OMZ is a very well run hotel. We stayed at Las Brisas which is a two bedroom cabin. It was perfect for our family of 4. The house is very cool looking. The inside needs a refresh but the beds are VERY comfortable. The hot water was plentiful and the kitchen has everything you need. They come and add wood to the hot tub to keep it very warm and makes it very simple. They also have great wood for the wood stove to keep us warm on the colder August nights we stayed. The view off the deck is simply incredible. And all of the giant windows open to really connect you with the ocean. The sunsets are breathtaking. At night we had amazing stars to sit and watch listening to the ocean waves below. Whenever we had something for the front desk, we would send a WhatsApp message and they would respond very quickly and take care of it. They are very attentive and it was much appreciated! FYI- there is no WiFi in the cabin if you need that. We could not have been happier with the stay. Thank you OMZ!!

I visited from NYC. Their tennis pro ridiculed me because I wore running tights—instead of tennis shorts—on a cold winter day. He said that I shouldn’t dress like a ballerina (I am a 41 y/o man) and that he was offended by my gear. When I asked him to stop, he doubled down. And when I complained to the hotel, they simply said that he’s an external worker (though they recommended him and he lives in the facilities). They didn’t even tell him off. Avoid this place.

We stayed here for a long weekend, paying about CLP 90,000 (USD 135) per night and it was totally worth it.||||We stayed in a room in the first floor (No. 2). Although I think they are all pretty much the same in terms of view, staying in the first floor was actually nice. ||||The view to the ocean is as spectacular as they could promise or you could imagine. Waking up with the sound of the waves certainly makes for a relaxing experience. ||||The hotel's restaurant is quite nice. Although they do not seem to have room service, you have the option of buying drinks or something to eat and bring it to your room (30 seconds walking).||||The staff is helpful and the hotel is flexible. For work I had to stayed past the check out time and they were kind enough as to allow me to do it. Further, the lent me mobile 4G device as I needed to connect to the internet and the wifi signal in the room is quite poor. Great job on their end. ||||I would definitively recommend this hotel, both to stay and also to eat at.

The location is amazing, a relaxed and nature love ambiance. The hotel has great facilities but the service was not to the hotel's level||When received by the hotel, nobody explained the hotels facilities, activities and restaurant hours. Bad first impression. ||Great spa installation but I tried to schedule a massage and it was impossible. The front desk had no idea if the spa would open and did not offer to find out.||Great location, view but service not to the expected level.

Matanzas is a great location. OMZ is a very very good hotel with excelent rooms that rival a 4 or even 5 star. The beds for example are top quality. Overall is deserves what all other comentaries are saying. However I have 3 negative points that are a serious drawback:||1) the "technical" building of the hotel dumps its waste water from laundry right into a small ditch that goes into a small river which ends in the ocean. There is no sewer system. It may be a common practice in Matanzas, maybe other hotels do the same, but it is nevertheless shocking for a developped country like Chile. Having this in mind the contribution of the hotel to sustainable tourism by generously offering you to change your towel only on request is a real joke.||2) the place almost shuts downs on Mondays. Their restaurant closes, and so does their horse riding service. It becomes dead quiet, which is great if you come to rest but if you hoped to experiment their food and outdoor activities, you'll have to come back another day.||3) Poor coffee. The rooms are pricey, even very expensive by latin american standard. For this price it is just not accepatable to be served nescafe at the breakfast table and no coffee option inside the room. The receptionist told us the "machine was under repair"....||||So overall a very beautiful, charming and confortable place, but with a few things to work on to make it worth its price.

I went to OMZ for 3 days for a aniversary, and the experience was really fantastic. Good staff, clean hotel and great food restaurant (Marvento). Little details such as setting a table where we wanted, no boring delays on the check-out, a very relaxed but pro-experience. I check with them by mail the wine list of the restaurant and even could bring my own selection to the restaurant. Extra points for that! Not to forget you have the whole beach in front of you all time. In addtion they coordinate for us a hot tube at other hotel (they were full capacity) and horse back ridding. This is a really small, wonderful and calm place full of nature. Must go!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in March 2016, visiting friends who live in the area. Upon check-in, the woman who worked at the reception made it clear that we were disturbing her with our arrival, and offered zero information about the hotel. I had to ask over the next couple days about wifi (it did not work during our stay), and the property (is that a spa I see? how would I schedule a treatment? answer - you can't; what are the restaurant hours, and is breakfast included? answer - the restaurant is closed, and you cannot eat there during your stay). The condo we stayed in - Pajaros - was lovely, clean, 2 story cottage with gorgeous beach views and a huge comfortable bed. However, I would not stay there again due to the terrible service and the inability to use any of the facilities. Stay at Surazo instead!
