"Nestled among a cute block of shops in Narrowsburg, One Grand Books is an impeccably curated store with a selection that isn’t exhausting, making it easy for us to step in and find something we loved—perhaps to read later in the sauna at Kenoza Hall." - Coolstuff Team

I love this bookstore so much, I come up from the city occasionally and every time I’ve been in I have gotten some amazing books – incredible curation here

Drove over an hour, it’s 3:20p on a Monday and the door is locked but google maps says it’s open till 4p. :( UPDATE: google hours were not updated and they responded so kindly to my review which means so much, I appreciate yall and hope to come visit in the future next time I’m at the pole studio!

In a world of instant gratification, this store is a little jewel of thoughtfully curated pieces. No, it’s not amazon with its next day shipping and choices made based on an algorithm. It’s a place where you stop by to linger and page through their selection until you find a book that speaks to you at that moment (I always found something of interest with each visit). Sometimes, if you’re lucky, there’s also tea and cake 😉. Glad to have this place nearby.

Visited this local treasure during a trip from Chicago & it immediately became my favorite book store this side of Shakespeare and Company. Thoroughly enjoying my copy of "the Quiet American" from the Mayor Pete curation.

My go-to bookstore. Not many left. The owner and curator, Aaron, is incredibly knowledgeable overall. It’s a must stop for my guests who usually walk out with an arm full.

I ordered a book by Robert F Kennedy Jr. The owner wrote it down and said he'd call when it came in. Three weeks went by. No call. I went back to the store. The owner wrote the book title again, took my name and number- again, and said he'd call when it came in. No call-again.The owner gave no apology and no explanation for why he didnt provide the book when I revisited the store. This store owners customer service is very poor. The owner, by his own admission orders other books for other patrons.

I love finding places in small towns where you almost ask “how did this get here” and then forever remember the place by that one little gem of a store. This book store is one of those places. The owner came up with an amazing way to curate a selection of books and keep it interesting by using his background in journalism. It’s definitely worth stopping in, you won’t regret it!

I can only say wonderful, amazing things about Aaron and One Grand Books. I found One Grand because I was anxious to get my hands on some new books after finishing the one I’d brought to our cabin vacation in Callicoon, needing to escape NYC during the pandemic. I had originally called Aaron to see if he had some of the titles I was looking for, but I was a bit too premature for his Penguin order that he was placing to arrive next week. After being so patient and kind with me over the phone, searching for each title I had asked for, we found one, but he didn’t stop there! I asked Aaron if he could actually put aside some recommendations he had, and when arriving to the store, he went on a deep dive of some of the ones he thought I’d love based on my requests from earlier - a true gem of a person. I walked away with four books total! I’d never received such customer service like that, and it was so fun to discuss books with a fellow bookworm. If you need a book or just want some lovely conversation (also extremely appreciated that he was masked and conscious of the pandemic and the required safety needs), stop by One Grand Books!

Yelp
The owner of the shop was very helpful and if you desired a certain book, he'd help you order it. Stay a while to enjoy their children's paperback book selection, as well as just about anything you're seeking! Definitely a place, I'm glad I spent time, worthwhile money and will be back!

Yelp
Best concept for a bookstore, ever. You may never leave. Aaron doesn't help either, as he is a scintillating conversationalist. Also, the view!

Yelp
I stepped into the bookstore for a minute to look at a book in the window and 20 minutes later was still talking about favorite books and looking at the fun selections curated by a variety of different people. That sounds normal for a big bookstore, but this place is the size of a postage stamp! What a lovely surprise.
