There are hundreds of guesthouses to choose from in Siem Reap, and most of them are exactly the same. There wasn't much that was special about Oral d'Angkor, with a fairly basic, if somewhat larger than usual, fan-cooled room. The price was good, and the double room had two beds, which is always nice for laying your stuff out on. It got pretty hot in the evening, and this is the cool season, so consider this if you're not very heat tolerant. The location is decent, taking about 20 minutes to walk to most of the things you'd be interested in around Pub Street. Though it's far enough away from popular backpacker hotels like Funky Flashpacker that you won't be hearing music blaring all night. They also have a pretty unbeatable laundry service, $0.50/kg if you don't need it ironed and are willing to wait 24 hours. I would consider staying here again, but there are other hotels in the same area for the same price that might be a little nicer.
