Orange Drive Hostel

Stayed: 15/06/2023- 18/06/2023||Amazing stay at Orange Drive Hostel. It was in the perfect location, off the main Boulevard so it's quiet and peaceful but only a 5 minute walk away to get back into the hustle of it. Beautiful gardens to enjoy and relax in, washing facilities available too which was handy, and the host in the lobby was always really friendly and nice. |Bedroom was clean, bathroom was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here immensely.

I’ve stayed in quite a few hostels, and this was honestly one of the best. It was really clean, the bathroom was attached to our room and very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even helped me save money with my booking due to an error from a third party booking site! Great price for the location, too—super close to the Hollywood Bowl and other points of interest. Will stay here next time I’m in LA :)

Highly recommend this hostel! Conveniently located 2 min from Walk of Fame Hollywood. Staff are super nice, allowing late check-in until 3AM and storing luggage after check-out. Clean, peaceful, budget-friendly with bunk beds and single rooms

Really friendly staff who go above and beyond. Alex at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Nice rooms and the kitchen is great. The building has a nice old Hollywood vibe. It is located very close to Hollywood blvd. Great if you are traveling alone or with someone.

I hate to give a 2-star review, because the staff were kind, and they tried their best to keep it clean. HOWEVER…As I was making my morning coffee, a family of newly hatched roaches was on the kitchen counter. Then one of my electronic items went missing, and I can’t say who took it. The only staff that was stanky was the part-time evening staff, who got on me about drinking a pop in the room because “it attracts bugs.” Great. Pretty sad, considering they DO try.

The place overall was quite cute! We stayed for 3 nights. The kitchen is equipped and has 3 fridge so you can put your labelled food in it. We had a private room, so we had a bathroom included in the room. The room is very basic but clean and fine. I was hoping for atleast a hook or something to hang my wet towel, but there wasn't quite too much storage other than 1 shelf. I've never seen a bathroom like this :D it was a shower, toilet and sink all in one. This means it's all wet once you shower. They had a hairdryer in the room which came in handy. At night, it was a bit loud as you heard people talking through the thin walls right away. The location was perfect, right in Hollywood Centre. The one thing that bothered me the most is that the whole place has a weird smell. However, I still recommend the hostel and think it is good.

It's hard to give 5 stars in a shared male dorm. Lovely building, old antique feel. Old Hollywood. Super close to star-walk and historical buildings and places. Lots to see here. Fridges with food labels, and outdoor dining patio. Quite nice space

Had always stayed in the area and walked by this establishment many times. I decided to give it a try and was surprised by first how clean the area is and how big it is inside. Check in went very smoothly Alejandro at the desk was very helpful got settled in very quickly to my room, he showed me around telling me where the laundry facilities in the kitchen are the room I found to be very comfortable, the pillows are a little hard so next time I’ll bring my own pillow, there is ample restrooms and showers throughout the house. Everybody was very friendly. They have a nice sitting area in the courtyard and parking for $10 per day. You can’t beat the location. Everything is nearby from Hollywood Boulevard the Griffith, Observatory to downtown, Los Angeles, many museums. The metro is nearby something to do for everyone. Very reasonable rate for Hollywood and again it’s very clean. It’s an older house that’s got some very interesting artifacts in it. Don’t miss the collections of old phones in the different hallways. I look forward to my next visit.
