Onederz Siem Reap

Onederz has genuinely been one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Southeast Asia. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The rooms were spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and they’re actually fairly spacious compared to most hostels in the region — which makes a huge difference when you’re travelling. One of the absolute highlights is the amazing three-pool setup. It creates such a great atmosphere, whether you want to relax or socialise. On top of that, the on-site restaurants serve fantastic food — everything from fresh sushi to pastas and a variety of international cuisine. It’s rare to find that level of quality and choice in a hostel. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. Sophavida especially stood out with such a friendly attitude and went above and beyond to make my stay a 10/10. Piseth was also incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout. Their hospitality really sets this place apart. I honestly couldn’t recommend Onederz enough. If you’re travelling through Southeast Asia, this is a must-stay.

Probably the best hostel ive ever stayed in, and ive stayed in plenty. 4 swimming pools, a range of activities and entertainment, clean comfortable dorms, and astonishingly polite and welcoming Khmer staff. Glasses of beer are about 55p during the day, then 70p in the evening. This place really pushes the boundaries of SE Asia hostels.

Original review: Not only is this place extremely clean and in an excellent location (a 5-minute walk from the hottest attractions in Siem Reap), but it is THE place to meet people from all over the world. It is run by a foreigner and is very high end for what it is, and surprisingly affordable. It's also a huge complex with a lot of rooms. Onederz itself, the brand, is in a lot of major Cambodian cities. They know what they're doing. They have fun events each night like trivia night and so on. Plus a nice restaurant, rooftop pool, professional English speaking staff, and so on. And to clarify, this place DOES have private rooms, as well as hostel dormitory rooms, depending on what your budget is. The cheapest private rooms are about $22 a night as of 2025 December. Dorm rooms are cheaper. Note that the rooms are quiet at night, so don't worry if there is noise near the reception and restaurant area. Angkor Wat is about 5 km away. The reception desk has all the information you need for buying tickets to the temples, as well as transportation options. Angkor Wat itself is surrounded by protected "Apsara" land, so you won't find a hotel much closer, even if you tried.

By far the best hostel I have ever stayed at. I had a private room in the “garden” building and it was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff are always around, smiling and checking in to see if you need anything. It’s convenient to have good food and fresh juices and other drinks right there for you. There is plenty of pool lounging space since there are 3. The rooftop has the best direct sun if the other beds are taken! They also have the best social activities and affordable group tours. Very highly recommend.

I couldn’t complain about anything in this hostel, the rooms are really clean, the beds are comfy and it is always air conditioned. The staff are really friendly and speak really good English and the activities they organise are really good like the bracelet making class. It’s free to do if you’re staying here and just a very wholesome activity if you’re with some friends. I definitely recommend this hostel if you’re in Siem reap.

Great hostel, amazing vibe and incredible people. The rooms are nice, big and clean. The activity team has a lot of fun stuff prepared. The cycling tour and the bracelet making with Pea and Na was beautiful and amazing. The pub crawl with Mo and Ey was so so fun! I really really recommend you booking this place:)

I gotta say, this hands down the best hostel for young people I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been to plenty. You got 3 pools that are always packed, a shared restaurant and bar area that is also always packed, and only by young people it’s insane! The rooms are very high quality and the staff are so nice it’s unbelievable. It’s the best place to stay in Siam reap especially if you’re travelling alone since it’s so easy to socialise in here. And on top of all you don’t even need a bike since the location is so good you just walk everywhere!

I stayed at Onederz Siem Reap for 2 nights in a private room, and I’m satisfied with my experience. The room was clean, quiet, smelled great, and overall very comfortable. all the staff are energetic, friendly, and incredibly kind. The hostel offers plenty of activities, both free and paid, which makes it easy to meet people or explore the city. They were also very accommodating: they allowed us to take a shower before check-in, and after check-out we could relax in the common area for hours while waiting for our night sleeper bus. Really appreciated that flexibility. The common working space near the pool and restaurant is convenient, though it can be a little noisy at times but still perfectly manageable. The internet connection is also strong and reliable. The only downside is that there’s no elevator in private building. Overall, I had a great stay here.
