Location was excellent! Near 2 Asakusa train stations and food/shopping steets were just on the way to Senjosi within 5 min walking distance. There is a small amusement park w ride just opposite. 3 stories Don don donki and Uniqlo were diagonally behind the hotel.Hotel was clean and neat, slippers and umbrella were available for use outdoors. Staff were friendly. In terms of amenities, free noodles was of decent size and drinks were free whole day. Onsen facilities were welcoming with free ice-cream.Overall very happy w the hotel and location .

Pros: - very clean. Shoe free-zone inside the hotel and there's a locker for your shoes. House keepers clean your room everyday and provide you with fresh towels. - close to Sensoji, so the neighborhood is very pretty and old-timey - tatami mats - very nice to experience it all thru out the hotel interior and in my room - felt safe as a solo female traveler - very nice staff - quiet - couldn't hear my neighbors at all and certainly don't hear all the screams from the amusement park right next door - free coffee station for everyone every morning (note there's Fuglen coffee shop is a block away and opens at 7am with v good coffee) - umbrellas provided to borrow - a minute walk to conbini (but that's prob true for most hotels in Tokyo) Cons: - small room (but this is Tokyo so kinda expected it) - room faces the alleyway so not a nice view but I did get a discount on the single room and was barely home anyway - slower wifi. If you need hotel wifi for work, I would reconsider. (I got really good eSim so it wasn't catastrophic for me) Considerations: - longer walk to the two closest train lines (Ginza and Asakusa lines) so beware of this when you book, esp if this is your first time. 12-15 minutes walk is long when you carry around souvenirs. I knew this going in and was fine with it for the most part. - breakfasts not included and is an additional fee per day. I personally liked it. Very simple favor profile, basic fare, very Japanese. But not much variety from day to day. You can get extra servings. I'm glad I got it for convenience's sake but I wish I didn't get it for everyday I was there. - If you have small tatts, get waterproof bandaids to cover it up. If you have large ones, you cannot go into the onsen and therefore this might not be the hotel for you.

Visited based on recommendations from a friend. First time staying at a dormy brand hotel. Great location and affordable. Rooms were traditional Ryokan Japanese style) no shoes inside, futon beds and low furniture, clean. Hotel provided robes to use on premises to visit restaurants and hot spring pools, as well as complimentary coffee/espresso/cappuccino, ice pops, evening ramen - nice touches. Lots of elevators. Crowded at times in the restaurant and pools. Breakfast was average. Bathrooms had some off odors. Good value for its amenities, location and opportunity to try the ryokan setting.

nice hotel but room is on the smaller if you have 3 luggages like us. it’s quite a distance to walk from the train station in the cold. I was surprised that they actually have something like a wet mat to roll your luggages over to clean the wheels of our luggages before placing them on their tatami mat. interesting also that your shoes need to be removed and kept in their lockers. the breakfast spread is so good. i love how you get alittle of everything like making your own omakase, very satisfying. clothes are provided in room for you to change into before heading out to their dining area or onsen. onsen feels very authentic. they have 2 types of ice cream flavours (free flow) at onsen floor.

Amazing location, ASAKUSA is in a beautiful traditional area of Tokyo. The oldest amusement park was opposite the hotel, the sensoji temple was a few minutes away, station was approx 8 minutes away but you walk through so many little shops that it doesn’t feel like a long walk. Breakfast was yummy, ramen and icecream at night was a great addition after a long of exploring. Oh and the onsen and free pjs was just amazing! Can’t recommend this hotel enough, we loved our stay. Laundry, free washing (including detergent) and dryers were 200 yen for 20 minutes

I have been to Japan many times, have stayed in many hotels in Japan and this is the worst hotel. The room is small, but acceptable because its price is cheaper than the hotels I stayed in Tokyo. However, the thing to mention here is the extremely bad, very bad staff attitude. Except for the male receptionists who are cheerful and supportive of customers, I have not seen a smile or support from the female staff. I feel like the staff here are always frowning, annoyed and rude. They look at customers with very unpleasant eyes. Customers just ask a simple question but they struggle to answer, what a jerk. That is not the usual service in hotels in Japan. It makes my short trip in Tokyo really uncomfortable. The hotel is very far from the subway. I will definitely never come back here again.

The hygiene at this hotel is impeccable. When you arrive you are not allowed to wear any shoes inside the hotel and you clean your suitcase before entering. The room is a good size, with a strong shower in the bathroom. Bed and pillow is quite hard but it didn't affect my sleep. I loved the onsen area. They have onsen, cold bath and a mineral bath as well as a sauna. It was great to use this after a day of walking. The only downside was breakfast, there is a good range and I did eat some of the food. However, I just felt like when I'd read reviews online it was praising the breakfast. For me though, I thought it was avergae. I didn't think it was worth the money. The hotel is a good location not too far from some of the metro lines and has a number of restaurants and supermarkets close by. Would definitely consider staying here again. The hotel is good value for money.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The beds were comfortable, it is a hard mattress so might not appeal to everyone but I personally thought it was comfortable. Rooms were small and tight as expected, but it was a good use of space. We didn’t use the public onsen as much as I’d like to but it was definitely enjoyable. It’s open until 1am so definitely can make the time to enjoy it. Not to mention the infamous breakfast buffet. Don’t think there’s any hotel breakfast that can beat the unlimited ikura (fish eggs) and blue fin tuna. There was a wide selection of cooked food to choose from, bunch of pickled veggies as well – all food tasted great, but surprisingly I didn’t particularly enjoy the cooked fish. It was slightly overcooked and the fish was dry. They change up the cooked food items every morning so that was nice. Location was great too! Walking distance to a couple of 24 hr food chains and Donki Asakusa so there were things to keep us busy when we woke up at 3am jetlagged. I stayed with my family, 2 young kids and overall a really cozy stay. Definitely coming back.
