One Manalo Place

Should be zero!!! This hotel is still being advertised online and when we arrived in Puerto Princessa after booking on Expedia, the hotel security said the resort has been closed for 2 years!!! DO NOT BOOK STAY HERE...IT'S A SCAM. Will settle this once we are back home!!!

BEWARE this is a scam! This hotel does not exist, despite being listed on Expedia and other websites. We arrived there only to be told the hotel has been shut for over a year - but Expedia had already charged us the full amount.

I’ve always found one manalo to be a nice hotel offering comfort with exceptional service. You can see a previous review I left. |This time something wasn’t quite right, the greeting at the front desk was ok no interest really the room was very good and the bed so big and comfy. ||The breakfast was poor, but he cereal was mainly crumbs the isda was empty along with sausages. These were filled back up but by that point I’d eaten toast and wasn’t hungry anymore. The boy on service needs training he was playing on his phone most of the time. ||It feels like new management or something because it isn’t anywhere near the previous standards.

Absolutely loved this hotel! All the staff were so sweet and even they offer us early check in for free! It was super nice offer after long flight. They helped us every matter like tour cancelled, reservation for restaurants and massage shop. Pool and gym were so comfortable, not crowded at all. Room was big enough, shower was okay, air-conditioner was well worked! One thing we could say is that breakfast takes so long, so keep in your mind that you should calculate 30 minutes more for breakfast so that you don't be late for picking up from tour. We asked them to cut mango which we bought in supermarkets, they cut super professional! It was a great idea to ask them! We loved this hotel! Definitely I'll choose here again to come back ;)

Hotel has a pretty entrance, lobby and pool area. Gym is also OK. The disappointing rating comes from the pool having murky water, so we didn't enjoy the pool. And bed-side table didn't work and when switching on the other fluorescent lights we had 20 flying ants in the room. They should uninstall those lights. We also emailed the hotel to book a tour in advance and they never replied. We got a free shuttle back to the airport.

I recently stayed at One Manolo Place during December 2023, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the moment of check-in, it was evident that the staff were incredibly unhelpful and slow in their service. This lack of attentiveness persisted throughout my entire stay, greatly impacting the overall enjoyment of my trip. One of the major disappointments occurred when I booked a day trip through the hotel. Due to inclement weather, the excursion had to be cancelled. While the staff assured me of a refund for the cancelled trip, it has now been more than 8 weeks, and I have yet to receive any reimbursement. This not only demonstrates a lack of accountability on their part but also adds to the frustration of an already subpar experience. Based on my personal encounter, I strongly advise against staying at One Manolo Place or booking any activities through their services. The combination of indifferent staff and unfulfilled promises tarnished what could have been an enjoyable stay.

We only stayed for one night before our flight. It was OK for that but I would not recommend it for a longer stay. The place has severe cleanliness issues. After traveling in the Philippines for three weeks and staying at super basic cottages as well as nice hotels, this was the first and only place that had not been cleaned properly. This applies to the milky water in the pool that obviously has ph value issues, the gym and also our room.
I took the duvet out of its cover because it was too warm to sleep under. The duvet was full of brown stains and hair. I reported this to the front desk in the morning and they appologized and reported it to house-keeping. However, at a rather new and nicely designed place like this it should not have happened in the first place. Disgusting! The room was full of mosquitos upon arrival. We asked the reception staff for insect spray but they just waved a can at us and said there was not much left. We had to check 3 different stores until we found some ourselves. The next morning we saw some on the cleaning team‘s cart.

Stayed here Dec 2022. Rooms were clean and front desk staff were excellent. Some of the negative reviews seem older and I have a feeling they have improved since then. Gym was a big plus for me, as there was a good selection of weights and machines. Definitely enough to get a decent work out in. Small negative was the AC can get a bit loud, but this did not bother myself or my partner. There are also some business' close by that generate noise but again, this didn't affect us personally. Overall a great stay for the price.
