Omphalos Restaurant Vegetariano -Vegano

A beautiful cafe that is very accommodating of gluten-free needs. While gluten-free options are not labeled, the staff were so patient with our broken Spanish and double-checked everything to ensure it was safe for us. I'm so grateful for their kindness, and we enjoyed all of the dishes immensely.

I don't usually eat specifically vegetarian or vegan food so I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered the crunchy bowl and was highly impressed. Crunchy cauliflower, delicious quinoa stew, fried potatoe balls with cheese and some carrot /pea salad mixed in. Great flavors and nice sized portion. Photo isn't the greatest and was taken halfway through my meal. Highly recommend this place!

This is the best vegetarian restaurant in Arequipa, a stone’s throw away from the main plaza. There is a menu del dia and non-vegetarians will enjoy the food here very much too! Many protein options created in a fresh and creative way. The combos are also great! The courtyard is gorgeous and you will likely see yourself returning again and again!

We stumbled upon this place after seeing the sign for vegan! We always love to support vegan places and we weren’t ready for a big meal so we were eyeing the menu up for later. Now, I’ve seen some not great reviews regarding the food but I would like to say that the cake we had was DELICIOUS! Not dry at all which is always my worry with chocolate cake, creamy and tasty. I haven’t had a vegan dessert in Peru so this was great! The layout of the cafe is lovely and we enjoyed a coffee too. For a sit down out the sun with a drink and a cake you can’t go wrong!!

Rare veggie restaurant in Arequipa. The atmosphere is really nice since it's located in one of these white stone buildings. Had a salchipapa combo which offered a starter, salchipapa (the sausages were made with seitan) and a dessert for 22 soles which I found quite fair for the area. The place doesn't offer revolutionary dishes but it is still a great option for vegans.

Very good vegan place. This is the cheapest food I ever had and it was also delicious. To top it off the service was fast and good. 4 course meal for 13 soles is amazing. If it was up to me, I would eat here all the time. I had mixed salad, quinoa soup, chickpea stew with olive rice and a purple corn pudding.

Very tasty vegetarian food! I usually eat everything but it was so nice to get a good quality vegetarian meal for a change. There also was a little salad up front, a dessert and delicious unsweetened drink -all for just 13 soles, with very friendly service in a pretty restaurant. I highly recommend the place!

A good vegetarian restaurant. We tried some fake meat stuff and they were good. But lacking extra creativity and the seasoning could be more fascinating. But all in all, definitely for vegans - it's great. The orange juice was pretty thin (dilluted in water) and the sparkling water came totally in room temperature (they seem to not have it cold in many places in Peru). The service was very much trying and nice.
