Lovely meal here while visiting St Ives for the first time. Sausage on our breakfast was fantastic. Staff are friendly and the view form the place was amazing.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! I booked a table three days in advance and the process was easy and stress free (good thing too as it had been my first time booking a table somewhere!) The service was excellent, the fastest service I have ever received, with the food coming in about 15 minutes. The food itself was delicious, despite its speedy preparation, we all loved every bite. The staff were warm and friendly to everyone, and overall Onshore is a welcoming restaurant that I would definitely recommend to anyone, local or tourist!

We used to love coming here and it was one of my favourite restaurants in St Ives but since they have changed chefs it is not the same with things being removed from the menu and what is left is not up to the old standards expected of Onshore which is very disappointing. Probably an alright place to eat if you have not got the previous version to compare it to.

Lovely service, amazing food. Had a bit of a wait for the food but the quality of the food sure made up for it.

Wonderful atmosphere and staff. Cracking views out on the harbour, with outdoor seating. Lovely pizzas cooked in an oven while you watch. Nice for kids with patient and flexible staff.

St Ives used to be idilic, many years ago. It's now a little too busy for my personal taste. But the snack we had here was lovely and the view was charming, even though the weather wasn't too good on the day we visited. You must visit, if you have never been before.

I don't even want to give a star. I have waited for an hour but still don't have our meals. We had ordered two mains and a salad but haven't even got the salad. Just drinking water for more than half an hour. I've never seen like this terrible restraunt before. Moreover the attitude of the woman staff (quite fat and ponytail hair) is awful!!!!

We were a group of 8 - 2 were children. We swiftly ordered drinks and food a few minutes afterwards. No starters just mains. Then after waiting for what seemed like an eternity, (50 MINUTES LATER) we know this as we asked our other family members to join us later on and they had arrived thinking we had eaten. But we were still waiting ! I understand we were a large group and we might have to wait but everyone bar one person order pizzas. Which in a wood fired oven should take minutes ! We looked around the 8 other tables inside. Some arriving at similar time or just after. No one had any food. We could see into the kitchen and it did look like lots was going on. Only two chefs. After 50 minutes of waiting the chef called over to the table apologising because they had ‘only just found the chicken’ which was to be used on the pizza. God knows how old it must be if they don’t even know where they keep their stock!? Both the children were getting incredibly restless and fed up as they were both hungry. Which was making the meal more difficult as the food arrived we quickly tucked in. It might of been forgiven if the food had been outstanding . But it wasn’t even good. The kids pizza was shared and was ham and pineapple (we had asked the pineapple to be removed) but it hadn’t. 3 out of the 6 pizzas were burnt and very dry. The ‘Seabass fillets’ meal. Well it should be named ‘seabass filleT’ as only one was served. It was served on a mountain of tender stem broccoli. It was tasteless. No dressing. No flavour from the rest of the meal or the fish. It’s really dissapointing as you expect being by the sea they would pride themselves on their seafood options. I cook seabass often and it’s hard to get wrong. When the waitress came to check back we just nodded and continued not waiting to delay the process any further. When we finished the family with two children had to leave as they were both too tired to stay. When the waitress (mid 30s, dark hair) came to collect the plates asking if the meals were okay. We explained our dissapointment. But she did not give an ounce of empathy. She just turned her nose up and quickly asked well did you not say anything on the check back ? And we had said no we just wanted to get on as we had waiting long enough over an hour by the point of eating. She began arguing by saying well if you don’t do that we can’t rectify the order for you.. I think it was very cheeky and rude to say this as we had already waited long enough! If I had been with just my partner I would of got up and left. It was a joke. The couple behind us were served complimentary wine as they had waited a long time as well. There was no apology from anyone not even when the food arrived or before to prepare us for the wait. It was disgusting. I felt sorry for everyone in that restaurant. All the offered us was to take the children’s pizza off the bill!! The lady was so off hand and had no care for what had happened trying to blame us for not making them aware of the problems earlier. I mean if we had asked for 5 meals to be redone we would of delayed the whole kitchen and not been eating together. It was stupid. Our other 3 family members had got a table behind us just before our food came and they waited over 1 hour 15 before they go their food as well.Which was only a 1 starter to come with 2 mains and they forgot one persons meal. Just as we got up to leave the manger had come over to apologise. She was really nice. A bit older than the nasty waitress. But still it was a little half arsed when we were just out the door to apologise. I don’t know if was unstaffed in the kitchen but good training of staff would of help alivate the tension between customers and the experience. Really shocking. Hopefully they will turn things around soon or not take on so many tables at once if they can’t handle it.
