Bars and Nightlife in Asheville

"Have a non-drinker in your group? One World Brewing West is your place. With several non-alcoholic options, this small and atmospheric brewery will please a crowd. There’s plenty of space for crowds and seating along the walls, as well as a circular bar in the center of the taproom. Go on a Monday for jazz and on a Thursday for funk. With plenty of parking in the rear, get comfortable and try Purple Rain, an herbal and light dessert-style Berliner Weisse." - MATADOR_NETWORK

One World was the perfect venue for us to hold our Tribute Show. The staff could not have been any more accommodating and kind. This venue is big, but the layout made it feel intimate. The bar and seating areas were perfect and allowed people to see the stage while relaxing and listening to the music. We were able to bring in our own food which made holding our event here so reasonable. We loved the deck area that opened out from the stage allowing people to still hear the music from outside. A real great addition to the venue. Wish we could give more than 5 stars. Loved One World, and would highly recommend holding an event here.

Great atmosphere that hosts live bands and allows dogs. The location offers clean bathrooms and ample parking. Hungry? Sabora Food Truck will take care of you with an ample savory menu. My first time in West Asheville, I loved it!

Google
A great local vibe. Great sound system. I’ve performed here for the Dogwood Alliance annual fundraiser and my son’s band, with the Asheville music school, has played here on a couple of occasions, and the venue is always warm and welcoming. His band draw a big crowd, so it gets a little crowded inside, but there seems to always be a little place to sit or stand that’s out of the way, and the bartenders have smiles and are quick to serve. Also, the sound is excellent for such a small area. And don’t neglect the outside area! It’s surprisingly large out there.

Love this place. Always welcoming and feels like home. Very dog friendly. Even have dog treats behind the bar

Google
Nice apace for a beer & listening to bands. Outside & inside seating. No flights today here - just the pints or 10 oz pours on weekends. Tasty brews & nice selection. Signage - difficult to spot from the road, but my navigator did an awesome job.

Had a fantastic visit. We stopped by with friends on a Sunday afternoon. Great spot to chill. The beers were delicious, service was great and they had a band and food truck out back. Lots of different areas for you to enjoy your beer. A brewery you can hang out at all day.

Google
Wonderful spot to hear music, dance, enjoy a drink, meet up with friends, or meet new friends! Always a very friendly crowd. First Saturday of each month currently has House music which is a fun time and brings out a great crowd.

Google
Awesome brewery! Staff was great. They have live music all the time, weather permitting it's outside too. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Awesome spot in AVL for a live show on Monday! What a great venue. The acoustics were amazing & the performance was priceless. Everyone was so friendly- from the staff to the crowd- I always felt invited & comfortable. There is a great outside area to hang out and enjoy your brews. One World is a must in AVL! Don't sleep on Mondays- head over to the mash up and witness amazing sounds!

Yelp
Our first stop in Asheville! We arrived around 4:30 on a rainy Thursday and were the only people here. The bartender was very friendly. Dogs and kids are allowed until 8 pm, which was nice for our puppy. Our beer was good, though I don't remember which it was (maybe ESB?) Nice covered outdoor patio and large backyard for nice days.

Yelp
I do like that One World has grown to be able to open a second location but I'm not a huge fan of their beer. We did a few pours in a flight but none of the beers stood out. It is an interesting location and we were not there late to see what the music fuss was about with it being too loud. It is a private club so they can serve liquor so be prepared to show your license. If I had to choose, I prefer the location downtown off of Patton.

Yelp
As a recent transplant to the AVL area, I am slowly working my way through the many breweries. Recently, I stopped at One World and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The beers were delicious and the service was great. Certainly worth a stop if you're in the W Asheville area.

Yelp
Totally forgot to write a review!!! We LOVVEEEEDDDDDD this brewery!!! The outdoor bar, the staff, the space....it was all wonderful! They took social distancing seriously and I felt very comfortable. The out door area was great and I felt comfortable. I had their pumpkin flavored beer and it was great! I love Asheville....I've had nothing but good things happen to me anywhere I go there!

Yelp
How exciting to have this awesome addition to West Asheville! This space is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful furnishings and art. One World Brewing West is a huge open space with a large circular bar in the middle. They have other seating options too such as couches, high top lovely wood tables and outdoor picnic tables. I love the colors in here with purple and blue lights and bright blue stool chairs everywhere. This space feels like a big hug, like a friends house mixed with an art gallery, mixed with a psychedelic concert venue. I absolutely love it. My favorite thing about One World is actually that not only are they are creative brewery (yay for my friends who drink beer), but they also have a FULL BAR! That means liquor and cocktails! I tried an Old Fashioned because it's my go-to drink and I always like to see how new bars make them. It was pretty tasty but the star for me was their specialty cocktail an Orange Margarita (I can't remember what the name is on the menu). My friend tried a specialty cocktail as well and we were both pleased. They also have some non-alcoholic choices such as La Croix, flavored San Pallegrino and local Elixir sodas. The bartenders were both really awesome. They were friendly but not overbearing and were happy to help with suggestions on the beer and cocktail menu. I'm super excited about this gorgeous space and am already looking forward to bringing more friends in here asap!

Yelp
Bar steward only interested in self not customers. We had to exit for his conversation to finish before ordering a beer! Have you ever? I wish I got his name but he was an older person. He is clearly not in the right business! He has lost my business there!! See ya

Yelp
A wonderful little brewery in a nice area of town. They let you bring in outside food, which was a big plus for us. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and there was a wonderful jazz ensemble set up. Really good selection of beer-- enough options to satisfy whatever style of beer you prefer. In a city full of excellent breweries, I would highly recommend a stop here as well!

Yelp
Neat building and cool setup, but terrible service and mediocre beer. The bar is round, so it's a chaotic mess of people approaching them from all sides. They look over people (including me) that were there first and wait on whoever looks good, I suppose. It got old quickly. I tried three different beers while there: the Ashevegas, the Amber, and the farmhouse ale. None were particularly great. Average at best. To make the experience worse, Screaming Js were playing, and it took about 10 minutes for the door guy to sign in two people and put arm bands on them. We ended up going to the bar for ours. Plus, dozens of smelly, barefoot people pretty much all night. Nasty.

Yelp
This place is amazing inside and out. And they have been doing social distance music, its 5 stars all across the board. The beer is pretty good too, they have a wide variety of flavors, something for everyone. Personal favorite is any of their dark beer or the sour. I've tried the food truck out front a few times and have never been disappointed. The gumbo is pretty spot on for being outside of New Orleans. The outside area is probably my favorite especially when the weather is nice. And they get extra points for being dog friendly. We've had a pretty big group of dogs and every one always gets along, there's plenty of room for everyone.

Yelp
One World Brewing is definitely in my top for best breweries in Asheville. I love both locations (Downtown & West Asheville). Their beer is great and the environment is awesome. They usually have weekly events which are so much fun! Highly suggest going!

Yelp
On a weekend visit to Asheville, we were in search of outdoor dining drinking options where we felt safely socially distanced. One World Brewing turned out to be one of the few places I've been since the pandemic began where for a moment, however brief, I felt safely able to feel a little bit human again. On a Friday night, we stopped by, snagged some brews and table. There was an EDM DJ performing. When we first arrived, it was raining, and we huddled under the umbrella. with our party. During our entire visit, 98% of folks were doing a great job of mask-wearing and keeping distance. The beer was great and the vibes were better. As the sun fell, slowly, people stood in place at their tables or spread apart from each other (well more than 6 ft for the most part and danced)....it was one of the few times I've been in public recently and couldn't help but smile. Loved the service, the beer, but mostly the good vibes. Thanks for helping people feel like people safely in a time when it's so hard to do so.

Yelp
Our 2 year old doggo felt so welcome as soon as we arrived. Great beer, great atmosphere, and awesome dialogue between dog owners. Love this place!

Yelp
While I don't particularly like One World, it's probably the bar in Asheville I went to most often. Pros: They have pretty cheap drinks, while still being a brewery. The space is large and spread out, so you can easily show up with a group and have space. Sunny indoor space for day drinking or rainy days. Front patio for people watching, back deck for talking. There is usually a food truck if anyone is hungry. They have a big parking lot and there's also easy street parking. They were very close to where I was staying. Cons: The music was...not my taste and very loud. The decor feels weirdly like everything came from Home Sense. Neutral: The bathroom feels like you've been transported to Walmart. So it's clean and very bright.

Yelp
A space worth waiting for! After renovating for a year the nice folks at One World have opened a great spot in West AVL. The circular bar is unique with taps coming up in the center. Outdoor deck & parking (in the back) with food truck space. Craft brewers are a fine bunch & One World offers some regular collaborations. Today's Gose & Brett IPA were deliciously refreshing on a sultry afternoon. Check it out!

Yelp
This place was slightly hidden as it is right off of the Main Street in Asheville. We ducked in after we saw how many people seemed to be going. The bar is downstairs and there is seating outside, which was great. The beer was good and relatively cheap.

Yelp
I'm a fan of One World. The beer is pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but a solid offering. I really like the circular bar and the overall vibe. They have live music most nights of the week, with a lot of it being jam bands, but that's Asheville for you. Overall good place to hang out and have a pint.

Dan S.

Yelp
The place is okay for atmosphere but they are very limited on beer. I am more of a blonde and Pilsner drinker but they only had one on tap. Everything else was an IPA and pale ale. If you like those this might be your place. The bartender was great.

Yelp
Really good beer! awesome atmosphere! love the way they have repurposed many different things throughout the space. Friendly bartender. Super dog friendly and they had mead!

Yelp
The new One World West is awesome! Such a cool and funky space. Great beer and they offer mocktails which allows you to join in on the fun of you're not drinking. They have ample parking in the back which makes things so much easier!

Harry M.

Yelp
Cool venue but music is WAY too loud. I just wanted live music and beers which they had, but it felt like they were trying to make me bleed with sound. Couldn't talk to the people I came with, so if you're looking for hearing damage, this is the place to be!

Yelp
I was not impressed with the beer, especially w so many other options in the area. I like craft beer w big flavor and or a creative twist and did not find either

Yelp
Big space. Music most nights. Outdoor areas. Good beer list. Cocktails and mocktails. Nice vibe.

Yelp
This was the most impressionable place we visited during our weekend getaway in Asheville! The first thing that stands out amongst other establishments is the beautiful art and the large windows that let in so much natural light. We were greeted by a knowledgable and friendly bartender who served us up 2 of their IPA's. We made our way outside where we enjoyed sitting on the picnic tables while soaking up the winter sun. They had plenty of outdoor seating on their deck as well as cornhole boards. What really made our visit special was the 3 hammocks near the parking lot. We sipped our beers while hanging in the hammocks as the leaves fell around us. I wish I could have spent my entire Sunday afternoon lounging around and drinking delicious beer! One World has created such a meaningful and memorable space, I cannot wait to go back someday soon!

Yelp
This is the second location and they are still in the soft opening phase. The bartender really loves the place and the beer that they serve which is great, but we were not super impressed with the beer itself. The atmosphere and location is pretty good though. They have bags you can toss outside, a deck you can sit on, or a lot of seating indoors as well. The biggest perk is the parking lot. It was nice to not have to pay for parking. They also bring in food trucks and park behind the building.

Steve B.

Yelp
Just meeting Winter was worth the trip. Finding the parking lot was mildly challenging and only added to the fun. We got a flight of everything on tap and Nancy fell in love with Detroit to Berliner Vol. 6. Winter pointed me in the right direction when she let me know I could get a 32oz can of anything on tap. Somehow I must decide, growlers or 32oz can.

Yelp
This brewery does not have any regard for their neighbors. They play loud music all throughout the night until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. on their patio . Despite several complaints from adjacent neighbors, the owners do not validate them. Not only is this a violation of the noise ordinance but it shows that the owners are just concerned about making a profit and do not care about disturbing the neighboring residents - who needed adequate sleep - adults having to go to work and children having to go to school. These residents have been in the area long before this brewery came about.

Yelp
Let me start off this review by saying that I do NOT do drugs. Of any sort. Nor am I krazy. So perhaps my experience was colored by the fact that I am a law abiding citizen. I asked for a cheap domestic beer at the bar in an effort to drink within my budget. The bartender, who was a lean, mean, trendy fellow (probably Krazy) wearing some sort of a newsie cap, snarled condescendingly at me and muttered "ummmmm... This is a brewery.." He looked at me as though I had 3 heads he wanted to cut off. The doorman hadnt properly stamped my hand, so they frisked me like I was a suspicious flyer at an airport. To my left, there were garish firedancers clearly on some sort of hallucinogenic drug. To my right, I saw people dressed for the Renaissance fair. I saw fractals and mandelbrot zooms printed on tshirts sported by the employees of the joint. Everybody within the joint growled like hounds at a fox - in this metaphor, I was the fox. It was as though I had entered a fever dream. There were no stay weird vibes to be found here. I never got my Miller and left humiliated.

Yelp
Came here with a group of people to watch a live band that my mom knew the lead singer of. The customer service was great from the moment we got checked in to the service at the bae. The Urban Orchard cider is one of the best I've tried. I also loved the fact they had mixed drinks to order as well. The vibe of this place is so awesome and everyone got up to dance to the music. We all had a great night!

Jim D.

Yelp
Great venue. Good beer and Amanda was fantastic! Fun place for a group of friends to gather.

Yelp
Great brewery in West Asheville!! The bartender was very friendly and welcoming, and I love that they have cocktails as well as beer. We will definitely be coming back!
