Went to play pool today. The music was fairly loud, and was turning off and on every three seconds... Pure torture. (Honestly, it was like someone was turning the volume knob from zero to eight, over and over and over.)
Asked one of the waitresses about it - she shrugged and went to ask her co-worker. Came back and said the Sirius signal was messed, but that if I pumped the jukebox full of money and chose my own songs, it would override the on-again, off-again music.
Finished my beer and my game, and left. Had a last word with waitress/bartender #2 on the way out. Suggested that if the system is broken, they should just use the jukebox. "I don't have the money for that" was the response. "I've talked to the manager, he talked to Sirius like two days ago."
OK. To the manager - first, if the music is broken, don't leave it turned up. Second, until you fix the system, put a million credits on the jukebox and tell the waitresses to let everyone know they should choose some music, as they come in. And third, to the waitresses; grow a pair. If you're losing clients, and you don't have the key to the jukebox; open the till. Take forty bucks, pump the machine full, and tell your manager why your float is $40 light. He can get it from the machine. If he's not a complete idiot, he'll thank you for stopping your customers from leaving and going to play elsewhere (which I did).
