"The Opium Theater sits on the second level of The Cosmopolitan, next to the Rose.Rabbit.Lie supper club. The theater is intimate—just a half-circle stage at the front—but since the show is about a spaceship that takes guests from Uranus to Las Vegas, the venue is meant to feel like the set of a science-fiction movie: a cheesy, albeit fun, one. It’s also a fitting way to cap off your Vegas vacation if you’re had your fill of partying and gambling." - Juliana Shallcross

Opium was such a great time. I’ve recently seen the show absinthe and wanted to give this one a try since it seems to be along the same lines. It held my attention the entire show and was laugh out loud all at the same time. All of the performers were amazing. Specifically the guy who blows the crazy cool bubbles at the very end of the show. I’ve seen a lot of different talent type variety shows and this specific act was something extremely unique that I’ve never seen before. I was blown away. The show is interactive. We were lucky enough to be right in front. It was totally worth it. When you buy your ticket you have the option to have pizza delivered to your seat… uhh yes please. I’ll never say no to pizza. Overall such an amazing experience. Definitely check out superfrico for dinner before the show. You won’t be disappointed. It’s all part of the full experience.

Just saw Opium this week while in Vegas. Was really looking forward to it as Absynth is my favorite all time show and it didn't disappoint. The lead "robot" lady was so hilarious. The acts were all really good as well. We went on a Wed night and got upgraded seats due to empties, although I can't imagine there is a seat in the house that would be bad given it is a smaller venue. Would highly recommend (assuming you don't get offended easily 😂).

I have seen Opium 5 times now, it’s my favorite show in Vegas to take my friends to! Every time I see the show, it’s different. Some of my favorite acts I always see in the show include the cyr wheel “Saturn and his Ring” which is crazy to see this guy spinning so fast on such a tiny stage… he is so cool!!! He was my friends’ favorite act as well. I have even met the performer: Nick. The Bubbles act is the best kind of that act that I have ever seen… it is like Mr. Rogers meets Willy Wonka and Bill Nye the Science guy, and then boom: bubbles. Another one of my favorites is the straight jacket escape to “No One” by Alicia Keys. I haven’t seen that act in a while, but it’s definitely an act that I keep coming back for! They have a new Limbo act that is way too much fun, and another act (that I’m not sure how to identify) which is a percussion/body percussion/beatboxing trio. Characters I wish I saw more of lately are: Skip, Captain Kunton, and whatever the robot guy’s name was. I also adore the VIP couple (a hilariously disgusting act with bananas), and Venus the screeching plate spinner. If you’re thinking of seeing Opium, GO!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the show, but some of the acts were a little akward. I did not understand the point of the topless cowgirl girl and the contortionist seemed to be on something. However, the bartender and staff were kind and I loved the bubble guy!

Enjoyed the show very much. The talented performers that put on a raunchy undertone performance of excellent acrobatic and performing talents was just what we wanted that night. The hostess was great and the crowd was loving every minute.

The show was very funny and entertaining with just the right amount of raunchy!! Loved how they participated so much with the audience. The bubbles were sensational!! Pretty cool to see the guy with the dog in the bar after the show just as a regular cat! We did the dinner and a show package. Dinner was limited to a special menu however it was very delicious! There was entertainment during dinner in the form of Lounge singers that we're both very enjoyable and fun! Our waiter was so so but still overall a wonderful entertaining evening in Vegas!!

Absinthe is my favorite show in Vegas, and Opium is similar but a small step down compared to it. They were all very good individual performances but just didn’t quite transition together as well. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable show overall. I would go again.
