My first experience was unsatisfactory!
Upon arriving at the studio, I met the receptionist, though she did not introduce herself. When she began speaking to me, I informed her that I am Deaf. She then asked me if I understood English, which was unnecessary and offensive, as I had already communicated that I am Deaf and showed text on my mobile phone using English language.
She led me to the changing room but told me not to bring my mobile phone, which I normally rely on for communication via text. I followed her instructions and left my phone in a small locker. After changing, she directed me to sit in the lounge, but no further instructions were provided. I had no idea when or where the class would start, and there was no one around to ask for help.
I waited until 9:25 AM, growing increasingly anxious due to the lack of communication and support. With no staff members or clear instructions around, I decided to leave the studio as I no longer felt comfortable staying.
This experience was far from Deaf-friendly. Despite reaching out afterward to explain the situation, I have not received any response.
