Loved staying at this hotel so much. It is super clean and a peaceful stay in a quiet, safe location. The whole hotel is covered in tatami mats including the elevator, which I really liked. Lots of washers/dryers available to use. Bonus was the free late night noodles and free ice cream any time. The public bath is not tattoo friendly, so I wasn’t able to use it during my stay, but I was already aware of the policy stated on the website so it wasn’t a problem (You can use tattoo covers if you’re able). Lots of food options and things to see right outside the door, shopping streets around the corner. Very close to the beautiful Sensō-ji Temple. not the closest to the asakusa subway stations (12-15 min to walk), there is one express subway close by and some bus stops. I would definitely recommend staying at this lovely hotel and would come back again.

I am so bummed to be writing this review. :( My friends and I decided to take a trip to Japan together for the first time. Onyado Nono Asakusa was our first of three hotels. It was by far our favorite of the three we stayed. The place was centrally located. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The problem is that while we were out during the day someone went into my room and stole a present that was purchased from the Don Quijote right down the road. Silly me I assumed that my room was safe to leave my belongings. I was wrong. I left a Monster Hunter Gore Magala creator's Figure (¥15,000) in the bag that I had purchased it at the end of the bed on the floor. The label was clearly visible for only that one day. When I came back that evening, my room was cleaned and I had new towels. The bag was still on the floor. Nothing to arouse suspicion. We were leaving the next day and we decided to have our souvenirs and presents shipped to the second hotel. So to pack everything up I put the statue in another bag and taped it up thoroughly. That's where it stayed until Thursday night in our third hotel. By this time I had accumulated a bunch of cool things from my journey across Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. I got way more than I could possibly bring home. So I decided to ship everything from the Post office. Before doing so I went through everything to take pictures of the inventory and prepare it all in bubblewrap. That's when I found my box still fully taped and wrapped. However, after removing the temporary coverings, the box was now broken and empty. Two things I would have never noticed since it was put back into the original bag and I taped it all up the day after it was left alone and unattended. There was no way it was done in transit through the delivery service. It was the single item I had initially purchased and was the only item left out in the room. It's not about the cost of the item... it can be replaced. It's about the fact that a hotel where we had such a great time, will forever have a tarnished memory because someone went into our private living space and stole something from one of their guests. That really sucks. Again we loved the hotel itself, but this is deserving of my first ever negative review. BEWARE! Do NOT leave anything of value out in the open. :( I have pictures and will post them in reviews that allow it.

This hotel is beautiful, laid throughout with pine floors and tatami, combining Japanese decor and European standards of cleanliness and luxury. The tatami means that it's strictly 'no shoes' (and no strollers, this isn't a hotel for babies) from the front door in, and like a ryokan they encourage you to walk around in bare feet and pyjamas. The onsen contains several pools at varying temperatures and is one of the best I've been to in a hotel in Japan. The problem with this hotel is its popularity with tours, and from time to time several dozen guests will arrive at once. This turns the reception into a mob scene, leads to chaos and long waits to get breakfast, and swamps the onsen. But when the crowds leave, this is a wonderful hotel and I will surely return

This hotel was absolutely spectacular! It felt so traditionally Japanese, the staff were very friendly, and the free drinks, ice cream, and ramen in the evenings were a nice added bonus. It was my first time visiting a natural hot spring, and it was such a tranquil and unique experience (do be warned that tattoos are not allowed and you may not wear any clothing). The laundry services were also very useful. This hotel is located in the perfect place, Asakusa has a great mix of city and tradition. It is also very close to the iconic Senso-ji temple, making for a lovely walk to Asakusa station. I 100% recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tokyo, you will love it!

Very convenient location, Fuglen coffee is right at the corner, tone of restaurants near by. Typical hotel in Tokyo, small room but the hot spring is very helpful after a long day walking. Free ice cream and noodle after spa.

Pros: - really close to sensoji, great location on the east end - hotel very clean - onsen super relaxing after a long day - yummy breakfast, though not a large variety of items Cons - this is the main one, the walls/floors are PAPER THIN. I can hear people talking outside in the hallway constantly, and people stomping around upstairs at like 4am even while wearing earplugs. Ive stayed at multiple hotels/airbnbs in Japan, and this is the first one I've been to with this problem. - the hotel is not actually what I'd consider close to any subway, its around a 10min walk from the entrance to all the lines nearby - the hotel room isn't small per say, but much smaller than the same kind of room I stayed at in kanda (see my other review)

Perfect spot as you are close to most tourist activities. Tiny rooms, you need to move everything around just to open your suitcase, but apart from that, its great. Not tried the natural spa yet.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and the experience was amazing. The space was clean and the onsen was wonderful (and open at convenient hours for jetlagged tourists!). The night noodles were good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the decor and tatami mats, and appreciated the shoe lockers and hotel attire that was provided. Rooms were a bit small for a long stay. The location is a wonderful neighborhood with lots to see and good food. The hotel is a bit far from the nearest train station and some more central Tokyo sites, but it was a nice, quiet retreat after the end of a long day. As a tip - the staff can help with luggage forwarding on to your next destination!
