Beautiful hotel in a great location. Right next to TD Garden, and very walkable to just about anywhere. Location felt very safe. Hotel was well maintained. Service was excellent. Eddy was very helpful to us during our stay. The water in the lobby was great, but a water fountain in the gym would be amazing. The fridge in the room was also a little small, but not anything to make a negative impact on our stay.

We are a couple, 2 night stay in early September in a King Deluxe room using points as a Diamond member. We tried to address these issues with the property after our first night and at checkout but the issues wee never addressed. Instead we were offered 40,000 points to just forget the problems. (1) We arrived and there was no valet and no one at the front desk. Key card machine was broken and we were simply asked for ID and credit card. No customer service skills. (2) Dog barking in a room a few doors away at night and we called to see of the hotel could assist in finding the owners who left the dog alone in the room. The dog parked for over 1 hour and stopped just before midnight. (3) The air conditioning stopped at 2 am and the room temperature climbed to 78 F. We called the front desk and reported the problem to which they agreed that it might be an issue and others had complained. I asked for a manager to call in the morning, but no one did. (4) We "lost" a pair of prescription sun glasses which were left on the dash of our car which we valet parked ($67/night plus tip). (5) Breakfast food was good, but the staff is very limited. I believe the waiter was also the chef. (6) Lighting is poor in the bathroom and the main room which is small. (7) They took our handtowels and washcloths after the first night but did not restock them. (8) There are 3 smallish bathtowels for 2 people. Could have used an extra towel given the size. (9) the hotel is convenient for the TD Garden, but after that the location and the neighborhood don't justify staying there for another type of visit. There are better options just 3 or more blocks away.

Came for a concert at the Garden and this hotel did not disappoint. Room was immaculate and slept so well. Bed was so comfortable and very quiet for this busy location. Perfect spot for walking distance to everything we needed. Loved the Drunken Clam next door too. Worth the price!

Google
The Pennyweight in Boston, and excellent choice for business and pleasure alike. My stay at the Pennyweight has been excellent, from the help the staff offer to the comfort and accessibility of the rooms, I simply cannot fault this hotel. From check in to check out, our room has been regularly cleaned and stocked. Any slight issues that have arose (Key cards not working and a slightly loud air-conditioning unit) were immediately rectified, with a change of room offered at the drop of a hat. The on site restraunt provides an excellent service, with a comfortable outdoor space to boot. If you are looking for a base for your vacation, or a quick spot to rest your head on a business trip, I would not hesitate to book the Pennyweight.

Room was small but modern and of good aesthetic. Comfortable bedding. I arrived after midnight and checked in with no problem, but the guy checked me in didn’t tell me anything about diamond member benefits (where to use F&B credits etc), and no room upgrade was offered, which I guess is a norm for Hilton now. Coffee at the lobby restaurant was terrible.

We stayed here 3 nights and found this hotel to be so centrally located. We were able to walk to so many places from here. Also the rooms were clean and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.

3 night stay in a King room. Room was clean and updated, a little tight in the bedroom. Nice spacious bathroom with large shower. Helpful staff, excellent walkable location. Valet parking only. Bar and restaurant on site.

Upon arrival, the valet attendant was very welcoming and the front desk staff was equally pleasant. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready, but they were accommodating and offered us another available room. The rooms themselves are nicely decorated, though quite small, and the mini fridge was also very limited in size. The main concern was during an emergency evacuation. An announcement was made, and multiple floors had to clear out while the fire department responded. Unfortunately, the evening attendant was neither helpful nor communicative. Guests waiting in the lobby were left without updates, and even after the premises were cleared, we weren’t informed when it was safe to return. Elevators remained inoperable for some time without explanation. The way this emergency was handled felt unprofessional and stressful for guests, which overshadowed the otherwise pleasant check-in experience. For that reason, I can only give 2 stars.

Yelp
We recently stayed at Pennyweight Hotel to see the Linkin Park concert at TD Garden on Friday night. All of the staff were so friendly and professional. This made our night and time even more pleasant than expected. I would like to name three individuals who gave us exemplary customer service. They were Jasyia at the front desk for our check in and he was helpful and answered our questions. We had some drinks and food at the hotel bar area, and Daniel and Jeffrey were so friendly and also gave us amazing customer service. All three of these employees are top notch.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing. We had been there several times when it was the Onyx and it was terrific. The Pennyweight was a letdown. All the staff were very friendly, except for the clerk who checked us in. He was surly and disinterested. That was not a great way to begin. My husband and I walk with canes and their handicap door didn't work. I reported it on the first day, but when we left a week later, it still didn't work. I was surprised that you had to request maid service the night before. At the very least I thought that they would make the bed without asking, but they don't. I consider that one of the treats of staying at a hotel. Otherwise, I can stay at an Airbnb and have my bed not made. Finally, my husband I, again using canes, had to load our luggage onto a cart, maneuver it into the elevator and bring it to our room. Then return the cart. Frankly for $400+ night, all these things should have been included by default. We have had better service at a Holiday Inn for half the money.

Yelp
We found the staff somewhat cold. This hotel does not have smart tvs! Who in this century does not have smart tvs in 2025! We walked 32,000 steps for two days and 20,500 today. Just wanted to stay in and relax tonight and catch up on a show. We stayed in the Omni Parker House for three night for the same price. I would not recommend staying here!

Yelp
This is now called The Pennyweight, and offered through Hilton Curio collection. From the time we arrived, we felt like VIP guests. Even though our room wasn't ready, we were hours early, they held onto our bags while we explored the area. Upon entering our room, we knew we were going to enjoy our three nights. It is well appointed with a nice wet bar area and an Illy coffeemaker. It would have been nice to have a larger trash bin under the sink, though. It was a larger room with plenty of room for storage of your luggage and shopping finds. The bar and lobby area are modern and comfortable. There is also an outdoor space attached to the bar area, a cute little market by the front desk. Valet was good, too. The front desk staff was some of the best I've encountered in my travels. Young , well put together, patient, polite and professional. We had tickets to a Celtics game, TD Garden is a four minute walk, so that was a breeze. Not to mention the amount of food and bars in the area. We walked around the North End, the Freedom Trail, Waterfront, West End, and only left to drive to Salem for the afternoon. I am looking for a reason to return to Boston just to stay at this hotel again. Thank you for everything!
