Very unwelcoming. Unfortunately, my experience here was underwhelming from the start. When we first arrived, the woman outside didn’t seem welcoming—her demeanor felt judgmental, as though she was sizing me up. She informed us that only indoor seating was available and that we’d need to speak to the hostess inside if we wanted a table. That was fine, but the lack of coordination between staff quickly became apparent. Once inside, I asked the indoor hostess if there was a chance of getting a table outside with a short wait. She said she didn’t know and told us to check back with the hostess outside. As a guest, I don't think I should be going back and forth between staff—there should be better communication among the team. We opted to just sit inside to keep things simple. However, even then, the staff’s demeanor made me feel out of place. I was carrying a reusable shopping bag from Marshalls, and the looks I received felt unnecessarily judgmental, which added to the discomfort. Our server was friendlier and more attentive, which I appreciated, but the overall service wasn’t anything exceptional. As for the food, I didn’t enjoy the lamb burger—the spices didn’t work for me and the feta was too overpowering. That said, the braised beef tacos and truffle frites were very good. In the end, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the food was hit or miss. Unless you fit a certain "image", it’s hard to feel comfortable here. I’ve dined at many upscale restaurants and have always felt welcome—this was the first time I truly felt out of place. I wouldn’t return.

ONE Restaurant was such a great experience ! We had such a great time as the atmosphere and the staff were amazing! Unfortunately we cant remember our servers name but she was so friendly and outgoing! Just giving us recco’s on the menu and letting us know the favs. We enjoyed the Wagyu Sliders the most! We will definitely be back for date night ! :)

I spent over a $100 for lunch. Yet, the servers were very unwelcoming and rude. They were chatting and playing around but working. We were waiting for our bills and they would straight ignore us and watch us waiting forever while they sip on their drinks. When finally this guy brought us the bill he literally threw the bill on the table. UNACCEPTABLE MANNER. Also WATCH OUT cuz they literally have ticks on the tables in the patio.

The food was good, one of the meat dishes was tough but overall good food and good experience. Not the best Yorkville has to offer though.

I’ve been to One Restaurant twice, and both visits were disappointing. The first time, I tried the sliders and the steak—both were quite average and underwhelming for the price. On my second visit, the food was actually terrible. I ordered the lamb burger, which was burnt on the outside and undercooked inside. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich, which was made with dark meat and was so over-fried and hard that it actually left her with a sore throat for several days. Overall, the food quality is well below what you’d expect from a restaurant in this price range. The service is also just average. I won’t be returning as it is waste of money. The patio is private which is nice but the overall atmosphere is cold and unwelcoming.

i've been going here for brunch, lunch, and dinner for years and they're super consistent with everything. the pancakes are probably my favourite but all of the food is honestly good. service is also always amazing! shoutout to Ray for making our last dining experience 12/10!

It was a great brunch experience. I had heard that the lobster spoons were a must when dining at One Restaurant, so we ordered those to share, and they did not disappoint at all! Easily a 10/10 for taste, and serving size. My best friend had their Organic Irish Salmon, and I had their Filipino BBQ Half Chicken. We also shared their Woodland Mushroom dish. Everything tasted great, and they even gave my best friend a happy birthday cookie at the end of our brunch. A nice touch was the little chair provided for our purses/bags. That was a great detail! Overall, it was an amazing experience with very friendly staff. However, I must say it’s a little pricier than other upscale restaurants we usually visit, considering the food that we got and the atmosphere of the restaurant - something was off about the vibe in this place, also extremely dry air / poor lighting inside.
