I highly recommend One Love Hostel! The atmosphere was peaceful and the decor was beautiful. The location was also perfect, 10 min walk to all the restaurants and the beach . One of the highlights of my stay was the frequent visits from friendly squirrels and cats - it was a lovely touch. Overall, a great experience!

Amazing place, a true oasis. Comfortable rooms, beautiful terrace and garden, it s touching how comfortable the place is with all it's simplicity. No AC in rooms but they have fans, which I never turned on cause the place stayed cool even on hot days. The beach is in 5 mins walk, most restaurants of la Punta are 10-15 mins walk. It's also conviently close to the main road, maybe 10 mins away, so if you want to explore the coast, it's easy to get taxi or public transport from there.

We are a couple and stayed for 3 nights, the host is very kind and takes a lot of time to explain and answer questions and gives the best recommendations! The location is perfect, on the corner of the sea and beach and very close to the street with all the restaurants etc. We had the Bob Marley room which was directly at the pool! Also the upper level lounge is so good with the hammocks and sea view! If we ever return here, we will definitely come again! Thankyou for the perfect stay! By the way there is no warm water, but believe us, you are not gonna need it since it’s very warm outside and the water isn’t very cold.

The apartment in the bungalow was nice, equipped with a fridge and a double bed, with enough space to store luggage. The bathroom had only cold water, but it wasn’t freezing, and in warm weather, it was actually refreshing—nothing to complain about. We felt safe there; the area is secured and surrounded by jungle. You can see signs that the place is not brand new anymore, but it’s still good. It’s just a short walk to the beach and the main area with restaurants, shops, and rental services. The owner showed us everything and marked key locations on the map for our stay. Overall, it was a pleasant accommodation.

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Easy access to the beach and just a short walk to the main buzzy street of La Punta. The atmosphere is so chill and the setting is beautiful - peaceful terrace, gorgeous plants and comfortable clean rooms. Sheets were changed regularly by the staff and the owner Nico went above and beyond to ensure our stay was incredible. Thanks for everything Nico, we will be back 💚

Overall okayish place - Rooms can get very hot during the night. Owner was a bit strange & almost offensive when we checked in e.g., We: „Can we get a second blanked“; Him: „No this is a hostel and not a hotel“. Few seconds later: „We are the best Hostel here.“ - For me just a bit strange overall.

What a lovely place to stay - amazing staff, always with a smile on their face and such a good vibe! Delicious food in the restaurant which made it easy to have breakfast or dinner. Very easy to get cabs around (they have a taxi radio to call one for you and they turn up in minutes). Beautiful setting, full of lush vegetation. Yoga on the upper floor overlooking the ocean was absolutely gorgeous. Thanks y’all

Yelp
For a hostel, this is a close as you can get to paradise. The walk at night - not advisable. During the day - yes, do the walk and find yourself wandering between small streets, on the beach and arriving at a destination well sought for. For a hostel this is a GREAT one. Dinner, (the fish is as fresh as you could want it) breakfast (a work of art) and probably lunch (didn't get to that one) but trust me, dinner and breakfast? - WELL WELL WELL past being delicious. The tropical enterior, doesn't do the outside justice and I easily foumd myself mesmerized by the recording of the local surfing competition on the television as you get a great meal. You will easily fall in love with One Love at Puerto Escondido.

Yelp
What a find! My cousin (local) brought us to this gem of a restaurant/hostel. The place is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip. Nico (owner?) was very gracious Zander helpful in his recommendations, from main dishes to dessert. He even suggested a locally-made chocolate mezcal that wasn't bad (though I prefer my mezcal pure). The dorado carpaccio, grilled fish, and salad with mangoes and raw beets were all perfectly balanced in flavor and presentation as well as healthy portions. My son had creme brûlée that had small pieces of coconut and not too sweet. And the bill, even with drinks and coffee came to less than $50 (US @ $16 pesos) for four of us; most reasonable. Can't go wrong and look forward to going again on my next trip to Puerto.

Yelp
Attractive restaurant and bar that is part of a small, upscale hostel. The fish was fresh and expertly prepared. Pasta dishes with classic rock names like "Stairway to Heaven" showed the French owner's careful attention to taste and detail. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the combinations of flavors pleased the palate. I enjoyed a pasta dish with fresh local fish. They have pizza too, gourmet combinations of ingredients that can be altered to taste without complaint from the attentive servers. The drinks were delicious, from the perfect margaritas to more exotic concoctions. The prices were more than fair: eight of us are heartily and drank two or three drinks each for $130 (dollars) including a tip of almost 20%. You can dine there for a lot less if you don't keep ordering drinks like we did. The hostel is just up the hill from the south end of Zicatela beach, on Avienda Tamaulipas. Take a nice long walk there at sunset, but definitely let them call you a taxi to go back to your hotel.
