"There was O'o Farm, where visitors can take a farm tour with lunch on the slopes of Haleakalā, the larger of the two massive volcanoes that form the island." - Chaney Kwak

"Enrich your Maui trip by spending a couple hours at the upcountry O'o Farm, a resplendent eight-acre plot that offers two tours that take you through different areas of the farm itself, which uses all-natural methods and a unique no-till approach to get the most out of these rich volcanic soils. The breakfast coffee tour begins with a steaming French press of estate-grown Maui coffee beans, followed by a tour of the grounds and a memorable breakfast, while the lunch tour begins with a walk through the rows of vegetables and finishes with a scrumptious lunch. This farm supplies a few restaurants down in Lahaina, including Pacific'O, Feast at Lele , and Aina Gourmet Market, making it particularly interesting. This tour is a must for any food-lover in Maui. You can also buy bags of coffee by the pound to bring home." - Todd Plummer

Coffee and brunch tour was an incredible way to get an idea of how diverse Maui can be. The coffee included estate grown beans that had that bright berry taste and a light coffee flavor. You get a great tour of the grounds and the coffee plants, fruit trees, vegetable gardens and allspice trees! Brunch was delicious. We happened to get venison alongside fresh salad, foccocia and fresh fruit. A great experience and lovely staff!

Fantastic! We did the brunch tour. Amazingly beautiful trees (avocado in particular), coffee, brunch, flowers and birds. The tour started with an incredible platter of honey rolls. Then a lovely walk around the farm, to include seeing a portion of our brunch being picked. We aren’t vegetarian but this was our best meal on the island. The coffee was fabulous. We ended up with some unique Christmas gifts for friends and family.

We did the brunch tour and had a wonderful time. Our hostess did a great job on the farm tour and describing the different coffee processes. Food was really good. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

We did the lunch tour. The actual farm is nice, but the real highlight is the lunch - i would say it was our best meal in Maui besides Mama Fish house, but it was honestly really really really really good. I would say just going for the meal alone is worth it. The tour is very informative and you get to eat the plants right from the ground. I was surprised the farm isn't as a large as I would have expected, but it was definitely nice and a different thing to do. Our party had about 30 or so people, which I was shocked, I really thought it would be under 10, but we also went New Years Eve so I am sure a super busy time. Our tour guide was fun, and was a local, definitely a nice guy. If you are looking for an fantastic lunch that also has a tour of a farm this is the spot, plus its bring your own. I would definitely recommend this place, the food really was absolutely spectacular. Kudos to the Chef!

We recently visited and had the pleasure of tasting some of the most incredible coffee we’ve ever had. The scenery was breathtaking, and the tour was both informative and engaging. James, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic – his knowledge and passion for coffee shone through in every moment. He made the experience memorable with his friendly demeanor and attention to detail. We left with a deeper appreciation for the coffee-making process, and we can’t recommend this farm, and James, enough!

Did the brunch tour and it was incredible! I learned so much about coffee, I never knew how sweet the fruit is! Tour started with a coffee tasting of 4 different blends, light and medium roasts. Then we toured the farm, followed by the meal. The meal was beyond incredible. Every course was full of flavor and local produce, really 10/10. My partner is vegan and his meal was also incredible. We bought a ton of coffee from their gift shop to bring home and I don't know what I'll do when we run out! The true mokka was a highlight.

O’o is a small sustainable, regenerative farm located about 3500 feet up on the slopes of Haleakalā. We went on the Seed-to-Cup Coffee and Brunch Tour, and it was one of our favorite experiences on Maui. The tour began with a snack (a crispy, swirl pastry with tropical preserves/jams) and a coffee tasting - 100% Estate, a blend of 75% Colombian and 25% Maui, and a 100% Colombian - really interesting to taste everything side by side. The guide explained that due to the fires on Maui and a shortage of labor, their production has really suffered. Afterwards, you get a tour of the farm and learn about the various stages of coffee growing and production, but also get to see the wide variety of other produce that’s being grown on the farm. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about farming and really shared what made O’o Farm special. Afterwards, they explained the process of how to make a pour over coffee (this time using Ka’anapali-grown Mokka) and then sat down for brunch. And wow - the three course meal was awesome. Pretty much everything was from the farm, so it was super fresh and delicious. It began with a frittata and a green salad, followed by local marlin with black quinoa and assorted vegetables, and ended with a fruit medley and chocolate truffles with honey. The food was delicious and plentiful - go hungry. Just some words of advice… 1. If you go during the week, assume that you will run into some traffic around Pukalani, and there are several schools along the way, so it may take a bit longer than you expect. 2. It’s 3,500 feet up, so you will use more gasoline that you would expect getting there - so don't go there with a quarter tank thinking, "hey it's only 15 miles away..." 3. Also, given the altitude, it may be a little cooler than you expect, especially if it’s cloudy - bring some layers to keep warm. 4. The only facilities are port-o-potties (albeit super-clean), so take that into consideration. 5. If you are the celebratory type, bring a bottle of sparkling wine/champagne (they provide wine glasses). It made our brunch that much more special. We lined a hotel garbage can with a clean plastic bag, put the bottle in, and then filled the bag part way with ice. Just had to make sure it didn’t tip over on the way there. You can then dump the melted ice out of the bag before you leave. 6. Not sure if they have corkscrews, so you may want to bring a screw cap wine if you decide to go the still wine route.

My husband and I recently toured and dined at the farm for our honeymoon and it was INCREDIBLE. The experience includes a farm tour with breathtaking views, that was guided by our charming and knowledgeable tour guide Dove, and an impeccable farm to table gourmet lunch. This was particularly special for us as they were able to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions for me. Not only did they handle my food requirements with care, the entire staff made me feel so safe; not to mention the dining experience was delicious, fresh and creative! If you are staying in Maui visiting O’o Farms is a truly beautiful and unique experience that you will not forget.

Yelp
The farm tour was so informative and gun. It is nice to see and hear the passion the employees have for what they do. The lunch was excellent!! Every bite was worth the price. Knowing what we were eating came fresh from the farm made the experience special.

Susan Z.

Yelp
Great fun seeing and touring their farm. A lot of the produce grown is used for their meals they serve. We attended the lunch and it was perfect in every way. First the people were welcoming and were knowledgeable about the vegetables, fruits, herbs and coffee orchards. The food was decadent and nicely prepared. Chef Kenny explained the dishes of scrumptious salads, homemade sourdough bread, and fresh pacific Ono. Large portions and fresh brewed coffee with the dessert of homemade chocolate with pineapple mint fruit salad. We didn't want the day to end. Make Rez soon because they fill up quickly. The views are outstanding and they use farm to table methods to bring you the freshest meals possible. All the staff were top notch, Hutch, Kennedy, Kenny just to name a few. Bring you family and friends. This is also a great place to take visitors.

Michelle M.

Yelp
We loved the hospitality and service during our tour(which included lunch and coffee). A great demonstration of how farm to table could work, and how the people make the place a special and memorable moment in Maui. They have a great gift shop with plenty of local treats to share back with friends and family. I loved the coffee beans. Support local, for sure!

Yelp
BEST MEAL WE HAD IN MAUI. Upcountry farm in Kula, naturally cultivated produce with no tilling. A lot of places claim "farm-to-table" but you can't get any fresher by eating directly at the farm. Location is on pristine 8 acre land on the side of the mountain, it was beautiful and peaceful and though it was foggy and we didn't get "good views" it added to the tranquility of the experience. My oldest and I play Stardew Valley and he was so excited to see our farming fantasy in real-life. The entire tour we had no problems finding him because we knew he would be up-front near Anna, our guide, learning more about real farming. She was a FANTASTIC guide and we appreciated her sharing some of her personal history in addition to what was happening at O'O. The day starts with a walking tour of the farm where you learn why you see staff blowtorching the soil and see the bountiful crops they've so lovingly grown and maintained and other interesting facts. The highlight is a 5 course meal served outdoors, made from many of the ingredients you just learned about. They are plated in a way that's raw and wild yet not a haphazard mess with delicate touches like puree smears and sprinkling of small flowers that are part of the taste. I'll dream of the meal we had here and look forward to coming back another season.

Yelp
If you're skeptical about doing the coffee/brunch tour, don't be. This was easily one of my favorite experiences while we were in Maui. To start off: make sure you use the restroom before you trek out here! They only have portapotties (which they keep really clean). Tour starts off with a taste of their own roasted coffee (I think we had the yellow beans) - the hosts also provide milk and sugar if you need it. The tour guide will talk about the farm's history, what they're focusing on now, and what they hope for the farm in the future. You will be walking around the grounds so wear comfortable walking shoes! We got to learn about how coffee beans are grown (they even let you try the coffee cherries - I was blown away) and we learned so much about the endemic plants and agriculture on the island. And the best part... was the farm to table meal after!! Each 2 top got their own coffee carafe/water and courses. We had the coffee cherry honey buns, veggie frittata, and venison. The flavors are *to die for* and I'm sad I didn't get to eat at their restaurant, Pacifico. I HIGHLY recommend this off the beaten path tour! It really surprised me.

Cherie M.

Yelp
This is my second time coming back to the farm and boy it didn't disappoint. I came to the farm in 2019 and it was great! Due to COVID, they changed the tour slightly, but it didn't diminish from the experience. I loved that we got to see how they roast their coffee on the farm. It was so cool! We also got it learn about the history of the fame, growing on the land, and how it supports the local community. It was an excellent tour. The food..... it was so good!!!! The tofu and fish had to be my favorite dishes! The food is filled with lots of flavor and veggies. I left not full and so happy.

Yelp
Experienced the Lunch Tour for the 2nd time and it was just as fabulous as the 1st. Beautiful farm, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the meal was simply fabulous. Great views of the island are a bonus. You won't leave hungry. The portions are more than generous. Dietary issues? No problem. Provide that info when you register and the staff reconfirms throughout the visit. Oh and do bring whatever you'd like to drink (beyond the water, coffee and tea provided). While not long, the walking tour does require a good amount of standing and walking on uneven ground. About an hour before you sit down to lunch. Only downside ... outhouses for restrooms. Not too bad. Highly recommend this experience!

Mike S.

Yelp
Great farm to table experience! Had the tour and wonderful lunch of all produce from the gardens. They also have coffee trees and coffee is served at lunch. It's very good but buying small bags at the kiosk will seem very surprising expensive as they are Estate beans. Tour was informative for 90 minutes and has up and downslope walking. Word of advice is to trust your GPS with the address; you'll think you are driving to nowhere but you're not. They need more signage as the only one is at exactly the farm driveway uphill.

Amy P.

Yelp
O'o Farms is both an experience and a fantastic dining occasion. If "farm-to table" interests you, this is a must for your Maui holiday. Plan ahead and book your morning or lunch reservations early. It's a lovely way to spend a few hours of your day. Informational and truly delicious!

Eddie B.

Yelp
The coffee tour is a perfect blend of first-rate food, scenic beauty and interesting information. One of the very best attractions to experience on Maui.

Yueming Q.

Yelp
We got this farm visit idea from a local man that we met at a bar. Glad we made a Reservation and visited here. The tour guide is knowledgeable and told us a lot of local produce & fruit cultures, which made us to cherish this beautiful island even more. The breakfast was in the middle of the whole visit, all ingredients are from this farm. The coffee here is superb! I highly you come here to enjoy the coffee, please skip your morning coffee to get your whole day's caffeine right at the farm.

Grace H.

Yelp
We had a really nice time visiting this farm and our tour guide was awesome. The food was not what we were hoping for. There was a lot of salad and veggies but we were hoping for more of a variety of tastings... like fruit, perhaps a smoothie or juice, etc. The plates felt repetitive (salad and veggies, another plate of salad and veggies, and then some chicken with salad and veggies, then fish with salad and veggies). The price is good and it is very educational. The chef is great... the menu just needs to have a bit more of a variety.

Cindy C.

Yelp
Place was peaceful and tucked away from the business. The food was excellent! And the yellow coffee is the clear winner. We toured the grounds, had breakfast, saw the roasting area & more coffee. Overall good experience but 3 hours is far too long. We were good for about 2 hours and we were ready to split. If you're into learning about the farm & all that jazz, this is for you.

Jules X.

Yelp
What a great experience! Loved learning about the farm and seeing the different crops on the land. And the lunch was amazing! We were very full by the last course. Definitely a treat to try!

Melissa B.

Yelp
Food was ridiculously expensive for salad and combined 4 oz of fish and chicken. While a great concept, it looks like a neglected commune with port o-lets and no running water which seems unhygienic. I assumed a $150 lunch would similar to Flora Farms in Cabo or the beautiful Coastal Roots farm in San Diego. Instead it was a beautiful salad served with water and a really foul coffee/tea drink. Any restaurant that charges $150 per person for lunch should not be BYOB.

Diana G.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! We did the breakfast tour. The tour was informative, the food was beyond delicious and the coffee was extremely tasty! There is some easy walking through the coffee orchard and to the gardens, and on a sunny day the sunscreen is needed. It did last 3 hours, and breakfast split was a little over half way during the tour. The guide was both knowledgeable and humorous, and guests are given the opportunity to taste/smell a variety of plants and herbs, plus the sweet coffee fruit!! So glad we spent the time and money to take this very different tour and experience something unique and special in Maui.

Deanna P.

Yelp
We did the farm to table lunch tour and had an amazing experience. The tour was very informative and it was cool to see how items that we were going to eat were grown and harvested. We asked for all vegan items for lunch and the staff was very accommodating. Everything we ate was delicious and well prepared. Overall this tour was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone and I would do it again.

Erika C.

Yelp
Hold on, my sweet tastebuds! A true farm-to-table decadent experience awaits. The experience started with an educational tour of the farm ranging from coffee growth to general horticulture practices to showcasing the variety of gorgeous edible plants thriving on the property. The upcountry climate is also a sight to behold as it's much cooler and more damp than the valley. I learned that you can get an excellent idea of the type of plant growing simply by crumpling up the leaf of any plant and smelling it. We were able to smell and taste our way through the gardens with our knowledgeable guide. The grand finale was the fruits of the harvest with about 80% of what we ate coming straight from the grounds of the farm. Our five course lunch was plated and flavored skillfully and we were speechless as we ate. O'o Farms also did a great job of strategically placing everyone according to social distancing guidelines. Please book this when in Maui. I'm still dreaming of the freshness of each course and how well each flavor was thought out in all of the dishes.

Reagan D.

Yelp
First of all, Anna, you are a fantastic tour guide! Though new, she knew her stuff and found out anything that she wasn't sure about from other farmers. What a fantastic tour around a stunning farm. The 4 of us had an amazing time and learned so much along the way. We were here for the breakfast tour. We were all blown away by the food, from the delicious sticky bun to the beautiful salad chuck full of root vegetables and ending with the veg frittata. Every item was cooked/baked with passion and care. The dishes were bright, fresh, and flavorful. Then back into the trees to finish up the tour. Anna even found a chameleon for us to befriend, take photos and hold for a bit! Thank you O'o Farms and thank you Anna for simply amazing experience!

Wayne A.

Yelp
Phenomenal experience for foodies who also want healthy farm to table experience. I have only done the lunch and it was awesome. Please note it's bring your o n wine/champagne.

Pattie M.

Yelp
Hands down the best surprise on our vacation - fun, informative, inspiring. Fantastic menu and presentation. The food is fresh and delicious.

Dave C.

Yelp
Tour was out of this world! The farm is absolutely beautiful, with beautiful views as well. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable of the sustainable farming process and took us through everything in the farm and explained how all the plants work together. Coffee was very good although I didn't spend $90 for a bag of coffee. It is all light roast so if light roast is your thing, then you will not be disappointed. Onto the food : the food was incredible. We had four courses, and each one was better than the next. The chef really does a great job with quality flavor and creativity. Definitely would recommend this place if you have a couple hundred extra dollars to spare.

Georgia H.

Yelp
O'o farms was the highlight of my Maui trip. The farm tour was super educational and interesting. We learned about permaculture, companion planting, and so much more. The lunch following was truly delicious. Each dish was so intentiona. It was the best tofu I have ever had. The focaccia was so fresh and crunchy and the herbs really shines through. My group really enjoyed the experience. We spoke to the chef who was so sweet for a while about her experience working there and on the island in general. I would recommend the farm lunch experience for sure if you find yourself in the area. It's worth it to check out the Upcountry

Christine T.

Yelp
Recommended from a friend so we visited as a family with young children. Amazing experience with beautiful scenery and excellent dining experience. Would definitely visit again in the future!

Denise D.

Yelp
Incredible breakfast tour by Christian! Learned so much and had so much fun tasting so many plants. Highly highly recommend!

Yelp
A tour if O'O Farm is an absolute MAUI MUST do when visiting the Valley Island. We have been visiting our home away from home----and future "retirement home" for about a decade and have had incredible culinary experiences at Pacific'o resturant numerous times. On our most recent visit in Febuary our serving mentioned their O'o Farm on Maui where 98% of their fresh produce is sourced. So on our annual 4th of July visit we made it a point to make reservations to sign up for a O'O Farm Tour. We arrived at the farm at 10:30 am on a Tuesday and was greeted by several other families and our tour guide Elizabeth. The next four hours were one of our best experience on Maui. It was educational, fun and delicious! Elizabeth is one of the farmers and originlly from Fredrickburg, Virginia but now well versed in her role at O'O Farms. She shared the history of the farm, started by the owners Pacific'o Resturant in Laihaina who search for local source of produce. After several years of searching they purchased the land and began the process of cultivating a steading, reliabke and sustainable source they could assure quality. During our "hands on" tour Elizabeth guided us from the coffee trees, citrus and 125 types leafy produce imaginable. We spoke to our chefs and gardener about the challenges and thrill on managing the farm and how they prepare our lunch. Our tour group picked our lunch salad by going in the gardens and picking spinach, chard, flowers, collards, agrugala and about 23 items while 3,700 feet high on the Maui up country. After our "Hard" working the fields we toured the coffee facility and shortly sat down to an incredible feast! We were served our hand picked salad, tofu, fish and smoked chicken. All was exceptional----especially our coffee and desserts! Highly recommend O'O farm and say hi to Elizabeth she will make you smile

Yelp
Unfortunately, didn't get to be on a tour. We headed here after our quick hike. There was a group waiting for a tour, but we were there to just check out the farm and to get some coffee. The group seem to have a pretty great detailed tour of how the beans are harvested, grown, etc and also they were able to try some different coffees from the farm. I was able to listen to a little bit of it and was also about to look at some harvested beans. I ordered a latte. It was quite pricey, $5 for a tiny cup, but let me tell you...it was the BEST latte I have ever had. I usually drink my coffee with sugar...this was SOOOO good, it did not need anything! Even my dear husband who doesn't drink any coffee at all said it was good! We did not indulge in the luxury of their $96/lb bag of coffee, but did leave with one of their bags of other coffee. Overall, i wish this place was a bit more affordable, but with this being a microfarm, I definitely understand. Give this place a go! You will not regret!

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Did this tour as something new on island. I'm not a huge coffee fan, I need cream & sugar to make it taste okay to me. My hubby LOVES coffee & enjoys it straight. I asked for cream & sugar but was told this was a "tasting" and that's not provided. Very disappointing that I was unable to enjoy the coffee at the end of the tour at all. (There was coffee earlier where milk & sugar were offered) What's even worse is when I called to suggest they offer cream & sugar at the tastings for people who don't enjoy the strong coffee flavor, I was told they feel the coffee doesn't need either coffee or sugar. I feel this is an arrogant approach to people who may haves different tastes than them.

Hannah P.

Yelp
This was the highlight of my week in Maui. I love the farm to fork mission and the intentionality around everything they do. Christian was my group's tour guide and he had a wealth of knowledge and personalized the information to the people in the group. He knew plenty about coffee, local agriculture, and his community. I loved that he was able to offer tips to the gardeners in the group. The brunch was fantastic! You could taste the thoughts and heart that went behind each plate.

Mark C.

Yelp
5 stars is all I am permitted on Yelp but if I could give them 10 stars, I would. This was one of the highlights of our trip. We booked this because we love coffee and breakfast is one of our favorite meals. We got so much more than we expected. Our tour guide was one of those Hawaii stories you hear about where he had a great job, college degree, life in the mainland, etc. and just decided to leave it all and move to Hawaii. He was well read and knowledgeable on all of the local fauna including traditional stories of the native people of Hawaii. The tour was amazing but the food was remarkable. The chef served up 3 trays of breakfast with fruits, vegetables, and coffee that were grown and made right there at the farm. If you can add this to your itinerary, It's well worth headed to the upcountry to visit them.

Kevin Y.

Yelp
This is an unassuming tour that was a much better experience than I could have imagined! I have been on other coffee tours but the tour at this farm felt unique because it was a farm tour supplemented by coffee. We did the seed to cup tour starting at 8:30. The tour starts with a cup or coffee go get you going, followed by an hour in their onsite farm (they let you eat some of the veggies straight from the plant!), followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch grown on the farm and then a final coffee tasting. Highlights were the chef for lunch, wow! Never thought I would enjoy such a delicious vegetarian meal on a coffee tour. We bought a couple bags of coffee to go. The light and medium roasts are light, nutty and require no cream or milk (a pinch of sugar is perfect).

Kristine E.

Yelp
Nice farm walk followed my a jaw dropping lunch. Amazingly nice people serving a wonderful 5 course lunch. The views are mind blowing - seeing both sides of the island at once.

Kalen G.

Yelp
The whole experience here was amazing and absolutely astonishing! This will definitely be one of the best highlights, and be something I keep looking back on from my trip to Maui! Being on the farm observing all of the greenery and life, and over looking the island from up-high is a beautiful experience in itself. Then having a gourmet, 5-course lunch, freshly made with all the luscious vegetation which you were just touching. The same plants you were looking at. The same vegetables you were taking pictures of. Then, the same greens that you walked past. All of that combined, makes a perfect farm to table experience which you can't forget. Starting from the beginning, you start the tour off with about an hour of exploring the farm, and getting familiar with the place. The whole tour of the farm was very educational and enriching, and our tour guide seemed very knowledgable and passionate on what he did. We learned so much about the land, the crops, and what they stand for. The most interesting part was probably learning about their coffee, and what was even better was getting a chance to try real coffee beans fresh, straight from the source! I never knew that coffee beans were basically a seed, and they grow inside what looks like a cranberry! If you compare the coffee seed to an actual roasted coffee bean, you probably wouldn't even think they are the same thing. The fresh coffee bean-seed itself was pretty hard and kind of bitter, but the fruit around it was pretty sweet, and tastes just like a bell pepper. Then, as we came around, we walked through the whole environment passing by so many different plants and crops. I love how our tour guide called some sections "scratch-and-sniffs." For the most part though, a lot of the crops were edible. It's pretty cool to be able to eat flowers too. They even had finger lime trees, and we were even able to try finger limes fresh straight from the source as well! Finger limes are pretty expensive, and look like caviar, but green, but pack A LOT of flavor! They are sweet, but also sour... just like a real lime, and they kind of pop in your mouth. I definitely tried to savor the moment trying the finger limes. Next, we got a brief introduction from the chef, and what he was all about, and a brief overview of each course we were going to be served. I am actually really glad that we came here during COVID times because I've seen on past reviews that you would have to pick your own crops for your own salad, AND how the food would be served buffet style where there are many families or groups eating from one plate. However, because of COVID times, we didn't need to pick our own crops, and each group/family got their own dish. I like that process way more than what they had before because it sounds way more hygienic, also, by giving a dish per family, it allows for more time for beautiful food pics, which I was able to capture! A brief overview of all the dishes is that they were all fantastic! I'm not just going to leave it there but, you could really taste the freshness of each dish having each component of the dish freshly picked from the farm you just walked in. Also, each dish was so insanely vibrant in color, and in flavors. The dishes were also pretty filling, so you better bring your appetite! My favorite dish was probably the tofu dish, or the chicken dish. The tofu dish (Course #2) was probably the most vibrant color-wise, and that is because of the luxurious, luscious, deep, sexy pink puree. But also the dish packs a lot of good flavors. I'm not a fan of tofu, but man, this tofu was insane! It was so crisp on the outside and had such a nice sear and made it even more delicious. On the other hand, the chicken dish was close to flawless. At first glance, I wasn't sure if the chicken would have that good of a cook on it, but I was wrong, it was perfect. When cutting into the chicken, it was glistening in the sunlight while juices oozed out of it. I don't think I have ever had chicken cooked to the perfection the chicken I had that day was. It was so tender, so juicy, and so good. It also had a nice rub and sear on the outside as well. Then, being paired with the rich root vegetables and the bright luscious puree it elevated the dish even more. At the very end of our meal, which was super filling, we were given a very generous amount of their signature coffee. Very interesting ending a good meal with some coffee as dessert. I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I'm not sure what good coffee is like, but I was into it! We also got to chat with the chef and our tour guide at the end, and they're really cool people. I could honestly go on and on about the whole farm experience, and about each dish, but I really believe you should go experience all of this yourself! (p.s.~ I actually reach the word limit a few times on this review and actually cut out a lot of what I originally had... this is also by far my longest review).

Yelp
We had a fun tour and a very healthy & delicious lunch at the farm! Very friendly people and awesome service! It's a little pricy but it's worth it!

Yelp
We went on the O'o Farms Lunch tour which is upcountry in Kula, about an hour from Lahaina, and had the best meal we had on the island all week and one of the best ever, period! The chef is so creative and the food was fresh and delicious. All the items except a couple are grown right on the farm, even the coffee beans. How many times have you heard someone taking dried, powdered coffee and allspice for a rub on chicken breast, or a seared coffee cherry tofu on a rosemary tangerine purée? The chicken breast was juicy and the skin was perfectly crispy. All the sauces were magical. I'd recommend this tour to anyone, especially foodies and those who appreciate farm to table meals prepared by those who love what they do and how they take care of the land our food comes from.

Yelp
Went on the farm tour and brunch. Started with coffee (of course), yellow caturra, which was delicious. Farm tour was great, tasted a bunch of what they grow, including buzz buttons (you gotta try one!), finger limes (have to plant this at my house), and as many coffee berries as we wanted. Never had raw coffee berries before, they were interesting, very sweet, but spit our the beans themselves. Everything is grown using organic methods, but the farm is not organic certified. Then we had brunch. OMG -way too much food, and it was all delicious. This farm to table meal started with a honey cinnamon roll and fruit salad, then venison (local axis deer) and beet/root vegetable dish, lastly a frittata with bok choy and leafy dish. Of course coffee to wash this down, a red catuai pour over. They accommodated for dietary considerations. Way too much food, but it was all delicious. We finished by tasting a bunch of other local coffee, including their private reserve blend, and typica and mokka from Ka'anapali. Entire experience was 3 hours well spent. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
The tour and food surpassed expectations. Our charming and informative tour guide Anna walked us through the farm, introduced us to some fruits and plants I had never heard of before. Such a special experience to try some produce right off the tree, plant, bush, etc. The chef walked us through what he was preparing which included a vast list of ingredients grown on the farm. Such amazing food, presentation and pride in what their team prepares. Please do not hesitate to book this. I would recommend leaving the kids at home for this one and wearing some closed toed-shoes as some terrain is a bit uneven. Bring a bottle of white (maybe a Gruner Vetliner) - we didn't this time but it would pair so well with the menu! Because of this great experience, we have booked a reservation at their restaurant Pacific'o in Lahaina - can't wait!

Yelp
I did the tour and family meal experience. It was an inspiring experience, I definitely want to build a small home farm and practice these farming techniques. Go for the farm fresh experience and support all natural farming. Ask questions and learn how to grow vegetables to minimize ecological damage.

Yelp
We had an amazing tour, coffee and food was amazing as was the staff. Ryan the farm manager clearly knew farming and has done an amazing job growing various crops including the coffee. The general manager and chef also were quite attentive. This tour and meal is highly recommended.

Yelp
Was hoping for a more educational tour. Ended up being more of a pick your own salad greens and eat lunch with pretty scenery experience. The tour through the farm was relatively short with little info provided about the fruit trees, vegetables, etc. Our group had 32 people which seemed like too large of a group to make it an interactive experience. The pick your own salad greens took up a large portion of the tour and couldn't be done by some of the more elderly couples present due to the uneven terrain. The lunch food was delicious but it was served family style . So if you didn't like all the dishes you ended up with a small amount of food for a hefty price tag. I would have preferred picking one main entree versus being offered a little of each of the 3 main entrees. The chicken entree was superb. They ran out of the chocolate desert before everyone got one. Looked like the tour may have been overbooked by a few people. I feel like this tour still has room for improvement and would spend my money elsewhere next time on Maui.

Yelp
Visited O'o farms this week for the farm tour and culinary experience! Wow! What an experience, the farm tour guide was very knowledgeable and nice. The tour is about an hour and touches upon so many interesting plants and gardening techniques. Next was a 5 course lunch and what a superb lunch it was. An explosion of dense, complex farm flavors that did not disappoint. Highly recommended this tour, really top notch.

Yelp
I must say.... what a great interactive and educational day I had. In the beautiful Kula ... Oo Farms became a reality from the owners of Pacific'O and Io Restaurants. They've certainly brought the "Farm to Table" reality. We were greeted by Eldon Allen (I wonder if I spelled his name right ). A very animated and knowledgeable man that is passionate about his job. He gave a brief explanation of how Oo Farms came to fruition and what we would be expecting. Eldon began to take us on a short walking tour explaining a crops along the way and backgrounds of what is being done in the property. When I say passionate, Eldon is passionate. Ask him any question... and he will answer. After a short tour we found ourselves by a brick oven with the chef explaining what our lunch would be. All this while a plate of freshly cut Maui Gold Pineapple was awaiting for us to enjoy. After a short talk, we were shown where we'd have our lunch and we'd place our belongings before headed out to forage for our salad. Now fishing for our salad was an easy task... but keep in mind that you'll be walking throughout the property and your tour guide taking and giving information on how to crop your item, produce surrounding you, encourage you to taste this and that for you to experience. Once we were done, we quickly sat and got to enjoy our 5 course meal. 5? Yes...5!!! First to bat was freshly focaccia bread. Automatic and tasty. Followed by our foraged salad with a vinaigrette that I wished they bottled to sell. A vegetarian entree with chayote, russet potato, quinoa black rice braised greens and a macadamia and basil purée (not pesto). Quickly followed by a mahi-mahi entree with fennel curry leaf, beets, daikon, Shungiku and cauliflower mash. A coffee orange all slice rubbed chicken entree with carrots, potatoes, parsnips and a cream sauce that I can't recall. To top things of was freshly brewed French pressed coffee with their Cherimoya, persimmon and banana chocolate decadence. The lunch is based on the seasonal crops. Everything is fresh and made in the premises and don't forget it's BYOB. This would be a great day with friends. A beautiful day for baby shower, lunch date or who knows.

Yelp
Great experience learning about different farming techniques and different types of produce. It was a relaxing day learning, experiencing upcountry Maui, and enjoying some authentic healthy natural food. The O'o farm staff is very friendly and really made it an enjoyable day. Bring bug spray and a light jacket (even during the summer- it can get chilly). This is a great romantic date idea or even a fun outing with the family.

Yelp
What a pleasant visit and such a delicious, attractive meal too. Molly, our tour guide, offered wonderful commentary about the farm and its workings. It was the perfect start to a perfect day.

Yelp
Must do while in Maui, whether it's your first time on island or your 80th. The lunch is exceptional! Starter course, 3 entrees, farm-grown and roasted coffee, and dessert. We loved the tour learning about local produce, sustainable and organic farming, the care this operation provides to the island community, and more. Ryan our farmer guide was superb and the Chef was great to meet and learn about our 5-star meal. We had been wanting to do this for a couple years; and it was definitely our loss to not lock this experience in sooner despite always visiting upcountry. We will return and cannot recommend it enough. If you've never visited upcountry for the bi-coastal view and lush climate, make O'o Farm your reason to go!

Yelp
We did the coffee tour and breakfast. I give 10 thumbs up. The staff here are incredible. I learned a lot about the process of how to grow coffee to barista and their farm. Rainey (sorry, if I spelled her name wrong). Answered all my questions. I walked out there being blown away by the bio-dynamic eco system they have, and what Mother Nature provided. Chef made an awesome breakfast (used what is current veggies /fruits in season). Frittata, two kinds of delicious salad , cinnamon rolls and macadamia nut spread. Ono grinds! book your appt aHead of time. They get booked fast.

Yelp
The breakfast tour is way over priced. The farm tour was relatively brief with little substance unless you are interested in the intricacies of growing and refining their very expensive ($24 for a small bag and not all that great) coffee The breakfast was only 3 courses. A sticky bun with fruit, a salad and a frittata. A total ripoff at $120 (plus tax and tip). We had previously taken the lunch tour which we highly recommend. The farm tour was far more informative and the lunch was great !

Yelp
Highlight of our whole Hawaii trip!!! This was an amazing experience and I felt like I was on top chef! We were staying in Maui for a day and I did my research ahead of time. After searching options for lunch after the crater sunrise - this gem popped up! I'm so glad it did, I've never had so much fun and experience great wholesome organic meal in my life. Make sure to reserve a spot a month ahead of time. O'o farms is owned by chefs that own a few restaurants in Maui and opened up their farm for this amazing tour. The tour itself lies in up country Maui - absolutely stunning views and weather (chilly bring a light jacket and tennis shoes!) The tour starts by the parking area where they greet you and check your name off for reservation and off you go! The tour includes a tour of the farm (coffee, lettuce, edible flowers, snap peas, etc) and lunch from the produce you picked/wood fired grill fresh catch/chicken and tofu! The tofu entree was our favorite. Lastly you get chocolates, French press coffee from their farm, and dole pineapple for dessert. At the end of the tour you end at the coffee roasting area and can buy their beans after the tour. During the tour they encourage you to pick, touch and taste whatever you wanted. It was an incredible experience to taste produce right off of the trees! The lunch is a community style table and you get to meet all kinds of people from across the globe. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this tour! I will probably go back next time I am in Maui :)

Yelp
We LOVED our tour at O'o Farm! The tour of the farm itself was educational and very interesting. Then the most delicious lunch was served with gorgeous setting and views. Can't recommend this tour enough!

Yelp
Completely exceeded my expectations! Cool tour of the farm. You also get to pick all the fresh ingredients going into making the salad from the farm garden. Rah our guide is so engaging, sweet and hospitable! They have prepared a four course lunch for us, absolutely delicious, showcasing the freshness of the organic produces. The layer of flavors were complex and nuanced. If you enjoy great food and good company Up country with fresh air, this is for you! The entire crew were warmly welcoming, like family!
