-made seitan is a must to try, especially in the pesto pasta. I was doing the happy dance after eating here for dinner last night and am back for lunch today!

I'm not a vegetarian but once in a while I visit such a restaurant. So, not being one I thought my empanada con queso was dry. The cookie for dessert, dry as well. Maybe that's just how veggie food is. The quinoa stew was excellent. I thought it was odd that I received my jugo third. I could have really used with the empanada.

Very good and healthy vegetarian menu del dia. We also ate from the main menu another day and really enjoyed salchipapa with mushrooms and added huancaina sauce. The blueberry cheesecake was too gelatinous and didn't have a cream cheese flavour. The chocolate cake was better but there was something a little odd about the taste of the cream, which we've noticed in lots of desserts in Peru and Ecuador. Overall a great place for afforable lunches in Arequipa!

It is nice to find a vegetarian place that is also open in the evening in Arequipa. They have a economic menu with salad, soup, main dish and dessert for 15 soles. The menu is changing every day. We went there two times during our stay. We took 4 different menus and I have to say that the food is okish but not extremly good. The price and service is good though. The restaurant is located also in a cool building with patio.
