One Marine Drive Boutique Hotel

We had a wonderful seven night stay in this upmarket boutique hotel with just 17 rooms.|Room 8 on the first floor of the forward building had spectacular sea views and would be amazing in whale season.|The room was simply furnished with a lovely sea view balcony where we spent many an hour. Bathroom was OK but only a shower which could do with updating.|Breakfast is a mix of a small buffet and freshly cooked items and was perfect.|Parking is very secure and the staff, led by Ruben Pullyn, were extremely hospitable.|It is a short and pleasant stroll to the town centre.|We will certainly be back.

We stayed at 1 Marine Drove for two nights and could not have been happier with our choice. The welcome was warm and informative - it is rare these days to be shown to your room and all of the amenities available but this was the welcome we received. Secure underground car park, and close to the town - the view is ridiculously beautiful. Breakfast choices were plentiful and the quality of ingredients and cooking superb. We felt very looked after throughout our stay. Everyone is super friendly.||We stayed in room 17 which was spacious and clean and again with excellent facilities and complimentary sustainable products. We love the idea of collecting excess water in a bucket for re-use in the garden ! We had no issue with the kettle and coffee machine being outside of the room, it felt like an extension of our space ||The town and shops and restaurants are about a 10 minute walk away. The coastal path is easily accessible and provides a nice route to walk. ||We definitely recommend and will return.

Thank you.|We had room 4, which was spacious and comfortable, but was at the rear of the hotel, so we missed out on the views.|Breakfast was good and relaxed, but you need to leave plenty of time to enjoy the hot food options.|Good location with easy access to the coastal path, which was fabulous. |The staff were very helpful, ensuring you had a great stay

Location, cleanliness, breakfast were all great. The staff friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Only 16 rooms gave it a relaxed and homey feel. Recommend it highly for an enjoyable stay in a beautiful seaside town. Sandeesa was an absolute pleasure and looked after anything we needed.

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. The rooms were lovely especially if you get one looking out over the water. We watched whales from the shore! Short walk into town -10/15 mins where there's lots of restaurants to pick from

We loved this hotel from the minute we arrived, it has a calm and relaxed vibe, we were made to feel really welcome. The rooms are beautiful & comfortable and the decor is stylish throughout. We would definitely stay again.

Couldn’t fault the staff for the warm welcome we received. We stayed in a suite on the second/top floor and were surprised that there was no lift. We were awoken early by birds making a lot of noise on the roof above us. The spa pool is outdoors and not heated but they’re working on that. |Breakfast was excellent, complimentary cake of the day was delicious too. |The hotel is part of the Living Journey Collection Boutique Hotels. As a thank you they make a donation in your name to their Education Program called ‘Ease the journey’ This supports under privileged children by providing them with stationery etc.

I had the pleasure of staying at One Marine Drive in Hermanus, a five-star hotel that’s part of the Living Journey Collection. This stunning coastal retreat offers uninterrupted ocean views right from the room—truly breathtaking. The staff were exceptional, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The hotel strikes a perfect balance between modern elegance and classic hospitality, with thoughtful touches throughout. The property features two inviting pools and a charming restaurant that serves a delicious breakfast and a light day menu for casual bites. There’s also a well-stocked bar and several cozy lounge areas ideal for relaxing. I can’t recommend this incredible place enough. It would make an especially perfect stay during whale season when Hermanus comes alive with marine activity. Or just perfect if you are a lover of the ocean like I. Enjoy this one!
