Very unwelcoming.
Unfortunately, my experience here was underwhelming from the start. When we first arrived, the woman outside didn’t seem welcoming—her demeanor felt judgmental, as though she was sizing me up. She informed us that only indoor seating was available and that we’d need to speak to the hostess inside if we wanted a table. That was fine, but the lack of coordination between staff quickly became apparent.
Once inside, I asked the indoor hostess if there was a chance of getting a table outside with a short wait. She said she didn’t know and told us to check back with the hostess outside. As a guest, I don't think I should be going back and forth between staff—there should be better communication among the team.
We opted to just sit inside to keep things simple. However, even then, the staff’s demeanor made me feel out of place. I was carrying a reusable shopping bag from Marshalls, and the looks I received felt unnecessarily judgmental, which added to the discomfort.
Our server was friendlier and more attentive, which I appreciated, but the overall service wasn’t anything exceptional. As for the food, I didn’t enjoy the lamb burger—the spices didn’t work for me and the feta was too overpowering. That said, the braised beef tacos and truffle frites were very good.
In the end, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the food was hit or miss. Unless you fit a certain "image", it’s hard to feel comfortable here. I’ve dined at many upscale restaurants and have always felt welcome—this was the first time I truly felt out of place. I wouldn’t return.
