Google
Came across this spot on my last evening in Barcelona thanks to Google maps. This place is very tiny, and since we were a walk in the owner put us at the smallest table (literally had to move the table out in order to take a seat) squeezed in between 2 walls. Nonetheless, it was cozy and the atmosphere was nice, heard mostly American English there. The food that we ordered was good and came out pretty fast. My only negative comment was that I had to ask our server to change our plates before the main course, I guess it's not common in Spain to offer clean plates after having appetizers. Prices were reasonable and overall we enjoyed it at Onofre.

Google
Local, cozy and lovely. Get reservations for sure. We enjoyed tapas that were divine! Amazing wine. Chatting with the next table this is where the locals eat. The brand fois was melt in your mouth delicious.

Food is okay, but overpriced. Service was astronomically horrible. Table of three we ordered 3 tapas, cappuccino and cava. It took exceptionally long for the food to come out, and when we realized we were missing the croquette waiter forgot to write it down. Took another 20 minutes for that. Croquettes came and still frozen in the middle. We confronted the waiter and showed her they were still frozen and she got annoyed with us and started speaking Spanish in which she thought I didn’t know. So I mouthed the word b* to her, not out loud, and she acted like she was going to put her hands on me. My sister has it all on video where I’ll post it to my YouTube. It was really disappointing, I would highly suggest finding else where to eat this establishment is ghetto including the manager with the blonde hair.

Quaint and rather quiet the Thursday we had dinner there at about 10pm. Service was outstanding, and the food really good. The bacalao/ cod was scrumptious, and the duck was succulent. Nice restaurant recommended by Rick Steves, glad we went on our last night in Barcelona!

Google
For years this was one of my top 5 places in BCN. I have had lovely dinners experiencing very good dishes that were very tasty, excellent quality, “typical catalan”, … i went mid june 2025 and this was all gone. Yes, same name, similar menu, but everything fell flat. Nothing was beating whatever other tapas and dishes you can taste anywhere else. Particular dramatic was to pay 28 euros for one octopus leg with a simple boiler potato on the side. I guess ownership has changed. With it, their spirit too.

Google
This place is a breath of fresh air in the touristy Gothic quarter. Nothing fancy. Just a good wine bar with a large and terrific tapas menu, serving quality food with extremely friendly service.

Google
Went to this fantastic tapas restaurant last night and going again tonight to try different dishes. We had about 6 dishes and a bottle of red and came to 55 euros. Recommend black pudding rice, stuffed peppers with seafood , goats cheese and pear pie, duck was really tender , tomato bread. All fantastic. Too full for dessert.

Google
This is a small place hidden in the old town centre near the cathedral but not a tourist trap. It's only as wide as the door and not well advertised so you can easily miss it. It has a good selection of wines and the €28 bottle of pinot noir was really worth it. The waitress didn't understand English very well and twice brought us the wrong order but it was great tapas anyway. 😋 Recommended the fish carpaccio and the foie shavings.

Yelp
I wavered between giving this place a 4 or 5 star because it's really good & reasonable. It's a cozy little bar/restaurant with lots of charm. We mainly had various appetizers such as carpaccio, tuna, cheese salad, potatoes, croquettes & Gambas. Everything was great. It's hard to say what I liked the best because it was all tasty. Our service was good the food took about 20-25 minutes to come out. This hasn't been my favorite restaurant in Barcelona but it's definitely top 10! I would recommend this spot you will enjoy it- Happy eating!!

Yelp
The Foie appy is outstanding. The proprietor and his staff were very helpful in choosing our menu and wine. It was such a wonderful experience that we returned two days later. We spoke no catalunya or Spanish but they assisted us. Simply wonderful.

Yelp
Terrific find for outstanding food and great evening. Owners were fabulous and helpful and suggested outstanding and reasonable wines to accompany the tapas. Absolute finest singular tapas dish we enjoyed in our travels, foie gras shavings in Brandy sauce. We had to go back two days later to have this dish. Nice quiet place with excellent staff. A dream tapas/enoteca where they really take care of you.

Yelp
Staying at the Hotel Colon next to the Cathedral, this was a short walk and didn't disappoint! Tucked away on a side street, this cosy little space was the perfect welcome to Barcelona. I was welcomed as a solo traveller and had a crisp white wine (just €4) in front of me whilst I checked out the menu. All sorts of Spanish and French cheese tempted me from the display case but I saw the duck confit salad so skipped the cheese. A couple of ham and cheese croquettes (just €1.20 each, I inhaled two, you *must* get at least one) and some bread with tomato (rustic bread that's rubbed with tomato for just a hint of flavor and grilled) and I was in heaven. The shredded confit duck sat on top of a beautiful fresh salad with tiny raspberries. One of the rare occasions I didn't feel the urge to ask for salt and pepper. I read my book, enjoyed another wine and people-watched. The check came to €16, which is amazing (I pay that much for a single glass of wine in Boston).

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick light lunch. Food was OK, did not blow us away. Service was really nice. The staff was really friendly.

Yelp
If you're looking for a little charm, friendly familial ambiance, very good food and reasonable prices, do have a meal at Onofre. Just a block from our hotel (Ohla), this establishment turned out to be a delightful surprise. We asked our server, a charming and helpful woman, for her recommendations and ordered exclusively based on those items. Not a single dish disappointed. We also asked for her recommendation for a nice tempranillo and we again followed her recommendation with a very moderately priced (19 euro) bottle. The wine, Ostatu, was fabulous, one of the most enjoyable Spanish wines we had on our trip, most of them priced at 2 and 3 times the price. Octopus is a food my wife has not found appealing in the past, but she devoured Onofre's "octopus timbale" dish as well as their grilled asparagus with a romanesco tapenade that was delicious. We liked the tapenade so much, we asked if they sold it (they sell some package items in the front of the restaurant), but they didn't. A standout was the tuna stuffed piccolo pepper which literally melted in your mouth. The tomato bread accompanied the dishes nicely. We finished the meal with a generously portioned selection of Spanish cheeses. For a wonderful casual dining experience with very good food and wine, Onofre is the place to go in Barcelona.

Yelp
We found this place as a late night wine bar for our last night in Barcelona, the only issue I had, wish we found it on our first night!! This place is amazing!! The owners are extremely helpful and enjoyable to speak to!! Probably the best wine bar I've ever been to in my life!! This is a MUST stop if you enjoy good wines, good food, and nice people, all at very reasonable prices!!

Yelp
As much as I love charcuterie and tapas, after being here for several days, I felt vegetable deprived. When I reviewed Onofre's menu with various salads, I had to eat here! We ordered artichoke salad which I devoured. I also devoured the salad that came with pear goat cheese sausage tart. The tart itself was delicious but I could only eat tiny bit of it because it was too rich. Eels and mushrooms were also delicious, though I felt badly about eating the baby eels when I saw how little they were. The oven baked crustacean was super rich and all I could taste was cream and more cream. If I was here on my own, I would have been truly happy just ordering their salads and vegetables, but my husband would have mutinied. One other note, great wine selection by the bottle, just wish they served them by the glass too.

Yelp
As noted in previous reviews, a quaint gem of a find in a touristy area laden with underperforming restaurants. So excellent was our lunch (goat cheese pastry pie - my wife's favorite 'bite' in Barcelona; asparagus, ham and pine nut salad; iberico croquettes, and a wonderful wine selection) that we plan to spend our final meal here. Given Onefre's small size, a reservation is probably wise during peak hours. As a brief update -- dinner was excellent -- the duck confit, iberico ham shavings and beef carpaccio all extremely delicious, as was our wine: PSI Ribero del Douro)!

Yelp
We ate here for lunch and were bowled over. We had a foie gras salad, grilled provolone cheese with raspberries, and a timbal of young beans with ham and sesame oil. Very high-end eating without being snooty. Portions are generous but not overwhelming.

Yelp
We were absolutely elated to find this place! Very charming little wine bar that happens to serve some amazing food as well. Ingredients are very high-quality and if you're a foodie you'll have to come here. Food can be a bit pricey but very worth it and the wines are very cheap yet exquisite and excellent. Very friendly service though I think only the lady speaks English.

Yelp
This is one of my all-time favorite Catalan restaurants in Barcelona. My sweetie and I go here periodically for a special treat. It's a classy joint with high quality food and friendly service, and yet the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. The food is served tapas-style so you can try several different things on the menu if you're quite hungry, or just order one or two plates if you just want a snack to go with your wine. Aside from the traditional selection of cured meats and cheeses, they also have quite a few patés to try and other dishes that often have fruit integrated in an amazing sweet+savory combo. A few of my favorite dishes are the duck confit with strawberry-balsamic glaze, the pear paté, and the pear goat cheese tartine. I'm drooling just thinking about it now!

Yelp
This little place was close to our hotel and we stopped in for some tapas and vino. The tapas were pretty good, and the vino was excellent. There are some other places that we liked better, but this place was alright. There are so many cool places in the gothic quarter, and each one is different and cool.

Yelp
Small place with amazing food and locals. Close to my hotel, and after a day of site seeing and a nap I needed a little something going. Relaxed environment, kind to this of us struggling to recall our high school Spanish, and everything on point food and wine wise. Cava, 2 glasses of wine and 2 tapas (pate w/ pears, goat cheese dish in pie crust with pear compote and side salad 18.50 Euro). Incredible deal for a night to read, relax and truly feel like I was part of a Spanish neighborhood... which was funny as this is in hotels central, but worth seeking out!

Yelp
My friend I were looking for small and interesting spot for a glass of wine and a snack on a Saturday evening. Onofre is exactly what we were looking for and more! Its long, intimate space in the front is like a combined specialty grocer, cheese and wine shop with a few high-top wine barrel tables where we could have a glass of wine and cheese plate. Iberico hams hung along the wall on one side and an innovative wine bottle display covered the length of the other wall (bottles for sale and consumption, a wide selection too). In the back is a full service restaurant with about 8-10 tables intimately arranged. I cannot comment on the restaurant food, but a quick look at the menu, it looked enticing. We ordered a selection of 5 cheeses. All were amazing! One word of warning, the portions were HUGE! In a good way. Comparatively, in the US, a cheese plate had one or two servings of each cheese. At Onofre, our plate had at least 5 servings of each! It was too much for two people, but we gladly attempted to eat it all. I assumed the gentleman behind the counter was the owner. He was very informative and hospitable. This was our favorite find in Barcelona!

Yelp
First of all , the food was very good. We had Duck Confit - crispy but not dry. Provolone o pastry filled with Fruits of the Forest (fresh berries) Also unique and tasty. Wine (Ribiero) was dark and enjoyable. Service was friendly and pleasant for non Spanish speaking. The place itself was difficult to find. After walking down a narrow hall to the back of place where there was a room about 10x14 packed in with tables and chairs. The walls were filled with wine shelves and lots of different wines. I wonder who and how they decide what wines to keep available.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped while staying in the Gothic quarter this past week. It became our favorite place for a nightcap and bite to eat! "Marisol" (proprietress?) was a delight and helped us non-Spanish speakers pick food and wine every visit. The chorizo here was FANTASTIC!! One night, Marisol insisted on us having the Rosé Cava (champagne) with our tapas...we hesitated, afraid of it being too sweet like in the U.S. It was wonderful! You must visit...and tell Marisol "hello"!

Yelp
Intimate and delicious! We ordered the ham croquettes, grilled asparagus with Romesco sauce, the vieira (gratined scallop) and the veal. All were served tapas style and in total these four dishes were a perfect amount for dinner for two. The presentation was beautiful. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Fantastic. Spent a few days searching for good tapas in a heavily touristed area and was ecstatic to find this diamond in the rough. Great food, even better service and staff- all so sweet. Please be sure to try anything they recommend as well as the morcilla and piquillo stuffed anything. Sad to not have tried their extensive wine selection, but will be back. Snooped around at all the charming little tables to see what they ordered and cannot wait to try it all. Thanks Onofre!

Yelp
Tried many tapas restaurants during our stay in Barcelona. This is by far my favorite! Small restaurant run and served by a sweet couple who serve fantastic food without the pretense. Artichoke salad with truffles, baby shrimp with garlic, cod carpaccio with caviar. Out of this world! Great selection of wines by the bottle. And completely reasonable prices. Four tapas, a bottle of hig quality wine and two desserts for less than €60! Only a block from the Palace of Catalan Music. Go there!
