Orazio Palace Hotel

The hotel was modern and clean. It is on the Vatican side of the river but all sites were pretty walkable. The furthest being the Colloseum about 50 minutes walk away. Taxis were plentiful and quick.||The room was a bit dark for us and the shower drainage/door needed attention as the bathroom flooded. Also we would have liked proper cups for tea & coffee not paper ones.||Breakfast was good and varied and all the staff we met were friendly. The rooftop bar had great views, however, the beer was a bit pricey!!

A great hotel in terms of location and roof top terrace views. If you like sleek, masculine, contemporary hotels, this is good place to stay. Lots of young locals frequent the terrace bar in the evening and whilst it was lovely to see young local people celebrating, they were the focus. The layout of the centre bar area on the terrace definately needs to be reorganised. Staff squeezed in the centre of the terrace, working quickly to serve everyone. The rooms we had were facing the rear centre of the hotel and whilst we understood the art deco theme, they were very dark. Some might like this cave like feeling after a busy day of sight seeing however. There was only an offering of powered milk in the rooms?! What tea drinker on this earth would want powered milk? The breakfast selection was good, pastries very good, but there was some misses on quality. The scrambled eggs were okay and there wasn't any fresh juice, just different variations of squash.

Great location and looks like a quality hotel and is on many levels. Rooms are modern and spacious which is great for a travelling family. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast (inclusive in price which is awesome) is one of the best we have had one our travels through Europe, with great views.|If you take a close look, the bathrooms appear nice and spacious, and are just that, but a further look and you can see black mold gathering in places around the shower, some obvious flooding into wooden areas (our shower flooded after a 3-minute shower), but to the credit of staff, they attended to this in minutes to sort it out. Having renovated our bathrooms at home recently, I can see this is not new to the room we stayed in (warped wood/water damaged).|The hotel does have lots of bells and whistles (automatic blinds, great room lighting and temperature, with comfortable large beds), which add to extra comforts of the hotel.|One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its fitness center. However, it is small and requires you to book a time, which restricts your freedom to access, which was frustrating (and annoying) and something in all my years of travel, have I had to encounter. If the hotel could consider reviewing this, so that people can enjoy the facility without restriction, I would definitely return. Just be mindful and book this in advance if you want the gym or you will miss out.

Lovely hotel situated in a nice, quiet location. Good base from which to explore Rome. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that housekeeping kept forgetting to replace things like toilet rolls and towels which necessitated calls to reception. Breakfast was fine but the star attraction is the rooftop bar, although the drinks are expensive up there, the views are worth it. All in all, a good hotel.

Mixed feelings. The hotel at the entrance gives the impression of a 4*, friendly staff and an elegant lobby but the further you go the more ordinary it gets. Very small room, not even a way to put your suitcase down, view of the fire stairs. Ok the view is not crucial when staying in Rome, but I don't think any photo on the website shows that you get such a cloister. Similarly the breakfast, super view on the top floor but the quality itself ordinary . Everything laid out on older plastic trays and old warmers . So 3* final

Stayed in the orazio palace for 3 nights in October, check in was quick and easy and room was great! Plenty space and the best bit about it was the windows that opened fully and could sit there and people watch! Bed was very comfy and walk in shower was massive! 5 minute walk from the Vatican, 20 minutes to the trevi fountain and Spanish steps and 35 minutes to the colleseum, area was amazing and the rooftop bar was outstanding! A little bit pricey but to be expected with the views. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice and all the staff are super friendly. If you want somewhere to go local for food, L'isola della is a MUST! Great hotel couldn’t recommend enough.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It was located in a fantastic area, and the staff were very friendly and always available to help us. Our room was clean and we appreciated the modern decoration. The breakfast provided was perfect for our family. Plus, it was only a short walk to famous sights like the Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Pantheon. It couldn't have been more convenient for us especially considering the cost!

Just returned from a weekend stay at this beautiful hotel. ||We arrived at ciampino airport and travelled to the hotel via bus & metro. We purchased a 48HR A-Tac card which was around £12.50 this allowed us to use metro & busses all around Rome, You can purchase these at the airport from the travel stands. We got the the 520 bus to Cinecitta (around 15 mins) then got the metro from Cinecitta to Lepanto (25 mins) then it was a 8 min walk to hotel from station. The busses were regular & trains every 3 mins. I 100% recommend getting public transport to/from airport depending on your time of travel. ||On arrival we were greeted by the reception staff who were all very pleasant and helpful during our stay. ||Located on the 5th Floor our room was very spacious , clean and modern. The bed was HUGE and soo comfy. The shower was amazing and fresh towels were provided. There is a mini bar in the room which had beverages & nuts that were chargeable around $4 euro an item. Plenty of storage and hairdryer included. ||We had breakfast included which was rally nice lots of options to chose from and really tasty. We did not eat from the restaurant nor order from room service however we did have a drink on the rooftop which had an amazing view . The prices were a bit steep for the restaurant and drinks so if you are on a budget your best eating & drinking out. || The hotel itself is lovely and the staff were great. The location is brilliant, so easy to get to all the attractions. You are surrounded by great restaurants & shops spoilt for choice. If i return to rome i would defiantly return to this hotel.
