"Why we love it: A stylish stay that brings Miami glam to Clearwater Beach The Highlights: - Ocean views from nearly every guest room - A stunning, zero-entry pool overlooking the beach - A gorgeous art collection with original pieces by Christopher Still The Review: A sleek high-rise overlooking Clearwater Beach, Opal Sands Resort stands out for its modern architecture and stylish vibe. Here, everything from the guest rooms to the restaurants to the events venues feature sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico, putting guests squarely in a beach frame of mind. The 230 rooms and suites feature generously sized layouts, complete with deluxe bedding, spa-style bathrooms, and private balconies framing Clearwater’s famous sunsets, while common spaces come decorated with an impressive art collection both created and curated by Floridian master Christopher Still. When not taking in the vistas, guests can sunbathe by the zero-entry pool and hot tub, or rent a beach chair or cabana and head down to Clearwater Beach. Also available are a waterfront fitness center, a full-service spa, complimentary bicycle rentals, and a corn hole toss on the event lawn. There are even four dining outlets on site, from Sea-Guini (for freshly caught seafood and handmade pastas) to the Sandbar (for cocktails and live music right on the beach)."

I'm not really sure where I can start this review off, but let me just say this is me And my girlfriend's new favorite place to go. We normally go to Myrtle Beach every year. That will stop after we visited Here the service was above and beyond. the food was amazing. The atmosphere was great and the hotel was so clean. Not to mention every single employee made you feel welcomed and right at home, very attentive and gave us everything we needed and more. I could type a 5 page paragraph about this hotel seriously. One of the best I will not even consider booking anywhere else. This is our new to go vacation spot. It is a all in luxury hotel for a very affordable price, multiple restaurants on-site, multiple activities and let me just start by saying. If you're worried about the resort fees or anything, they are definitely going Into the resort and you are getting your money's worth complementary ice cream by the pool, everyday complementary pantry on every single floor stocked in the morning and afternoon, look no farther. If you are looking for a nice luxury vacation at an affordable price, this place goes above and beyond. Not to mention you get to use there's sister hotel that has a bridge connecting both of them. That also has more restaurants on that side plus 2 more pools and a hot tub. You're basically getting 2 high end luxury hotels for the price of one. I could go on and on but I will just end it off with This is a must see for yourself hotel.

Opal Sands Resort is amazing! The service was outstanding, rooms were big and super comfortable, and the hotel restaurants were delicious. The sunsets over the Gulf were absolutely breathtaking! Worth the trip alone. The location is great, you can walk anywhere, but honestly, I never wanted to leave the hotel. We loved our morning bike rides, 2:00 pm ice cream cart and homemade cookies in the pantry! Such nice touches! Can’t wait to come back!

I had an absolutely amazing day at Opal Spa & Resort in Clearwater with a girlfriend! From start to finish, it was pure relaxation. The massage was incredible, and we spent the day enjoying the heated pools, extra perks like cucumber towels, and the serene spa room. The rest and relaxation area was also amazing, with warm towels, yummy teas, and tasty snacks. The staff was kind and attentive without being intrusive, making the experience even more enjoyable. One of my favorite spa days to date—I highly recommend treating yourself and splurging here! And if you do choose a spa service, give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all of the amenities!

The room was spectacular. Lots of space. Lots of added bonuses like fresh cookies, snacks, bags of ice and cold bottled waters. Breathtaking ocean views from our bedroom and balcony. Perfect for sunset lovers. The bar was amazing, the restaurant was amazing. And you also have access to their sister hotel which is just steps away. Definitely will return for another long weekend.

Upon arrival our bags were taken to our room by Matty who was extremely helpful explaining how the room has great sunset views, the location of the pantry with water, ice and fresh cookies and letting the children know about ice cream o'clock around the pool each day. |Valet parking was quick and efficient.|The room was clean and nicely decorated, the wardrobe is quite small for 4 people sharing. The beds were comfortable and the gowns a nice touch.|The view from the balcony and the loungers around the pool meant we saw dolphins and manatees. The room accommodates 4 but there are only 2 chairs on the balcony.|Access to the beach is direct from the hotel and it's only a short walk to local shops and restaurants.|It would have been a 5 star review had the hotel handled a complaint about someone smoking weed from a nearby room better, I was expected to know which room the smell was coming from and whilst an offer was made on 2 occasions to send a text to guests reminding them of the no smoking policy. I saw no evidence that this happened and it spoilt our enjoyment of the balcony and room for us and our children. I requested a room change which the hotel refused.

We recently stayed here over Labor Day weekend and had an amazing time! The hotel is wonderful! All of the staff are pleasant and helpful. Hotel is perfectly located on Clearwater Beach within walking distance to everything. Everything is clean and well appointed. Love the free bottled water, ice cream, popcorn, cookies and more available throughout the day! Rented a cabana by the pool and the service was excellent!

We checked in early and were very happy to be welcomed right away with no wait. The check-in process was quick and easy, and it was awesome that the manager personally thanked us for returning and being loyal guests over the years (we’ve been staying here for 7 years now!), the manager kindly offered us a choice of room views, allowing us to select our preferred orientation facing the ocean — a thoughtful gesture that enhanced our overall experience. The resort is always spotless, and the staff consistently go above and beyond to make each stay memorable. We've stayed here multiple times, and it continues to be one of our absolute favorite places. The rooms are so comfortable — it’s the kind of place where you genuinely want to just stay in your room and relax in the incredibly comfy bed. Views are amazing and you can see dolphins and manatees right from your balcony. Available water bottles, snacks, fresh-baked cookies, and individual bags of ice are a nice, thoughtful touch. The bars and restaurants on the property really make it worthwhile. Our anniversary dinner at Sea-Guini was truly special — the attention to detail and the outstanding service from our waitress Hailey made the evening unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Clearwater Beach — and we always do!

A very beautiful hotel with a gorgeous view of the sea. Located right on the coast, it offers unique sunsets. Everything is new and modern. The service is excellent throughout. The pool is very nice, with a view of the sea and is at a height suitable for family gatherings. It also has a bar and excellent service, as well as plentiful towels and sun loungers. The restaurant offers excellent food, from breakfast to dinner. It has 24-hour valet parking. All around, you'll find all kinds of establishments, such as restaurants and bars where you can sit and socialize, with very good and affordable offers. I recommend this hotel for a great vacation.

Yelp
The spa at Opal Sands Resort is lovely. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The waiting area is beautiful and serene. The massage room was private and comfortable. And the massage therapist was kind, professional, talented, and attentive. It was a great massage! FYI: They automatically add a 20% tip.

Yelp
Opal Spa - great experience! If you want an excellent deep tissue massage, book with Tonya, she was awesome!

Yelp
Cancelled our stay due to family illness 48 hours before checkin & was told we must pay the entire amount of our stay. Was even willing to take a credit towards a future stay, but they wouldn't even discuss it. Stayed here w/family multiple times but never again. Will make sure to spread the word about their horrible customer service best I can. I am adding an update & changing to 4 stars because after my "campaign", the hotel accommodated my and my family's reservations to change the date. Reserving the 5th star because had I not been stubborn & diligent I know they would have been happy to take my $$$ & do nothing to rectify the situation.

Yelp
Beware of HIDDEN FEES! Had spa appointments. They added a 'service charge' without notice prior to and had no explanation. No response from the business after multiple attempts. I'd rather spend money at a facility that is upfront about their charges.

Yelp
Safe, modern, and great. I stayed here for 4 days and loved every single part of it, the employees treated me great, there where security cameras so you felt safe, and most importantly the beach was fantastic, oh and don't get me started on the food (also there fries are amazing) I overall loved the experience, so I would rate it a 9.5/10.

Yelp
Don't recommend staying here. I was actually assaulted on the property and the police were called. When they asked to see the security footage the hotel told that not all areas of the property have cameras. So the hotels answer to the problem was to kick myself and the other party out without any refund. Needless to say what type of hotel doesn't have there entire property protected with security cameras especially one that is so expensive. I am sure that this doesn't happen all the time but you would expect them to have camera coverage at their valet parking counter which is right next to their entrance.

Yelp
Love this beautiful hotel. Everything and everyone were awesome. My only suggestion is to turn the music down a bit at the pool.

Yelp
This was our first family trip for the kids(8 & 4 yrs), the experience was amazing. The hotel is extremely kis friendly, the staff was superb in every sense. Always willing to help and tend to our wants and needs. Just to mention a few of the staff members that stood out in their excellence in service were Gary/bar, Dennis/Valet, Daynalee/frontdesk and overall all of the staff members were great. Valenzuelas.

Yelp
The Opal Sands Resort offers stunning oceanfront views, free bottled water and convenience of a beach on the property as well as a pool and semi private balcony's. Recently, upon arrival at this establishment, I suffered a fall up the escalator. Carrying my things up the escalator, it was moving so fast, I could barely get myself and things on before I realized I'd fell and was now being carried along by the escalator. The concierge on duty managed to stop the escalator and I was assisted getting up and off by a kind guest. However, I was then offered a bottle of water and a coconut, instead of paperwork for an accident report. When I inquired further, and for first aid resources, all they had on hand was an anti-itch packet, as the hotel store was closed. After spending a hefty amount on this stay, plus paying for parking at 40 dollars a night, I would say, the least I could have been given was proper first aid. My body sustained several scratches, bruises and back pain, yet, nothing was ever offered to support my injury. I love this hotel and it's amenities, though I should not have to pay for a beach chair after all the resort fees paid. I also find it most difficult to believe that I was not told there was an elevator available for my use, or provided with better first aid care.

Yelp
Just finished the best massage I have ever had. Heather was an angel with golden hands. Her technique was out of this world. I never had a more relaxing massage. A++++. Heather is a rockstar!!!
