The 10 Best Hostels in Prague (Updated 2025)

"With three fun, social locations in Prague, I find Onefam to be one of the poshest hostel options in town; guests get a free homemade dinner each night and can join organized activities like drinking games, movie nights, and walking tours, so there’s always a lot happening and it’s a solid choice for solo travelers. The hostels are clean, have lounges with TVs, Netflix, and PlayStations or Nintendos, and you pay more for super-soft beds and modern amenities — beds start from about 378–600 CZK depending on the location — though note there are often age restrictions (typically 18 to 45). The three Onefam locations are: Míru (in Námestí Míru, about a 15-minute walk to the city center), Home (right in the center and a party spot), and Old Town (steps from Prague’s landmark attractions)." - Matthew Kepnes

Great hostel for travelers on a budget! The staff and volunteers are super friendly and welcoming , I stayed for 3–4 nights and it was cool. The atmosphere is very social, with pub crawls and family dinners that make it easy to meet new people and make friends. A perfect spot if you’re looking for good vibes, community, and fun while traveling

Amazing first hostel experience. It was so clean and organized and not what I expected it to be. Chris, Mohamed, and Gentry were very welcoming and had activities planned and organized constantly and never ran out of energy. Highly recommend.

The hostel is very nice for people who are social. They have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Both staff and volunteers were kind and service minded. The receptionist Austeja was very helpful when leaving. We also got great service from Rafa and Michael at the desk. Lizzy and Bridge were great at creating a friendly atmosphere and great vibes when we visited. Robbie was very Positive and helpful. All in all it was a great stay with great people and a good social setting.

A very good social hostel! They host many affordable activities during the day so there is always something to do and people to hang out with! Kind staff members too! Had a great time with Bridge; Lizzy; Austėja; Rafi; Robbie and the others! The took us to nice places during nights out; were always down for a chat or to play some cards; etc. The hostel felt very cozy because of their hospitality! It’s a great place for solo travelers like me and if I were to be in Prague again; I’d book at the same spot!

This hostel was very sociable and great for solo travelers! The free dinners were a great way to meet other travelers and the pub crawl was a lot of fun. They had at least two activities everyday where we also met up with the other Onefam hostels in Prague. The rooms had more single beds than bunks which was nice but not every bed had an outlet nearby. The bathrooms and kitchen weren’t the cleanest as well. Adain was super helpful when I requested to switch rooms. Rafah was also super warm and welcoming.

Location is great since it's near a metrostop and only about a km from the train station. It's a great social hostel. Michael checked me in and told me where everything was and answered all of my questions patiently despite me showing up pretty late. Mireia was friendly and great at hosting the games after dinner. Lauraline made an amazing veggie fried rice for family dinner. Mireia and Lauraline led the group out drinking the two nights I was there and both were good with making sure we all got on and off the pubic transport together and at the right stop. Sam made checkout easy and was kind and friendly with everyone.

One of the absolute best hostel experiences we have had! So welcoming and truly felt like a family. Bastien Becca Robbie and Austėja made the stay that much better. They were so kind and accommodating. 1000% recommend staying here. :)

Lovely hostel in a beautiful neighbourhood of Prague, 30 minute walk or 10 minute tram ride away from the city centre. Despite the distance from everything I always felt safe even at night when getting back to the hostel. I absolutely loved my stay here - the staff were all extremely kind, and joined in on the fun while making me feel very comfortable and safe on my first solo trip. The family dinners were a big plus and a great way to meet people at this hostel and one of the other Onefam locations (Arbes). They also arranged some daytime tours of Prague and party locations at night (bars, clubs, excellent karaoke nights). Everyone was very social, but the party pretty much entirely left the hostel around 10 (even earlier on weekends). When I stayed in, I didn't have any problems with noise in the evening. I would suggest earplugs in case of snorers though! The hostel was clean and cozy, with full privacy curtains on all the beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and nice private bathrooms. I stayed during the off-season and it never felt crowded. Make sure you bring about 20 euro/dollars/pounds or 500 CZK cash for a key deposit - they kindly accepted my student ID as a deposit instead since I was having difficulties getting cash, but it would have been easier had I brought some. Additionally, though Prague is quite a card-friendly city, some of the nights out that the hostel hosts also require a cash cover charge in Euro or CZK.
