LOVED the spicy shrimp tacos and the seared mahi mahi with rice and cucumber kimchi. Definitely stop by - the woman working in the truck was so sweet too!

We had fish tacos and shrimp tacos. Delicious. My only complaint is too many flies at the picnic tables.

What a delicious little gem of a place! My husband got the fish & chips and I got the shrimp taco plate. Yum! We took it to go since we wanted to eat it on our patio, though we could have sat in the large covered picnic table area behind the truck. The food had a flavorful kick of heat to it—my husband’s chips and the shrimp in my tacos—and these was plenty of food on each plate. I highly recommend this food truck, but be aware that it is only open for lunch during the week (and not on the weekend) so get there when it is open and you will be given a satisfying meal.

I ordered the fish tacos mild. The flavor was okay. The pieces of fish were weirdly all stuck together and so not have much flavor. There was a good spicy kind of crema and coleslaw mix that was on top. I wish it had more crema it was kind of dry. I liked the mango salsa but could really only taste some heat it is not very fresh mango. Ate at the picnic tables in the fastest possible fashion because the flies are insanely bad and do not let up. You get whiffs of the fly traps that smell like sweet garbage. Or maybe there is just garbage nearby. I feel bad because the lady that runs it is super nice.

Delicious!! I had a fish taco, the mango salsa is bomb! The ono fish and chips is great too, the texture of the fish and chips is perfect, and there is plenty of homemade tarter sauce! You’ll be glad you went!

Yelp
Fish tacos out of a food truck? Shooooooooots! I go chance 'em!!!! So the best thing you can do for yourself when visiting a place that you're not from is to ask a local on - "where da good kine grindz?" Sure enough, one of my customer's at Bank of Hawaii gave me da scoops on where to go, to check out some ono kine grindages! "Ono Fish and Shrimp" was the place of choice for my afternoon lunch, as you can find this little food truck in Kaunakakai town, just next door to the business - Molokai Fish & Dive. Business hours here are limited, as they are only opened from Monday to Friday from 11: 00 AM to 02:30 PM. They are closed on Saturday & Sunday (see my pic). The menu there is pretty simple, as they offered five different items, and they were - 1. Taco Plate ($12.00), or you can do Ala Carte ($10.00). They do fish or shrimp tacos. 2. Sirloin Steak Plate ($15.00) 3. Fish & Chips Plate ($11.00) 4. Butter Garlic Shrimp Plate ($12.00) 5. Steak & Shrimp Plate ($14.00) I'm not sure if the menu changes from day to day, as my Molokai trip was just a day trip. Upon looking over the menu, I decided on the Taco plate, as I wanted to sample the Fish Tacos with fresh mango salsa. Sound Yummy right? So my Taco Plate consisted of (2) freshly made to order - Fish Tacos (the fish used was Ono, or for you mainland folks - Wahoo), a scoop of white rice, and a green salad. I also bought a bottled water to wash down my meal. What can I say about the Fish Tacos??? Absolutely broke da moufth deeeeeeeeeeeeelicious!!! The fish was cubed, marinated, and grilled perfectly! The fish & mango salsa was folded into a soft shell taco that was slightly grilled. The mango salsa was really mind blowing good!!! I only wished I had a 3rd tacos, but of course overeating will only make me more fatter that I am! Buwahahahahahaha! Folks, although the food was sold out of a food truck, there was covered outside seating in the back area of the food truck. Just a quick tip..........as soon as I opened my food container to get some pics for Yelp, the next thing ya know, I had to compete with the flies!!! Lol! I also had to eat fast to beat down the flies from getting to my meal, so if you don't dig that kinda environment, may I suggest you take your meal back to your hotel, or maybe eat your meal in your rental car? Looking for ono kine grindages???? Check out Ono Fish and Shrimp for their Fish Tacos! Da buggah is Winnah's!!!!

Yelp
Last minute lunch for us... and it was sooo good! I had the grilled Mahi and he had the butter garlic shrimp. Both had such good flavor - cooked to perfection and lovely seasoning. The side of rice was a great size and I appreciated the salad option as I'm not a fan of mac cheese. Definitely a food truck to check out!

Yelp
This was my first time trying this place the 2 years I've been coming to this island. I ordered the buttered garlic shrimp (I heard it was really good here). Definitely flavorful and would recommend to try. It definitely has a shrimp fettuccine taste to it tho, but pairs nicely with the rice. You get the option between kimchi and salad, and decided on the latter. Definitely one of the better kimchis on the island because it has a pleasant "kick" to it. What I did enjoy was (although the shrimp was on the small side), was that the shrimp was peeled and plump. I hate peeling shrimp, which is something I always have to do in Hawaii. Price is reasonable for the island, but do wish they would stuff my container with a little more with shrimp. Definitely would try the other items for a more accurate review!

Yelp
I can confidently say this little truck offers the freshest and tastiest food on the island. Tacos are amazing and the mango salsa outstanding, great meal. The fish and chips are light and crispy and the tartar sauce fresh and tangy. Love the service, great food, covered picnic tables with chicks, hens and roosters to help you with any leftovers. Gas station, liquor store, bakery and market are all within two minutes-walking distance.

Yelp
Seriously...this is a MUST when you're on Molokai. Best fish tacos ever. These are not the typical Baja-style fish tacos...they are grilled and made with ono, a local fish. We got the mild tacos and they still had a good kick of spice. But oh my gosh, so much flavor! Grab lunch there one afternoon...you won't be sorry!

Yelp
Definitely a fan of Ono Fish and Shrimp. I went there twice during my stay on Molokai, and both times really enjoyed the food. Will definitely go back there, next time on on Molokai, and highly recommend to anyone who is visiting. They have good food, good prices, and good service. The fish was fresh, the homemade mango salsa is delicious: the tacos are garnished with a little fresh cabbage, then I splashed a little hot sauce on top of them and washed it all down with a coke. What more can you ask from street tacos!

Yelp
Ono Fish and Shrimp food truck is one of a few restaurants in Moloka'i and one of a couple eats that serves seafood! Initially, I was eager to check out Paddler's Inn but after finding out its closed and we decided on Ono Fish and Shrimp which I must say was a good choice! As my friends and I passed this food truck, I wasn't impressed at first. After all, it's a food truck, with its typical pictures in the front and net covered benches in the back. I also thought that the plates we're a bit overpriced for 12 bucks. (I mean, c'mon! Have you been to Ono Steaks & Shrimp Shack in Oahu?) I ordered the garlic shrimp plate which came with rice, salad, 6-8 pieces of (small) shrimp and a drink. The workers were friendly and our food were prepared fairly quick. Honestly, I was really surprised by the flavor of the shrimp.... it was certainly delicious!!!! They made a special garlic sauce that separates it from the other shrimp shacks. Although, my only gripe is that I wish the shrimps we're a bit bigger. All in all, if you're in town and don't want to be too disappointed by the lack of seafood restaurants, I highly recommend Ono Fish and Shrimp for your seafood cravings!

Yelp
This is the best food we have had in Molokai! The garlic shrimp is a must! Picnic tables, friendly people, chickens a sand roosters under the tables. SO GOOD!

Yelp
Good food, extra slow service. The good: my taco shells were heated perfectly, not too hard & not too soft. The fresh-made pico de gallo was delicious; it rescued my shrimp tacos from mediocrity. The bad: the shrimp and all the fillings were just ordinary - I expected more, being so close to the ocean. The wait time exceeds even island slowness. This place has a rustic, Third World ambiance. You will do better to visit the other food truck in town.

Yelp
WOW! This taco truck is really good. My friends and I came here after paddle boarding, and decided to order some tacos while we were in town. No line to order and the price of the menu was reasonable. They have tables and seats towards the back of the truck with shade where you can wait for your food. And the wait wasn't that bad either. It took about 15 minutes for our food to come out and they brought it to our table. I ordered the the Fish and Shrimp Taco plate that came with rice and pickled kimchi. Both tacos were very filling and delicious. The fish and the shrimp was seasoned perfectly. On top was a bed of red and green peppers and mango. I've never had mango on salsa, but very sweet and spicy. They put so much of the mango salsa on top that it would just slide off the tortilla. Overall, very good. Would have wanted to try the other plates like the garlic shrimp. My friend actually ordered that one and said it was sooooooo good!

Yelp
It's always amazing how the best food comes from the restaurants without much curb appeal. My wife and I were on Molokai for a week and this spot was the best seafood we ate all week. Their fish is fresh and island caught. I loved the simplicity of the menu--there's only 6 or 7 options, but any of them would be great. I had the fish tacos and my wife had the Mahi filet. Both were incredible. The picnic tables in the back looked new with a new tent overhead. While it might feel weird ordering basically out of the gas station parking lot, the back feels more like you're at an outdoor restaurant. We had a chicken wander into the seating area while we were eating, so maybe plan to make a new friend or two. If you're on Molokai and enjoying it, this place will be great. If you're wondering where to find the nearest Outback Steakhouse, you might be on the wrong island.

Yelp
I am not a taco person, especially fish taco. Don't like the fishie taste. But the picture showing it has mongo salsa on top, decided to give it try. It was delicious, I was impressed. The taco looks better than the picture! Mongo salsa and sauce for the taco taste refreshing and yummy. Everything tasted really fresh, definitely daily prepared. I have eaten in 5 taco places in Hawaii, all with good reviews, this is the best one. Plus service, everyone on Molokai just extra nice and friendly!!! My friend ordered garlic shrimp, was delicious too. Don't miss this place!!

Yelp
The girl was rude, I don't get why? Yeah I'm a tourist but I'm giving you money for a product you sell...if no one buys you don't get paid. What a concept!

Yelp
Very good lunch, particularly for pescatarians like us--lot's of seafood choices. We had seared Ono, garlic shrimp, fish& chips, and shrimp tacos--all good in reasonably large portions. The shrimp was moist and succulent. The kimchee cucumber was much better than expected--I recommend it.

Yelp
Worth the 5 star rating. Food truck outdoes many of the restaurants. I had fish tacos and my wife had garlic shrimp with tons of garlic. Yummy.

Yelp
This is the place to eat on Molokai. Make the trip. Best Fish Tacos Ever!!!! Topped with fresh mango salsa.....mmmmm. Ono dinner is excellent too (but I'm hooked on the tacos!) Really nice people who can really cook. The fish is always fresh and the sides are great. You can take it to go, or eat behind the truck on picnic tables. Next time we're on Molokai, I'll try the shrimp!

Yelp
So fun! The food was great. We especially loved the garlicky shrimp.
