One Farrer Hotel & Spa

"How did it strike you on arrival? The vast and slightly sparse reception feels slightly space-age, with its pod-like chairs, chrome accents and coloured ceiling lighting in an elliptical pattern reminiscent of, um, corn circles. The effect is strangely soothing though. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Baby boomer couples, medical tourists (there's a private hospital in the same building), business travelers. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Urban Suite - spacious enough that the massive 65-inch TV didn't look out of place. Save for a couple of smallish pieces of art, the walls were bare, the interiors were clutter-free and everything was soothing grey and cream. Ommmmmmm. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?Got a fantastic night's sleep, mattress was firm and sheets were Frette. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? The Herman Miller chair in the work corner was a classy touch. Mini-bar was complimentary but had the ubiquitous selection of potato chips, chocolate bar etc. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. The water pressure and temperature stability could be better, but the bathroom was spacious and the products included everything from mouthwash to luxurious Natura Bisse bath toiletries. Great anti-fog mirrors! Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Fast and free. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.Free use of some the on-site spa's facilities. 165-foot-long pool. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?Memorable: A fab sleep and being walking distance from the bustling Little India area and all its authentic restaurants. Bottom line: worth it, and why? What you get here is a plush experience at a decent price in expensive Singapore. A smart pick if you don't want to fork out for a room in the Orchard, City Hall and Marina Bay areas." - Audrey Phoon

We had a very pleasant stay at One Farrer Hotel, Singapore, as a family. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with plenty of space for us. Breakfast and other meals were very good, with a nice variety and good quality. What really stood out was the staff – everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, especially when we needed assistance as a family. The hotel is well located and easy to get around from. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we would happily return.

One Farrer Hotel – Excellent stay, one unfortunate experience I had an overall excellent and very comfortable stay at One Farrer Hotel. The property is beautiful, modern, and very well-equipped, with beautiful rooms that have everything one needs for a pleasant stay. We had booked three rooms for five days, amounting to a total of 15 room-nights A major advantage is its location in Little India—with easy access to a wide variety of Indian restaurants. The hotel is extremely well connected, being close to the MRT and bus services. Most major attractions are reachable within 30 minutes by taxi or within an hour by public transport, making sightseeing very convenient. The hotel staff, overall, are polite, courteous, and welcoming, and housekeeping and room services were excellent throughout our stay. It is worth mentioning that despite our long booking, the hotel could not accommodate an early check-in, which we accepted without complaint since it was a holiday season. However, it was completely uncalled for to be accused on the last day of not vacating the room by 12 noon. We were late by 30. min to vacate one room. The other was vacated. Unfortunately, this accusation came from a receptionist named Miss Devi, who was rude, unwelcoming, and accusatory, leaving a sour taste at the very end of an otherwise pleasant stay. This interaction was completely out of character compared to the otherwise high service standards of the hotel. ⚠️ Strong advice to future guests: Please avoid dealing with Miss Devi at the reception and request another staff member if needed. Despite this isolated incident, I would still say this was an excellent stay, and I truly enjoyed my time at the hotel. With more consistent front-desk professionalism, this property would be close to perfect.

Excellent location in the heart of little India with a hospital and MRT station next door. The Mint rooms are very basic, not at all comparable to the quality of 5* hotels in neighbouring countries and the 'sofa bed' is a mini mattress wedged between two walls so only suitable for smaller people. We had a couple of issues with cleanliness when checking in but the management acted promptly and helpfully to resolve this and we ended up moving to a different room which was much more akin of a 5* establishment with huge bathroom and bedroom. The concierge is wonderfully helpful so we had a great stay.

My wife and I would like to give a very special shoutout to Eddie Ooi, Catering & Events Assistant Director at One Farrer Hotel. We first met Eddie at a wedding fair back in August 2024, and from that very first moment, he left an unforgettable impression. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care instantly made us feel that One Farrer was the perfect place for our wedding banquet and we were absolutely right! Our wedding took place on 30th November 2025, and over the 1.5 years of preparation, Eddie’s service has been nothing short of extraordinary. He is fast, responsive, incredibly professional, full of brilliant ideas, and somehow always smiling no matter how challenging a request might be. No question, problem, or last-minute idea was ever too much for him, he made the entire wedding journey smooth, joyful, and truly unforgettable. Even after the wedding, Eddie continues to go above and beyond, providing exceptional hospitality whenever we stay at the hotel. He genuinely serves with his heart, and it shows in every interaction. Eddie deserves every bit of recognition for his dedication and excellence. If we could, we would give him a huge bonus and a well-deserved promotion! Anyone planning a wedding would be incredibly lucky to have Eddie by their side. He is simply outstanding, and we cannot thank him enough.

One Farrer Hotel presents an interesting paradox: a hotel that excels in its core product—the rooms—but falters significantly in guest-facing hospitality areas, specifically the lobby and entrance experience. The Good: Exceptional Rooms and Comfort: * Room Quality (Guest Experience): From my experience booking rooms for guests, the accommodations at One Farrer are consistently excellent. The rooms are generally well-appointed, spacious, and comfortable, providing a great stay for visitors. This is the primary reason I continue to book here. * Cleanliness and Amenities: The facilities within the rooms, including cleanliness and in-room amenities, meet a high standard, contributing to a positive overall in-room experience. The Bad: The Lobby and Waiting Experience: The most glaring issue is the handling of non-staying guests or those simply waiting for arriving/departing guests, particularly in the lobby and entrance area. * Unwelcoming Lobby Environment: While waiting for my arriving guests, the experience was disappointing. Despite the waiting area being empty or underutilized, I was repeatedly asked to move or was "chased off" from the front waiting area. * Lack of Basic Hospitality: A hotel lobby should be a welcoming point for all guests and their hosts. The staff's overly rigid enforcement of rules regarding where one can wait, even when space is ample, feels unwelcoming and significantly detracts from the hotel's otherwise high standard. It creates an atmosphere that prioritizes strictness over basic courtesy and guest comfort. Verdict: One Farrer Hotel is a solid choice if your priority is a comfortable, high-quality room for your guests. The actual stay experience inside the guest rooms is commendable. However, if you, as the person hosting or meeting a guest, anticipate spending time in the common areas, be prepared for a frustrating and unwelcoming lobby/entrance experience. The hotel needs to seriously review its ground-floor hospitality policies to ensure all guests and their visitors feel respected and comfortable, especially when the waiting areas are not crowded.

I recently held my wedding lunch banquet at One Farrer Hotel, and I can’t wait to share how amazing the whole experience was. Our wedding coordinator Harry has been incredibly responsive and helpful since our first meeting last year. While many hotels might not entertain couples too early, Harry was patient, fast in replying, and always eager to help. From décor, flowers, food service, to room arrangements, he went the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly. Su Wan, our banquet manager, was another key person who made our day perfect. She guided us through every detail, even down to positioning chairs so we could have the best view during our same-day edit video. Her attention to detail made everything seamless. At the concierge, Nasan greeted us with a smile every time, even when we came repeatedly to store our wedding items. His professionalism and assurance gave us full confidence that everything would reach where it needed to be — and it did. Special mention to Malek from the Sky Lounge, who went out of his way to reopen the buffet after hours for us. That gesture really touched us. One Farrer is not just a beautiful venue but a place filled with amazing people who genuinely care. Highly recommended for weddings, events, or even a staycation.

I went here for a conference (ICASM 2025) and did not stay here. The ballrooms for the lecture were huge, but the main lobby where all the food and stands reside could be bigger, it was quite packed in there during break time. The food was delicious and had a lot of variety. The outdoor space was spacious. Overall had a nice experience!

I recently stayed at One Farrer Hotel Singapore. The room sizes are small; the hospitality was disappointing. There was no one available to assist with pick-up or drop-off of luggage, and it seemed like the staff was very few, which affected the overall service quality. For a hotel of this level, I expected better support and responsiveness. Also, no water bottles in the room, the reason they gave is Tap water is very pure which is unacceptable. Overall average. Pricing is high. However, the location is excellent nearby Indian restaurants and little India. And very convenient, and the swimming pool is great with a nice atmosphere. Good facilities, but the service really needs improvement.
