They always have good stuff here. If you love stationery, this is THE place. So many cute stickers and washi tapes to choose from. They've got their bases covered in regards to the selection of products--skincare, home goods, snacks, figures, varying plastic baskets and containers for the kitchen and home organization.... They even sell some nice planters for gardening too. You might find that you spend a good chunk of time browsing here lol

Absolutely love Oomomo, me and my gf stop in here any time we’re in the area. Lots of trinkets to look through and very happy with their model car/hobby section and even more delighted to see they started carrying the 1:64 Aoshima Kaido racers I’ve been looking for everywhere!

Google
Large Japanese home products store where you can find toys, makeup, dining products, snacks, drinks, stationary, etc. You'll likely be able to pick up something you need each time you visit, albeit you may find cheaper prices elsewhere. It has a seperate entrance to First Markham Place, and parking is difficult to find at this plaza. They have another location in North York.

All things Japanese. It gets 5 stars because there is nothing else really. I bring my out of town friends, and it's always a hit. From cute everything to Gundam models, anyone who appreciates Japanese arts and craft, toys, cookware, snacks will have a blast.

Niko A. gave me tremendous service when I dropped by the store on June 3rd. I was looking to pick up an Initial D model kit for my younger brothers birthday. He searched the entire shelves, went to the back and even went through new pallets that they received to locate the item for me. Unfortunately they didn't have the item I was looking for and Niko even provided me with suggestions on how to get the car model my brother wanted. He went beyond the call of duty. Great and clean store with great people like Niko working there as well. Would highly recommend dropping by. Really cool stuff in store.

Google
Oomomo is a delightful discovery for anyone in search of authentic and affordable Japanese products in Canada. I’ve visited this store several times, and it never fails to impress me with its vast selection of items, from skincare to kitchenware, all at very reasonable prices. Whether you're a fan of Japanese culture, in need of practical everyday supplies, or just looking for unique finds, Oomomo has something to offer everyone. One of the main draws for me is their skincare section, which features a wide range of both Japanese and Korean products. What I appreciate most is that many of the skincare items—whether you're looking for sheet masks, cleansers, or moisturizers—are priced much lower than what you would typically find at other beauty retailers. You can often find popular brands like Hada Labo and Etude House at an affordable price, making it easy to maintain a beauty routine without breaking the bank. The quality is consistently good, which is another reason I keep coming back. Beyond skincare, Oomomo excels in offering everyday household supplies. Whether it's kitchen gadgets, cleaning supplies, or storage solutions, I always find practical, well-designed items that add a touch of Japanese minimalism to my home. Their selection of dishes is particularly impressive. From elegant tea sets to quirky ramen bowls, you’ll find high-quality ceramics that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It’s also a great place to pick up affordable bento boxes and chopsticks, perfect for those who enjoy packing lunches. For those with children, or even those of us who are just young at heart, Oomomo has a fantastic collection of toys and stationery. The toy section offers unique, creative items that can’t be found in typical toy stores. As for stationery, the selection is a dream come true for anyone who loves cute notebooks, pens, and sticky notes. You’ll find everything from kawaii-themed items to sleek, minimalistic designs. Whether you’re into journaling or just looking for new supplies for your office or school, the quality and variety of Oomomo’s stationery are hard to beat. One of my personal highlights whenever I visit is the Japanese snacks aisle. It’s filled with all kinds of goodies—rice crackers, mochi, Pocky sticks, and so much more. It’s easy to spend a good amount of time here just deciding what to try next. If you love exploring different flavors, Oomomo offers a great selection of sweet and savory snacks that will satisfy any craving. They even have a mini freezer stocked with mini ice cream treats, which is perfect for a quick refreshment, especially during the hot summer months. The store’s layout is clean, organized, and easy to navigate, which I really appreciate. Even when it gets busy, it never feels overly cluttered. The staff is also friendly and helpful. I’ve never had trouble finding someone to assist me when I needed help locating a product. They’re knowledgeable about the stock and always greet customers with a warm smile. Overall, Oomomo stands out as more than just a dollar store or discount shop. It offers a curated experience where affordability meets quality. Whether you're buying skincare, household goods, or unique snacks, the quality and price point are excellent. What makes Oomomo unique compared to other stores is its dedication to bringing a little slice of Japan to Canada, with a thoughtful selection of products that reflect both tradition and modern trends. If I had one minor critique, it would be that some of the stock rotates frequently, so if you find something you love, you may want to grab it before it's gone. That said, the variety is constantly refreshing, so there’s always something new to discover. In conclusion, Oomomo is a fantastic store for anyone looking to explore Japanese and Korean products without paying a premium. With its affordable prices, excellent variety, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s definitely worth a visit, whether you're picking up skincare, kitchenware, or just indulging in some delicious snacks. xx kellychan360

Google
I came here so many times for Asian snacks. But they have so many things one could get, for example, cosmetic, food, home decor & hardware, school supplies, apparels, toys etc the list could go on into infinity ❤️ I love their gadgets by the way. You don’t know you need until you see them.

Yelp
First time coming here and they had so many cute stuff! I ended up grabbing a couple of stationary items that I couldn't find elsewhere that I was looking for: such as mini staples for my mini stapler and some 0.9 lead I use (this lead was hard to find and finally found it). They have so much cute stationary to choose from which was amazing. I came on a Thursday around 2:00pm and it wasn't busy at all which was good. I read reviews that the place does get packed and I'm glad it wasn't. They have everything ranging from toys, stationary, hardware, makeup, cooking stuff and more. Finding parking wasn't too hard but I noticed that a lot of individuals parked wrong and take up about 2 parking spaces which was annoying.

Yelp
LOVE this shop filled with Japanese goodies: housewares, cleaning supplies, snacks, stationery, collectibles/toys, and cosmetics. It's got everything to make life easier and more joyful! Enjoy discovering new houseware items that make cleaning or organizing easier. Pricing is affordable. Staff are friendly and helpful! Part of First Markham Place, it's a busy area, but there is lots of parking available. Follow their Instagram account for latest updates, and special events!

Yelp
Absolutely love Oomomo! I can never leave without getting something. The store is pretty big. Layout is nice and beautiful, products are organized. They have various departments like cosmetics, kitchenware, cleaning, arts & crafts, party & decor, food and snacks etc. Majority of their stuff are made in Japan which is my favorite and depending on what you're shopping for the prices are pretty reasonable. If I can't go to Japan, I'll make sure Japan comes to me. I came here looking to get some kitchenware. Ended up purchasing two bowls and a bag of cookies. Highly recommend shopping here.

Yelp
I love coming to Oomomo. I always leave with something, even when I don't really need it. They sell everything you can imagine. The place is big and it's always busy, especially on the weekends. They have a lot of Japanese products at very affordable pricing. I made my toddler a cake for her birthday, and needed a cake box to bring it over to my in laws. Of course, Oomomo sells cake boxes. Perfect fit and size too. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Yelp
A great place to find knicknacks, home supplies, kitchenware, Korean skincare/ makeup and so much more. The space of this place is huge and you can find a lot of things here. You can probably spend a lot of time just browsing their aisles as well. It's busy on the weekends so be prepared to be bumping shoulders with some people while you browse the store. I came here to look at some soy sauce plates since their selection of kitchenware is massive and of good quality. Their snack section is also really good with a variety of Japanese snacks that are imported. I was able to also find these strawberry jelly filled chocolates that use to come in a tube while growing up (loved them!) and it was so nostalgic. Everything is final sale so be aware of everything you're purchasing before ringing it at the cashier. I found that their makeup section was really dug through by customers, so it wasn't the cleanest area to look at/ swatch the makeup on your hand. Items in the store can range from $3+, with a lot of items being very affordable. Come check out the great selection of everything here, you won't leave disappointed or without any goodies to take with you!

Yelp
Welcome to the confusing world of inexpensive Japanese home products. For like ever, Daiso was the go-to place for cool Dollar-store type home goods & foods. Then there appeared to be some sort of shake-up and now Oomomo, a much larger store ( think TJMaxx vs. Dollar Tree) has occupied this niche. The Toronto Oomomo was about 3 times the size of most Daisos I've frequented. The quality of the goods was about the same as Daiso. Though with inflation, it seems like the low price on most goods was CDN$2.75 (about US$2). The food section was not as expansive as a Daiso. If wandering through this type of store looking for knickknacks & value-priced household items, plus specific Japanese toys, you could kill a few hours I Oomomo. Like all stores of this ilk, stores are clean and staff are efficient.

Yelp
HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE PLACE!!!! This place requires like over an hour to go through everything. Love the anime stuff, and the household items. Also gets very busy. This is not a bargain center as some reviewers have claimed, but it does have an assortment.
google avatar

Wynne L.

Yelp
This store is almost like our version of Daiso. This huge store has a plethora of products. It starts off with cosmetics, skincare, and hair accessories on the right when you enter. There's also kitchen and housewares, organizers, stationery, a toy section with popular anime, Asian snacks and beverages, and generally lots of products that you don't really need but are there and not expensive. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program to earn points.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
This was described to me as a Japanese dollar store so my immediate thought was that it would be similar to Daiso. There are already quite a few of these Asian home goods stores including One's Better Living and Miniso. First impressions upon walking in...this place is gigantic! They have merch organized by types of goods ranging from kitchen stuffs, gardening, stationery, to an entire section just for organization. The prices aren't quite $1 cheap but they are very good in some departments. I was impressed that they had clear umbrellas here for only $3 a piece! Their skincare, while they carry great Korean brands, are far from that dollar store vibe. A friend that introduced us to this store said that the masks here are the best deal. I saw that you can order online and pick up in store. They have a special section that helps customers with their pick-up orders. I can imagine that you'd spend a lot of time browsing in here, so there are restrooms. On the day that we were there, they were closed and not open to customers.

Yelp
Love Oomomo; I always make a stop by when I'm at First Markham Place. Too bad all their gardening stuff is a bit skimpy this time of the year, maybe because it's the dead of winter. I usually love to come here for their large white nursery pots (10+ inches) that I can use to line my decorative pots. They're only $4 bucks. They don't have any this time. In fact, all the pots are wiped out. However, I did find a sturdy little stool for around $12. A bit more than Canadian Tire, but I find this one to be sturdier and it comes with a handle. Another golden find is surprisingly this random pen eyeliner I picked up for $5 or less. Not expecting much, but the pen lasts longer than my popular Heroine branded eyeliner I got from Japan, and the longevity of wear is about the same. Anyways, I love it here for office supplies too; I got a cute elephant stapler. They have every sort of container here that you can even think of, and I found a perfect sized bottle rack that fits my rectangle Lechuza planter as a nursery pot liner.

Yelp
I can shop here all day! They have so many things to see! From cosmetic to household supplies, to kitchen accessories, to cooking and baking utensils, to office supplies and stationery, etc!! In the US, we have similar store, Daiso. But this Oomomo is like double to triple the size of Daiso I have been to. Definitely a place to browse.

Yelp
Our first time at this store and it's cute with tons of stuff but since we don't live in Markham, we really don't need a lot of the stuff they offer. Tons and tons of stuff to look at from face mask to gardening to arts and crafts to kitchenware. Prices are not cheap though but you can find lots of cool Japanese essentials and more.

Yelp
Great massive 'low dollar' store that offers a multitude of practical products in fun designs. Its organized into main categories, is very well maintained and decently stocked. Also features limited affordable authentic licensed Disney, Sanrio & Star Wars products. This location also allows online ordering and pickup. Chain offers a membership program for special offers. On the' down-side' I was advised by the cashier that they will no longer accept a digital version of your membership number, so now you must bring the physical card when shopping. ( Find me on Instagram @aida.loves )

Yelp
The better of the two Oomomo stores in Toronto. This location has more skincare, home organizers, and craft supplies if it's what you're after. Note that the J and K skincare here is more expensive (~couple of dollars more here and there) than at other similar stores like C&C or T&T that may have similar products- I would advise to shop around. For example, I bought a cleanser here for $15 and it was $13 elsewhere. But it's definitely a great place to test products.

Yelp
What's not to love about a Japanese Daiso-type store? I always leave with a full basket of highly non-essentials ... The store is always busy. Their beauty and personal grooming implements are excellent, the prices of mirin, rice vinegars and miso soups substantially less expensive than J-Town. Clean store. Something for everyone here. But ... Still doesn't beat the real 100¥ places in Japan. The basics are here. The quality of most of their items is stellar.
google avatar

Biyu X.

Yelp
It was my 2nd time coming here. The 1st time I cane here for the grand opening. There were a lot of ppl around, and same as this time. But I felt like the prices of the products went up a lot this time. This store has a lot of creative products that ideas coming from Japan. Everything is small, cute, iconic, and easy to organise. And I also bought some snacks. The lineup of checkout was so long, but they have so many checkout counters and staff, so it was not taking time to wait.
google avatar

Johnny W.

Yelp
Not bad place to walk around for your Japanese product fix. They play j-pop over the speaker as you shop. But we notice that some food products or drinks are much more pricier than the exact same product found elsewhere such as at T&T Supermarket. Still worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. They accept all the three major credit cards including AMEX if you don't have the cash on you.
google avatar

Yelp
Oomomo is really no different than Miniso or all the Korean or Chinese-owned so-called sushi restaurants around the country. It is an inauthentic version of a Japanese shop masquerading as the real thing. Is that fake 'Japanese' restaurant downtown called Momofuku still there? They have a Japanese name and sell many Japanese products, but no one at the shop speaks or reads Japanese, the owner is Chinese and half the products are actually Made In China or Singapore, etc. With that said, they do have a large selection of Japanese goods from stationary to food items to cosmetics and some are quite good and actually from Japan. The store is large and busy and quite packed too so likely one would find many things from the genuinely useful to the kitsch. Two (more) things: Firstly, stop having your employees begin every announcement with 'ohayogozaimasu' (Japanese for 'good morning'). It was the afternoon and 'ohayou' is only acceptable until noon. Moreover, the accents were horrible. With all due respect, five minutes on the net should improve the attempt at Japanese twofold. Secondly, the prices are almost a rip off. The same noodle item sitting on the shelf here for $13 is $10 at Heisei. And this chain is ten times larger than Heisei, which is also a single location. Hmmm.. someone is making a good penny with these margins.

Isabel L.

Yelp
Very Disappointing Experience I have just bought three bag clips of the same made and they are made in Japan. It is of such poor quality which is absolutely rubbish as it does not clip on any bags. A complete waste of money!! The store has a no refund and no exchange policy which I find rather unacceptable. I have also noticed other items have gone down in quality. The china tea pots are now made in China instead of in Japan. So it is not Japan Living as the company would like you to believe. Personally I will not shop there again unless I can have an exchange of the items I bought that are unsatisfactory and substandard.

Yelp
Whenever I go to First Markham Place I always make it a point to visit Oomomo. This is the Japanese version of a dollarama. Since I like everything cute, this is my go-to for BT21 stuff (Army here!) and Japanese skin care. I also like their stationary as well as some unique household items. You will spend a lot of time here just looking at cute stuff.

Yelp
The first and bigger Oomomo in the GTA. Prices no longer start at $2. It is now $2.75. Prices have also crept up. A lot of stuffs used to be cheaper but not anymore. So much variety to choose from. For sure, you won't be able to come out of the store without at least one items :) No refunds so be careful what you buy.

Yelp
In lieu of working extra hours these days, I shortened my workday a couple of Tuesdays ago. I had to pick up some gifts. Afterwards, it dawned on me to visit Oomomo. It was along the way and I haven't been there. There was plenty of parking at around 4 pm. I parked and walked over to the store. I believe that it used to be Golf Town. This store is massive. I felt like I was going through sensory overload. There was so much to absorb. I eventually had to put away my phone, as I was taking way too many photos of cool items. I grabbed a basket and walked around. What's not to love about a $2 Japanese store? If it doesn't have a price sticker on it, it's $2. Otherwise, everything is pretty affordable. I spent a ton of time in the beauty section. I looked at everything from sprucing up my fingernail game, to sponges to apply foundation and more. While I was there, I stumbled upon oil control film. I have been eyeing it for months. Amazon.ca sells it for $28, which is a ripoff. This place had them for $6.50, which is much more affordable and works like a charm on my oil-slicked face. The noodle section is deadly and extensive. I spent quite some time looking at all the different flavours and types, including Hello Kitty-branded noodles. The snacks are incredible! I ended up getting a small canister of seaweed chips. They were small, but delightfully yummy. I also got melon candy that I devoured. So good! This store has housewares, travel accessories, a lot of cute socks and toques, and more. You can even get beverages from a fridge. There was a bit of a wait at the cashout area, but it wasn't bad. I had a nice woman helping me out. I paid using a debit card. I like that she handed my receipt with two hands, which is so Japanese. I always feel like I need to bow or curtsy or something... haha! You can also order online and pick up your order at the store. There's a dedicated lineup for pickup orders. I had a wonderful experience. I don't know why I waited this long to visit the store. I will return to get more snacks, raid the noodles, and blot my face with film. (396)

Yelp
Whenever I grab lunch in the area, I always stop by this location. Some of their items are unique, and reasonably priced, but not always. I was looking for chopsticks as part of a birthday gift for a fellow foodie, but whoa! A whole aisle of chopsticks! I have to say, it took me a while to select a few! Every size, color, pattern and shape that you can think of! I definitely found what I was looking for, along with some Japanese bowls. The line up to pay is long on weekends, so I tend to come early, or on a weekday.
google avatar

Jacqueline K.

Yelp
Such a great store - there's so much inventory that I spent over an hour there and think I could have spent another two hours. I deducted a star because I personally wished that their bowls/dinnerware had slightly more variety. There is a ton of offerings but they seem so similar.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
This rating is for their new rewards program and poor customer service. I was asked to register for their new points card and because of their ridiculous pick up process, I had to go back another day to pick up the card. According to two staffs, it would be a "customized" card. By the time I received the pick up email, I purposely drove all the way there just to find out that the card was 1) not customized and 2) it was just a random card from the stack at the counter. I was asked for an ID but no verification from the cashier nor did she ask me for my email. Unless you plan to spend $50 per mth or you live 5 mins away, it's probably not worth getting it. 10 pts per dollar, 1000 = $1 off and points expire in one year if inactivate. So you need to spend $100 just to get $1 off.... seriously?

Yelp
I finally got to go to Oomomo! Last time I was in Markham, I saw the sign and was so excited and went over to see that the doors were locked and they hadn't even opened yet, so I was glad they had had their grand opening and had been open for a while when I returned to Markham. Oomomo is very much like Daiso and they in fact sell lots of Daiso branded items. All items with no price tag are $2. Prices range from $2 to about $30. With most items being under $10. They have items actually from Japan and items designed in Japan but made in China (like Miniso). Lots of kawaii stuff. They have everything from kitchenware to stationery to tools to food. They are like a dollar store except with a Japanese aesthetic and items are more than a dollar. The layout is a bit confusing and it's hard to figure out where you've already been and where you have yet to go if you want to browse the entire store. They don't have straight aisles like conventional dollar stores or grocery stores. Displays are kind of staggered. I loved it in there and could easily spend hours there. The store is in First Markham Place. Lots of free parking.

Yelp
After recently visiting the Don Mills location, my sweetie and I decided to venture out to the Markham mega Japanese version of dollarama. Excitement filled the air upon entering an even larger Oomomo for the first time! Before I realized, someone had already grabbed a shopping cart and was well on her way bargain hunting. Anything you can think of as gadget, you're likely to find it here. The Markham store has a greater selection plus even more products than at Don Mills. Many products sourced from Japan or China were in the $2-$3 range which was so disarming as a shopper. Low and behold at checkout time, it wasn't surprising to exceed $50 even though I though we were just browsing. Something tells me that my sweetie just found another Fav store. We even tried a gluten free frozen yogurt plus a gelato which was on BOGO sale. Happy wife, happy life!

Yelp
So happy to have heard that Oomomo opened a location in Markham, as my first visit was to their Midland location, too far away for me. Bring right next to First Markham Place, and other retailers, it's nice as you can hit many places with this one stop. However, this also means there's an abundance of people and along with that, parking may be difficult on some days. When you walk into the store, it's bright and spacious. This "Japanese dollar store" carries a wide range of items, from beauty products to stationery to kitchen ware, and even imported snacks and candies (my favorite section). Do keep in mind though that like most dollar stores, not everything is under a dollar or two, but these are carefully labeled if so. You don't really interact with the staff, except for at the cash register; but they're efficient in what they do and always thank you for making a purchase with them.
google avatar

Yelp
They have everything and everything cute!!! It's a Japanese style two dollar store (unless otherwise stated) that sells snacks, craft supplies, stationery, make up, skin care, home stuff for kitchen for bathroom for gardening, stuff for your car, etc. They also sell stuff that are branded daiso so I'm not sure they are essentially the same company. I went on grand opening day and it's packed but it's not uncomfortably crowded. The line was relatively fast too. They had a lucky draw every hour. Everything they sell is so cute! And I can tell many are of good quality. Of course not every single items are cheaper than other stores but you definitely have a lot more choices and choices that you seldom see from other stores. See pix for reference. Too big of a store for me to take pix of everything. If you are into crafts or cooking you will be in heaven. You will spend at least an hour in the store if you check out every aisle.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this store opening and they did not disappoint! I tried 2-3 times to shop at the Don Mills location after they first opened, but there was always a huge line up and i gave up. This store is located at Highway 7 & Woodbine in the plaza that used to be home to Home Outfitters and located in the building that used to be Golf Town. I stopped in 2 days after their official opening day and there was no line up outside, but finding parking was brutal. This store is located in a "plaza" that has dozens of stores, restaurants etc. My hubby waited in the car, so i could pop in and take a quick look. Honestly, i didn't know what to expect, i was just hoping to find some cute items that i wouldn't find in the dollar store brands we have here. I was pleasantly surprised to see better quality items, even if they weren't all priced at a dollar or 2. I quickly browsed through 3/4 of the store because i had limited time before picking up my kids from school. I looked through beauty/cosmetics, skin care, hair accessories, arts/crafts (great scrapbooking items), housewares, snack foods, frames, school/office supplies, planters, dog supplies. I could go on but this will take a while, lol. Everything was $2.00 unless otherwise priced with a sticker showing the amount of the item. You can easily spend an hour or 2 in this store because there is just so much to see! I ended up buying my daughter some really cute hair accessories & hairbands and a little pouch to put everything in. Everything cost under $10 and the quality is better than any dollar store i've shopped at in the GTA. There was a line up to pay, but there were at least 6-8 girls on cash and the line moved very quickly. They were very friendly & helpful to answer any questions i had. I know i missed a few sections of the store, so I will definitely be back!

Yelp
I totally dig this place. Japanese products are the best. I am borderline obsessed with Daiso (I made sure to check their stores out both in the US & when I went to Japan). While Daiso hasn't made the trek to the GTA, this shop is the next best thing. It is *huge* for one. You could easily get lost in here. Their items aren't necessarily a buck each but it's not unreasonable. They offer household products, stationary, snacks, the list goes on. During may /spring, they also collaborated with Pablo (Japanese bakery) since they (Pablo) don't have a Markham presence. I hope to check it out soon!
google avatar

Crystal T.

Yelp
Lots of cute Japanese items, when it first opened a lot of items were CAD 2, but given the inflation throughout, the prices have raised quite a bit, but you also have the choice of not shopping here. The place is big and they sell items from beauty, to clothing, kitchenware, arts and crafts to daily household small items to snacks and beverages. Customer service is still wonderful as always.
google avatar

Yelp
I definitely was excited to find out there'd be a japanese style dollar store in the area. They carry some pretty unique, fun items and I really love the dish wares. Great stuff at really low prices. My only big quip with this type of business is the incredible and useless amount of single use plastic and wrapping and packaging they use. It's absolutely destroying the environment and they're bringing it in massive quantities (which means producers will continue to produce more). I really do love the idea of these products and I can certainly understand the appeal of convenience etc. I hope the company will consider the environmental impacts too in the future

Yelp
When I saw that this place got rated 4 stars, I'm like what's wrong with people. Then when I sorted the reviews, I noticed that the lowest ranked review was a 4 *wipes sweat*. So humanity is still okay, how can anyone hate on this store? It's like an upgraded version of Dollarama! They import all our favourite items from Japan, and not just from Daiso, I've seen goods from Seria (the other love of my life). I love coming here, my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy. At first, you are overwhelmed, you don't even know what to buy. You will either fall in one of two categories: 1) buy everything, or 2) buy nothing. For the latter, you will be like me - drawing a mental map or blueprint of this place because you know...you will be back! There is no shortage of items here, you really have to buy their stickers lols. Anyways I came for their soft opening and won $10, ended up buying: picture frame, case for glasses, a pack of tissue paper, and food. After shopping here a few times, I recommend you go to Japan and shop at Daiso, lols.

Yelp
It's a cute Japanese "2 dollar store" with massive inventory - what else could you want in Markham?! Oomomo took over the old Golf Town so the store grounds are huge! If you're looking for an obscure trinket or something artsy to complete that school/DIY project of yours, you'll likely find what you're looking for here. Do note that not everything is $2 and some of the items can go up to $5-10 as well but this place is essentially a one-stop-shop for things you didn't even know you needed. It's very easy to lose track of time here and spend an hour just wandering around. Also, funny enough, if you're an average-heighted Asian girl, there is a very high chance that you'll get lost here as the shelves are all slightly taller than 5'2 and everyone wears their hair the same way. Stay diligent my short friends and stick with your group!

Yelp
Went during their soft opening and this store is massive. Prepare to spend a lot of time at Oomomo as there are aisles upon aisles of Japanese goods. It can be a little overwhelming as there are many unique, innovative, or cute things to look at. I mostly spent my time in the stationary section. There is a whole aisle of washi tapes for you washi tape addicts. ;) I picked up most of the stuff I wanted as I learned you can't really think twice. From previous experience at the Don Mills location, if you want something get it because they will most likely be sold out the next time you decide to come back.

Yelp
This store is big, bright and spacious! They have a good selection of items in all different categories; from makeup & skincare, to home organization, to stationary and kitchenware. They definitely carry a lot. When it comes to makeup and skincare, I found some well-priced makeup tools, sheet masks, and skincare essentials. Overall, Oomomo is pretty decent. It was definitely worth checking out

Yelp
Happy to see an Oomomo in Markham. Last time I visited my family Oomomo was only in North York, so glad to see they expanded. If you've been to Oomomo in North York it's largely the same variety here: Daiso-inspired Japanese goods, stationery, kitchenettes, and snacks. The store is quite big, which if you've been to Golf Town before they closed shouldn't be that surprising. Many items you won't find in other stores, so I definitely recommend visiting here... ...that is, if you can survive the epic parking situation that is First Markham Place. Regardless, I'd still go but maybe during off peak times.

Yelp
Basically a Daiso or Miniso but larger. Grand opening crowd control was handled very well, no crowds and only a short line up outside. Everything is Japanese themed and priced like a dollar store. Has a good assortment of products and it Looks like it is better quality than their Chinese counterparts at Pacific Mall. Worth a visit if you're looking to kill some time and mindlessly walk around for a bit. Edit: After looking around, it appears there's basically a Daiso section. So my initial impression was on point.

Yelp
Really cute store with affordable houseware good, beauty products, and craft supplies! I honestly came here for the snacks, which there was a decent selection, but I wished there was more variety. Even though I came for snacks, I left with a few beauty items too! The store is very organized and well laid out, but there were quite a lot of people inside so it was hard to keep at a distance (especially in the snack area). They do keep things very clean though!

Yelp
Pros: Crazy inventory Most items are $2 Not cash only Cons: Parking is tough during peak hours Oomomo is great Japanese type (2) dollar store. They have tons of items that start at $2. You can find virtually everything you need around the home at this place. My wife and kids are totally in love in this place. They could spend the whole day here no problem. There are 2 locations currently in the city. I prefer this location as it's located at First Markham and it's the bigger of the 2 locations in my opinion. For a place with such a large inventory, it never feels like they have crammed as much as they can. There's always a good amount of space to maneuver around here. Like I said earlier, you can basically find anything you need around the house here. Most of the items here cost just 2 dollars. Anything that's not is clearly labelled here so there's no surprise either. The staff when you checkout also make note of every item that's not $2 as well. I'm just astounded by the amount of everyday items you can find here. There's a ton of Japan-centric items you just can't find anywhere else here. As a bonus, most of the stores of this nature only accept cash. Oomomo is probably the only one that accepts debit and credit cards. The toughest part about coming to either location is parking. Both locations are located in a space with a good amount of parking, but if you've ever driven to First Markham during peak eating hours, you know you're in for an adventure to find a parking spot. Even though I'm not as crazy about this place as others are, I totally get the hype surrounding this place. At the very least, it's an ultra useful place to get everyday items at an extremely great price. You can't go wrong here!

Yelp
Oomomo on 7 is huge and sells basically anything you can think of for the home and office. It's like stepping into a dollar store version of Miniso. It may fire up your inner Marie Kondo mode, making you want to start organizing every little drawer/shelf you own. Everything was $2 but some items may be a bit higher. Lookout for the tiny little price tag as it's easy to miss. I wanted to get a huge bin but it was $10... wanted an umbrella but it was $4. Ended up purchasing a small lunch box with two inner compartments for my LO, simple vehicles colouring book(good for young toddlers), drawstring bag (hoping to use it as a wet bag), grey bin for toys. Such good deals!! They also sold my favourite Calbee chips but most grocery stores sold it at the same price anyway. Def check out Oomomo! They literally have everything! Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
First time coming here since COVID-19 isolation. Happy I came when they opened on Saturday, calm and not full of shoppers! Didn't notice any arrows in the floor etc, but they do have a "mask mandatory" sign just inside the entrance. Love this place for all the innovative gadgets and goodies from Japan or Japanese-designed!

Yelp
Pretty fun spot to look at all sorts of cute Japanese knick knacks as well as some useful house hold goods. This location is larger and has more variety of goods. There are a mix of good made in Japan and made in China. I will look for the ones made in Japan if possible. There are a few different sections. Household, Arts and Crafts, Outdoor gardening, and my Favourite the Food section! There are a variety of different Japanese snacks and food items. There are also cooking ingredients. 1 cool item I bought was a curry instant noodle. There is no seasoning packets like your traditional instant noodles. Instead, the curry flavour is already infused into the noodles themselves. So after to put them into water the water turns into a curry soup. Pretty neat! I have also gotten a few unique stickies and cards from here. Found stickies in the shape of a pack of Wagyu! Drools!! Worth checking out to buy a few things!

Yelp
This store sells Japanese items for $2 unless otherwise stated. Lots of household items, cosmetics, stationary, food/snacks, etc I was there for their soft opening. While the lines for the cashiers were long, there was plenty of staff available and they were very efficient. The store was quite big and provided a comfortable shopping environment. Most of the prices were reasonable for Canada standards. However I found the snack and drinks that were sold were a bit overpriced compared to other stores. I will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
Spacious, lots of varieties, well organized and friendly staff! So excited to see the sushi and cookies mould that they have. The stationery section won't disappoint you too. We went on a weekend and it was a bit crowed so I think it may be better to go during weekdays. Will definitely come back

Yelp
This place is awesome for buying random cheap things from a Daiso or a Seria. I like that now I don't have to travel to Japan just to stock up on daiso stuff because I can get most of it here. A great alternative to One's. Sadly though, snacks are on the pricier side.

Yelp
This place is really adorable with a great variety of home and kitchen must-haves. From plates, pots, orgami papers, japanese snacks, soft drinks, to baking tools. The aisles are designed so everything is easily accesible. I found the really nice black slate plates which I can use display mini desserts. If you want to kind your place neat and tidy with a Japanese flair, this is definitely the place to visit. I would call this a toonie store since most items are 2 dollars.
