We stayed here for a week bed and breakfast, although we enjoyed our stay I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel. The pool areas are great, sun beds are very comfortable and we never struggled to get one regardless of what time we went to the pool. We were staying on the lower level so only used this pool but the others looked great too. The location is ideal and only a 5/10 minute walk into Fira and to the bus stop where we got the short bus journey to Oia and Kamari all for 2 euros.||It’s a very peaceful hotel which is great for relaxing but not for those after a bit of atmosphere, the pool areas are completely silent with nothing going on at the hotel.||Breakfast is poor especially for a 5 star, the cooked breakfast does not look appealing, the bacon was barely cooked. During our stay I only saw someone on the omelette station twice. Was very surprised at the lack of fresh fruit, there is a fruit bowl with some oranges in and that’s usually it. There are jugs of tinned fruit but nothing fresh. Coffee is from the machine, better coffees can be bought from the pool bar I recommend the iced coffee. Cutlery and mugs often ran out and had to ask staff to replace. || There were robes and slippers in the room when we first checked in but after using them once, we noticed they were taken away to be washed but never replaced which is a shame.||We had a very late flight on our final day so asked a few days beforehand to see if we could keep the room for longer, we were told to try again on the morning of departure. We were then told the hotel was fully booked so must check out at 11, which I understand can’t be helped although I did notice rooms still available to book online. We were told we could not use the spa facilities but were able to shower downstairs however both showers did not work properly and only had cold water which is not what’s expected of a 5 star. Staff are ok, some more friendly than others but we found they weren’t very attentive or welcoming as we were never greeted at reception or at breakfast.||Overall, it’s a nice hotel aesthetically pleasing with great pool areas but not somewhere I’d rush back too if visiting Fira again as feel it does not live up to its star rating and price.

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended!|We had a fantastic holiday staying at Orama hotel and spa. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful throughout our stay. The location is superb, easy to explore the island. Facilities were top-notch, pool and restaurant areas amazing. Our room was both stylish and well-equipped, making it a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived super early in the morning (4am) due to an early flight. The staff was incredibly kind and allowed us to rest and use the common area facilities while we waited for our room to be ready later in the day. The hotel pools are wonderful and the staff is very accommodating with drinks, food allergies, and making sure that everything you need you have. They had towels by the pool everyday for use and breakfast and dinner included for us which made coming back from later days super easy since we didn’t need to find somewhere to eat dinner every night. It’s a 5 min walk from the bus station and 5 min from the start I’d the main Fira area. It’s an incredible location and our room was immaculate. The staff helped with bags and If they saw you walking down to your room that was a bit far they would offer you a ride in the golf cart. The services provided by the front desk were great as well including boat tours and a car rental service with pick up and drop off at the hotel which made things incredibly easy and simple. There are multiple pools so they don’t get too crowded and each room has it’s own little patio entrance which made slow mornings very enjoyable. The breakfast options were great and Olympia at the omelet station was so kind every morning despite it being very busy. The entire experience was wonderful.

This place is beautiful and ultra- modern. My room was huge (nice surprise, since I book with a group, but pay extra for a single room, usually get stuck with a tiny space). The room was quite large and lovely. We had a buffet breakfast each morning which had plenty of food, but was only average. The best thing for me was a cappuccino machine. Great location, just a short walk into town. Three levels (lots of steps) with three pools. Plenty of space and comfortable lounges with large umbrellas (food/cocktail service poolside). |The only small complaint about this hotel, is the lighting at night. Lots of steps to get to my room on the lower level and the lighting is very poor.

Stayed at Orama recently with family!|Hotel itself was perfectly situated for an easy walk into Fira|Clinical & basic decor inside which seems to be the norm in Greece!|Customer service practically none existent in this hotel|Severe lack of Managerial Skills!!|The whole place is run on a skeleton staff basis!|Who were expected to work in every role! |At breakfast At the pool bar etc etc!|Don’t blame the staff at all !|Overworked & under trained! |Expected to run the hotel while the manager sits in his office out of the way! |Breakfast as to be the worst I have every seen!|No fresh fruit Minimal choice of cold badly cooked food!|Never any plates cups or cutlery!|No table service plates never cleared away!|Pool towels as thin as tissue with fraying edges the lot need binning!|Although the pool itself is nice with very comfy sunbeds there’s no atmosphere whatsoever no poolside service no background music! Nothing!|Rooms are very spacious and kept clean!|It’s such a shame this hotel is not better managed it could be amazing but needs serious attention to make it worthy of a five star rating!|People are paying a high price to stay here an deserve better than 3 star offerings!

Positives - lovely hotel, nice decor, spotlessly clean, lovely rooms, good location.||Negatives - cooked breakfast cold every morning. The staff don’t appear to want to work, had to ask every day for a knife and fork, never saw a spoon. The lady on the omelette station wasn’t friendly and disappeared regularly.||I had to ask every day for milk sachets to use with instant coffee sachets in the room, I was told by an employee that only allowed 2 milks per day! Seems trivial but if it wants to be a five star hotel, needs some fine tweaking.

I have just returned form a week at Orama hotel & spa and unfortunately have returned disappointed with our stay vs the amount of money it cost to stay there. ||I’d like to highlight the positives which would be the cleanliness and aesthetics of the hotel. The rooms are cleaned promptly each morning and to a high standard. The hotel looks great with 3 large pools and sunbed areas with a clean and modern decor and rooms are supplied with free water daily. |The hotel is also in a good location to walk in to Fira (5 minutes) or to get taxis / buses to surrounding villages Oia and Kamari. || Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The breakfast offering for a hotel rated 5* was the worst I have seen. The lack of fresh fruit and juice in particular were common complaints I heard but also the breakfast options were so limited and the stuff they did put out was cold and did not look appetising. They ran out of coffee mugs most mornings meaning a slight wait to replenish and the coffee options were very basic from an outdated machine. ||My other observation is that the hotel is probably best suited to couples / elderly guests who want a very relaxing break. The pool areas are almost silent with no atmosphere of music for guests to enjoy. There was no evening entertainment and staff were not the most welcoming. ||I booked this hotel as it said they also had a spa which looked lovely. However, when we got there we realised this is an additional cost and you can only use the spa facilities if you pay to have a treatment. This seemed unreasonable again given how much it cost to stay at Orama hotel & spa. The gym is free to use however very small and basic and often overcrowded if you tried to go in the morning. ||The staff whilst pleasant did not go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. On our first night, we waited over 25 minutes in the restaurant for someone to come and speak to us and take a drinks order. ||Based on the above, I would say this hotel is a 3* at best due to the breakfast offering, atmosphere and overall attentiveness of the staff. The aesthetics and cleanliness are 5* but I would not return on that basis.

5.6|“Disappointing Experience – Staff Insensitivity Towards Disability”|I stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Before arrival, I contacted the hotel to request a suite close to the amenities due to my disability. On arrival, I was initially allocated a suite I wasn’t happy with, the mattress was uncomfortable, the sofa bed my daughter slept in was sliding back, which was very uncomfortable, the shower hose wasn’t working and there were spiders and ants in the room but a kind supervisor (a gentleman whose name I sadly don’t recall) arranged for us to move to a family room that was more cleaner ,spacious and closer to the pools and restaurants. The beds were also more comfortable. This was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, the entire stay was overshadowed by the behaviour of one staff member, Thanos. After a short 5-minute walk to a nearby supermarket with my daughters, I politely requested the buggy back to my room (as the supervisor had previously confirmed I could arrange in advance). Thanos insinuated that my disability was not genuine. When my daughter pointed out how inappropriate and offensive this was, he laughed and refused to apologise, saying he had nothing to be sorry for. To make matters worse, I later learned that the hotel told the booking agents they do not have facilities for disabled guests. This was never mentioned to me directly, despite me having contacted them before arrival to explain my needs. Such a lack of honesty and care is unacceptable. I have lived with chronic pain for over 15 years, and for someone to dismiss my condition so casually - with no apology or reprimand from management was extremely hurtful. Disabilities are often hidden, and no one knows what another person may be enduring. Comments like these are unacceptable anywhere, but especially in a hotel that claims to provide hospitality and care for its guests. What could have been a positive stay was ultimately ruined by this incident. A hotel that allows its staff to make such remarks without consequence shows little regard for its customers’ wellbeing.
