Ugh, I really dislike leaving neg reviews but two months later I am still a bit irked about my experience here and unfortunately I live in Tribeca and the Hamptons so I see this spot all the time. To be clear though, this is a review for the Sag Harbor location. I won't be overly long and verbose, but essentially I went in with the typical end of summer skin that needed a fresh rehab. The facial cost was $300, which is even significantly more than the $170 I pay at luxe spot Biologique Recherche in Paris and where I always have amazing and lasting results. While the environment was cozy in its bohemian way (hence the extra star) I felt the facial was lackluster. You keep the majority of your clothes on instead of a robe, (but as I recall there is the choice to remove your top and replace with a small robe) so it's not-over-the-top luxury given the cost. From there on I felt most of the time was spent cleaning my face interspersed with conversation even though I didn't have any makeup on and had looked forward to zoning out. There was a lot of prep and massaging, but virtually zero extraction (I think the esthetician poked a few spots on my face under a minute when usually I am used to this cleaning element being a fairly significant chunk of an hour appt. - in this case a $300 hour). Then the "oxygen" part of my oxygen facial was introduced which was a machine that had the sensation of a buzzer (no problem there, just explaining the feeling of it). I thought maybe this would be the miracle worker, but not really. Honestly when I left I didn't see any glow, and my skin looked. exactly. the. same. My husband even noted that he didn't see any difference and usually he'll let me know if a treatment looks great. I was really bummed out there was literally no discernible difference - not even a 24 hour glow - which I would have happily taken give the price, to make me feel that I hadn't totally wasted my money. While the cost didn't put me out, it was more the principle of wanting to get what you pay for, if that makes sense. I would happily continue to pay that price had the results been fantastic, or even standard. But now I just have a sad disappointing feeling every time I pass either location in the Hamptons or Tribeca.
