Opera dei Pupi - Syracuse

A super memorable experience! Honestly I wasn’t the most excited for puppets but was thoroughly entertained. The actors brought great passion to the performance and the puppeteering had us buying into the story. The venue is fun. If we had more time, we would have gone back for another different show.

I don't speak Italian, so I didn't know how much I would enjoy, but I thought it would be unique. It was a wonderful time and a very unique experience. Everyone was extremely kind. If you need a good laugh, take a moment to read the one star reviews of people complaining about the violence and that their children were separated and seated right upfront. This is a kind crew of wonderful artist that I hope they keep this tradition alive for years.

Absolutely fantastic experience and incredible performance. Definitely do not miss a chance to see the show and visit the museo!

It was a real pleasure to watch the puppet show at the puppet theatre in Siracusa, my friend and I were so excited to see that for the first time. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. The puppet dresses were amazing and you can notice that the company is composed by very professional actors who made the show really funny and enjoyable. Highly recommended

Seeing the puppet show was one of my favorite things about visiting Syracuse. It is a really outstanding experience! The puppets look so life-like and full of expression and the shows are really compelling!

Amazing, beautiful, dramatic. Never seen a puppet show this good. They are talented and they give a summary in Italian and English before, so it's not hard to follow the plot. Highly recommend.

A gem of a more modern history and one you must experience!! Tucked away in a building many centuries old, preserving and preforming a traditional art form that mesmerizes all ages both young and old. The actors/puppeteers are so friendly as you arrive and their performance captivating. Although the show is all Italian , one of the performers presents an overview of the story in English as the opener so you easily understand the story being preformed even if you don’t speak Italian! A UNESCO site and for very good reason! A definite MUST when in this ancient city!

We loved the pupi show in Opera dei Pupi - siracuse. They made a great performance and a fantastic job preserving this ancient art. As the show is in Italian maybe a suggestion to the non italian speakers could be some legends projected somewhere to help.
