Christmas in Monte Carlo was truly beautiful. It felt like being in another dreamy and fantastic kingdom. I highly recommend you visit at least once. Come to the plaza in front of the Opera House.

The hall is stunning — truly breathtaking. But don’t you dare order wine at the café by the entrance unless you’re in the mood for juice with a strange smell. The service there was awful, too. In any case, we attended the pianist Vsevolod Zavidov’s concert — he was phenomenal, and the acoustics were excellent. A highly recommended experience!

The Opéra de Monte-Carlo, also known as the Salle Garnier, is a jewel of Monaco’s cultural life. Designed by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera, it features stunning Belle Époque architecture and a richly decorated interior. The opera house is intimate yet elegant, creating a unique atmosphere for performances. Even if you are not an opera lover, the building itself is worth seeing for its beauty and history.

We went to see the Fantom of the Opera show on Christmas eve and it was magical. An experience worth doing at least once in a lifetime. The show was amazing, the sound system was perfect and the venue itself simply splendid. The chairs are not very confortable for a 2.5h of sitting, but the rest of the experience makes it worth your pain. We loved it! The price was affordable: 100€ /person and we booked online long in advance to have good seats.
